Visit of Foreign Minister Of Turkey To Pakistan

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu will pay an official visit to Pakistan on 12-14 January 2021 along with a delegation. The Turkish Foreign Minister will hold bilateral talks with Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and call on the Prime Minister and President during the visit.

The two Foreign Ministers will review the entire gamut of bilateral relations and exchange views on regional and international issues.

Foreign Minister Cavusoglu’s visit to Pakistan is part of regular high-level exchanges between the two countries. This will be his third visit during the last two and half years.

The fraternal relations between Pakistan and Turkey are deeply embedded in common faith, culture and history and underpinned by exceptional mutual trust and respect.

Pakistan-Turkey bilateral relations have been institutionalized under the High Level Strategic Cooperation Council (HLSCC), which is the highest level decision-making forum, providing strategic direction to further boost the partnership. Co-chaired by President Erdogan and Prime Minister Imran Khan, the 6th Session of HLSCC was held in Islamabad in February 2020.

The Strategic Economic Framework (SEF), signed at 6th Session of HLSCC, has 71 action points for deeper cooperation between the two countries in diverse fields.

Pakistan and Turkey enjoy close collaboration on issues of mutual interest at multilateral fora such as the UN, OIC and ECO. Turkey is an important member of the OIC Contact Group on Jammu & Kashmir and has been consistently supporting the cause of self-determination of the Kashmiri people.

The forthcoming visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister will help further deepen the bilateral ties and enhance cooperation in multiple areas.

Coronavirus did quite some damage to the world as it spread. People tried adapting to the change in hopes that it will soon be over. But having witnessed the first anniversary of covid-19 in November and seeing new strains appear, that hope has gradually vanished.

Now, it has been discovered that one of the new strains can damage the brain. You might say that the original strain was also doing it, so that’s not new. But here is the thing. The original strain was reportedly making people blind aside from psychological illnesses such as depression. The new strain, however, can damage the brain without infecting it. So the scenario is, coronavirus strand will not have to invade the brain tissue.

COVID-19 new strain research

To come to this finding, researchers examined 19 bodies of people who died due to COVID-19. They focused on the brain regions that were more likely to be affected by the disease; the olfactory bulb and the brainstem. These two regions control smell, breathing, and heart rate. 14 out of 19 bodies had damaged blood vessels in these regions. These areas had inflamed surroundings, which was the result of the body’s immune response. However, the virus itself was not present in the brain. The research author Dr. Avindra Nath from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, said, ‘We were completely surprised.’

The researchers’ team believes that the observations from the covid-19 dead bodies were associated with what they usually found in neuro-inflammatory diseases.

“In the future, we plan to study how novel coronavirus harms the brain’s blood vessels and whether that produces some of the short- and long-term symptoms we see in patients,” the researcher said.

So it even more important now to exercise all the measures to protect oneself against COVID-19.

Abdul Fc has done a lot for the change of football in Karachi, and still, this group is attempting to make football a spotlight in Pakistan simply like Cricket. They brought a great deal of ability from Karachi and pulling up those youths who are trying hard and attempting to accomplish their goals in the football world.

The recent success and achievement for Lyari in the world of Football is the Champions Cup which was organized by Abdul Fc. This tournament is considered the biggest futsal football platform for the footballers of Pakistan. Abdul Fc organized this event in Lyari and shockingly more than 70 teams participated in this tournament in which 25 teams were from different cities like Islamabad, Lahore, even some teams took part which was from northern areas of Pakistan like Chitral. This event took place on 26^th Dec 2020.

Abdul Fc is considered as one of the deadliest team in Karachi but this time situation was extremely different and interesting when Team Eighteen from Islamabad showed their presence in this tournament and become the center of everyone’s attention. The stunning part was, a huge amount of spectators were present and made the event more energizing and that was the achievement of this competition.

Abdul Fc and Team Eighteen eliminated all the teams and made their places in the grand finale. The final was a nail biter and both the teams played very well, after a thrilling encounter Team Eighteen defeats Abdul Fc and named the victory by securing the triumphant title of Champions Cup. The most fascinating player was Abdullah shah and he achieved the award of the best defender throughout the tournament, the best player of the tournament was Alamgir Ghazi and the top scorer was Shams Taj of Abdul Fc.

An exhibition match took place after the final of Champions Cup for making the tournament more intriguing. This match made everybody go because viewing your national’s stars from naked eyes is astonishing. The skipper Saddam Hussain of Pakistan team and ex-player Kaleemullah also showed their presence in this match. The opponent team was Abdul Fc and each player was elated while playing the exhibition match.

This event was a major stage for the individuals of Lyari and for the football devotees of Pakistan. Pakistan Football Federation should make efforts for launching these sorts of competitions everywhere in Pakistan and bring out the talent.

Veena Malik Sues Her Ex-husband For Rs. 1bn

On Monday, actress Veena Malik filed a defamation suit against her ex-husband accusing him of causing loss to business opportunities, loss to different contracts, mental torture and allegedly launching a defamation campaign against her. She has filed a Rs. 1 billion lawsuit against Khattak.

Moreover, Veena has claimed that Khattak shared photos of personal documents on Twitter. She also claimed that his false accusations are influencing her reputation.

Malik’s lawyer told sources that her ex-husband raised the issue of the children’s custody only because she had asked him to return Rs. 80 million that he took from her when the couple was together.

Veena, in her defamation suit, sought Rs. 500 million as loss of reputation or goodwill, Rs. 400 million as loss of business opportunities, Rs. 80 million as loss of contracts and Rs. 20 million for compensatory damages for mental torture from her former husband.

The Veena Malik and Asad Khattak feud has turned even sourer with now the children being kidnapped.

The Current Happenings

Currently, it has come to the attention of the media that Asad Khattak has landed in Lahore. Khattak being Veena Malik’s ex-husband resides in Dubai, and he has made this trip during this time because of his children. He has claimed that he is holding a press conference on an immediate basis to reveal the actress’s truth and uncover all the lies she has spewed.

But it gets worse! Veena Malik has allegedly kidnapped her own children from Dubai as they were living with their father. Due to this reason, Khattak is claiming he has come to Lahore only for his children.

What’s The Context?

A call was recently ousted on social media between Veena Malik and her ex-husband, Asad Khattak. The call was proof of the actress verbally abusing her husband heavily while also threatening him. The threats were, moreover, levied at Khattak’s mother and sister too.

The call created an uproar on social media based on the abuse it entailed. The fact that there was a man this time on the receiving end should have no difference in the amount of support.

The Feud Goes Back

How can a marriage turn this sour? Veena Malik and Asad Khattak got married in Dubai in 2013. They have two children together, which Asad Khattak currently claims were illegally brought to Pakistan. Their divorce happened just 5 years later, in 2018.

Recently, when Khattak was questioned over why he decided to marry Malik, his response shocked many. He said he married her to bring her on the “right path” as a Muslim, given that she had tarred Pakistan’s image in her endeavors.

Two Sides of A Coin?

The two are currently engaged in a legal battle that is as ugly as legal battles come. Although the court had initially ruled in favor of Asad Khattak, allowing him to meet the children, Veena Malik kept them away from their father.

She also returned the PKR 500 million lawsuits to Khattak over the charges of defamation and blackmail. Now, she has illegally brought the children to Pakistan, for which Khattak is ready to fight.

Veena Malik’s side of the story, however, has not seen the light yet. It is suspected the actress will soon make a statement and that this feud is not ending soon or amicably.

Many rumors and speculations were being floated on the internet regarding the car, which was anticipated a lot by Pakistani car consumers and enthusiasts. Shoaib Malik Gets Into A Horrible Accident In His Sports Car

Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik was reportedly involved in a car accident on Sunday, January 10th, 2021. He was in his sports car, leaving Lahore’s National High-Performance Centre (NHPC) at the end of the PSL draft. The extent of the accident was quite harsh, considering the images of the car that have rolled in. However, the former captain has informed Twitterati that he is indeed all right.

According to the images, the car took the most damage on the front as it hit a truck. This happened at the restaurant near NHPC. According to a local newspaper reporter who got in touch with eyewitnesses, the cricketer was reported exiting NHPC at a fast speed that he was unable to regulate. The car skidded on the road and then hit the truck.

He and Wahab Riaz had left together; they were reportedly in great spirits but clearly were inexperienced when it came to driving a sports car.

The Cricketer’s Statement

People were worried about their favorite cricketer. And so Malik informed his fans through a tweet that he was completely fine:

“It was just a happenstance accident, and Almighty has been extremely Benevolent,” Shoaib Malik wrote on Twitter a couple of hours after the crash that had fans worrying for the cricket star. Thank you to each one of you who’ve reached out. I am deeply grateful for all the love and care.”

Personal Note: Seriously? You people had the guts to stand around and were thinking of making videos when you just witnessed a horrible car accident. Where exactly is empathy? It is just sad that a man who, for whatever reason, was in an accident had to make such a request.

“A countrywide blackout has been caused by a sudden plunge in the frequency in the power transmission system,” Omar Ayub Khan, The Power minister of Pakistan wrote on Twitter.

Although it is not new for Pakistanis to face power disruptions and load-shedding, but it was unusual for them to face it nationwide at the same time, and that is something that has rarely happened.

The restoration process of electricity:

According to news, the government and private electric institutions and companies have been working all night to restore the power of the country and as per updates, it has started to restore slowly and gradually all across the country.

Minister of IT & Technology, Fawad Chaudhary claimed that the Power Minister, Mr. Omar Ayub Khan and his team stayed up all night and was coordinating with teams all across the country to restore the power breakdown all across the country.

Even-though many areas all across the country are still yet to get their power back on, the government has announced and has told the citizens to remain calm as all the stake-holders and people responsible for the power infrastructure are working to restore the power back in the country.

Pakistan was not alone in the blackout though

Soon after Pakistan plunged back into darkness, another place which holds a significant place lost its power. The place was Vatican City, in Rome, Italy which holds a very important place for the Christians all around the world.

There are many developments currently being made in the electrical domain. The primary area of this is encircling the automotive industry. Yes, the era of electric vehicles has begun. Up until 2012, General Motors was the number one titan for Electric Vehicles. They sold more than any other competitor at rates more feasible than any other one. Additionally, they did not have that many quality issues with their product and their electric vehicles ran long.

This is a company which is more than a 100 years old! It has been present for more than a century and that is an impressive feature. It is so old that it goes way before world war I. Yes, that was when the vehicle production, by this company, had first started. Now, with Tesla rising, what is General Motors planning?

General Motors And A History:

Even if we put the electric vehicles aside, General Motors has had an impressive track record over the years. They have produced some of the best vehicles to ever grip the surface of the road. Not just this, their long lasting quality and features ensure that customers keep coming back for more.

In 2012, General Motors saw the rise of another competitor in the Market. Tesla released its Model S! Even then, General Motors stayed at the top of the food chain. However, recent news state that General Motors have a couple of cards up their sleeve. They have a goal set in mind. It is to produce 1 million electric vehicles by 2025! A million of them! It is being predicted that this can overtake Tesla.

An official at General Motors was asked for comments. While they did not state the name of their rival, it was clear who they were referring to. They even pointed out the quality issues that come with buying a vehicle from a 15-year old startup. Yes, they are indirectly taking a jab at ‘You Know Who’s!

Shaping The Future:

So, what is the future of electric? Are we to see a robust battle take place between an old titan and a new rising one? There is much to be pondered over as 2021 progresses. There is much to see. General Motors intends to reduce pricing as low as $75 kilowatt per hour whereas Tesla has a plan to go as low as $50.

Whether it is one or the other, there will be a huge match as we reach 2025. Even the Prime Minister, of Great Britain, has stated that they intend to abolish all combustion vehicles in the next five years! Let us see how news further develops on this front. Till then, we wait and watch as Elon Musk’s Tesla continues to progress at a rapid rate, and General Motors plans to overtake!

Believe It Or Not, This Woman Cooks Food Using Her Mouth!

Cooking food is an art. Everyone knows that having seen programs such as Master Chef. The people who cook that food give food almost sacred regard. Since social media has emerged, unique things go viral, and food also gets subjected to it. For instance, there was this girl who cooked food, among other things, with her feet. She did not have hands, so it was inspiring. But when you have a perfectly good body, and you cook food with your mouth, adding spit, that’s just gross!

The video went viral and has garnered more than 300,000 views. And it shows the art of a phenomenon called ’mouth cooking.’ The video in question has a woman making a turkey. She does not use any utensils or any piece of cutlery. Instead, she uses what she calls ’safety and comfort of her mouth.’

The video begins with the woman taking a sip of red wine, after which she goes right to business. To prepare turkey stuffing, she needs onions, celery, carrot chopped. So takes a bite of each thing, chews it properly, and spits it out in a bowl. Trust me; it’s grosser when you watch it. With the mirepoix, traditional French vegetable base, ready, she goes to garlic, egg, more parsley, and bread. This, too, she takes care of with her mouth.

How gross it gets!

I will not tell you how the raw eggs were added because if you are eating, you will surely vomit. But it’s safe to say that she properly uses her mouth for the egg as well. She then moves on to black peppercorns and onions. She mashes all the mixture, adding her saliva, and then deposits everything from her mouth to the turkey directly. She possibly signifies the end of mouth cooking by kissing the baked turkey. And after that, she lays it out on plates with her hands.

If you are brave enough, you can watch this video for yourself directly. However, make sure that you are nearby your washroom because you just might need to discard your last food.

But when a woman is not crying, I mean they do cry (it’s human to cry), and yet the drama takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride, then you know that it is a moving drama. Such dramas are now very few, but once in a while, they do grace our TV screens and bring a smile amid tears for the audience.

Here are five emotional Pakistani dramas that are a must-watch.

1. Meri Zaat Zarra e Benishan

Samiya Mumtaaz, as Saba Kareem, made an already very emotional story a picture-perfect look. The show is about a woman who has an unusual connection to Allah and does not get involved in simple actions. It makes people jealous, so they weave conspiracy, and she gets entangled in it. She learns the hard way that worldly love s not worth the trust when her husband does not choose to believe her. How the story goes beyond that is something that you will have to see for yourself.

2. Qurbaan

Iqra Aziz accurately described the story for this drama. When asked, the antagonist in the information with you, Shehzad Sheikh and Bilal Abbas, she said, the society, the halaat. And I think nothing can be more accurate than this. It is a story of love, the cycle of love. Love evolves; love changes face, but love doesn’t die.

3. Mata e Jaan

A cute husband-wife relationship. You watch them, and you instinctively want a love like them. But then the husband dies, and the widow decides to make her husband’s parents accept her wholeheartedly. And she makes it happen. After that, they grow together and find out their way of dealing with such a near-death.

4. Maat

A story about selfish people and their desires. A sister who goes after her sister’s husband. Sounds like Jalan? Not really. Let me explain. A woman gets married to the one she wanted. But after having a child, she leaves him for someone richer. Her sister has to gather the shattered pieces. And she does so. Decades later, the woman notices that her ex, now sister’s husband, is more successful than ever, so she returns. And her ex accepts her. But what of the good sister? She, in the end, is happy. Watch the drama and love it as much as I did.

5. Dayar e Dil

Dayar e Dil is, I would call, very real. Okay, maybe I cannot relate to the amount of money they have (I got Mr. Bajaj’s vibe). But other than that, it showed that life doesn’t stop for anyone. It keeps moving. Time heals. People grow. And love finds you, be it a partner’s love or a parent’s love.

These specific Pakistani dramas do not have a woman who keeps crying while bad keeps happening to her and forget all those who did it just to save her marriage. No, the stories in these dramas are way beyond that. They are cute, they are sad, they are romantic, and they keep the viewer entertained throughout the span on which they are spread. Hopefully, there will be more such dramas on our screens in the future. But for now, if you haven’t watched them, do watch them because you will surely love them.

5 Myths About The Pfizer Vaccine That Aren’t True

Assuming something to be present in the vacuum is in our nature. If an object that looked like a broken square were put in front of us, even if it were initially curated like that, our brain would assume that a square existed there at some point in time. This is just how our brains are wired. And so, when news about the vaccine for a pandemic that had been haunting the world for a year surfaced, but no one built on it further, people started forming myths and beliefs about something that had no base.

Myth 1: The Pfizer vaccine can change human DNA?

Some people are claiming that the mRNA technology that is being used in the vaccine can change the DNA. According to the myth, 75% of the volunteers in the vaccine trials have experienced side effects.

Before we get down to debunking this myth, here is a fun fact; your RNA is in constant motion, and because of that, every 7 years, our DNA signature gets completely altered anyway.

Reminder: the Pfizer vaccine uses mRNA technology which has never been tested or approved before.

To debunk the myth, let’s go into detail about how the mRNA technology in the vaccine really works. It will be using Covid 19’s genetic code. When the vaccine is injected, the immune system will recognize the virus and start producing and firing antibodies to tackle it. This is the work of the mRNA, not changing the DNA in this instance at least.

As for the stats (75%) for the adverse effects, they were fatigue (9.7%), pain (4.1%), headache (4.5%), and redness (2.0%)

Myth 2: the vaccine was created fast. Is it dangerous?

Some people have put forward that it takes several years to develop a vaccine. But a medical industry stakeholder explained that this results in due to the vaccine producers who decide whether they are going to go ahead after each interval. But covid stands differently here because it is a global pandemic that has wrapped the whole world around it. So no company is evaluating whether to go ahead or not go along with it.

Myth 3: vaccine contains parts of an aborted fetus

Social media can spread many rumors. One rumor was that the vaccine was built from MRC-5 cell lines. These lines were developed from the lung tissue of an aborted caucasian male fetus.

This part is somewhat untrue. Apparently, it has been taken from a different cell strain. The strain was obtained from a female fetus aborted in the 1970s. It helps in propagating the vaccine, but in the final cut, it is not used.

Myth 4: The first vaccine trial volunteer has died

The news started circulating that Dr. Elisa Granato has passed away. Dr. Granato was the first one to take part in the vaccine trials. When the story became viral, Dr. Granato tweeted as a response that she is very much alive and having a cup of tea.

Myth 5: Bill Gates is using a vaccine to microchip everyone

And the best conspiracy theory about the vaccine has been that Bill Gates will use the vaccine to put a microchip in the whole world. This has come about due to his active involvement in vaccine development.

Bill Gates has denied all allegations.
