NCOC Rolls Out Booster Shot And Additional Vaccine Interim Guidelines

The schedule and the whole rules and regulations for additional vaccines and booster shots have been released by the government in a report. The report details eligibility criteria, administration of the doses and other technical guidelines! Here’s all you need to know:

What Is The Context?

Many citizens get the vaccines their country was providing while many countries demand that another brand of vaccine’s evidence be shown. In this case, Pakistan has started providing additional doses of vaccines. Moreover, as booster shots’ need increases due to Omicron, the country is in the process of protecting its citizens.

Who Is Eligible?

International travellers of age 12 and above can be eligible for additional doses if the country they are travelling to requires another vaccine in the following conditions: 

  1. If they are travelling for work
  2. If they are a student
  3. They are a resident of the said country
  4. People performing for Hajj/Umrah
  5. Workforce
  6. Tourists

The Vaccine Administration Cardinals

The additional vaccine will be administered at all public sector health facilities only, not at any private. Moreover, booster shots will only be administered at the dedicated CVCs created in all the provinces for them. It will cost Rs.1270 per dose and the amount will be paid to NBP as stipulated by the centre.

Procedure for Booster Dose

First, the money will be deposited. Then you will be required to take the deposit slip to a CVC centre and show them with documents that prove your eligibility. The dose will then be administered to you. The age-appropriate vaccine will be given to the person then and documents will be verified. Additionally, records will be maintained on NIMS.

The certificate can be obtained just like the certificate for previous doses was received!

Booster Dose CVCs

A total of 21 dedicated CVCs will be established in 17 major cities across Pakistan. Other COVID-19 vaccines will be administered in these CVCs also. Here is the information on those CVCs:

Before you get the vaccine, your record will be checked on the NIMS Vaccinator account. The “administer booster shot” will only be available on vaccinated accounts. Thereafter, your booster shot or additional vaccine will be administered to you.

The esteemed government of Pakistan just announced that tax will now be levied on 144 new products in the midst of unbearable inflation and economic losses due to a pandemic. Government just announced that tax will now be levied on such 144 products o which previously there was very low tax or there was no tax at all. Basically, essentials will now become unbearably expensive also. Take, for instance, infant milk which will now be taxed to churn Rs.15 billion. Additionally, bread products sold in bakeries that were previously exempted from taxation will be taxed.

Red chillis sold openly and medicines will become more expensive. There is greater taxation on cars. Yoghurt, cereals, butter, milk, desi ghee, cream are all about to get incredibly expensive. Contraceptives are now to be taxed too!

This year, we all have come across food experiments that have either shocked or surprised us, and sometimes, both. With the food experimentation going out of hand, we have seen combinations like Oreo pakodas, chocolate Maggi, Kacha mango drinks, and whatnot. Adding to the list of bizarre food combinations, before this year ends, we came across samosa gulab jamun. Yes, you read that right! As weird as a samosa gulab jamun sounds, it indeed is a thing that has caught the attention of many and has left the internet in splits.

Although a gulab jamun samosa might seem peculiar, the concept of sweet samosa is not new. Previously, netizens have come across chocolate and Oreo ice-cream samosas.

When it comes to a piping hot samosa, few can say no to that crunchy hard exterior and spicy potato filling inside. However, take that masala away and add sugary gulab jamuns to it and imagine the taste. Well, a food blogger in India recently tried it, and it was a clear thumbs down for him.

The Recipe

In the video shared on Instagram, the vendor is seen taking usual samosa pockets made with flour dough. However, instead of traditional potato stuffing, he puts in a gulab jamun and seals it in before frying it. The video as of now has 2.9 million views and has 105k likes.

Lahore, 29th December, 2021: A vibrant event ‘Pakistan Seller Summit’ was held today in Sialkot by Alibaba, to welcome the local businesses to join this resourceful platform. The Changan Oshan X7 Plus is available abroad in a 5 seater capacity. However, it has been told that Pakistan might get the 7 seater option as well. This would make it the first vehicle to be reaching the dual option, depending on what the user wants. Additionally, the X7 Plus is going to have a 1.5 Turbocharged engine with tremendous capabilities. No matter where you take it, whatever terrain it is, this vehicle will be able to handle it. That is not all that is impressive about it. It has also been claimed that the fuel average of the vehicle is going to be higher.

The fuel average is expected to be quite as high as 14 kilometers to the liter. That is highly impressive for a Suv since this is an average that is seen in sedans. It is a specialization, within Master’s, that has just arrived in Pakistan. According to sources, the University of Health Sciences (Lahore) has taken the decision to initiate this program. There is a lot that is aimed at establishing this field but learning about happiness and integrating it into everyday tasks is something that can be taught here. It is a widely recognized degree that is now available in Pakistan and people can opt for it if they wish to use it as a tool for their life later on.

The Fun-Filled TECNO-Hios Event Concludes Successfully In Lahore

TECNO HIOS FANS Cafe was successfully held in Lahore on Sunday with dozens of young fans, well-known mentors, industry pacesetters, and tech developers. The event was held to announce and celebrate the latest HiOS 8.0 Update in the latest Camon 18 Series.

The event was filled with fun activities. The session started with a training session by the national trainer, Arsalan Zahid, where an Introduction of HiOS Update, Utilization, and Functions were explained in detail. The participants were thoroughly communicated about the usage and importance of these new updates. Zahid said,

“This is a great initiative from TECNO and HiOS. Through the new updates, Ella, the Voice Assistant allows controlling your whole device with a single voice command. Dolphin Squad Spotted Torturing Citizens In Lahore

In today’s news, the Dolphin Squad was spotted torturing citizens in yet another incident of Punjab Police’s high handedness in the provincial capital. The organisation was formed to improve police emergency response and to safeguard the life of the citizens. However, time and again, the Doplhin Squad has assured the public of their incapacitated capabilities and poor infrastructure.

This has happened with the Dolphin Squad, a specialised patrolling wing built by the Punjab government to promote 15 emergency call response mechanisms and promote community policing over the years.

Dolphin Squad Incident 

The incident has been reported in the Sanda area of Lahore, around two days ago. The report mentions the Dolphin Squad team was physically assaulting and misbehaving with two men in the busy market.

The footage, which was captured by a person standing on the upper floor of a building, showed two Dolphin Squad officials thrashing the persons with punches and kicks.

The violent video also shows two armed men without uniforms abusing and kicking the citizens.

As the video went viral, social media users urged concerned officials to take notice of the incident. Meanwhile, the police spokesperson has not commented on the matter as of yet.

Previous Incidents 

In a most recent incident, a citizen who called 15 for police help during a dispute in the Township area was shot at by an official of the Dolphin Squad. In another instance, the Squad team had shot at a shopkeeper in Abdali Chowk, Islampura. The victim had called for help after falling victim to an armed robbery.

Earlier, members of the force had inadvertently shot dead a teenage boy while chasing some suspected robbers on the Band Road and also shot dead a woman who had been returning home from her office in Naseerabad in a separate incident.

A former DIG, Dr. Haider Ashraf, under whose command the squad was launched in Lahore, had said in an interview that the dolphin, was considered to be a symbol of love and affection. It was introduced to promote community policing, he had said. However, it has failed to live up to its purpose and mission.

Google is, for more online denizens, irreplaceable. Internet users log into the Gmail in the morning, they use Google Search throughout the day, and as necessary dabble in Google Books, Maps, News, Photos, and Translate. It’s no surprise then that Google, as a domain, has long been the more popular than any other.

That’s no longer true, however, as of late 2021. Google has been overtaken by an app built for short, funny videos. TikTok is now the top-ranked domain on the internet.

Cloudflare’s Ranking 2021

The report comes from Cloudflare’s end-of-year review, which breaks down all things internet. Cloudflare explains that while Google may have dominated 2020, 2021 has been something completely different. TikTok won its first day on February 17, then claimed several more during March and May. By August, TikTok was winning more days against Google than it was losing to it, a trend that’s persisted through November and particularly strongly in December.

Yes, the social media platform where people post funny videos, dance videos, and informative videos managed to beat out Google to become the most visited website of 2021 to steal the number one spot. A similar report from Cloudflare made for the end of 2020 shows how dramatic TikTok’s climb has been. In late 2020, TikTok was tracked as the seventh most popular domain. It placed below Amazon and above YouTube. At the time, Facebook was firmly in place below Google as the second most popular domain, though it rarely overtook Google. While TikTok did surge for a time prior to November 2020, it wasn’t until February that it truly surged, followed by drops in May and July each followed by additional surges.
