Earlier this summer, Packages Mall announced the return of its flagship activity for kids, Little Big Town, a place where kids not only have fun but also learn important lessons that help in developing their social, moral and ethical responsibilities.
Parents, finally had the opportunity to shop with ease, while their kids were busy exploring the many wonders and mysteries of Little Big Town.
This year’s Little Big Town boasted all the activities from the previous year and brought in some new ones for children to enjoy.
The unique ‘Fun, Learn, Earn’ experience was further enhanced as kids got the chance to step into the shoes of adults by role-playing different professions such as; a doctor, a grocer, a magician, an artist and many more.
The entire activity was designed to help them develop self-confidence and a sense of responsibility, preparing them for the future.
Inside the town, kids were made to experience a virtual life, where on entering they were given a sum of money which they could spend, save or multiply by performing various jobs being offered at Little Big Town.
Their cognitive skills were tested and trained as they calculated the possibilities of using the money given to them, while also evaluating the kind of results their decision making would bring.
After earning their hard-earned money, the children had the option to spend it on either leisure or household activities.
They could either play golf, go dancing, or even get their nails done. While a supermarket provided them with practical household goods to spend their money on. This gave them a sense of what it is like to achieve sustainability with limited resources while trying to achieve maximum results.
Once again, Little Big Town was hugely successful and was loved by children and parents alike. It will be exciting to see what new ideas Packages Mall plans to bring forward for the next edition of Little Big Town.

Wow! A month ago, I wondered if it would be possible to make the best 1 minute video about a country I can't enter: Pakistan. Politics makes it impossible for an Israeli citizen (even though I'm Muslim) and a Pakistani to visit each other. The internet, however, doesn't discriminate. And using you, the people watching Nas Daily, WE DID IT!!!! People to people. No need for the middleman. I hope to finally visit you and I hope you visit me. Thank you for your help:Hania Chima for leading the efforts on the groundBushra Joyo Zuhaib SarfarazAsif Ali TamilSabel GoheerEbrahim HaqAnas Khurshid Muhammed Qazi And everyone in the Pakistan in 1 Minute Nas Daily Facebook group. I must have missed some people and some shots were not included in this video, apologies to those. This is the video I'm most proud of to date. LIKE Nas Daily on Facebook!@NasDaily on Instagram!
Here is how Alyne shared her excitement on her official Instagram account.
“I can’t believe it! I GOT MY VISA TO PAKISTAN! 😱 Remember last year when I spent two weeks in Istanbul trying to get it and I failed…well, they made a new online a visa system and I literally got it in a day!,”
Staying positive, he collected images and videos through the internet and made the video hoping to visit Pakistan one day.
In terms of tourism, Pakistan is a hidden treasure left unexplored by many, including those living here. More people need to explore the land and it’s always a delight when foreign travel bloggers decide to visit Pakistan.
NAS Daily has been dating Alyne Tamir who is also his travel companion and appears in a majority of his videos. She also manages her own vlog titled Dear Alyne which tackles several topics such as feminism, sexism, materialism, vegetarianism, consumerism, female empowerment and, obviously, travel.
While Alyne is definitely coming, let’s hope NAS can come along and explore Pakistan too!
Last night one of the most popular Karachi based female activists (and writer) took to social media to announce and celebrate that she has been selected as one of the 42 participants from all over the globe for a film festival in Switzerland.
The Locarno Film Festival is an annual film festival held every year in Locarno, Switzerland in the month of August.
Founded in 1946, it is one of the longest-running film festivals, and is also known for being a prestigious platform for art house films.
Here is what the chosen participant, Sadia Khatri’s tweet read:
Sadia is also the Co-founder of ‘Girls at Dhabas’, a feminist collective that aims to eliminate gender gap and segregation at public spaces that are sadly mostly male dominant.
Through her activism, she raises the voice of women and other gender non-conforming folks and empowers Pakistani women.
We are proud of Sadia Khatri for making it this far, and are hopeful that she represents Pakistan at the Locarno Film festival 2019 in the best possible way!
What do you think about her achievement?

The footprint we’re leaving on the environment is extremely toxic for us and the generations to come.
It is imperative that we understand the impact of our jobs, the events we attend, the festivals we go to in order to save the planet we live in, as events yield a lot of waste and leave a large carbon footprint.
According to meetgreen.com the typical conference waste attendee produces 1.89KG of waste per day, 1.16KG of that will go directly to a landfill. When you calculate that number for 1000 attendees over 3 days you get 5670KG of waste, the equivalent of 4 compact cars.

The storm created after Mohsin Abbas Haider’s wife Fatima Sohail coming out with her #MeToo story does not look like it will calm any soon.
Mohsin’s wife Fatema Sohail took to her social media accounts and revealed the horrific details of her abusive relationship with her husband and his fans were left totally shocked.
Shockingly, a number of celebrities like Humaima Malick, Gohar Rasheed, Dua Malick, and Haroon Shahid also stepped forward and said that they have witnessed Mohsin Abbas Haider torturing his wife.
Today, Dunya TV channel took to their social media to announce that they had ended any and all associations with Mohsin Abbas Haider in light of recent events.
However, news has surfaced that, in order to start maximizing profit in the mango season as early as possible, farmers usually pick green mangoes and put small packets of calcium carbide in the crates before sending them off to the market.
By the time the crates reaches the market sellers, the mangoes have ripened and are ready to be eaten. However, that does not mean that they should be eaten.
With carcinogenic properties, Calcium carbide is a highly reactive chemical. In some extreme cases, it can even be dangerous enough to cause cancer, ulcers, and respiratory problems.
A number of celebrities including Mahira Khan, Hira Mani, Iqra Aziz, Hania Amir, Yasir Hussian and Saba Qamar have started speaking up against Mohsin Abbas Haider for the abuse allegations put on him by his wife, Fatema Sohail.
While both Mohsin and Fatema have conducted press conferences of their own to clarify their side of the story, they have also both sworn on the Holy Quran to make their stories more credible.
Most of the people seem to be supporting and speaking up for Fatema and not for Mohsin.
It is good to see the kind of support she has been receiving from celebrities, social media influencers and government authorities alike. So much so that Dunya TV has fired Mohsin from their channel.
However, some people have pointed out how many of these celebrities chose to stay silent when Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar’s case was all over the place.
From the saturday night, since Mohsin Abbas Haider's wife has put allegations on him, everyone in the industry seems to be the torch bearer of #StopDomesticViolence Last yead, when Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi's case came forward, I remember clearly, (1/4)
Jami Moor, famous Pakistani filmmaker for example, has lashed out at these supporters for being hypocrites.
According to Jami, many of these celebrities were aware of Mohsin and Fatema’s situation, yet they did not speak up earlier.
They also did not speak up when Meesha came up with her #MeToo story against Ali Zafar, because they did not want to ruin their position in the industry by opposing a big, influential star like Ali Zafar.
In essence, Jami’s point is that most celebrities condemning Mohsin Abbas Haider’s abusive inhumane behaviour are only doing it because it is safe and makes for good Pr for them.
When meesha shafi put allegations against Ali zafar Tb kahan thee ap ? Domestic violence wala sirf chote actors k liye use hota hea #Hypocrisy

Due to the massive decline in demand for automotive vehicles, Honda Atlas and Indus Motors Company decided to cut down on the production of cars.
Pak Suzuki was expected to follow in the same direction, however, the brand has assured that they are not doing anything like that.
Suzuki has clarified that the brand has no plans to cut production units for July-December 2019.
The manufacturer has a target of producing 76,000 units in the given period. During the first 6 months of the year, they successfully rolled-out 60,000 units.
Furthermore, the brand also clarified that it has no intentions of cutting off any vendors or suppliers during this designated period as well.
However, the other two leading automotive manufacturers, Honda as well as Toyota decided to hold back on production after the introduction of higher taxes under the new Federal Budget of 2019-20.
Honda announced it will keep its plants closed for 10 days, while Toyota will close the shutters for 8 days ( 2 days a week).
Unlike these dominating auto giants, newer players like AL-HAJ FAW and United Autos will not feel the pressure as they do not have a bigger share of the market, yet.
Nonetheless, it is a positive sign for Suzuki. Not to forget, less production and days off mean job cuts for approximately 150,000 employees.
We hope the condition of the automotive industry gets back on track.

It has been recently reported that, upon orders from the Supreme Court, Officials of the Building Control Section, Estate Management, and enforcement directorates carried out an operation on a mall in Pakistan during which they partially sealed the mall.
Sealed areas include food courts, basement, and the management offices.
Nine years ago, a plot that was meant for a health facility was bought by an investor as a commercial plot and was later granted permission by development authority officials to construct a mutiple-story mall on the plot.
In 2013, the plot was declared illegal and those officials were prosecuted and sent to jail.
Therefore, over the weekend, the Safa Gold Mall Capital Development Authority (CDA) has been partially sealed, leaving investors worried about losing the billions of rupees they had invested.
NAB has also been contacted to investigate whether this is a case of corruption.
The owner of the mall, Rana Abdul Qayyum, however, is no where close to guilty. Here is what he has to say about the situation:
“My review petition has been admitted by the Supreme Court against earlier observations passed by the honorable judges in a case which was not about Safa Gold Mall.”
Arguing that CDA is the one at fault for allowing him to buy a plot which had been meant for a hospital, he further added:
“The chairman CDA had misrepresented the facts in Supreme Court in the absence of the aggrieved party, and it is our right to go for the review,”
Do you agree with Supreme Court’s decision to seal Safa Gold mall, or could it be just another way for authorities to make money?

Registered sales tax sellers are now required to retrieve buyer’s CNIC if the amount exceeds over Rs. 50,000 according to a new notification circulated by the Federal Board of Revenue.
Female buyers can use the CNICs of their husbands or father when making the transactions. The reason behind this new rule is to document all business to business transactions in order to identify transactions and their nature.
The FBR has also issued a clarification to provide details about the amendments made to the Sale Tax Act. The new amendments have been made mandatory for buyers to provide their CNIC on the transactions.
Reportedly, 41,484 sales tax registered individuals pay tax with returns. Furthermore, if a purchase involves a sales tax registered person, the CNIC number of the buyer will be necessary for some specific situations.
FBR also clarified that the allocation of the CNIC doesn’t mean that a buyer needs to be a registered person under the sales tax law. Sales can be made to the unregistered individuals as well.
The board clarified if under any circumstances the seller is given an incorrect ID, the individual will not be liable to any penalty. No action will be taken against the seller if the error is identified after the transaction was carried out in good faith.
In order for the FBR to take any action against a seller, they will require permission from the chief commissioner of the jurisdiction. For transactions over Rs. 5 million, the action will be taken only after the member of operation or a director-general approves it.

Let’s just not ignore the fact that increasing taxes, prices and inflation has decreased the overall sales in Pakistan.
If we go back and see the performance of the automobile industry in the past few years we can clearly see the industry-dominating and growing sales of cars and bikes each year respectively.
However, this has not been the case of the industry this year.
If we have a closer look at the bigger family cars (1300cc+) we can see that in the 1st half of 2018 Suzuki sold 2,715 units, 26,087 units of Toyota and 23,189 units of Honda.
This year Toyota sold 17,405 units, Honda selling almost 28,770 units and Suzuki selling 2,541 units. The 1000 cc and below units also saw a major impact and yes it’s positive.
About 10,982 units of Cultus were sold within the half of 2018 as compared to 15,065 units of WagonR however things are rather attention-grabbing in 2019 as 12,006 units of cultus were sold despite its very cheap sale of 988 units for the month of June whereas Pakistan’s beloved WagonR conjointly saw a hike of around 1500 units with 16,533 units sold.
There’s an added vehicle that is commonly unmarked that’s Bolan which doesn’t sell in crazy high variety however doesn’t sell in low number either. However, its sales figures were conjointly near to the Suzuki Cultus associated saw an overall decline of four-dimensional in sales.
Thus this section, despite the percentages saw a positive increase of around four-dimensional. The pickup associated SUV section saw an overall decrease in sales.
2,549 Toyota Fortuner SUV were sold by Toyota Indus within the half of 2018 that I’d say could be a sensible variety whereas the sales were slightly slow at 2,201 units in H1 of 2019 however not an enormous distinction.
However, there’s an added vehicle that Toyota sells in massive numbers thanks to its utilization within the business sector. The undisputed king of cross-country parcel of land Toyota Hilux Pickup.
Until June 2018 Toyota sold a combined of 4,299 units of Hilux and in H1 2019 things improved, and Toyota sold 2,642 Hilux Pickups.
What do you think about Pakistan’s sinking automotive industry?

Mohsin Abbas Haider and his wife, Fatema Suhail have been making the headlines ever since Fatema came out with her story of alleged abuse and cheating with Nazish Jahangir.
Both Mohsin and Fatema have done press conferences and explained in detail their sides of the story.
However, now, in order for the case to proceed, evidences and proofs are required.
Recently, Khalid Butt, the man who had introduced Mohsin to the industry and worked with him for 6 straight years, broke silence over the matter and whatever he had to say is of utter significance to the case.
Khalid was the anchor of the famous Banana News Network, which Mohsin was an integral part of.
Here is what he had to say about Mohsin:
I worked with Mohsin Abbas Haider for six years straight. I will shed some light on his personality which I closely observed working with him during these six years. I was the one who introduced him on television in my show as a reporter Kashmir Singh, as Kashmir Singh
His attitudes was not professional during the show and I even witnessed some alterations between him and his family. At one time I saw him shouting and using abusive language towards them on phone.
When I asked him about it he was not a bit abashed n stubbornly insisted his actions were correct. Even when we were playing cricket sometimes, he was sore loser. He had sadistic, violent tendencies which I observed from time to time.
Moreover, Khalid also strongly condemned violence and said that it is already so difficult for women victims to speak up in Pakistan, which is why we should support them even more when they do decide to speak up.
It's already very hard for a Pakistani female to come forward about domestic violence. There's whole society she has to answer to. I think we should all stand by not only her but all the women going through this painful experience.
It's already very hard for a Pakistani female to come forward about domestic violence. There's whole society she has to answer to. I think we should all stand by not only her but all the women going through this painful experience.

Moreover, given TECNO’s image in the marketplace and the reviews of its other products we can expect the Spark Go to also offer many amazing features. While TECNO hasn’t officially released the list of tools and components of the phone itself, however seeing from the picture we can take a few guesses ourselves.
The image of the Spark Go showcases two circles on the top left corner. These are definitely the cameras with a white flash circle in between. As they are two of them we can guess that the Spark Go might be a dual camera phone, which is super exciting. A dual camera will allow users an opportunity to utilize their phone for much more than just amateur photography.
It will give them the chance to take their photographs to the next level. In this regard, the teaser is hinting at a wonderful news for all smartphone users who enjoy capturing their precious moments. We expect that the Spark Go is bound to give us high level cameras that will make the wait worthwhile.
Besides, the dual camera and the price we are not sure of what else the device has to offer. However, one thing is for sure, the name “Spark” does trigger our brain cells a bit.
TECNO has previously launched the Spark Pro which was one of its most successful devices. As per our analysis we are assuming that the Spark Go is an offshoot from the Spark Pro smartphone. If this is true then the Spark Go will give TECNO competitors a run for their money! The Spark Pro made incredible sales throughout the country and so a variant phone of its sort which is even cheaper will definitely make a big splash in the industry.
Overall TECNO’s Spark Go has definitely sparked everyone’s attention before its launch. We can’t wait to see it when it comes out this July.
