Pakistanis Want To Ban Chughtai Lab As A Blood Report Goes Wrong

Unqualified personnel in any field can be harmful. However, there are some industries where not being qualified can be really disastrous. A case in point is the airline pilots’ issue. After a tragedy, it was revealed that many Pakistani pilots were unlicensed. But then again, this revelation came after the incident. Similar to that happened with regard to the medical industry, specifically Chughtai Lab.

The hashtag #BanChughtaiLab started trending on Twitter. As it turns out, there was carelessness regarding a case of blood transfusion. One might think it’s a non-issue, but when it comes to the medical field, nothing really is a non-issue. And the non-issues in medicine can lead to someone losing their life, so there is no vacancy for non-issue in this field.

Apparently, the patient named Kiran was supposed to receive a blood transfusion. According to the reports by Minhaj Lab, another laboratory, the patient had blood group B.

However, Chughtai Lab and SurgiMed Lab put the blood group as AB. as a result, the patient in the situation got the renal infection and ultimately kidney failure.

The whole of Twitter got infuriated at this and demanded that the lab be banned for this.

They also said that if, after charging extremely high prices, this will be the performance, where an unassuming person got an infection she was not even in the hospital for, then what is really happening in the world?

Others brought another point of view to the table. They said that instead of haphazardly banning the lab, the administration should be made better. Moreover, the government should take an active interest in their administration so such issues can be avoided in the future.

Accidents can happen anywhere, but knowing that the field of medicine requires everyone to be on their toes at all times, such a basic mistake is unimaginable. Not to mention what the patient and her family must be going through.

There are many rivalries in the technological domain. Every day, we see more and more brands taking part in battles of sorts. Whether it is a battle of advertisement or products, it can be seen everywhere. Apple had recently locked horns with Samsung over the new releases. However, where Apple refused to add a charger with iPhone 12, Samsung did the same with the S21.

Similarly, Facebook has had a rivalry going on with Apple. Apparently, there was a whole issue of privacy and how new policies are expected to affect the users. Now, it seems that there is an ongoing campaign by Intel against Apple! It seems that the company is in a battle with a tech company. Let us see what is really going on.

The New Mac Chip:

Apple took the world by storm when they revealed their new M14 chip. According to testing and statistics, it has quite a few interesting features. It is swift, efficient, and supports a plethora of tasks. Testing even showed how well people were able to play games on these chips. Built-in GPU and neural capabilities gave the chip an even higher number on the charts.

Then the introduction of the M1, within Mac computers, meant one thing for Apple. It showed that they no longer needed to use Intel chips to power their system. This may have hit Intel harder than expected, as they have now launched a campaign against Apple. This campaign shows Intel asking the audience to refrain from using Mac.

Intel Firing Up A Campaign:

They started by stating that Apple may not have that high of gaming capabilities. They then mention how ‘Rocket League’ is a game not featured on the Apple store. It seems like Intel is taking jabs at the company in quite a subtle manner. Then they pointed out another thing. They said that only Intel devices offer touch screen, stylus, and touchpad in one. This is yet another subtle jab in Apple’s direction.

Intel seems to be coming up with some interesting ways to fuel this Anti-Mac AD campaign. All this seems to be the start of this entire event. There have even been many comparison videos trying to put Intel chips above Apple’s M1.

Another War Has Broken Out:

As the title here suggests, it seems another war is at play now. This one is taking place between two of the greatest titans of the technological industry. Whether you’re an Apple fan or an Intel one, it might be time for you to pick aside. It can be either one but be careful, for the competition is fierce.

We hope the rivalry does not escalate too much as we expect a lot from both the companies. We know one thing for sure; Intel is catching quite many eyes due to this campaign. In the end, it boils down to the user whether they will turn towards Intel or Apple. Apple themselves have taken quite a rise, and so has the other company.

Several EVs Lost In Accident – MG Responds To The Event

With the number of automotive brands entering Pakistan, there is a lot of hype. Where we think that there were only a few brands within, many new have introduced themselves. You must be aware of Changan making its entry into the country.

Their new vehicle, going by the name of Alsvin, has been quite successful in its advent here. More and more people are now buying the car and its booking has completely run out. The vehicle promises extraordinary features with a premium feel to it.

Similarly, another brand, soon to come, is known by the name of BAIC. They became quite the hot topic in 2019 but got suppressed due to the whole pandemic situation. MG Motors is yet another one on a swift rise to the top. However, something related to MG has just happened!

MG Motors And History:

This is a company which is known for making absolutely robust and outstanding vehicles. They may not be out in the market as much as the rest of them, but they are known. It started off as an underdog in the race towards the combustion engine era. The British company, also known as Morris Garages, was later acquired by China.

Now they have gotten the Greenfield status to assemble cars in Pakistan. Two of the vehicles are currently the most known here. One of them is the MG HS, and the second is the MG ZS. The ZS variant is non-EV, though. The latest news states that a truck carrying MG vehicles has had an accident! How and what must have happened?!

A Recent EV Involved Accident:

The accident occurred near Daulatpur, Sindh, last week. Sources state that the car carrier lost seven of the SUVs transported across an area. At first, it was believed that 12 electric vehicles were lost. However, this news was later retarded false and rectified. They stated that it was not EVs but seven gasoline-powered vehicles.

While it can be seen that the vehicles were not EV, it is still a huge event. Brand new vehicles, involved in an accident, cannot be a light blow to the company. As a recent entry into Pakistan, they must have received quite a lot of damage on their end. We hope that they are able to recover from it. Pakistan has barely seen any action from MG, there is much to anticipate in terms of vehicle releases.

Further Developments:

We have yet to see the consequences that come about after this accident. Apart from the damages to the vehicle, there may be human casualties, and those are to be seen too. Additionally, there is a security risk added here also. The fallen cars can be salvaged for their parts or refurbished. These cars can then be sold on the market at much higher prices.

We hope that the company can increase its safety measures even more after this incident. After all, we don’t want to have a wrong end to a car brand that just started working here.

Federal Minister For IT Syed Amin Ul Haque Appointed As President Of STI Committee Of WBAF

ISLAMABAD: (15-2-2021) Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Syed Amin Ul Haque has been appointed as President of Global Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Committee of the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF), a sub-organization of G20 countries.

The WBAF selected Pakistan from 127 countries for the office of Committee’s President.
India was also in a queue to hold this important position. However, the position went to Pakistan.

The appointment of Syed Amin Ul Haque as President of Global Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Committee is based on his prominent role in the IT and Telecom sector in Pakistan.

The organization encourages and supports startups, SMEs, around the world. The organization also ensures practical steps to promote science, technology and innovation. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey and several other world leaders are the member of this organization.

Regarding his appointment as President of STI Committee, Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunications Syed Amin Ul Haque said that it’s an honor for Pakistan and I hope that it would pave way for Pakistan to become a technology hub in South Asia.

He said that under the commitment of the Prime Minister, Pakistani artisans will access to the international level while start-ups, small business entrepreneurs and companies will access to global investors.

He said that Pakistan’s IT, science, technology and telecommunication sectors will be open to the world, which will result in business development, foreign investment and employment opportunities in the country.

The Federal Minister said holding of a position of the President of STI Committee will greatly help in Pakistan’s access to foreign investors, multi-million dollar funds from all over the world, fulfilling the digital vision of Pakistan and the country’s economic stability.

Small businesses, technology companies, creative professionals and start-ups will have easier access to investors, while Pakistan has a great forum for branding around the world, he added.

It may be recalled that a high level team of the Ministry of IT has been working for several months to showcase Pakistani artisans, Startups and SMEs, all over the world and to encourage foreign investors to come to Pakistan. Contacts with the World Business Angel Investment Forum and the opening of its office in Pakistan are a link in this chain. A letter was also sent to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in this regard. As a result of these contacts, the World Business Angel Investment Forum offered to select Syed Amin Ul Haque, the Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunications, as the STI committee President. India was also in the queue for this position.

Karachi Police Arrests NADRA Official On Charges Of Harassment

Karachi Police has made the arrest of a NADRA (National Database & Registration Authority) official. The arrest is the result of a harassment case. It seems that multiple complaints have been made against the official. Following that, the police conducted a raid on the NADRA office in Karachi’s SITE area. The concerned individual was taken into custody.

The NADRA official works as a data entry operator, which automatically means he had easy access to the information submitted by Pakistani citizens. So what he would do allegedly is that he would extract the phone numbers of Pakistani women. And then he would call and harass them. The details of harassment included him sending obscene videos to the women on Whatsapp.

Karachi Police took immediate action

It is commendable that the police took immediate action and did not delay it because what happens typically in our society is that we start victim-blaming. But instead of delving and delaying justice, the Karachi police took instant action in direct relation to the Telegram (Amendment) Act instated by the National Assembly.

This is an important landmark considering in Pakistan. Women have to suffer harassment and not talk about it because no matter how much the Me Too movements initiate, women are still blamed for playing some sort of role in being harassed.

As stated in the Telegraph Act:

“Whoever attempts to commit any offense punishable under this Act shall be punished with the punishment herein provided for the offense.”

The Photowalk of Faqir Khana Museum became more fascinating when Mr. Faqir Syed Saif Uddin – the owner of the Museum delivered a thoughtful and knowledgeable lecture on History and Culture to the participants.

It is a private museum that contains over 20,000 objects and is the largest privately-owned museum in South Asia. It depicts the culture of the region. The participants got the chance to capture the landmark through the lens of ‘Photography King’ Camon 16. Camon 16 with the TAIVOS camera solution, is known for its six amazing photography functions. It provides multiple photography and video features to give a professional SLR touch to the captures.

After wandering through the Fakir Khana Museum, TECNO took its fans to its second destination, Botanical Garden Lahore. The Myth

The myth we all heard growing up was that if you swallow it, it remains in your stomach for 7 years before it is digested. That’s not true! Neither is the idea that a tree grows in your stomach after you swallow gum. What happens is that you grow a rubber elf inside.. Just kidding!

What’s The Truth?

One can occasionally forget to spit the gum out. Is it really that big of a deal? Doctors say otherwise. The truth is that yes, your body can not digest gum. However, it comes out intact in your stool. 

How Does It Work?

With standard food, three processes go to work in your body to turn food into fuel. The first is obvious: Chewing. Second is that saliva coats your food and lastly, the stomach acids turn any remaining food pieces into mush. This lets the food pass through the rest of the digestive tract easily.

However, gum plays by its own rules. As much as you chew it, gum doesn’t break up into smaller pieces nor does it become mush.

It’s important to know that today most gum today is made from natural or synthetic polymers. It’s nothing to worry about as it won’t make you sick but it does hit your stomach intact. Your stomach, however, is equipped to deal with foods that don’t digest like seeds.

The muscles of your digestive tract move it along and eventually flush it out of your system. 

Too Much Gum Is A Different Story

Those who are afraid should know gum does not stay in your body. However, having/swallowing too much of it is a different story. 

The more there is, the more difficult it is to process. This gum mass could potentially clog the digestive tract too. As a result, an intestinal blockage can be caused which can trigger stomach pain or constipation. 

Studies have also shown that chewing gum can actually relax you too!

Next time you unwrap a delicious piece of gum, don’t be too wary of swallowing it. However, be mindful of it just as you should be with everything else. Everything is best consumed in moderation. (Except for burgers maybe?)

Major Changes Reported In Visa Policy Of Pakistan

The Interior Ministry of Pakistan announced may have plans to announce some major changes in Pakistan’s visa policy. On Monday, Dunya news reported the changes even though there has been no formal announcement by the ministry itself. The news channel obtained some official documents that state the expected changes to go into effect soon.

The Changes In The Short-Term Visa Policy Of Pakistan:

As per Dunya News, Pakistan Missions will be issuing Short Term Medical Visa to facilitate matters of urgency that require immediate medical attention. This category’s visa type would be Single Entry, to cater to Individuals/Family/Attendant with the duration of up to three months within 48 hours after the visa applicant has submitted the required documents and requirement.

This visa type will not require security clearance since it is short-term and requires medical assistance; however, security agencies and law enforcement agencies like Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Intelligence Bureau (IB), and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) would be intimated to reduce security risk as per international and or internal predefined protocols.

Long-Term, Extended Term Visa For Applicants:

The changes would also affect the visa category for longer terms, which will be issued to Individuals, Families, or Attendants for up to one year. The applicants will have to arrive within 30 days after being given clearance by the relevant security agencies.

Further details reveal that the Pakistan Missions Abroad will also be receiving and approving requests and applications for entry-work visas for up to 3 months with the single-entry condition within 48 hours after the applicant fulfills the requisite documents requirements.

Even though we are yet to hear any formal announcement, it seems that the following visas have been initiated to make visa acquisition easy and convenient for people who want to cater to emergencies or intend to explore Pakistan or look for opportunities. If this becomes official, the 48 hours visa approval will make it one of Pakistan’s best visa processes.

Last year, Italy made it easier for Pakistanis to obtain a visa for work by making documentation requirements easier. Last year, there were rumors about Saudi Arabia offering Pakistani passport holders Visa-On-Arrival which may have been overshadowed by the pandemic that paralyzed the world and global traveling, economy, and trade in March 2020.

As the vaccine becomes familiar and we move towards normalcy, it seems that many countries would be encouraging visa issuance to promote their tourism, education, or business opportunities.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has finally released the official anthem for the sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL6). “Groove Mera” is composed by Xulfi and Adnan Dhool and features the inimitable vocals of Naseebo Lal, Aima Baig, and Young Stunners.

It’s this cocktail of voices and their styles that has made this contemporary fusion piece stand out. As is expected, as soon as the PSL anthem was released, it sent the internet into a frenzy!

Where Did Ali Zafar Come From?

Much of the reactions that made their way onto social media sites were of disappointment. People had questions and reservations, as is the case with almost everything! However, within this flurry of reactions, Ali Zafar started trending on social media out of nowhere.

The actor/singer was tagged – or rather spammed – by social media users who requested “bhai” to be “hazir”. 

Finding himself trending out of nowhere again, the star was astonished and rightfully scared. He took to Twitter and asked his fans whether he should be expecting some trouble.

All it had to take was this tweet for his fans and followers to come pouring in with requests. People started requesting him to make either his own version of the PSL 6 anthem or to produce another one. 

Ali Zafar enjoys a large fan following, and it is safe to say that he has become a household name in Pakistan. To that end, people simply objected to having a PSL anthem without his involvement! Many also came forth to mention his previous creations for PSL and their love for it.

Karachi’s Green Line Bus Service To Launch In August 2021

[Update]: The Green line bus service that was supposed to start in 2017 will now be launched by August of this year, 2021. The project had even witnessed the groundbreaking ceremony and would have covered Surjani Town all the way to Municipal Park, M.A.Jinnah Road. But it did not see the light of the day.

However, with the Karachi Transformation Plan picking momentum and Karachi becoming more aware of its rights, old projects have resumed, and new projects have been initiated.

Asad Umar, the Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, said that the prototype of the greenline bus service will be ready quite soon. Following that, the service will be fully operational sometime between July to August.

[February 26, 2016]: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif performed the groundbreaking for the Green Line Bus Rapid Transit System on Friday in Karachi. The Green Line Bus Service is the first-ever Rapid Transit System to be started by the federal government.

The Green Line Bus Rapid Transit System is a significant milestone to decongest and upgrade the overburdened transport infrastructure of Karachi; it will also reduce the travel time and cost for Karachi residents, PM House statement stated on Thursday.

The project will be completed in about a year. The Green Line Rapid Transit System would begin from Surjani Town and end at the Municipal Park M.A. Jinnah Road.

After its culmination, the corridor will be benefitting over 300,000 passengers every day. The approximate corridor cost is Rs. 16, 085 million. The federal government has also provided the overall funding.

Karachi Infrastructure Development Company Limited (KIDCL) has been amalgamated under the Board of directors, including project stakeholders, senior government functionaries, and technical directors to take independent responsibility for the project.

Upon his arrival at the PAF Faisal base, the PM was given a warm welcome by Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah. Chief Secretary, DG Sindh Rangers, the provincial home minister, and IG Sindh Police were also present at the base.

The Kalaam titled “Main Bhi Shaadi Karunga” By Hafiz Yasir Soharwardi was released just a few days before Valentine’s day, a day that is known for its red roses, balloons, and gifts amongst couples. In the video, which was released alongside the Kalaam, Yasir Soharwardi can be seen in a sherwani dressed as a South Asian groom, roaming inside a banquet hall with wedding decorations.

While the bride herself was mostly absent, the video alongside its recitation was more of a cry-for-help by Yasir Soharwardi, who is yet to find his soulmate, judging by the content he has released.

The main chorus of the Kalaam comprises Yasir Soharwardi featuring him praying to Allah and asking him for resources to get married. Whether or not the resources he was praying for are more materialistic things or not, or it was a search for a righteous spouse, was not made clear.

Internet Reacts To “Main Bhi Shaadi Karunga”

Soon after, the anthem went viral as its release was way too near Valentine’s day.

Even though there were many negative comments too, the naat khwaan who has had the experience of internet fame due to his “Confirm Jannati Hai” was probably used to it. He has also released a Behind-The-Scenes video on his Youtube, where he shares all his Vlogs and raw footage.

Yasir has been in the news in the past, too, for his unorthodox way of reciting Kalaams. He has been criticized, but it has been observed that his work brings smiles to the faces of those who are having a tough time.

I don’t get it. What’s the point? There’s no need to feel sad about your single life. You’re riding solo and that’s better than being in a terrible relationship!

3.  Watch The Notebook

How much do all of us really understand about self-driving cars? There must be a point where any of us reaches and says ‘Okay now what?’. It is a relatively new area of study and we are still beginning to grasp it. Some of the greatest minds behind them are currently hard at work.

He is the mind behind the self-driving technology being developed at the company. Self-driving cars derive a certain amount of information from the environment to function successfully.

They need to have visual and radar access to their surroundings so they may adjust appropriately. Volkswagen is also working on self-driving technology. Autonomous vehicles are becoming a part of its domain too.

The race towards the electric era is a fierce one and people cannot wait to see the competition within it. Tesla may be a front-runner but they aren’t the only ones now. Additionally, alternative energies are also emerging such as hydrogen cell technology used in the Boot.
