Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) launches an app especially for travelers to ensure their safe travels. Given that recently, PIA and civil aviation have been under the spotlight for incidents more than usuals, this seems a good measure to counter that.

The application is for Android users only for now since as you know most applications make it to iOS App Store fairly late. The name with which it has been put up is PCAA Hazards and its goal is to become passengers’ go-to app whenever they encounter a hazard or incident in-flight. The Voluntary Hazard/Incident Reporting System. Passengers will be able to contact the authorities at CAA directly for areas such as hazard, incident, accident, damage, deficiency, violation, failure, or in-flight services.

PCAA Hazard’s aim is to give user-friendly platform and resources to the general public and
stakeholders for identifying and reporting hazards and incidents.

1. AZAM SOUP

Located at Baitul Mukarram, Azam soup is reportedly the best soup in town. It is super tasty, and the chips laden on the soup are incredibly spicy and tasty as well. What is more is that it is super economical. I mean, can you imagine a good starter at only PKR 60. And if you want it with an egg, then it is PKR 90. For those who would want to try it, look at the backside of bait ul Mukarram.

Ever since the news was made public, Pakistan had rejoiced at the announcement. It meant that our image would be made better globally. But with the notification, there was also a thought spurring in the back of the mind that whether India would even come in or not. It must have been a thought on both sides of the border because the Indian ministers are hinting at how their team will possibly pull out of the tournament.

Indian Sports Minister Anurag Thakur said:

“When the time will come, the Indian government and the Home Ministry will take a decision. During the international championships, all the factors are looked upon.”

Apparently, for him, Pakistan was not safe as a location for their team to play.

But is it really the security concerns from Pakistan or from the Pakistani team that has scared them?

Elon Musk’s outspokenness may have just cost him his Tesla and reputation! The richest man on Earth openly challenged the UN thinking they had their facts wrong. However, the tables have now turned and the UN has responded to the challenge, leaving Elon Musk at a disadvantage. What will unfold now?

A few weeks earlier, someone tweeted that a very small percentage of Elon Musk’s wealth could solve world hunger. That amount approximated to $6.8 billion only. This figure seemed rather preposterous to Elon Musk and he openly challenged the UN! He said if the UN can make a plan suggesting how only this amount can solve world hunger, he will sell Tesla and donate the money.

But guess what? Now the UN has responded to his tweet and accepted his challenge with the full plan. The head of the WFP, David Beasley, called out Musk and held him accountable for the challenge. His tweet is an open call-out to Musk whose overconfidence might be hurting him now.

In the statement that has been released to the public, the UN said US$3.5 billion would be used to purchase and deliver food. In addition to that, US$2 billion would go towards cash and food vouchers for others. Moreover, US$700 million would be earmarked for countries to design and implement food programs to sustain themselves. Lastly, US$400 million would ensure proper management of global and regional operations and other logistical challenges.

According to the leader, the world is on fire. The rising inflation rates, epidemics and pandemics and climate change is aggravating the levels of world hunger. Beasley added: “IT IS HERE. 45M lives are at stake—and increasing daily. If you don’t feed people, you feed conflict, destabilization & mass migration.” Will Musk rise to the challenge?

The original cast of Harry Potter is going to be reunited on the 20th anniversary of the films. An HBO Max special has been made titled “Return to Hogwarts” and it’s going to release on new year’s! Could this get any better?

The legendary cast including but definitely not limited to Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will join American filmmaker Chris Columbus for the exploration of the film. Moreover, the special film will invite fans “on a magical first-person journey through one of the most beloved film franchises of all time”. First-person? We’re definitely intrigued.

This programme has been announced exactly 20 years later from when the first film, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, was released. Since then, the fans of this movie chain have reached hundreds of millions and we can understand why. So far, a 52-second trailer has been released. All three players were banned by ICC for receiving bribery and deliberately bowling no-balls at set precise times. Later on, Butt was sentenced to jail for a period of 30 months, Asif for one year and Amir for six months.

The Legendary batsman was sent behind bars when one of his cheques to a property dealer, amounting to PKR 1 crore, bounced. Ahmed was charged for forgery and spent a good 6 weeks in jail before being released on bail.

“Some of my pictures have been circulating around the internet badly (vulgarly) edited… it’s a shame how can people do this. I request those fan pages to take them down NOW before I take a legal action.”

The actress claims to take legal action if the social media pages fail to comply with her request.

The economic hub of Karachi is a melting pot where people from all over Pakistan come to settle in hopes of a better career and consequently, a better life. But as this population grows, so does the need for more infrastructure to support them. This is why you see the high rise, low-rise, bungalows, goth, literally every type of infrastructure on the horizon. These sudden constructions; are all of them authorized though? If not, who in Karachi, is really suffering thanks to the illegal properties?

Case of illegal properties in Karachi

The famous cases include the Pavilion’s End Club and now, Nasla Tower. It was revealed to the public that these dwellings have been made on illegal lands. As for the Pavilions End Club, it demolition meant people being kicked out of jobs, but with Nasla tower, it meant that people will be out on the streets.

As the conversation sparked about these illegal constructions, new revelations were made. According to these revelations, there were numerous other old buildings that have existed for such a long time that one would not even imagine them to be illegal.

Since now people are finally taking action against the illegal buildings, the old ones will be on the radar as well. This is indeed good because, with those establishments, the upkeep of the city was getting hindered. Or at least, it is one of the reasons. Regardless, the point to consider now is, “What about the people living in these buildings?

Who is suffering?

They bought the houses they live in to become proud owners of properties in the expensive Karachi. Some of them poured in all of their savings, while others took loans from banks. The developers took that money once the project was completed and left the arena. They profited a hundred percent from the project that started because of them. And when the court passes the order of demolition, the residents are promised a certain amount which is not remotely near the price they paid to buy the property in the first place. Almost 50 or more than 50 percent of their money is irrecoverable and the compensation they get is not enough to get them decent accommodation at least in this city.

It is clear, who is suffering but the question that emerges is, why is it that when the establishment is fully-constructed with all of its portions sold out that the authorities take notice? Why is it not that when the builders start construction to woo potential customers that the authorities do not see the bricks being laid? Why is it the residents putting up protests to not be kicked out and not the developers hoping to make profits? And why is it that even after the authorities getting active, every other day we hear about even more illegal properties in Karachi appearing?

Sajid Sadpara Suffering In A Recent Video Leaves Pakistanis Worried

Son of the legendary mountaineer, Ali Sadpara, had taken his father’s place for the excursion with the french climbers. Sajid Sadpara was sharing updates with the fans through social media accounts. He had mentioned that the plan was to make a new route on Mount Everest.

The hike was to start in Nepal with a team that included 69-year-old French mountaineer, Marc Batard and his son. They were accompanied by Nepalese climber Pasang Nuru Sherpa. Sajid Sadpara had shared this on November 11.

However, six days later, the internet suddenly saw an influx of videos of the Pakistani climber. The video showed Sajid tied up. In yet another video, a stretcher is being carried towards a helicopter.

The video which showed Sadpara’s hands tied led to some Pakistanis assuming that he may not have been treated well by the people with him. These Pakistanis considered this treatment of our legend’s son inhumane.

Clarification – What really happened

However, it was soon clarified that the reason Sadpara was tied up was to stop him from taking any disastrous action. It seems that Sajid was having hallucinations due to a lack of oxygen. And when someone is having hallucinations, they can react in an unpredictable way. Given that, they were all on Mount Everest, this unpredictability could have been fatal for not just the climbers but also for his companions.

A user on Twitter who had been constantly sharing updates on Sadpara’s condition revealed that Sajid had reached Namche Bazaar. In a follow-up update, he said Sajid reached Khatmandu through helicopter rescue.
