Sanjay Dutt Singed Kalank Due To a Connection With Pakistan

kalank

Karan Johar’s upcoming venture Kalank has already created quite a buzz among the audience and has become the most anticipated film of the year.

This pre-Partition film was originally conceptualized by Karan Johar’s father, the late Yash Johar.

Moreover, the movie is also making headlines because of its stellar cast which includes Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Madhuri Dixit, and Sanjay Dutt.

We all know how Alia Bhatt took inspiration from Sanam Saeed’s role in Zindagi Gulzar Hai to play her character in Kalank. The late producer, Yash Johar had also visited Pakistan in his life to take set design inspiration from our cities.

Kalank: Bollywood Producer Visited Pakistan for the Movie

Recently, the veteran actor Sanjay Dutt, who plays the patriarch Balraj Chaudhry, revealed the reason for signing the movie and who knew that too will have a connection with Pakistan.

While talking to an Indian website, the actor revealed that he had to do the movie because his character name is Balraj which is his father’s real name who also came from Pakistan during Partition.

He revealed that because of his father’s connection with Pakistan, he loved his character and chose to play the role:

He said:

During the shoot of Gumrah [1993], Yash uncle had briefly mentioned about the story.

Dharma Productions is like family; so when Karan approached me with the film, I had to do it. It is also a coincidence that my character is named Balraj, which is my father’s [Sunil Dutt] real name.

He too came from Pakistan during Partition, so it has an emotional connect.

Instagram’s ‘Nasty List’ is Helping Hackers Steal Passwords!

nasty list

Social media always has something trending, it hardly takes a few minutes for a simple or even a controversial post to go viral. Instagram ‘Nasty List’ is one of these trends, however, this trend is a security breach.

The trend first caught attention when a thread had started on Reddit when a user asked if others were having problems with the Instagram Nasty List.

“I logged onto Instagram yesterday and I had a dm from my sister. It said I was in some kind of Nasty List” the Reddit user by the name of molecularwolf explained, continuing “Well I had just woken up and I was kind of out of it so I clicked on it because I was curious. I then realized that it was probably a virus, but too late, I had already clicked.”

Instagram Bug Showed Your Personal Stories to Strangers

What is the ‘Nasty List’?

The scam uses compromised accounts to send out messages targeting more users. The message puts them in shock compelling them to click on the link. Reportedly, some of the messages are like; “OMG your (sic) actually on here at number 38” or “WOW. Your (sic) on here!!! ranked 100.”

nasty list

The messages then direct you to a link with the title Nasty List. When the user clicks on it they land on a convincing looking, but fake, Instagram login page. After the user logs in again, their accounts are hacked.

How to Recover Accounts?

If you have already become a victim of the scam or know someone who has then the account recovery depends on if the hacker has changed the email address or phone number associated with it or not.

When an account is locked, users can gain access to it by recovering their passwords via email or phone number. if both or either is unchanged the account can be recovered and password can be changed.

If the hackers have already changed your details then you will need to follow the Instagram process for regaining control of a hacked account.

Collection Details are as follows:

Rici Melion – Voices:

Rici Melion’s Spring Summer 19 collection, ’Voices’ was mental disorders musing in avant-garde men tailoring; with the aspiration of opening up the conversation about mental health, that is predominantly yet a taboo in our society. The collection acknowledged, celebrated and accepted our disorders and differences in a glamorous manner.

Each ensemble vividly highlighted common mental disorders through carefully designed and thought-provoking remarks. The outfits essentially had been designed to be very conspicuous and distinct in their persona matched up with complementing accessories defining the particular mental illness. The collection showcased an amalgamation of precision fits, premium fabrics, luxe details, exaggerated asymmetrical cut lines, classic loose fit pleated silhouettes, and bare-chested coats, among other things. Adding trendsetting personality to the collection were the elaborate suit trimmings, adjoined to elevate the persona of each attire. Ahmed Ali Butt was the showstopper.

Sameer Karasu – High Street Savages:

Starting this summer with his debut collection titled “high street savages’ Sameer Karasu took inspiration from the various elements of fantasy, fiction, glamour, mythology, tragedy, and drama. His keen interest in console games, art films, theater, and history allowed him to merge these elements into wearable pieces of art. Every garment represented the modern woman in his fantastical world of magic. Witches, warriors, angels, and demons were portrayed through his pieces. His immaculate collection used intricate sewing techniques of haute couture, sharp silhouettes with the perfect blend of drapery and softness. Every garment was mathematically cut and stitched to perfection by dedicated seamstresses. He presented a fresh take on fashion where one could immerse themselves in high fashion. Black abstracts paired with pink patterns, sheer organza sleeves, snake embroidered blazers, peplum tops, elaborately chic sleeves and edgy fashion accessories elevated his pieces making the collection display very unique.

Zasimo – Spring/Summer

Zasimo is Pakistan’s new and unique online destination for the latest western branded high street fashion, sportswear and international brands, providing customers next day order fulfilment. During the show, Zasimo displayed few items from its Spring Summer 2019 ladies’ collections of Dorothy Perkins, QUIZ, Vero Moda, New Look which are just some of the exciting western brands that Zasimo will be offering to its customers online. Along with women’s wear, they have a full range of men’s fashion brands including QUIZ Man, Jack & Jones and Burton. Fully stocked with its range growing all the time and with new styles dropping each week, the collection display was a clear reflection of what to expect. Zara Noor Abbas and Asad Siddqui were the showstoppers for Zasimo.

Hanah – Love Life Lego:

Hanah’s collection had a young vision, enticing designs, bold colors and each outfit celebrated laughter with sleek style. The pieces were all young at heart. ‘Love Life Lego’ was their first collection that presented an idea of building something new from scratch and bringing forth the perfect blend with manifold presentation. Bold outfits, playful designs, quirky and fun accessories, soft color palettes, sequined blazers, sheer flowy dresses all made fashion statements on the runway. The collection roared summer and spring with pops of neon paired with plains, classic silhouettes and colorful attires. It was surely a treat for the eyes.

Chapter 2 – Blending Time And Art Into Threads Of Time:

Inspired by the artisan and his craft, the 2019 Spring/Summer collection was spun around time, color and balance. A labor of love, the handwoven fabric is an art that requires time and patience.

Time also colors the fabric of the collection: shades of dawn blended with those of dusk; shades of blue ranged from light sky blue to deep midnight; the bold colours of the sun were balanced by the white of the clouds. Daring contrasts vie with delicate fluidity. Color blocking, classic whites with pops of colors, pastel hues with contrasting golds were worn by the models as they strutted down the runway. The ensembles, all in handloom, came just in time for the blazing summer nights.

Sana Safinaz – Boheme Luxe:

Sana Safinaz presented Boheme Luxe, a bridal pret collection. This capsule was inspired by color palettes from Afghan carpets and rugs with references to Mughal art and architecture. Boheme Luxe reinterpreted traditional bridals and fused them with modern boho-chic for relaxed glamour and easy elegance. The cuts and silhouettes merged seamlessly with the variety of fabric, embellishments and thread work used, created the signature luxe of the Sana Safinaz bridal.

Aquafina Rising Talent

As a commitment to develop a future generation of designers, PFDC partnered with World Class Aquafina for the “The Rising Talent” segment which focuses on injecting new talent into the industry. The three young designers who debuted their collections got a rousing reception from the very fashion-savvy audience.

1. Hafsa Mahmood – Nuqta
Adhering to the fervency of an inquisitive perfectionist child with a sufi soul and a keen eye for the implicit and the unseen, coupled with a passionate drive to independently ferret out the sole starting point of everything and possibly the ‘Nuqta’ that Baba Bulleh Shah referred to, the collection was an ode to the inspiring journey through finding and celebrating the Divine pivot’s existence, and incorporated ‘circle-based’ geometry and science. Fashion forward cuts and geometric patterns left the audience awe-struck.

2. Mahnoor Azam – Escape
Escape – a reality, defined as “the tendency to escape from the quotidian. An indication to retreat from unpleasant realities through diversion or fantasy. The concept explained the journey to escape the inescapable. For how a thing, a habit, has the potential to shut the mind out of reality. Yet different for everyone. The collection was inspired by the behavior of water and how the experience of floating above its surface loosens the raveled mind.

3. Zeeshan Mohyuddin – Recursion
The collection ‘Recursion’ took its inspiration from the rule of geometry which revolved around the concept of basic single module; whenever rotated on a single pivot point with size variation created an illusion within the single module. Inspirational elements had been taken from the basic geometric shapes which were amalgamated with the light shadow concept from where the monochromatic color palette was extracted.

Saira * Shakira

Saira*Shakira for PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2019 introduced ‘The Secret Garden’ which was an amalgamation of a variety of crafts and ornamentation techniques using sequins and oodles of Brazilian embroidery. These westernized outfits were designed using antiquated aesthetics that evoked an aura of the wild and the free. All pieces from this collection were a creation straight out of the wildlife garden, unparalleled in terms of glamour, flora, and uniqueness.

The House of Kamiar Rokni

The House of Kamiar Rokni introduced a diffusion collection. Best described as Neo-folk, the collection was a celebration of ethnicity within a traditional yet global narrative. The collection incorporated multiple traditional textiles and treatments using the ancient art of block printing, the hippie chic sensibility of tie & dye and the richly decorative fabric of brocade, he presented a collection that was unapologetically eastern, within a modern sensibility. From casual to luxury evening and formal wear, the collection had a range of soiree, dholki and mehndi wear and western outfits. Based in cottons, silks and organzas, the House of Kamiar Rokni’s diffusion line will be instantly available to order and buy online and at the studio.

PFDC is proud to continue their partnership with the global giant Unilever’s hair care brand, Sunsilk as their title sponsor and Aquafina as the Blue Carpet and beverage partner. The Media Partner is HUM TV, the Footwear Partner is Borjan, the Fragrance Partner is J. Fragrances, Transportation Partner is Careem, and the Radio Partner is FM 89. The Associate Sponsors are Lipton, Engine, and Almirah.

The teams that brought PSFW’19 together are Sadia Siddiqui of Mustang Productions as the show director, Talking Point as the PR management agency, Nabila as the hair and makeup stylist, Kamiar Rokni as the spokesperson for PFDC, Production 021 for backstage management, technical direction and event consultants, Red Communications for digital support, Rehan Babar as the red carpet host, Restart Branding Solutions for branding and logistics, Empact Activation Services for event architecture and safety, AI Solutions for crowd management and live stream, and Faisal Farooqui of Dragonfly as the photographer.

Kalank: Bollywood Producer Visited Pakistan for the Movie

Kalank Leaked Online

Upcoming Bollywood period movie ‘Kalank’ has already created waves in India even before its release.

Because of its ensemble cast including Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Aditya Roy Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonakshi Sinha, the movie is expected to break all the records at the box-office.

Apart from India, the flick is also making rounds in Pakistan for many reasons.

Sanam Saeed Responds to Alia Bhatt’s Inspiration From Zindagi Gulzar Hai

Earlier this week, Alia Bhatt revealed that her inspiration for the character she plays in Kalank came from Sanam Saeed and Pakistanis couldn’t stop talking about it.

However, the movie has made it to headlines in Pakistan yet again as it has been revealed that the late Yash Johar, father of the film’s producer Karan Johar, visited Pakistan and its cities to get the inspiration for Kalank’s set design.

kalank

It was the late Producer Yash Johar who came up with the concept of Kalank and his son Karan Johar decided to revive it after fifteen years.

The Indian media reported:

The late producer had gone to Pakistan to see the localities and then intricately recreate them for the film. The film stayed in the backburner, gathering dust for a long time till Karan decided to revive it in 2018.

It is surprising that Johar’s visit to Pakistan was kept hushed all these years.

Suzuki Alto 2019

The hottest news in the automotive industry is that Pak Suzuki is currently planning to launch the 2019 Suzuki Alto as a replacement of the 800cc Mehran, which the brand is now discontinuing.

Pakistan’s largest automotive manufacturer, Suzuki had previously announced the end of its Mehran variant. The VX and VXR will no longer be available to consumers. The last batch of Suzuki Mehran will be delivered by March 2019.

According to sources, the 8th gen Alto will be the entry-level hatchback which is likely to launch the vehicle in December 2018 or Q1 of next Year.

As per sources, the Suzuki Alto will be equipped with an R06A engine which is a 660cc 3-cylinder unit and is offered with the likes of Suzuki MR Wagon and Hustler.

However, an 800cc or 1000cc engine might be deployed as well. There’s no confirmation yet. The vehicle will be offered with manual as well as automatic transmission distributed across 3 trim levels.

Price

The expected price-tag of the 2019 Alto is PKR 10 lacs. However, it can change as the rupee has fallen against the dollar and has become quite unstable causing automotive manufacturers to change their price.

Sometime back, pictures of then Minister for Planning & Development Mr Ahsan Iqbal inspecting an 8th gen Alto surfaced on social media. As per sources, the company has already manufactured 50 units.

Instagram Bug Showed Your Personal Stories to Strangers

instagram bug

Earlier this week, a Twitter user identified a glitch on Instagram where he could see a number of stories of private account holders that he did not follow on the app.

In his tweet, he alerted both, Instagram and the parent company, Facebook, while also bringing Techcrunch into the loop.

His post created a major panic as it was a significant breach of privacy.

Instagram Secrets You Wish You Knew Sooner!

Instagram was quick to take notice of the issue and revealed a statement, revealing the consequence of a bug.

The statement issued by Instagram is as follows:

“We’re aware of an issue that caused a small number of people’s Instagram Stories trays to show accounts they don’t follow. If your account is private, your Stories were not seen by people who don’t follow you. This was caused by a bug that we have resolved.”

This statement might underplay the intensity of the situation. However, with approximately 500 million people using Instagram Stories, even a small error could have created a massive impact.

It’s indeed a wakeup call for all those who considered Instagram to be a safe space compared to Facebook.

It’s also a wakeup call for Facebook to realize that they have started affecting Instagram as well in terms of privacy issues.

Mehwish Hayat Blasts Amitabh Bachchan for His Anti-Pakistan Sentiments

This week, the news of Bollywood veteran Amitabh Bachchan denying the role of a Pakistani protagonist in an upcoming movie took social media by storm.

Apparently, the Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty’s was making his directorial debut that promoted Indo-Pak peace.

Sources reveal that the cross-border tension between India and Pakistan compelled senior Bachchan to turn down the role.

Apparently, the B-town bigwig was very excited to be a part of the project but didn’t want to be labeled as ‘anti-national’. Consequently, he announced his disassociation from the film.

While various Pakistani stars remained mum on this news, Mehwish Hayat has given her two cents on the matter.

Taking to Twitter, the Load Wedding starlet expressed her disapproval on Amitabh Bachchan’s anti-Pakistan sentiments.

If true, this is very disappointing. Movies have the power to build bridges especially when tensions are high. I guess that in the end nationalism trumps everything

Blasting Bollywood, she added:

I hope that we can also take heed before we gush about all things Bollywood in the future.

It is no secret that Indian stars that have pro-Pakistani views often face wrath in their homeland. Seems like, Amitabh Bachchan wanted to stay away from getting into a mess rather than promote peace as artists should.

De De Pyar De: Atif Aslam’s Track Deleted from Ajay Devgan’s Movie

Atif Aslam

We all know how Bollywood movies pulled down soundtracks by Pakistani singers post-Pulwama attack in February.

T-series was quick to remove songs by Atif Aslam and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan from its YouTube channel.

However, on strong demand, the brand uploaded the deleted tracks again after a month.

T-Series Brings Back Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s Songs

Now the buzz is that Ajay Devgan’s upcoming Bollywood flick ‘De De Pyar De’ included a romantic song by Atif Aslam.

https://youtu.be/EJUD2PptXrk

Back in January, the music composer of the movie, Amaal Mallik revealed that he has collaborated with the Pakistani singer and was super excited over the release of the track.

Reportedly, the name of the tune is Tu Mila and has already been recorded in Atif’s voice

However, the moviemakers have now decided to delete Atif’s voice from the film’s soundtrack in the light of Indo-Pak tensions.

Amaal Malik confirmed it himself on Twitter and revealed that Aslam is no longer part of the music album.

However, no Indian singer has yet been locked for replacing Atif.

Fans of Atif are urging the music producer to at least release the track later in Atif Aslam’s voice if it will not be a part of the movie.

Earlier, Salman Khan also shelved a track crooned by Atif Aslam from his movie ‘Notebook’.
