Success Story Of Bagallery

Bagallery was founded in 2017 with the vision to be the preferred fashion, beauty, and lifestyle shopping destination for women and men alike. The company has immense success with one of the best influencer networks in Pakistan and a very strong mix of the local and international brand portfolio.

Today, Bagallery is an emerging e-commerce platform with 2.7 million users and 500,000+ satisfied customers.  It is not an overnight success, a lot of struggle went into the platform for it to reach this stage. It all started with Mina clicking pictures of products from her phone and uploading them on Facebook. Mina was passionate about bags and makeup and used her passion to convert it into a career when she noticed a gap in the Pakistani market for branded products and used that opportunity to bridge the gap by selling authentic branded products in Pakistan sourced from UAE where she lives.

Later on, as the demand increased, Salman Sattar joined hands with Mina to help grow the platform. He was working as Director of Sales at Frieslandcampina Middle East at the time. Salman brought 15 years of his experience in the industry to this start-up, resulting in a change in the beauty and fashion industry and taking Bagallery up a notch.

Eventually, the business started to expand and it was next to impossible for Mina along with her husband, Salman, to manage it all on their own. They decided to expand and got onboard young talent to manage the business here in Pakistan, at the same time www.bagallery.com came into existence.

The start of the website came with a lot of technical difficulties especially due to the influx of orders they were receiving. Another challenge was the lack of funds to invest in a high-end website that is able to meet the needs of the customers. Mina and Salman took one step at a time to develop the website and their business. Fast forward to 2021 and after a lot of struggles and hard work later they were able to secure a funding of USD 4.5 million which changed the course of action. They have been able to invest in the betterment of the website alongside a team of young and highly motivated individuals who have been instrumental in the success of the company.

Bagallery has come a long way with a team of approximately 150+ individuals under the mentorship of Salman as he has been a coach for the team ever since the inception of Bagallery.

When Mina was asked about her definition of success as an individual. She said, “My definition of success is to reach out to the maximum number of women out there to guide them about real beauty and make them aware of self-care.” According to Salman, “I will consider myself truly successful when I am able to inspire other startups and motivate youngsters on their journey of becoming an entrepreneur.”

In March 2022, the co-founders along with the Bagallery team organized the first-of its-kind on-ground beauty and fashion expo, GlamFest’22 in Karachi. Over 500 brands such as Loreal, Unilever, Neutrogena, Remington, etcetera were a part of the event. The event had fashion shows, makeup masterclasses, influencer meetups, celebrity interactions, skin consultations, hairstyling, food stalls, concerts, and much more along with a smooth shopping experience. It was attended by more than 100,000 people, making this two-day event a huge success. After the success of GlamFest in Karachi, Bagallery arranged a similar exhibition in Lahore in June 2022.

As far as the platform, Bagallery is concerned, the united power of all the co-founders and the team is the reason behind the success of Bagallery and it does not stop here. They are constantly looking to reach new milestones by employing new strategies and continue to stay as the leader in the beauty and fashion industry of Pakistan.

Pakistani Shoe Brand In Hot Waters For Shamefully Disrespecting Books

A Pakistani shoe brand is not getting the kind of attention it thought it would with its latest campaign. In fact, they might have to retract the latest campaign despite the fact that there is no issue with their product. Is this a marketing ploy gone wrong or simply a senseless creative direction for a shoot? You decide:

Zelvo Trends

Zelvo trends is a footwear brand in Pakistan that operates online. The brand isn’t that visible yet but we have a feeling after this it will be very much. The brand’s campaign, the latest one, was put on KAMN, a Facebook group where all sorts of ads are discussed.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Zelvo Trends (@zelvotrends)

Why was it put there? Well, let’s just say someone or in fact, many people were not happy with the concept of the shoot. We don’t blame them, it is odd, to say the least.

Shoes on Books?

This concept has never been seen before truth be told. They perhaps took the ‘be creative and original’ memo to heart. So much so that they designed this whole campaign in which the models are just stepping on books or the shoes are just placed on books. The reason is also unknown because the books do nothing for the shoes.

If they simply wanted to elevate the shoes they could have put any other object. Call it our culture or whatever, we are always told to respect books. They are a form of knowledge. Some of our parents never even let us put the books on the floor, considering it a disrespect.

What Are People Saying?

People are of the same opinion that this kind of ad is a big miss. When creative directions are so random and also disrespectful, it makes the people distracted. They no longer focus on the product, whether it is good or not rather they start fixating on how the way the product is shown is not acceptable.

People discussed the same thing altogether in the comments. They were unsure about what was trying to be achieved here. The general consensus? This just might be to get attention.

realme C35 Brings Solid Quality With The TUV Rheinland High Reliability Certification

There are many things you can consider when purchasing a new smartphone: camera performance, display size, design, and many other aspects. However, the most weight in the decision should be given to the quality of the tech that you are purchasing. Purchasing new tech is an investment that is expected to be long-lasting. Performance issues and physical frailty can really dampen the experience of using your new smartphone. The realme brand comes with a long legacy of high-quality products. This is why the realme C35 comes with an internationally acclaimed TÜV Rheinland High-Reliability Certification which acts as an assurance for realme customers that the product they are about to purchase is durable and worth the investment.

TÜV is a German business consultancy which specializes in certifying compliance with various safety and qualification standards. With over 20,000 employees working in subsidiaries, laboratories, and testing centers across the world, TÜV Rheinland aims to ensure quality and safety for an increasing number of new products and technologies in more new markets. Certificates provided by the international testing body are accredited globally by a variety of national standards organizations. Currently, TÜV Rheinland has issued approximately 23,000 valid certificates for companies worldwide for quality management alone.

The process of getting a product or system certified by TÜV is fairly simple. Working together with TÜV the organization needs to get its product or system tested and audited. Once the product passes the inspection, a product certificate is issued which re-affirms the product has met the required safety and quality criteria. A test mark is also assigned by TÜV which can be used in corporate communication by the organization. Being the blueprint for smartphone quality, realme collaborated with TÜV Rheinland in order to create the Smartphone High-Reliability Certification.

TÜV Rheinland and realme worked together to create SOPs that would be used for testing and quality control across realme’s complete range of smartphones. This new certification soon became the quality standard benchmark for smartphone brands in major world markets. The process of gaining a TÜV Rheinland Smartphone High-Reliability Certification involves 23 major tests overall. 10 of these tests relate to daily use scenarios such as wear and tear or drop impact, 7 involve extreme environments such as extreme humidity, extreme temperature, or voltage fluctuation, and 6 tests assess the reliability of the system’s components. 1. Portrait Mode And Night Mode

You can take beautiful pictures with an iPhone’s front camera portrait mode. Yes, that selfie camera also has a portrait mode. However, you cannot zoom in or out of it so best move the camera instead. Additionally, taking photos in night mode in portrait can be useful in a poorly lit environment. Simply select the night mode feature on the camera and voila, portrait pictures with better lighting.

2. Adjusting Blur

Here is another feature that you might not have seen a lot. Portrait mode, basically, protrudes the person from the rest of the image. Then, the mode blurs the background to give a better effect. In iPhone portrait mode, you can adjust the amount of blur you want in the background. At times, it can be quite unpleasant to have too much blur so you can easily lessen it now.

3. Removing Portrait Mode

Sometimes, you may take a picture that you don’t want in Portrait mode. In such a case, you can always remove portrait mode from that picture. Simply go to the picture, select edit, and uncheck the yellow button. This can be quite a useful feature when you are unsure about what kind of picture you want. You can even save copies of either type, in case you change your mind.

4. Subject Eye

One of the most important parts of an image is the lighting and exposure to it.

Too much, and it looks painful to the eye.
Too less, then you can barely see anything in the image.

Similarly, there is a way to adjust exposure in this mode. All you have to do is click on the subject’s eye when you are holding the camera high. It will automatically adjust the exposure in accordance with the eye.

5. Editing Portrait Photos

You have an in-built editor on your iPhone. When you take a photo and wish to edit it, simply click on the “edit” button. This will open up a lot of features for you to alter and adjust. This varies from brightness to exposure, all the way up to tint and contrast. In portrait mode, you get two extra features. One of these is background blur and the second is portrait lighting.

6. The Perfect Frame

This mode works best when the subject is approximately between 2 – 8 feet away from the camera. It gives the best photographic results as well as quality. Additionally, this feature is made easier in an iPhone. If you are too far, it will ask you to come closer and vice versa. Check out this feature if you have an iPhone and wish to take amazing portrait mode pictures.

Savyour Launches #Notsosmall Initiative To Support Small/Medium Businesses

[Karachi, Jun 28, 2022]: Savyour, Pakistan’s first and largest cashback app, launched its #NotSoSmall initiative on the United Nation’s Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Day to extend additional support to the hundreds of small and medium businesses that are currently partnered with the platform. Through a week-long campaign, Savyour will be helping partner brands reach a wider audience through mentorship hours by business heads free of charge digital/in-app marketing and cashbacks upsurge to provide consumers with added incentive.

Since its launch in 2020, Savyour has been helping small and medium businesses from all over Pakistan grow, by providing them with a marketing channel that requires zero upfront investment and only charges them a commission for every sale made through the platform. For consumers, this enables them to discover lesser-known brands that have unique offerings at great price points. Till date, over 80% of the brands listed on Savyour fall under the small/medium business category.

The #NotSoSmall initiative has been launched as a long-term effort by the platform to give assistance to smaller businesses that may get hit harder by the current local and global economic conditions. Often referred to as ‘the backbone of our economies’, approximately 3.25 million SMEs account for nearly 90% of all the businesses operating in Pakistan. This sector holds nearly 40% of the country’s annual GDP.

Saad Gadit, Co-founder and Chief Product Officer, Savyour, said “MSMEs play a crucial role in any nation’s growth – not just for the economy, but also for the respective communities they serve. They are a part of several aspects of our day-to-day lives whether it’s through the consumers they cater to or the employment opportunities they create. When it comes to expansion in this day and age, technology can help bridge the gap for them and that’s where Savyour comes in. We had started off with a clear goal of empowering the smaller sized businesses of Pakistan, and this initiative is a reinforcement of our commitment. These are challenging times for enterprises, but we have immense respect for their resilience and by offering our support, we hope to play our part in enabling their success”.
