hamza ali abbasi and naimal khawar

August 28, 2019: Remember when news of Naimal Khawar Khan quitting her acting began circulating all over social media, right on the day of her mehendi?

Well, Naimal has finally broken silence over the rumors. Have a look at what she has said:

She further explained saying that the decision was entirely hers and she had taken it 9 months ago:

Well, we’re just glad that we took it as a rumor and not solid news.

Let us know what you think!

August 22, 2019: Hamza Ali Abbasi and Naimal’s wedding bells had just began to ring when we noticed a disturbing rumor making rounds on social media today.

It is being said that Naimal has already announced her retirement from her acting career to pursue art.

While many are busy calling out Hamza, as they believe he has probably asked her to quit acting, we decided to investigate.

Nowhere on her instagram account can we find this post (except for her tagged photos, instead), so we’re calling it a rumour.

Hamza Ali Abbasi Declared Himself as a Proud ISI Agent!

“I’m deliberately using this public attention to Me & Naimal getting married” – Hamza Ali Abbasi Responds to Haters

The news of Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi proposing to Naimal Khawar is taking the internet with storm since yesterday.

Naimal said yes and many have been celebrating their union since then. However, many have also been criticizing it, pointing out red flags in Hamza, and in general just showing worry and pity for his bride to be.

So Hamza decided to pen down a note in response to all the hate he has been receiving since the news of his upcoming wedding.

However, instead of shutting people down, his note seems to have stirred up a mixed reaction on his stance on marriage.

Many on social media are expressing disgust over Hamza Ali Abbasi, saying that it isn’t fair to ask someone for marriage just because getting married is a religious obligation.

While many are also defending him with all their heart.

However, the truth is that there will always be mixed reactions about anything and everything.

You cannot please everyone so it isn’t even worth trying. We wish the couple all the best for their future and wait to see if Naimal Khawar breaks her silence on the matter.

Jazz Wins Top Place for Fastest Internet Speed, Third Year in a Row

Jazz

Jazz, Pakistan’s leading digital communications company, has been conferred the Speedtest Awards™ by Ookla®, for the third consecutive time.

The results were announced after Ookla compared user-initiated tests taken on the Speedtest iOS and Android mobile apps from all major mobile operators in Pakistan during Q1-Q2 2019. The award marks a major achievement for Jazz for staying significantly ahead of its competitor telecom networks.

In the test, Jazz achieved a Speed Score™ of 14.97, with average speeds of 15.95 Mbps for download and 11.60 MBPS for upload. This Speed Score of 14.97 is significantly higher than other competing networks during Q1-Q2 2019.

CEO of Jazz, Aamir Ibrahim said on the occasion, “It is an honor to receive the Speedtest Award for the third time in a row. Jazz has cemented its position in mobile broadband performance and remains committed to delivering the best service to its customers through the country’s largest spectrum holding and superior network.”

“With millions of tests taken using Speedtest every day, Ookla has developed a robust and comprehensive view of worldwide internet performance. It is our pleasure to recognize Jazz as the fastest mobile network in Pakistan based on our rigorous analysis. This award is a testament to Jazz’s exceptional performance, as experienced by their own customers,” said Jamie Steven, Executive Vice President of Ookla.

#SayNoToPlastic: Administration Invites Beggars, Transgender Persons to Sell Cloth, Paper Bags

The government seems to be finally taking responsibility of the pollution Pakistan spreads as a country.

Not only that, but measures are also being taken to bring abut a lifestyle change in the way Pakistanis use and dispose off anything especially plastic.

Recently, according to Dawn, the administration of Islamabad invited beggars and transgender persons to join the #SayNoToPlastic movement by selling cloth and paper bags in the city.

They have been assured by the administration that all possible assistance will be provided to them with regards to setting up sale points in areas of their own choice.

Not only is this a great initiative for the environment, but it is also a major, admirable step towards a more inclusive Pakistan.

August 21, 2019: There has been a lot of emphasis on the harmful effects of plastic recently.

In a meeting presided by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah earlier this month, the Government of Sindh imposed a ban on the use of polythene shopping bags in Karachi once again.

The ban will be enforced under Section 144 from October 1st, 2019.

However, little has been done to provide consumers with solutions as to what they should use instead of plastic.

We have found out that the popular Imtiaz Super Market(Defence) has joined the #SayNoToPlastic movement in a way that is smarter than most:

They have taken the initiative to sell paper bags instead of plastic bags on consumer demand, and are hopeful that this small step will help fight environmental pollution on a larger scale.

Well, a supermarket really is the best place for this change to start, as one of the most common uses of plastic is for shopping purposes. It is also great to see other brands adopting the #NoPlastic trend and in doing so, ensuring that a major lifestyle change occurs in their consumers.

Sapphire, a popular clothing brand also pleasantly surprised us this eid with their #LittleByLittle campaign.

They are now making shopping totes with leftover, repurposed fabric. Th bags are multi-purpose so they can be used to carry grocery, lunch, and practically anything.

The brands are slowly beginning to play their part, but let’s not forget it is the duty of every individual inhabiting the planet to save the planet. It is essential that we understand our responsibility of using environment friendly and recyclable products and disposing off waste in a manner that does not harm the environment.

Apple TV+ is Ready to Compete with Netflix & Amazon Prime

apple tv plus
Netflix and Chill has been a major part of the millenials’ pop culture. Many media-services providers have come and gone, but the popularity of Netflix remains unmatched.

However, with plans to introduce the Apple TV+ movie and TV subscription service by November 2019 in more than 150 countries, the iphone maker, Apple Inc. is set to give competition to Netflix!

In its initial stage, the company plans to introduce a selected collection of shows and then expand its catalog. You can also, most likely, expect a free trial period.

Strategy wise, Apple is considering to offer the first 3 episodes of some shows, followed by weekly installments, instead of releasing complete seasons that viewers tend to binge watch.

Pakistani Man James Bilal Khalid Caan Claims to be the Founder of Bitcoin!

Bilal Khalid

Bilal Khalid, a Pakistani man living in the United Kingdom has claimed to be the founder of the popular cryptocurrency Bitcoin.

Before everyone had assumed that the creator of Bitcoin is Satoshi Nakamoto, however, no one knows what Nakamoto looks like and if it is a real name or an alias.

Not only has Nakatomo created and founded Bitcoin, he/she also has a HUGE reserve of coins believed to be valued at $10 billion.

Bilal was a resident of Rawalpindi and has legally changed his name to James Caan as per a domain registry shared by him for theBCCI.net.

He has studied from Al-Khair University in Pakistan and has taken many courses from renowned universities including Yale, Duke, and the University of California-Irvine.

The reveal blogs are very extensive and share information as to how he created bitcoin using blockchain. According to the blog, he had 980,000 Bitcoins which as of right now are worth 10,037,062,000.00 USD.

If he still had all of the coins, it would have made him the richest Paksitani in the world. He claims to have regretted giving up on the cryptocurrency.

On December 17, 2017, Bitcoin reached its historical peak value of $19,783.06, meaning my 980,000 bitcoins would have been worth more than $19 billion – $19,387,398,800 to be precise.

To this day, the memory of recalling all this information is very painful. I could not forgive myself all these years. Now, the very reason I left Bitcoin is the reason for my comeback as I have accepted the truth and will try to make Bitcoin better.

Bitcoin Halal or Haram: Islamic Scholar Finally Breaks Silence!

The satoshinrh.com blog also reads about Agha Hasan Abedi, founder of United Bank Limited (UBL).

It all began in my childhood when I heard stories from my father about Agha Hasan Abedi, who founded United Bank Limited (UBL) in 1959. My father was a banker himself who worked at UBL for 27 years.

He told me about how Abedi changed the banking industry forever. When Pakistan nationalised banking in 1972, Abedi founded the Bank of Credit and Commerce International (BCCI). At one time, BCCI was the world’s seventh-largest bank.

More than 1 million investors were affected when the Bank of England closed down BCCI in 1991 because of money laundering, bribery, smuggling, and related scandals.

I learned how unfair BCCI’s demise had actually been and that its ending had been in the hands of brutal and dirty corporate world policies and general underhanded politics.

Later in life, I realized there were some individuals within BCCI whose malfunctioned practices brought the whole bank down.

TikTok’s New Hashtag Challenge Plus Now Offers In-App Purchases!

He further shares why he selected Satoshi Nakamoto as his alias name.

At the time I created my alias Satoshi Nakamoto, I was paranoid of my real name as I thought it was synonymous with bad luck.

For example, the university I enrolled in to complete my master’s ended up having government accreditation issues.

I felt more fortunate with my nickname at home, which was Shaikho. It was derived from Mughal Emperor Jahangir’s nickname Shekhu that was given to him by his mother, wife of Akbar the Great.

In 1607, Jahangir founded what is now the city of Shekhupura in the Pakistani province of Punjab. Different spellings of the same name occur when variations are created in translations among languages.

At last, under the heading of Fulfilling my Promises, he writes:

I am from Pakistan.  I reside in the UK.  I have never resided in the U.S.

I was graduated from Al-Khair University in Pakistan. I took online courses from Yale in financial management, from Duke in behavioral finance, and from the University of California-Irvine in project management.

My birth name is Bilal Khalid.  I used that name to register the domain name theBCCI.net on the 18th of November 2008.  I’ve since changed my legal forename and surname to James Caan.

I updated my name on the domain registration of theBCCI.net since only the owner of the domain can make such a change.  But it is impossible for anyone to change the domain name itself or the date on which it was registered.

Bitcoin

He ends the note with the following; “My full legal name is James Bilal Khalid Caan. But I will forever be known as Satoshi Nakamoto.”

Hassan is the fourth Pakistani cricketer to marry an Indian girl. Former Pakistani skipper Shoaib Malik has tied the knot with ace-tennis player Sania Mirza back in 2010.

Mohsin Khan has also tied the knot with actress Reena Roy in 1983, while Zaheer Abbas married Rita Luthra in the 1980s.

Unfortunately, not all cricketers were able to attend his wedding due to their schedule. However, in a previous interview with the press, he shared that the couple will hold a walima after their honeymoon in Pakistan.

We wish the newly married couple the best of wishes and a happy journey.

Borgward BX5 SUV Spotted in Lahore!

Borgward BX5 SUV

A Borgward BX5 was spotted on the streets of Lahore. The right-hand drive is said to have been imported by a private company.

Recalling to a few months ago, Sazgar Autos had planned to introduce a range of vehicles from SUVs to others by mid-2019.

It is unsure for now but Sazgar Autos could be the private company behind importing the SUV. The automotive manufacturer had received the Category A- Greenfield Investment Status under the Auto Policy 2016-21 in March 2018.

#Kashmir: Star from Bollywood Movie Dangal Goes MIA After Article 370 is Revoked!

As Occupied Kashmir continues to be under lockdown since August 5th as a result of the Indian government revoking its special status, tension between India and Pakistan continues to grow.

Occupied Kashmir is in a sorry state, but what makes it worse is the stance of many celebrities and influential personalities under the guise of patriotism.

Case in point: Priyanka Chopra and her recent condescending behavior at BeautyCon.

Mehwish Hayat Proves Why She Deserved the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz!

However, just because a number of celebrities have similarly spewed and hate on the sensitive issue, does not by any chance mean that nobody from India has a more humane, sensible stance on the matter.

Not more than two days ago, Indian filmmaker Shonali Bose took to her Instagram account to express her sheer dismay at India’s move to revoke Article 370. Shonali’s upcoming movie, The Sky is Pink stars Kashmiri actress Zaira Wasim, who also had a major role in Amir Khan’s stellar Bollywood movie Dangal.

Not only she deliver a breathtakingly excellent performance in Dangal, but she also received great support and love from Amir Khan off screen on a political matter. So much so that the legend called Zaira his role model.

Before Dangal, the then 18-year-old had starred in Amir Khan’s Secret Superstar, which rose her to fame.

Coming back to the Kashmir issue, the starlet has been out of contact and reach and it is greatly worrisome for Shonali.

Here is what the filmmaker wrote:

“It has been two weeks since the unprecedented communication blockade of Jammu and Kashmir. My heart is heavy as the sky is dark over India’s democracy right now.

My heart has always ached for the terrible human rights violations in the Valley — right from the times of the Congress government in the 90’s.”

Have a look at her entire post:

#NotmyIndia. It has been two weeks since the unprecedented communication blockade of Jammu and Kashmir. My heart is heavy as the sky is dark over India’s democracy right now. My heart has always ached for the terrible human rights violations in the Valley – right from the times of the Congress government in the 90’s. The disappearances and killing of innocent youth is not new. Nor is the opening of fire on demonstrations. But this government has crossed every line with it’s draconian measures. I want to ask every Indian – every Bengali, Maharashtrian, Gujarati, Tamilian et al – how would you feel if your State was split overnight and converted into a Union Territory? Leave Article 370 aside for a moment and answer that honestly. For me the shock and anger at this unconstitutional act is laced with sorrow at how our own people must be feeling in this part of our country. Feelings we can only imagine – as there is still a blackout! On a personal level I have never known anyone before in the State. But now I have a child there. Zaira Wasim – the heart and soul of The Sky is Pink. I have known her and her family over one year – spent marvelous times with them in both Srinagar and Jammu. I was with them in Jammu just a day before this happened. Zaira was very worried that something terrible was afoot because of the sudden influx of massive troops. I reassured her not dreaming something so draconian and unprecedented could be carried out. And since then I’m besides myself with worry at not being able to reach her. To give her strength at this difficult time. To wish them Eid Mubarak. I’m sure they couldn’t celebrate it. We parted with the promise to stay in touch every day. Echoing a promise she and her brother make to each other in the film in a brilliantly acted and moving scene. But I can’t reach my baby right now. #NotmyIndia

A post shared by Shonali Bose (@shonalibose_) on

Zaira is a Kashmiri star, so her disappearance has at least been noticed and is being talked about. It is only more scary to think of the thousands of people who have been victims of the blackout and other tortures that have followed.

However, it is encouraging to see stars speaking up on the Kashmir issue and bringing it to light in whatever capacity they are able to.

Irfan Junejo Breaks Silence After Facing Major Bullying for Not Making a Vlog on Kashmir Issue

irfan junejo

Recently the Kashmir issue and the tension it has created between India and Pakistan is all over social media.

While every Tom, Dick and Harry has an opinion to offer on the political matter, a huge number of people also urged influential personalities to speak up on and support the cause.

The same kind of hateful persuasion was directed towards one of Pakistan’s most popular YouTubers, Irfan Junejo, and so began the Cancel Culture.

Thousands of people were of the opinion that Irfan hadn’t spoken up because he was afraid of losing Indian followers, while others thought that he just didn’t want to get into something that did not benefit him financially.

Many also opined that Junejo had been silent out of sheer ignorance, and hence many unsubscribed his channel for the same.

After a lot of bullying and pestering over the past week, the YouTuber finally decided to make a vlog about why he had not been speaking up on the matter in a video.

Some social media users remarked about how #IrfanJunejo had been trending on Twitter instead of #Kashmir, which only shows what is of more importance to Pakistanis, the actual issue or the matter of some people not talking about it.

Moreover, many people also highlighted that out of all the people in Pakistan who have been silent on the issue, Pakistanis have chosen to criticize Irfan for staying shut.

Here is Irfan’s video:

In the video, Irfan clearly elaborated on the following points:

  • He had made the mistake of making videos on religious and political matters and regretted it to the extent that he vowed not to do the same again.
  • He prefers speaking out openly on social issues instead.
  • If he had made a YouTube video on Kashmir, it would easily earn him 300-400 USD, and he did not want to ‘commodify’ on the issue.
  • He has been severely bullied for not speaking up on the Kashmir issue, and he is not going to let anyone bully him into speaking up on something he does not personally want to.
  • Just because he did not make a vlog about something, does not mean he does not care about the issue.
  • He deeply cares about the Kashmir issue and after being certain of his stance on it, he has been Retweeting and reposting the content he agrees with.

While there have been too many people abusing and bullying him, he has also received support from fans and followers.

Jazz’s Chief Executive Officer, Aamir Ibrahim, recently visited the Tech Valley Durshal in Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to explore further collaboration opportunities between the National Incubation Center’s Jazz xlr8 program and Durshal, a joint venture of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB).

Since 2017, Jazz has embarked on a journey to digitalize Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has been proliferating the benefits of connectivity and digital enablement under its ‘Make Your Mark’ program by empowering youth through technology and Digital Skills & Literacy.

The main objective of this visit was to meet and interact with startups, various policymakers, and seek prospective alliances within the tourism sector.

Jazz, the country’s leading digital communications company, has always strived towards making Pakistan a better country for its people as well as others who wish to visit it, which is why it is working hard to collaborate and strengthen ties between itself and various other sectors of the country.

Aamir Ibrahim was introduced to a number of Durshal Startups where possible synergies were discussed. The upcoming Tech Valley Conference 2020 and Tourism Hackathon at DYS19 Peshawar were also discussed.

Most of the consultations centered on startups already working in the tourism industry, what kind of value they offer to some of the already established names such as booking.com and Airbnb, and how Jazz can support the tourism sector through its continuous efforts to make a Digital Pakistan.

During his visit, Aamir Ibrahim also met with notable dignitaries to discuss opportunities within the tourism sector.

Aamir said, “Pakistan is home to some of the most picturesque landscapes; however, tourism facilities from a tourist’s perspective need support and development. We are excited to play our part and help promote tourism across Pakistan to portray a positive image of the country globally. I am sure other organizations in Pakistan will also come forward whole-heartedly to support tourism in Pakistan.”

Aamir Ibrahim also met with Director General Galiyat Development Authority, General Manager of Careem, Mr. Shezad Jamal, Head of Department Tourism and Hospitality Department, Hazara University and the team behind Chkar, a startup with up to 2000 rooms and houses on board in Galiyat with a vision to expand all across KP and Pakistan. Apple Product Banned From Planes Over ‘Fire’ Concerns!

Apple

Flights have bid farewell to Apple‘s MacBook Pro due to the dangers of carrying the laptop on flights.

Reportedly, the 15-in device is a ticking bomb because of its lithium-ion battery, making it a potential fire hazard.

Flying onboard with devices equipped with li-on batteries are prone to catch fire due to the risk of battery damage. The FAA placed a ban over these devices to remind airlines that they should neither be carried in cargo or on-hand.

In a statement, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration said it was “aware of the recalled batteries that are used in some Apple MacBook Pro laptops” and that it has alerted major U.S. airlines about the recall.

However, the most tricky part is that it is very difficult for security to know whether or not the battery is recalled, replaced, or genuine and is good to fly. Thus, if you have a 15-in MacBook Pro and the authorities say it cannot go through, it will not.

Negative publicity for Apple would come at a cost. Previously, Samsung had been through this nightmare when their Note 7 phablets started to catch fire!
