Gaming is one of the most prevalent hobbies of the 21st Century. Even though millennials and Generation Z were disciplined for playing too many games in their teens and pre-teens, the gaming industry has evolved to become a multi-billion dollar industry. It even started an entirely different sports industry called the e-sports industry.

There are numerous reviews about the best games on the internet. However, not much content is available for the worst games ever considered as money being burned by those who were unfortunate enough to purchase them.

1. 50 Cent: Bulletproof (Multiple formats, 2005):

Bulletproof was an action game released at the height of fame of the popular rapper; 50 Cent. The game had a terrible story-line and had early-90s SEGA vibes in its graphics. The story-line was 50 Cent murdering his way through missions, and nobody remembers that this game existed despite having 50 Cent endorsement.

2. Aliens Colonial Marines (2013):

This is probably the only game that got a lawsuit by disgruntled players who disliked this game to that extent. The game was a mess with so many glitches that it turned out to be a mess and is considered one of the worst games ever.

3. Bad Street Brawler (1989):

Released with Nintendo’s handheld controller, the game only had three actions that the player; punch, kick and return game to shop. The game’s story was a punk rock man beating up circus little people and bulldogs. The game was one of the worst; maybe it has more to do with the fact it was released in 1989.

4. Bubsy (3D):

Mario Cart’s bad impersonation was a disastrous game with not one thing good about it. The game was terrible in all aspects, whether its graphics, storyline, or missions. Everything was a disaster, and you wouldn’t want to be the one who would pay for this game.

5. Custer’s Revenge:

The game was terrible and had a problematic storyline where the player had to attempt to rape a woman. Do we need to say more?

6. Ethnic Cleansing:

This was another problematic game with an extremely socially unacceptable storyline where you could choose fascism and kill your African, Mexican, and Jewish enemies. It was a bizarre concept and was widely popular among the Neo-Nazis.

7. Hatred (2015):

Hatred was a poor attempt at making a dark, violent game and trying to give it a Mortal Kombat like vibe, which was a poor attempt. The game was extremely boring to play with poor features and limited action for the players.

In the recent past, people dared to try some bizarre twists to their favourite dish – such as chocolate gol gappas, Maggi panipuri and so on. The Recipe Of Chowmein Gol Gappas 

The video posted on Instagram is now going viral on social media. In the short video, the man who was the so-called chef was adding some spices and sweet chutney to a plate of gol gappa already stuffed with potatoes. Next, he topped the gol gappa with chowmein and poured some sweet chutney over it again. He then added yoghurt, tutti-fruity, coriander and grated coconut. Before serving, he added a red and green chutney to the plate.

The clip shared was captioned, “Hello Friends Ulti Karlo. Tag your gol gappas friend.” Many social media users said that they were left “disgusted” by the recipe.

Samsung is just about to launch its new flagship Samsung Galaxy S22-series phones. This year the South Korean tech company will feature three phones of the same model. These are said to include the vanilla Samsung Galaxy S22, Samsung Galaxy S22+, and the highest-end Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. While this news may not surprise you that much, know that the leak features even more details.

The leaking publication has also managed to acquire official Samsung Galaxy S22+ smartphone renders, other specifications and many more details.

The front of the smartphone features a single punch-hole cutout in the center for the selfie camera. Additionally, the display is framed by uniformly narrow bezels. The S22 smartphone’s right spine features the volume up/down buttons and the power button. What’s more is that the side edge also features antenna linings that make it look like the phone has a metal chassis.

The reports, so far, hint at a triple camera set up at the back. Could that be taken as Apple inspiration? We’ll have to find out. Until then know that the right side of this vertical rear-mounted camera setup will feature an LED flash as well that’s going to be higher powered. Lastly, the bottom of the phone’s rear panel has a Samsung logo, evidence of why you will spend so much money on it.

Apple iPhone 14 Lineup: Here’s Everything You Need To Know

After a successful launch of its iPhone 13 series last year, Apple is expected to unveil its new ‘iPhone 14 Pro’ models this year. A new report suggested that Apple iPhone 14 Pro would come with a big camera upgrade. Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 14 series in or around September. Current Pro iPhones ship with a 12MP camera onboard. However, iPhone 14 Pro models will feature a 48MP camera.

A 48MP camera is expected to be introduced to the iPhone 14 Pro series (tentative name) that Apple will release this year.

Key Features Of iPhone 14

Recently, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also claimed that the 2022 iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max would be shifting over to a hole-punch cutout for the camera.

According to the details, the new phones will also ditch the infamous camera bump. Instead, it will feature a thicker flush glass back that lays over the rounded edges. The OLED display panels will be supplied by LG and come with support for a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate.

For data transfers and charging, we could also expect to see the company switching to a USB Type-C connector. This partly has to do with the European Union’s new rule. It mandates that all mobile producers adopt a single universal charging solution, which further results in reduced e-wastage. However, Jon Prosser notes that Apple still might hold onto its lightning ports.

iPhone 14 specifications and hardware

With iPhone 14, a new, more powerful A16 Bionic processor is expected, adopting a 4nm chip process. The display will be the same 120Hz ProMotion across all devices, though analyst Ross Young notes that the base variant will feature a standard 60Hz LTPS (low-temperature polycrystalline silicon) display.

The base and pro variants will sport a 6.06-inch display featuring a 2532 x 1170 resolution, while the Max and Pro Max options measure 6.68 inches and support a 2778 x 1284 resolution. It is also worth noting that only the Pro Max variant has an LTPO display, which, as mentioned above, is being supplied by LG. Whether this translates to a punch-hole camera setup exclusive to the Pro Max, only time will tell.

Wearing too much nail polish, especially dark colours, can make your nails look yellow. This is mainly due to the colour seeping into your nail texture. It can be prevented by simply applying the base coat beforehand or using good quality products.

Fungal Infection

If you can’t seem to avoid the problem, it’s best to consult a dermatologist since you could be having a fungal infection.

This Spanish sci-fi horror depicts the story of a multi-storied correctional facility where two inmates are kept on every floor. Food is sent through an elevator-like platform for a few minutes, and inmates can eat whatever they want.

Pakistan’s Oladoc Raises $1.8 Million To Scale Its Healthcare Platform

The round was closed in 2021, however, the official confirmation has been made today.

Aima Baig In Hot Waters For Not Paying Her Taxes

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has served a notice on famous singer Aima Baig for non-payment of Rs. 85 million tax.

Tax Notice To Aima Baig

According to the FBR, Aima Baig has not paid income tax for 2018, 2019, and 2020. In case of non-payment of income tax, the vehicle she has shown in her tax returns will be confiscated.

The singer also hid her bank transactions from the FBR. It has sought details of assets and bank transactions from Aima Baig for the past two years.

According to sources, FBR has given her a 15-day deadline to file a reply. If she fails to submit her reply within the stipulated time, legal action will be taken against her.

In the recent past, singers and artists concealing their assets have been on the FBR’s radar. According to sources, the latest such artist is singer Aima Baig, who is being audited for the years 2019, 2020.

To solve this, several startups have jumped into the space, and designed apps that are very simple and easy to understand, and can help transform the way transactions are recorded in these small businesses. They help reduce the errors in bookkeeping, save time in reconciliation, and help users make better decisions. The following are some of the leading bookkeeping apps in Asia:

  1. Khatabook (India):

Khatabook, the simple bookkeeping app in India has raised a total funding amount of $186.5M and operates in over 4000 cities across India. It operates on the vision of digitizing the small shops in the country by providing a simple cash management app that sends free payment reminders through SMS or WhatsApp when payment is due. Moreover, it has an additional feature of collecting payments directly through the app through QR-enabled payments with a 0% fee. Currently, Khatabook does not have a revenue source, but they have a userbase of more than 50M merchants managing shops and businesses through this app, in 95% of Indian districts.

Khatabook aims to help all types of businesses keep track of their financial transactions and credit histories and enable them to accept payments online in all parts of the country, and hence offers the app in 13 Indian languages, catering to a diverse audience in the country, along with providing 24/7 multi-lingual customer support service. Lastly, the app provides complete safety and security of data, along with automatic data backup so that if the user loses their phone, the data remains safe through the automated backups. Khatabook enables MSMEs to digitize their accounting and credit transaction records and helps them grow their businesses.

  1. OkCredit (India):

OkCredit, founded in 2017, is another bookkeeping app in India that has raised funding of $84.9 million. The product is similar to Khatabook, where they offer collection reminders, data backup, multi-language support, and the ability to generate reports and account statements for your business on your device anytime. What differentiates the two apps is that in Khatabook, there is the additional feature of making multiple digital

books, called ‘Khatabooks’ to manage multiple businesses and accept online payments directly to bank accounts. On the other hand, the unique selling proposition for OkCredit is the simplicity of their app, which enables efficiency and convenience to retailers who have been used to maintaining traditional ledgers for years and are hesitant to make the shift. The OkCredit app also allows the customers to view the amount they owe to a specific merchant through a webpage link that shows the history of credit transactions between the customer and the merchant. This increases trust and makes the entire process more transparent. OkCredit currently has over 10 million downloads, 5.5 million active daily users, and operates in over 2,800 cities. They are rapidly growing into all parts of the country, and with India going through mass digitization, they have a high potential to grow further.

  1. Bukuwarung (Indonesia):

Bukuwarung is a bookkeeping app that is focused on Indonesia and has raised $80M in funding. It was founded in 2019 by two Indian entrepreneurs and has been rapidly growing to provide services across accounting, commerce, and payments. These include bookkeeping, digital payments, inventory management, bulk transactions, and an e-commerce platform to help retailers digitize their operations. Through these services, Bukuwarung aims to accelerate the growth of small businesses and allow them to have an organized method of cash management that could minimize accounting errors, and also allow them to have greater financial inclusion by having access to bank credits, which was previously not possible due to their disorganized financial records.

Unlike Khatabook and OkCredit, Bukuwarung has a revenue source, and they start charging merchants once they cross a certain number of payments, and also make money through the financial services that they provide. As a result, due to a large number of their users and payments volumes, they have been able to make enough revenues to sustain the business, and over 90% of the funding they raised is yet to be used. They aim to use this in growing their platform to offer an even greater amount of services in the future. 

  1. Bukukas (Indonesia):

Bukukas, with a funding amount of $69 million, is another bookkeeping app based in Indonesia, that is growing rapidly. They have included other services, like online payments and an e-commerce platform to the app, to provide more value to its users. Bukukas currently has over 6.3 million businesses on the platform, with around 3 million monthly active users. They provide the option of sending WhatsApp reminders, with a payment link that allows customers to pay immediately, improving the recovery time of the credited amount. Bukukas also offers inventory management, invoicing, and data-based decisions by allowing merchants to record sales, expenses, and cash transactions in the app, and then identifying top-selling items, expense categories, and alerting them when something needs to be sourced. Moreover, through this data, it provides automatic calculation of profits and debit-credit records to help businesses maintain proper accounting records and grow. This helps merchants in not only bookkeeping but also other aspects of the business.

  1. mKhata (Pakistan):

mKhata, a bookkeeping app in Pakistan with an undisclosed amount of funding has over 100,000 installs, and more than 30,000 active users managing their businesses through the app. With Pakistan having a retail market of around $152 billion, there is a huge potential for bookkeeping apps to step in and change the way these merchants are recording their transactions, especially post-covid where people are more open to a technology shift. MKhata aims to digitize the bookkeeping process for all businesses, and hence the app is offered in both English & Urdu and is made very simple to understand. The app offers automated collection reminders, free SMS transaction alerts, detailed reports, and online backups, helping users in reducing errors, making data-based decisions, and using time more efficiently. Moreover, when a transaction is entered by a merchant in the app, it also automatically reflects on the customer’s app, along with a free SMS, enabling complete transparency and trust. Currently, over 70% of Pakistan’s economy is undocumented, and mKhata is working towards decreasing this gap and enabling better financial inclusion.

  1. Lista (Philippines):

Lista is a bookkeeping app in the Philippines that has raised an undisclosed amount of funding. It caters to MSMEs in the country and provides tools to help these businesses manage their credit transactions, and thus enabling financial inclusion. The services provided by Lista include tracking debts, recording transactions, and generating and issuing invoices. Since around 99.51% of business establishments in the Philippines come from MSMEs, there is a huge market for the digitization of the traditional bookkeeping approach. With this app, Lista provides merchants with a free and secure way of going digital and keeping a record of their transactions. The app aims to use the funding from their pre-seed round to grow bigger and help digitize more businesses in the Philippines.

  1. Vyapar (India):

Vyapar, an app-based in India that has raised $5M in funding also offers bookkeeping, and other services around billing, inventory, and accounting to merchants in India. Through the app, you can send reminders through SMS, WhatsApp, or emails for faster recoveries of lent amount, and also make GST bills and share them with customers. In addition, Vyapar also offers inventory management to help merchants grow their businesses. The app was launched in 2016 and have been working on their vision of digitizing the MSMEs in India. Vyapar is completely free to use, and its unique selling proposition is its user accessibility and affordability.

Dove announced their reforestation drive this World Environment Day. They have announced to reforest around 20,000 hectares of land. This is in hopes that over 300,000 tons of CO2 will be captured. Moreover, it will prevent the release of 200,000 tons of CO2.

3. National foods reforestation

National Foods also announced its reforestation drive to ensure replacing the trees it uses in its product manufacturing. The brand also started a marketing campaign that would mobilize the masses in taking part in planting trees.

4. Sapphire seed bag

Sapphire has launched bags made of seed paper. The process includes tearing the bag into small pieces. Then you will have to plant the pieces at least two inches deep. Et voila, you will have plants sprouting, if you keep watering it regularly.

To manufacture its products, Apple recently applied for a patent that claims it used Used Beverage Cans (UBCs) for aluminum parts in the iPhones.

6. Adidas sustainable raw material

Using plastic in your products especially if you are a company that has a massive consumer base means a huge addition to non-biodegradable waste. Adidas has announced that they will be using more than 60% of recyclable raw material; recycled polyester.

7. Coca Cola – 50% Recyclable material; ocean cleanup

Coca-Cola is participating in a major ocean cleanup drive. Other than that, they have also announced that they want to ensure that their packaging is completely recyclable. Moreover, 50% of their packaging will be made of recycled material.

HEC Announces US Scholarships For PhD Students 2022-2023

These scholarships aim to create a pool of highly qualified individuals who demonstrate a promise of achieving true distinction in research as well as sustaining teaching excellence at all levels.

Applications are now open for applicants in the competition of HEC scholarships available in the USA for 2022. In addition, the HEC has announced the universities for the applicable scholarships in fall 2022, and spring 2023. Students who wish to pursue scholarships have to apply on the HEC website.

US-PAK Knowledge Corridor 

The knowledge corridor between the US and Pakistan is designed to offer opportunities to 1000 scholars to establish Pakistani scholars in America. Knowledge Corridor is envisioned as a paradigm shift in the advancement of human capital/education which ultimately supports long-term economic growth as well as independence.

In June 2015, the United States and Pakistan established an Education, Science and Technology Working Group (ESTWG) under the Bilateral Strategic Dialogue discussed the proposal during the meeting of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and President of the USA to establish US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor. However, both the dignitaries directed their respective governments to intensify their cooperation in this important framework to achieve the ambitious priority targets of developing high-level human capital envisioned in Pakistan’s policy document Vision 2025.

According to the Plan, ten thousand (10,000) Pakistani scholars will join US universities in the next ten years. As an effort of the Government of Pakistan to train its faculty resources in identified subject areas.

Phase – 1 of the plan approved by ECNEC on Jan 25, 2017, and revised later in August 2020 envisions the award of 1000 PhD scholarships to outstanding Pakistani students in US Universities under the project titled “PhD Scholarships under the US – Pak Knowledge Corridor-Phase -1”

Scholarship Categories 

  • Category I – Scholarship (Top 50 QS Ranked US Universities)

For this category of scholarship, prospective applicants must have.

Secured admission in the top 50 QS World Ranked US Universities. Valid GRE – General Score (Minimum 300 in total) OR HAT (Minimum 60%)

  • Category II -Scholarship (Top 300 QS Ranked US Universities)

For this category of scholarship, a prospective applicant must have.

Secured admission to a US University that falls in the list of top 300 QS World Rankings. Valid GRE – General Score (Minimum 300 in total) OR HAT (Minimum 60%)

  • Category – III Scholarship (Without Tuition/Designated US Universities)

For this category of scholarship, a prospective applicant must have.

Secured admission along with a complete tuition waiver for the entire scholarship period in a designated US University.

This is the fun part of Twitter when you call someone out on Twitter. The person being questioned also has the option to reply. Hence, you can expect what happened. Men decided to give this Pakistani girl what they thought was a proper response.

Throwing in words, one person said that the girl was confusing pragmatism with procrastination. He said that men do not flee from challenges. In fact, they use such statements only when they do not have full information yet they will take the case on. So this is their indicator that they are ready to test the waters.

Another man accepted this allegation though. He, in fact, shared that a screenshot of a conversation with a friend where he actually said ‘dekhte hain‘.

One other Pakistani man took the opportunity to jokingly call women out by saying that it is the women who need to stop annoying the man because these phrases mean that they have taken the matter under consideration.

Two more interpretations come forward. One is that they need time before responding properly. And the other is that even the men don’t know what they will be doing.
