PTCL Connecting Pakistan Through Sports

pakistan cricket team

Pakistanis have a unique bond with cricket – a sport taking over the entire nation by storm whenever there is a tournament, whether national or international. Irrespective of the fact that it is not even our national game, we still witness passion and glory associated with cricket and Pakistan.

It is a heart-warming and inspiring sight when our cricket team enters the pitch in their green shirts and strive to give us a win and make us all proud. Every single citizen, whether it is a 10-year-old child, a mother of four kids or a grandparent, will get excited about Pakistan playing in a match.

People will be glued to their screens, whether on TV or online. Where screens aren’t available, the commentary is being aired on handset radios at home or dhabbas and on almost every car radio tuned in to the live updates, no matter which part of the world it is being played in.

Restaurants in major cities will air the match live, giving us all a chance to display our patriotism together. Once the fever catches on, Pakistanis will go out of bounds in cheering their heroes on.

How the entire nation is brought together by a game is something truly amazing. It is such a strong connection that our national companies and organizations also support cricket teams and tournaments for promoting the sport domestically and internationally, for their brands to connect with their audience.

One such company who has always connected and supported the nation throughout the years is Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the national carrier having ‘Pakistan’ in its very name. When PTCL announced its official partnership with Islamabad United in the 3rd edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2018, it reinforced its strong bond with Pakistan and the sport that unifies the whole nation.

PTCL’s partnership with Islamabad United had a lot of heart as it displayed strong support for the game within the country. With this partnership, the Islamabad United team went on to play on the pitch, proudly wearing the PTCL logo on the back of their shirts and brought over the PSL Trophy to the PTCL Headquarters in Islamabad after winning the tournament. Everyone present on the occasion was able to revel in the victory, giving the organization immense pride.

PTCL also sponsored Pakistan’s National Cricket Team in T20I 2018 for New Zealand, West Indies & Scotland tours. With consistent victories, Pakistan topped the ICC T20 Team Ranking, thus contributing towards PTCL’s continuous efforts and support to bring back international cricket to Pakistan.

Besides cricket, PTCL has also supported hockey. It sponsored the ‘Hockey Hall of Fame World XI Pakistan Tour’, which was called PTCL Hockey Cup 2018. Two exhibition hockey matches were played during this tournament, between Pakistan National Hockey team and visiting All-Star Team World XI with renowned international players in Karachi & Lahore. PTCL’s aim for this tour was to elevate the sport in the country and open doors for international hockey in Pakistan.

As a national organization, PTCL is at the forefront of promoting sports in the country through sponsorship of teams and sports events. Companies like PTCL that represent a vast array of cultures, ethnicity, and geographical backgrounds, should always be collectively striving towards the common objective of engaging in healthy activities and to highlight Pakistan’s burgeoning talent.

PUBG Weapon Mastery

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) next update will be a big one for all PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners!

The gamers will be able to enjoy some of the features that PC users were able to make most of.

According to Comicbook, tactical markers and the new weapon mastery system are among the items on the agenda for the next console update that’s scheduled to drop on June 27th.

Loot rebalances, new controller schemes and the ability to auto-equip attachments to your weapons are other notable features shipping in the same update as well.

1.4 Billion iOS Users’ Security Compromised by Israeli Company’s Claim!

Weapon Mastery

  • New progression feature in PUBG with unique, awesome, and free rewards
  • A new avenue for players to improve their weapon skills

Tactical Marker

  • The map now has six marker options to choose from depending on the situation

Second Erangel Loot Spawn Rebalance

  • Increased spawn rate of AR, DMR, and SR
  • The featured map will be changed to Erangel from Sanhok with the June Update

Vikendi Loot Spawn Rebalance

  • Blue Zone adjustment
  • Increased spawn rate of AR, DMR, and SR (especially SR)

Auto Equip Attachments

  • We understand that handling attachments with the controller can sometimes be difficult and players would sometimes avoid early combat due to having insufficient time to equip attachments
  • To solve this, we created an auto-equip attachment feature to reduce time when equipping needed attachments. Less time in your inventory means more time for battle!

Controller Preset C

  • Like the above auto-equip feature, we are focusing on improving the overall player experience during battles
  • On the controller, leaning is configured to thumbsticks and we understand it can sometimes affect your movement and aim
  • Controller Preset C moves the bindings of leaning from the thumbsticks to the bumper buttons. More details coming soon!

PUBG’s next console update with all these features is scheduled to land on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 27th.

Sania Mirza Snaps at Veena Malik for Unwanted Parenting Advice

SANI MIRZA VEENA MALIK

Recently a video of the athletic, inter-racial power couple Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza with their child has been making rounds on social media.

In the video the celebrity couple can be seen having dinner and sheesha.

World Cup 2019: Pakistani Celebrities Spotted With Bollywood Superstars

There are two main reasons why it is going viral:

  1. They were shot having a jolly good time the night before Pakistan lost the match to India.
  2. They were spotted having sheesha when theirchild was accompanying them.

Naturally, the couple did not appreciate it as it was an invasion of their privacy. When Sania called out Mohammad Umar Khan, the Twitter user who had tweeted the video, Umar deleted his tweet. Hence, the tweet is now unavailable but Saia’s response to it remains.

Among fans and followers heavily criticizing the duo for the above mentioned reasons, Veena Malik’s tweet stood out as Sania chose to respond to it right away too, igniting a spat between herself and Veena.

“It’s none of your business, and I care about my son a lot more than anyone else does,” Sania snapped, clearly indicating the wiser thing for Veena would be to back off.

Sania clearly refused that she was at a sheesha place to begin with. Moreover, in another tweet (that she deleted later on), she took a dig at Veena reminding her of the indecent magazine cover she was once featured on.

Veena being her unapologetic self, stood her stance firmly and defended herself by reiterating that the said magazine cover’s image was morphed to make it seem indecent.

Here’s what fan and followers had to say about the debate.

Many seem to be in support of Sania Mirza and her complain of having her personal life invaded into, being told what to do as a mother, and being held responsible for Team Green’s loss.

On the other hand, however, many fans are condemning Sania for stooping low enough to drag Veena’s controversial past into the argument.

Later Shoaib Malik also took to Twitter to express his views on the fiasco during the World Cup 2019.

Sania Mirza Calls For A Stop Over ‘Cringe Worthy’ Ads To Market Pak Vs India Match

Taking a rewind, we know that many of the World Cup 2019 matches had to be drawn because of the rain, even Pakistan’s match against Sri Lanka had to be thrown.

Many have seen it as a blessing, as Pakistan has not won against India in a World Cup format, and others have been crushed that the most anticipated match of the series may not even take place.

Despite their loss against Australia, Pakistani left-arm paceman Mohammad Amir is confident that Pakistan can definitely win against India.

Amir had performed exceptionally in the team’s last match by taking a whopping number of 5 major wickets.

All games are pressure games in the World Cup, same for India. We’ll have to come with a positive mindset against India. We have to win every game now and we’ll try our best.

Definitely, we can beat India. Today also our batting took the game deep. If we’re a bit more mentally strong, insha’Allah we will win.

India is currently placed at No. 3 in the points table while Pakistan is ranked at No. 8 with just one win. In order to have a chance in the next round, the green team has to win at least 4 of their 5 upcoming games.
