Apple AirPods ‘Can Pose Cancer Risks’ According to 250 Scientists!

Apple AirPods

Apple AirPods is one of the brand’s most popular accessories.

However, 250 scientists from over 40 countries have signed a petition with the World Health Organization and the United Nations to warn individuals about the dangerous side effects of radiation.

According to scientists, Apple AirPods can “pose cancer risks”. This is because the device emits radiofrequency radiation, which is used in WiFi, cellular data and Bluetooth. Furthermore, the ear canal is quite fragile and is exposed to the waves.

The jury is still inquiring if the device can cause cancer or not before a further decision is made.

Facebook ‘Stablecoin’ to Replace Visa & MasterCard?

In 2018, Apple successfully sold 28 million pairs of the AirPods. The year before, it sold 16 million pairs in total. Even though users are loving the design, the wireless body could be pumping more than beats into wearers’ heads.

High amounts of radiation can cause:

  • vomiting, diarrhea, and nausea
  • loss of appetite
  • malaise, or feeling unwell
  • headache
  • rapid heartbeat

Symptoms depend on the dose, and whether it is a single dose or repeated.

A dose of as low as 30 rads can lead to:

  • loss of white blood cells
  • nausea and vomiting
  • headaches

A dose of 300 rads dose may result in:

  • temporary hair loss
  • damage to nerve cells
  • damage to the cells that line the digestive tract

“The various agencies setting safety standards have failed to impose sufficient guidelines to protect the general public, particularly children who are more vulnerable to the effects of EMF,” the scientists wrote.

“By not taking action, the WHO is failing to fulfill its role as the preeminent international public health agency.”

Mard March in Response to Aurat March 2019 Creates Uproar on Social Media

mard march

Aurat March 2019 took place on the 8th of March in both Karachi and Lahore. It highlighted important issues like early marriages, dowry, honour killings, domestic violence and sexual abuse that women face in the society.

Even men did not shy away from participating in the rally and played their part to defy stereotypes and to seek an end to patriarchy.

However, while the movement left many inspired, the Aurat March also became a controversial topic of discussion on social media. Various influential personalities and a few men ridiculed the idea.

So much so, a group of defensive individuals have kickstarted an insensitive campaign called ‘Mard March’ as a response to Aurat March.

Similar to women carrying placards in the gathering, these men are posing with messages, majority of them being sexist in nature.

ICC Spokesperson had also responded to Team India donning the hats against Australia. They said:

The BCCI sought permission from the ICC to wear the caps as part of a fundraising drive and in memory of fallen soldiers (in Pulwama attack), which was granted.

While Pakistan Cricket Board was unhappy with the display and wrote a strong letter to ICC in response.

“There’s absolutely no misunderstanding in the ICC about our position,” PCB boss Ehsan Mani said late on Sunday in Karachi.

We believe that cricket and sports should not be used for politics and we have said this very clearly. Their [India’s] credibility in the cricketing world has gone down very badly. – PCB’s lETTER TO icc

In the past, ICC has taken action against players like Moeen Ali and Imran Tahir over showing sentiments during matches.

Moeen was banned five years ago for donning an armband which showed ‘Save Gaza’ and ‘Free Palestine’ in a match against India. Tahir was reprimanded for the displaying of Junaid Jamshed’s image under his national jersey against Sr Lanka in 2009.

“You have two examples from the past already, where both Imran Tahir and Moeen Ali were sanctioned for something similar,” Mani said. “The ICC had taken strong action against them and we have sought similar action against India. The permission they took was for a different purpose but they acted differently.”

Hindustan Unilever’s Surf Excel Ad Just United India & Pakistan in Appreciation!

Hindustan Unilever's Surf Excel Ad

Surf Excel’s latest campaign by Hindustan Unilever, ‘#RangLayeSang’’ celebrates ‘Holi’, with a bold take on communal peace that has been welcomed by many.

An influential brand has the power to unite people from all races and religions if the content and communication is effective.

The ad depicts a moving story of a young girl who helps her Muslim neighbour offer his prayer in the mosque whilst she gets splashed by colours from the neighbourhood kids in a bid to save him.

The ad ends on an empowering note, stating:

Apnay Pan se Auroon Ko Rangnay Mein Dhaag Lag Jaye Tou Dhaag Achay Hotay Hain

The advertisement is bound to bring a smile on your face!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zq7mN8oi8ds

However, the ad has the Indian Twitterverse divided, creating a major controversy across the border.

Some expressed their displeasure claiming that the ad was disrespectful towards the festival of Holi.

Some have stated that it hurts religious sentiments of Hindus in India.

BoycottSurfExcel was extensively used by Twitter users to showcase their anger.

However, some sane voices have lauded Surf Excel for producing a powerful marketing masterpiece.

The advert is also making waves in Pakistan, winning hearts for its vision of harmony.

The reaction from certain segments of the Indian society may be negative towards the concept used in the campaign, however, the advert is also receiving love from both Indians and Pakistanis.

This is not the first time, brands have made efforts to bring together people of the subcontinent, urging them to forget all national and religious differences.

In 2013, Google India’s ‘Reunion’ ad had used a similar message showcasing how two childhood friends, separated due to the Indo-Pak Partition, reunited via the tech giant.

YouTube Fact-Check Feature for Sensitive Videos to be Rolled-Out Soon

Youtube Fact Check Lead

In order to tackle fake news and false information, YouTube is gearing up to roll out a new feature that will give users a fact-check before watching sensitive videos.

As of now, this feature is currently available in India to a selective number of people and will eventually be rolled out globally. However, YouTube has not given a certain time.

When a user searches for a particular search, let’s say ‘virus in paracetamol’, an information panel will drop down in which will provide debunks from YouTube’s verified fact-checking partners.

7 Pakistani Celebrities That Are Making Money on YouTube

This will help in monitoring and cutting down on the spreading of false news. However, videos on YouTube that may contain misinformation will still appear in one’s search results.

YouTube Fact Check Feature

“As part of our ongoing efforts to build a better news experience on YouTube, we are expanding our information panels to bring fact checks from eligible publishers to YouTube,” the spokesperson told BuzzFeed News.

Reportedly, the spokesperson also provided a screenshot of an information panel in Hindi containing a debunk for a Hindi search query for “CCTV footage of the Pulwama terror attack”.

The actor took his Twitter account and wrote:

He expressed his thoughts after the Indian Minister of Corporate Affairs Arun Jaitley gave a few anti-Pakistan statements in a show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’.

Arun Jaitley was of the opinion:

At the onset, we should refresh our memory. Since the past many years, Imran Khan rivals in Pakistan have been addressing him as ‘Taliban Khan’, even though he has been a cricketer, a popular politician, before being elected as the prime minister of his country.

Apparently, Kapoor agrees with Arun in this matter.

Aurat March 2019: Some Powerful Messages That Are All About Women Empowerment

Modern Marketing Solutions for Modern Marketing Challenges.

A vast majority of information that we absorb on our daily basis comes through digital means, especially from our mobiles.

A constant companion that lingers with us in our daily routine, whether we are sitting idle or are busy in our chores, our cellphone always remain the main protagonist. With this gradual shift, more businesses are taking notice and targeting this booming market.

Evolution of practices and adapting to this shift hasn’t materialized altogether just as yet; with brands tending to plaster their conventional methods over to digital platforms. There are, however, some brands that are keeping pace with their ever-changing consumer base. Amongst these brands is Zellbury, clothing, and fashion brand.

Zellbury’s latest commercial for their ready to wear collection was a future-forward venture in advertising. Shot completely vertically, the commercial was made to fit perfectly to mobile screens, targeting people scrolling through their social media timelines.

Partnering with Irfan Junejo, a Pakistani youth’s media staple, they came together to create a truly magnetizing video.

Keeping with the brand’s young image, the video was accompanied by a rap track, sung by Young Stunners, depicting Karachi’s street style and daily lives of the nation’s vibrant youth.

Zellbury’s combination of a fresh, young, creative approach and the tactical decision to create a vertically framed video, specifically for mobile devices, may prove to be the contemporary marketing strategy that we require to stay up to date with the changing trends. Excited to see what the brand comes up next!

At the start of the 21st Century, he was transferred to the relatively less onerous post of Director Administration in deference to his age. As he celebrates his completing 60 years at the agency, he still continues to assist the Creative Department in Proofreading and Translations.

Mr. Poshni is among the first to arrive at the office every morning and daily puts in a full 9 hours of work – sometimes even longer. “I have worked 60 years for Manhattan,” said Mr. Poshni, “and very proud of my achievements and to be celebrating my Diamond Jubilee with my colleagues. To be looked up to and be respected by everyone at Manhattan is something that gives me tremendous pride and joy.”

The occasion was marked with a celebration of Mr. Poshni’s legacy, his greatest works and high-tea party at Manhattan, where Manhattan International founder and Chairman, Mr. Bashir Ahmed Khan, CEO Mr. Dara Bashir Khan, Mr. Poshni and others gave speeches. His family and close friends were also invited to celebrate with him.
His tireless effort, supreme skills and uncompromising ethics are cherished by everyone at Manhattan and we wish him many more years of good health and service.
