Inspired by the buttery trend which started its round on TikTok, all you can see now are boards spread with hummus, buttercream, and more. But how do you make one and is the trend worth digging in?

Butter Boards – The New IT Thing?

For the butter board, the butter serves as a centerpiece ingredient, rather than a neutral accessory. The butter can be softened and spread end-to-end on a board, usually wooden. While the toppings can vary depending on the makers’ mood, some of the most common ingredients we have seen include butter with honey, cinnamon, and walnuts. While jam and roasted garlic and crackers are also some of the most favourite ingredients.

And of course the bread. When there is butter – there is bread so there is no restriction to what kind and size of bread you would like on the board because everything can go with it.

It’s important to make sure you have plenty of toppings on that artfully smeared butter. No one like to have a mouthful of butter right so bringing the right balance and texture while making a butter board stand out is key.

Dessert Boards – A Big Yes?

Of course, brands had to bring in their big guns too. Serving food on boards is nothing new. Cheese and charcuterie boards have been popular for years and are hardly controversial. Not long ago, charcuterie boards — boards featuring different kinds of meats and cheeses with accompaniments like olives or fruit took TikTok by storm, but their popularity eventually waned. Likewise, while the butter boards seem like a good option it is arbitrary to see if they could stand the test of time and changing trends.

Edhi Foundation in partnership with Jazz provides flood assistance to flood affected families

Edhi Foundation in partnership with Jazz provided assistance to thousands of families, distributing food and medical supplies, and hygiene and disaster relief kits in flood affected areas. This collaboration is a part of Jazz’s PKR 1 billion flood relief pledge.

The areas covered under this initiative include 23 districts of Sindh including Nawabshah, Dadu, Sukkur, Jamshoro, and Larkana as well as 10 districts of Balochistan including Quetta, Lasbela, and Nasirabad. Flood-struck parts of South Punjab including Taunsa, Jampur, and DG Khan were also covered. Jazz also mobilized its volunteers to assist Edhi’s on-ground teams in distributing relief items.

“We have witnessed the unfolding of an unprecedented calamity. To mitigate the effects of this climate-induced catastrophe, I implore all private companies to come forward. Jazz has historically always risen to the occasion when the country and its people needed it the most. The nationwide flood relief initiative is another example of this and we greatly value their decision to collaborate with us,” said Faisal Edhi, Director – Edhi Foundation.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the all the families affected by floods. We are working with key partners in distributing relief supplies so it reaches the affectees in time. ICC T20 WORLD CUP 2022 — Schedule, Teams, and, What to Expect?

The eighth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup is just around the corner. ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is set to kick off on October 16, 2022, and the final is scheduled for November 13, 2022. The T20I extravaganza is scheduled to be hosted by defending champions Australia, who will kick off their tournament from where they left off last year against the finalists New Zealand.

This tournament was scheduled to take place in 2020, but it was postponed amid the pandemic. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced in August 2020 that Australia will be the host nation for the rescheduled tournament in 2022.

South Africa played host to the inaugural edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2007. India defeated Pakistan in a thrilling final to claim the trophy. Over the years since then, the T20 World Cup has been won by Pakistan, England, Sri Lanka, West Indies, and Australia. West Indies is the only country to win it twice, in 2012 and 2016.

What to Expect?

T20 World Cup has its fair share of memorable moments, the world has witnessed new stars being born in this very event. One cannot forget Carlos Brathwaite hitting four sixes to Ben Stokes in the last over to win the T20 World Cup in 2016, or Matthew Wade hitting three maximums to Shaheen Afridi to pull off a miraculous victory in the semi-final last year. From Yuvraj Singh’s 6 sixes in an over, to Misbah’s mistimed scoop which cost Pakistan the 2007 World Cup, this tournament has given many memories which are still etched in the minds of fans.

This year too, the world is expecting an entertainment extravaganza, that too on fast-paced large grounds of Australia. Last year’s finalists, Australia and New Zealand are going to lock horns in their first match to kick off from where they have left off last year. On the very next day, arch-rivals India and Pakistan will meet in the marquee match. India will look to avenge last year’s loss, while Pakistan will walk into the game with more confidence after defeating India in Asia Cup 2022. These two matches will generate more excitement and set the mood for the whole tournament.

Asian champions Sri Lanka are slated to play in the opening round to qualify for Super 12, which they are expected to do on the back of an excellent Asia Cup campaign. They have found some match winners, in Nissanka, Rajapaksa, and Shanaka, which makes them dark horses in the T20 World Cup. But the main man for them is Wanindu Hasaranga, as he was the highest wicket-taker in last year’s T20 World Cup and player of the tournament in Asia Cup 2022, but it will be interesting to see how he fairs on Australian pitches.

Two-time T20 World Cup winner West Indies is in the same boat as Sri Lanka. Their qualification is important for the tournament from pure entertainment’s point of view, as they are known for being entertainers, even if they are losing. The world loves to see them in action and they have a young talented bunch of players who can turn the fortunes in their favor.

Australia is known as the paradise for fast bowlers, and almost every team is equipped with a good pace battery, but none comes closer to the pace attack of Pakistan and South Africa. Pakistani spearhead Shaheen Afridi is expected to play the tournament with full fitness, which will strengthen the attack, while on the other side Marco Jansen replaces Dwaine Pretorius in South Africa’s T20 World Cup squad, which can be a blessing in disguise. India and England both desired to have their leading fast bowlers (Jasprit Bhumrah and Jofra Archer) get fit in time, but unfortunately, none could make it. England was also deprived of the services of in-form Jonny Bairstow courtesy of a ‘freak accident’.

Overall, this is going to be an action-packed event, with every team having a fair chance to take advantage of the conditions. But in my opinion, Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, and England have a better chance to qualify for the semifinals.

1. The Basic Winter Fashion Sin

2. Ditch Bro Couture

“Bro couture,” or gym shorts, a fitting cap, ripped-sleeved shirts, socks with sandals, etc. Instead, dress casually in a pair of boat shoes, some well-fitting trousers, and a cosy sweater (not a hoodie).

3. Ultra Casual Dressing Fashion Sin

Sweatpants or pyjamas for class. Comfort need not be unattractive. For ladies, casual leggings or jeans offer a stylish substitute.

4. Go For Neutrals For Bottoms

Colors on the bottom half are unnatural. The colour shouldn’t be on your body if it doesn’t occur naturally. Period. Your allies should be neutrals.

5. The Wrong Socks

What’s Going On?

International messaging provider WhatsApp has activated a 3D billboard at London’s Piccadilly Lights as part of the final round of its global campaign to promote its updated privacy and safety features.

To mark the completion of its protracted marketing campaign, the Meta-owned company also “took over” the online game Roblox and the live streaming service Twitch in a series of week-long activations.

In addition to heavy in-game advertising on Roblox and a privacy-focused minigame on Twitch, WhatsApp has partnered with Hearst and The Player’s Tribune in the media.

What Went Behind It?

Vivian Odior, WhatsApp’s global head of brand, stated that the campaign follows the launch of three new features. She said, “this shows how WhatsApp’s features create interlocking layers of protection and allow users full control over the level of privacy they are seeking.”

The app wants to emphasise the intimacy that is achievable on WhatsApp. Now you can message confidently and worry-free in a secure location with both outdoor and digital placements. Honda All Set To Launch Its Electric SUV In 2024

Honda revealed the Prologue, a brand-new all-electric crossover SUV, last week. Meanwhile, Honda recently provided an update confirming that the SUV will make its debut in 2024.

The prologue is a partnership between Honda and General Motors (GM). Through the arrangement, Honda will be able to buy GM’s Ultrium batteries and drivetrain for its EV.

According to reports, Prologue is classified as a midsize SUV because it shares proportions with both the Honda CR-V and the Pilot. Additionally, even though Honda hasn’t yet released the official specifications, experts believe it will have the same performance metrics as the Chevy Blazer EV.

This Honda EV comes with a panoramic roof and a distinctive front fascia. Moreover, Honda has replaced the H-mark badge at the rear with a full brand name badge along with an e-series badging. The all-new SUV sits on 21-inch wheels and flaunts an exclusive North Shore Pearl exterior colour which is inspired by the colour near Lake Tahoe in California, informed the automaker.

The five-seat interior will feature charcoal and light grey colours with upfront two displays. An 11-inch driver panel and an 11.3-inch infotainment screen.

“We are not going to wait until 2024 to attract EV buyers, because we see a natural progression for a CR-V customer to Prologue with its slightly larger size, a larger interior and capable handling,” said American Honda’s vice president, Gary Robinson.

“We will support that transition now by putting smart strategies in place with the CR-V hybrid, that will enable our customers to transition to an EV.”

SUV Prologue Price

Given previous Honda vehicles the pricing, for its upcoming CR-V Hybrid, gives the buyers an idea. The Passport starts under $40,000, while the CR-V is under $30,000. GM announced its Chevy Equinox EV, also an electric SUV will start at $30,000. The Prologue is slated to be priced somewhere within the same range. The SUV is made in North America which could qualify it for new federal tax credits for clean vehicles.

The Prologues availability is more clear with sales set to begin in 2024. It is targeting 70,000 units sold in the first two years.

Here’s How You Can Store Data For 1,000 Years

Science is changing the way how we store data for the upcoming years. When the data isn’t entrusted to cloud servers, it’s left on disks and drives and cards and an array of devices that aren’t designed to last longer than a decade. However, science is shaping the future of data by using DNA as a data storage mechanism.

The technology works with the challenge of protecting data against the elements over periods stretching out millions of years.

DNA And Data

While researches are being done in wake of efforts to sequence the human genome, synthesize DNA and develop gene therapies. Likewise, research into how we could store digital data inside strands of DNA has exploded over the past decade.

Scientists have already encoded films, books, and computer operating systems into DNA. Netflix has even used it to store an episode of its 2020 thriller series Biohackers.

This specific kind of DNA does not store the code from a human genome. Instead, it stores a digital representation of a museum. “That will last easily tens of years, maybe hundreds,” says Zielinski a senior scientist in human genomics at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research.

“We’re running out of hardware. I think that industry can’t keep up with generating enough hard disks and servers to store all this data on.”

Long-Term Data Storage

Marke Bathe, a professor of biological engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, co-founded the start-up Cache DNA. The company allows access to biomolecules easily and safely. “The global threats facing humanity compel us to preserve both human-made information, such as art and science and the DNA of all living things on the planet, says Bathe.

“That way, if life were to either be recreated here or otherwise transferred or imported from other planets and so forth, there would be records of what we did, and what we had.”

While storing a vast amount of data comes with its own set of challenges, to make it last longer, all that data must be actively maintained by regularly transferring it from one medium to another. Methods like DNA could offer not just longevity but certainty.

DNA is a natural choice here, says Bathe. “Nature has used DNA for many millennia to store information in the form of genomes,” he says. “It’s been around [for billions of years], it’s something that you can kind of bank on. As long as that’s the fundamental information storage medium of a species, like humans, then it’s going to be something that we know what to do with.”

How Data Is Converted Into DNA?

The digital data is converted into DNA while designing it in a form of a DNA alphabet. DNA is made up of four molecules known as nucleotides or bases: adenine (A), cytosine (C), guanine (G), and thymine (T), joined together in different sequences in a long string. The digital information is usually turned into DNA code by converting the 0s and 1s into these four letters, and then synthesising the DNA to match.

“You can use A to represent, for example, 00; T to represent 01; G to represent 10 and C, 11,” says Milenkovic. “Then you can take any digital content that exists classically on a disk or a tape or a flash, and convert it into a four-letter alphabet.”
