Your car may be more vulnerable than you may think! There are chances of it being scratched everywhere. While standing in the parking lot, at home, in the garage, the opportunities are endless.

To be very honest, you can’t protect your car from getting scratched, not forever, at least. However, what you can do is get rid of the windshield scratches that have been haunting you!

It is essential to highlight here that scratched windshields are a severe health hazard. They can compromise a driver’s visibility, and if not replaced or fixed soon, the scratched keep growing.

Eventually, when they have grown big and have turned into cracks, they can burst at any given moment, which is why we are sharing six steps to remove scratch marks from your windshield with ease.

Step 1- Determine the Dept & Scratch Type

Known how long the scratch is essential, but what is even more important is the dept of it. You can use your fingernail to determine that.

Try running your nail over the scratch, if the fingernail does not get snagged, you have yourself a superficial scratch.

Such scratches are easy to remove with simple repairs. However, in the opposite case, you’ll be needing a professional approach to treat it. These scratches spread fast, deep, and can shatter anytime!

5 Habits You Should Avoid While Driving a Manual Car!

Step 2- Gather Materials

There is an entire process behind ridding windshields from scratches. You can purchase an auto glass repair kit from your mechanic and local auto shops. However, when purchasing the equipment, be sure that it has all the materials you will need, including a rubbing compound containing cerium oxide.

You can opt for other products as well if you do not find what you are looking for. You can replace it with an acrylic remover. For those who are on a severe budget, you can opt for non-gel toothpaste. However, you will need to reapply the solution on the scratches multiple times to make it work if you go for the pocket-friendly method.

Step 3- Preparing the Windshield

Now that you have your kit in place and you know what type of scratch you need to attend to, its time to prepare the windshield.

The first step is to wipe-off traces of dirt and debris. You can use a soft microfiber cloth to do so.

Then, use a car glass cleaner to give it a good wipe and let it dry. Do not use dish soap for this step; if you have do not have a filter, then you can mix dish soap with equal parts of water and distilled vinegar. An all-purpose cleaner will do the trick as well.

Once you are done, apply painter’s tape to the edges of the windshield to protect the car’s paint job from the splatters.

Step 4- Apply the Solution

Now that the windshield has been prepared, its time you apply the solution, but be sure to wear a pair of gloves before you get started. Rub the compound on the affected area. Be sure to spread it properly using a microfiber cloth using a very gentle hand. Wipe away any excess mixture.

Step 5- Let the Compound Dry

Allow the rubbing compound to take its time to dry. Once it has, remove the painter’s tape and wash the windshield, and once again, wipe it with a microfiber cloth.

Step 6- Reapply regularly

Rubbing compound wears off over time, which means you will have to repeat the same process in a loop to prevent the scratch from growing over time.

First Episode Of Dirilis: Ertugrul Beats The Viewership Of Mere Paas Tum Ho

Dirilis: Ertugrul Beats The 20 Million Viewership Of Mere Paas Tum Ho In Two Weeks

We have noticed a sudden rise in the viewership of Pakistani dramas. There was a time when only our elderly used to watch them, but now, it seems like the youth is also hooked to our new and upcoming Pakistani drama serials.

Pakistan entertainment has no doubt progressed over the years, and it’s safe to say that most of the drama serials have exciting storylines and meaningful content. Nowadays, these dramas are not only being watched for the sake of killing time but also to learn from them.

Dirilis: Ertugrul Beats The 20 Million Pakistani Viewership

However, Pakistanis are recently obsessed with the Turkish series Dirilis Ertugrul which has just started airing in Pakistan. The series has taken the internet by storm, and people are hooked to its storyline as it is based on Islamic history. Moreover, the viewers have also become great fans of the Turkish cast.

The Shahab

Furthermore, the response this series has received is phenomenal! The series has started to air on Pakistani National TV, and YouTube channel, and the views are ground-breaking already! The show’s first episode garnered 20 million views in just two weeks!

That’s more views than what the first episode of Meray Paas Tum Ho has received ever since it aired until now. However, Meray Paas Tum Ho is a locally produced drama whereas, Dirilis: Ertugrul is Turkish.

Meray Paas Tum Ho was severely criticized because of its misogynistic writing and still managed to get record-breaking views. It was written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, who seemed to have discredited women a little too much but overshadowed it by smart marketing tactics.

Speaking of the views of both drama serials and the views they got on YouTube, here’s what you need to check out!

A comparison of both the drama series  – 20 Million Views!

The screenshot was shared by many on Twitter as the news went viral.

Are you watching the Turkish series? What are your thoughts about it? Do you think we should be allowed to air more of such meaningful international series on our local TV channels? Let us know all about it in the comment below.

10 Unbelievable Space Images That Are Actually Real

10 Unbelievable Space Images That Are Actually Real

An astronaut floats untethered in space. The sun smiles with a Halloween grin. A camera on the space station sees a single airplane below. These are all space-related images that border on the unreal, but no Photoshop or CGI was used to create them. Space is that crazy.

Even in the age of Photoshop, we can sometimes believe our eyes. Check out these spectacular space photos that look magical without being made-up.

View these images below:

1. Moon in front of the Earth

There’s a camera on NASA’s Deep Space Climate Observatory satellite that sits a million miles away from Earth. In 2015, it looked back at its home planet and captured a series of images showing the “dark side” of the moon as it passed between the camera and Earth. It’s an almost startling perspective from a satellite that has a primary mission of monitoring solar winds

2. The space station and space shuttle

A person took this image. Look closely. You can see the International Space Station with the Space Shuttle Endeavour attached on the left side. So if both the ISS and the shuttle are in the image, then who took the photo? The answer is European Space Agency astronaut Paolo Nespoli. He was onboard a Soyuz TMA-20 that undocked from the station in 2011 to carry a crew of astronauts back to Earth. That gave Nespoli the freedom to snap this spectacular, unreal image.

3. Jack-o’-lantern sun

It looks like a prankster got loose over at NASA, but this image of a freaky smiling face on the sun is just a fortunate coincidence. It comes from the Solar Dynamics Observatory, which imaged the sun in early October 2014 and caught it looking like a carved Halloween pumpkin.

The SDO sees things a bit differently than the human eye. The image blends two sets of wavelengths to create the orange glow. The facial features are active regions of greater light and energy.

4. Alone in space

This isn’t a scene from the 2013 Sandra Bullock and George Clooney space thriller “Gravity.” This is a photo of NASA astronaut Bruce McCandlessroaming free in space after leaving the Space Shuttle Challenger. McCandless’ adventure in 1984 was made possible by a nitrogen jetpack called the Manned Maneuvering Unit. He maxed out at 320 feet away from the Challenger and made it back safely.

5. Amazing aurora

Auroras are a fascinating phenomenon involving swirling lights. When viewed from Earth, they light up the night sky and might make you think magical fairies exist. This image from the crew of Expedition 32 onboard the International Space Station in 2012 looks like the product of an artist’s imagination, but it’s real.

The piece of equipment in the center is a mechanical arm attached to the space station. These spectacular light shows are one of the perks of being an astronaut on the ISS.

6. Earthrise

There will always be a specific subset of people who don’t believe humanity managed to reach the moon. Those people will doubt the veracity of this image, showing an Earthrise from the perspective of the Apollo 8 mission in 1968.

Apollo 8 was the first human-crewed mission to the moon. The view from there inspired command module pilot Jim Lovell to share this sentiment: “The vast loneliness is awe-inspiring, and it makes you realize just what you have back there on Earth.”

7. Spot the airplane

This image isn’t fake, it’s just really, really lucky. An astronaut aboard the space station in 2015looked down at Great Exuma Island in the Bahamas and snapped a picture of the jewel. The photo just so happens to also show an airplane with white contrails streaming out behind.

“Thanks to the astronaut’s steady hands in controlling a long lens in weightlessness, this photograph is detailed enough to show a single aircraft and its twin condensation trails,” NASA notes.

8. Death Star near Saturn

No, George Lucas isn’t laughing. That’s not the Death Star hanging around with Saturn’s rings in the background. It’s Saturn’s moon Mimas, which just so happens to have an 80-mile-wide (130 kilometers) crater called Herschel that looks an awful lot like the Death Star’s super laser focus lens. NASA’s Cassini spacecraft took this scenic shot of Mimas in 2005 as the sun lit up the crater.

9. Space station transits the moon

It would be easy to open Photoshop, take a fantastic image of the moon and add the silhouette of the International Space Station to it, but that’s not what NASA photographer Bill Ingalls did. He went the hard way of patiently calculating what it would take to capture the ISS in transit across the moon and then carefully pulled off the rare feat. Look for the tiny “Z”-shaped dark spot near the upper right-center.

Ingalls took the challenging shot last summer, not long after Australian astrophotographer Dylan O’Donnell captured the ISS in front of a full moon.

10. Red Rectangle in space

Space isn’t big on squares. There are lots of round planets and stars. Some nebulae spread out in cloudy lumps. What we don’t see are a lot of straight lines. That why space fans are fascinated by the Red Rectangle, a dying star with an unusual signature. This Hubble image from 2007 uses wavelengths of red light to highlight the gas emissions reaching out into the corners of a rectangle.

“The X-shape revealed in this image suggests that something is preventing the uniform expansion of the star’s atmosphere. Instead, a thick disc of dust probably surrounds the star, funneling the outflow into two wide cones. The edges of these show up as the diagonal lines,” explains the European Space Agency.

Bonus image: Startling blue in a field of white

Taken out of context, this image is perplexing. There’s an almost supernaturally blue blob in the middle of an area of white. What you see here is the Arctic in summer. The white is snow, and the blue splotch is a melt pond, as seen from a camera on NASA’s ER-2 airplane. The lake was located on top of an Alaskan glacier when the photo was taken in 2014.

This may not have been taken from space, but NASA research scientists use the ER-2 flies at about twice as high as commercial jets and the data it gathers.

The concept of having virtual avatars of oneself may sound silly to many. However, over the years, they have become a popular channel of self-expression and a means of fun and entertainment among family and friends.

These avatars let you explore a whole new dimension with the ability to customize their hair, outfits, and being able to choose their tone of communication. From jumping in excitement to shedding pools of tears, and even making a boring long text short and funny, these avatars can do a lot.

Moreover, a lot of people enjoy being able to have the power to be able to control their appearances and experiment with bold choices which they may be unable to do so in real life.

On the other hand, tech-giant Apple even introduced Animoji on their iPhone. Animoji is Apple’s version of Snapchat’s Bitmoji or Samsung’s AR Emoji. Other tech companies like Huawei have been keen on introducing VR and AR features to their mid-range phones as the demand is increasing.

It wouldn’t be a surprise anymore if meeting in the future would be held in a virtual conference room where each individual partakes using their avatar, which would be accessible for individuals all around the globe.

5 Easy Recipes For Those Pesky Midnight Cravings You Need to Try

5 Easy Recipes For Those Pesky Midnight Cravings You Need to Try

Unless you are one of those organized people who sleep early and wake up on time, you have fallen victim to those pesky midnight cravings. Don’t worry; you are not alone. We, too, stay up way past our bedtime to watch a movie or catch up on our shows. And of course, the tummy protests and tells us how good something crunchy would taste at that exact moment.

easy recipes

Once you have successfully sneaked past your parents’ bedroom and entered the kitchen, the game begins. Dinner leftovers are not an option. The first rule of midnight snacking is that it must be made on the spot. A microwave is your best friend for making some easy recipes. We recommend closing the kitchen door to block the beeping sound from attracting unwanted attention.

If your mum loves you too much and knows of your midnight snacking habits, she will have stocked the freezer with lots of frozen food items like nuggets or fries. If not, don’t get disheartened. Just go through the pantry and analyze what ingredients available and get to work.

Nutella mug cake

If the gods of midnight snacking are smiling down upon you, you will find some Nutella in the fridge. You have just hit the jackpot! Use this easy recipe to make a mug cake in a few minutes. You only need two other ingredients, an egg, and some flour. Word of advice: this can either turn out to be the best snack of your life or become a spongy, cakey mess. Attempt only if you aren’t prone to violent outbursts. Our attempt was not so successful.

Nutella Tart

This is a tried, tested, and highly successful recipe of our creation. This, too, does not require too much effort but does need some patience. Mix Nutella with some cream, add a pinch of salt, and pour the chocolatey goodness on a bed of crushed biscuits. We used saltish for a balance between sweet and salty. Now the patience, we had to keep it in the fridge for it to set. You, however, don’t have to wait. Just mix the biscuits with the Nutella cream mixture and enjoy!

French Toast in a mug

Midnight snacking is not supposed to be messy, so if it’s a french toast you crave, here is an easy way to make it without getting the hands dirty! You can swap the syrup with sugar water or just beat sugar with the egg. Use a spoon if you don’t want mum yelling at you for dirtying too many utensils.

Instant Mac n’ cheese

If you’re craving something savory, this is a perfect option for you. It’s a straightforward recipe, and you have plenty of room to add your personal touch. Chop up some mushrooms, olives, bits of chicken if you have some leftover from dinner and add to it. You have a good serving of Mac n’ Cheese ready in minutes!

Bread Pizza

Pizza cravings can develop anytime, anywhere. This bread pizza recipe won’t satisfy it entirely, but it comes quite close. You don’t have to use all the ingredients used in this video. Just go with whatever you like or have available.

All these recipes are easy to make and don’t require too much effort. Try them out and let us know how it goes.

All Karachi Tajir Ittehad Chairman, Atiq Mir in a conversation with Geo News, said the traders were responsible for following the SOPs, which were not implemented.

“We had promised the authorities that the guidelines we be implemented, but this was not done. The shopkeepers themselves are to blame for this.”

21st March 2020: The number of patients rises in Karachi as COVID19 rapidly spreads amongst the masses.

Several people were visible on the streets of Karachi early Saturday morning, despite an appeal by the Sindh government to stay indoors and self-isolate for the next three days.

Buses filled with people, the usual traffic on the roads, and roadside hotels full of people were witnessed despite pleas by the authorities to self-isolate.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, on Friday, said Pakistan could not afford to implement nationwide Lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the country.

He said,

“Lockdown means a curfew-like situation, which will create unrest in the country, and we cannot afford that. It would make poor people more vulnerable.”

However, now that there’s a rise in cases of COVID 19, people are encouraging PM Imran Khan to opt for a complete lockdown of the country to avoid any further incidents.

We agree that the wage workers will suffer from such a drastic event, but precaution is better than cure. There are certainly living stake, and the government needs to take action and provide aid to the wage workers.

Here’s how Twitter demanding a complete lockdown:

Shaniera Akram

Aseefa B Zardari

People are demanding a complete lockdown as soon as possible.

Some are saying that we can’t risk the lives of 70% of the people for 30% who will get aid.

Ali Zafar encourages a lockdown, as mentioned in the current situation in the country.

What’s your take on this?

Furthermore, Pakistan also reported its third COVID-19 death, and the total number of confirmed cases rose to 464.

The third death was reported in the country’s biggest city Karachi, the capital of Southern Sindh province, which has reported the highest number of coronavirus cases in the country.

It’s better to stay safe in a lockdown rather than risking the lives of many.

6 Ways You Can Enjoy Ramadan At Home In Full Spirit Amidst COVID-19

The holy month of Ramadan is upon us, but this time around, the situation is quite different due to the lockdown. Muslims around the world are going to be spending Ramadan indoors to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. That means there would be no Taraweeh prayers at the mosque, no family visits, no iftar parties, and no volunteering on the ground for the community.

It is a strange time, but it is still a blessed month and can be celebrated in full spirits at home too!

Here are 6 Ways you enjoy Ramadan at Home in Full Spirit:

1. Decorate Your Home

Get your home ready for Ramadan. Put up some Ramadan decor such as a banner, some buntings, and balloons. Including the children will help them get excited about the month’s festivities.

2. Make a Ramadan Schedule

Since you’re just going to be at home the entire month, making a Ramadan schedule will help you prioritize and divide your time amongst chores effectively and maintain some normality.

3. Connect to the Quran as a Family

Since everyone is quarantined at home, this Ramadan, connect to the Quran in a new way. Perhaps the family can have live virtual Quran sessions and read the Quran together. There are various hadith sharing sessions available too that can be enjoyed as a family.

4. Eat your Heart Out

Although we wouldn’t be attending any iftar parties this year, making your favorite dishes at iftar and suhoor will get your spirits up! Furthermore, just like video meetings and virtual classes have become prevalent, you could also have a virtual iftar party with your loved ones.

5. Set Some Goals

Set a few realistic goals for Ramadan that you will be able to achieve at the end of the month; for example, you could decide on memorizing five surahs from the Quran this year.

6. Focus on Self-Care

During the lockdown, we must establish good self-care practices. This not only ensures that we’re happy and healthy but helps keep ourselves motivated and productive. Self-care can be anything that makes you comfortable and relaxed, a hot bath, a workout, or a meditation session.

Hajj & Umrah Will Become More Expensive Due To COVID-19 Outbreak

Since COVID-19 has taken a massive toll on the world, many people have suffered in the worst way possible. From staying far away from their families to losing their jobs; The novel coronavirus has undoubtedly proven to be disastrous.

Moreover, COVID-19 has become everyone’s worst nightmare, leaving a substantial impact on the economy. From businesses shutting down to downsizing, many companies are now struggling to survive this pandemic.

Speaking of which, Saudi Arabia has also been majorly affected by this global hit. Saudi Arabia was among the first few countries that had banned travel for anyone who wanted to travel to visit or perform Umrah. Later, the temporary ban to perform Umrah was also announced for Saudi citizens following a 24-hour country-wide curfew.

The impact on Hajj and Umrah

Just recently, Istanbul-based economic expert, Mohamed Ibrahim, said that the Saudi economy had been majorly affected especially due to the collapse of global crude oil prices. He also mentioned that these measures are being taken to curb the coronavirus outbreak.

Moreover, he further said that these steps would increase the cost of Umrah and Hajj and other things. He said,

“Saudi authorities may increase the Hajj and Umrah fees to help alleviate the severity of the country’s budget deficit.”

According to the official figures, the Kingdom earns a revenue of $12 billion on a per-year-basis on the accounts of pilgrimages. Moreover, they contribute nearly 20 percent to the non-oil GDP of the Kingdom, and almost 7 percent of the entire GDP.

Previously, Mohammad al-Jadaan, the finance minister of Saudi Arabia, said that the VAT rates would increase from 5 percent to 15 percent in July. He also highlighted that the Kingdom is heavily dependent on oil revenues. As the oil prices have collapsed to a greater extent, public revenues have been profoundly affected and have an increased budget deficit.

“The Saudi budget banks heavily on oil revenues, as the oil prices collapse greatly affected public revenues and led to a high budget deficit.”

What do you think about Saudi Arabia’s decision? Do you think the number of pilgrims would be affected because of the surge in the price? Let us know in the comments below.

Zameen’s Parent Company EMPG Acquires Lamudi Global, Enters Philippines, Indonesia & Mexico

DUBAI: EMPG, the parent company of Pakistan’s largest real estate portal Zameen and one of the leading digital classifieds groups in the MENA, South Asia and Southeast Asia regions, has announced its acquisition of Lamudi Global, which has businesses in Philippines, Indonesia and Mexico.

The group said the acquisition had taken place before its merger with OLX Group’s businesses in MENA and South Asia that raised EMPG’s valuation to $1 billion, which was announced last week. EMPG had also acquired Thailand’s top marketplace Kaidee in February, which – along with the Lamudi Global transaction – marks a strong push into Southeast Asia for the group.

EMPG owns and operates Bayut in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, Zameen in Pakistan, Bproperty.com in Bangladesh, and Mubawab in Morocco and Tunisia, alongside Kaidee. It now also owns and operates Dubizzle in the UAE, OLX Pakistan, OLX Egypt and OLX Lebanon, in addition to several other OLX platforms in the GCC.

Lamudi was founded in 2013 as an online property platform focused on emerging markets. Lamudi is currently a well-recognized brand and a well-established player in Philippines, Indonesia and Mexico. EMPG had already acquired Lamudi’s Middle East, Pakistan and Bangladesh businesses last year.

The combined total of real estate transactions in the Philippines, Indonesia and Mexico is estimated to be US $55.1 billion per year, with a potential commission pool of over US $2.3 billion for real estate professionals. The combined population of the three countries is just shy of half a billion people.

EMPG CEO Imran Ali Khan said, “We welcome the Lamudi Global teams to the EMPG family. They bring with them a lot of experience and domain knowledge, and we value the people who have been with the business since the beginning. We look forward to working with the team to continue growing the business, and EMPG will provide strategic, technological and financial support as needed.”

He added that the acquisition also signalled EMPG’s intent to focus on Southeast Asia in addition to its core regions.

“Our aim is to build a strong presence in the region with these acquisitions. Southeast Asia is a bustling, happening market with tremendous potential, and we look forward to providing the best experience to both professionals and consumers,” said Khan.

Kian Moini, CEO of Lamudi, said EMPG’s expansion into the region would raise the bar for online marketplaces.

“EMPG has built highly successful businesses in all of its geographies, and the group’s strategic depth and advanced tech are two major assets Lamudi looks forward to as we begin this next phase of our journey,” he said.

The transaction value was not disclosed.
