These Pakistani Actresses Are Bravely Speaking Against Harassment!

This year, the Golden Globes 2018 served as a powerful platform to raise voice against sexual harassment and abuse.

Hollywood’s biggest names responded and came forward with their own experiences about being sexually assaulted, harassed, or otherwise mistreated. Their main agenda was to bring awareness to the issue.

All the celebrities wore black dresses for the event in solidarity with the victims and even wore a pin that read ‘Time’s Up’.

Time’s Up movement is against sexual harassment founded this year in response to the Weinstein effect and #MeToo.

Joining their bandwagon, the uber-talented Mehwish Hayat took to social media to bring Pakistan to the infamous #timesup movement.

Just like all the other American celebrities who chose to wear black for this year’s event, Mehwish Hayat too posted a picture on social media following the dress code

#JusticeForZainab: Punjab Police Releases Sketch of the Murderer [Watch CCTV Footage]

Pakistan once again mourns the death of another daughter, 7-yr old Zainab belonging to Kasur.

She was abducted while on her way home from tuition 5 days ago. The little angel was brutally raped, murdered, and was left in a pile of trash. Passersby then called and informed the police about the body, which was then sent for autopsy.

CCTV footages of Zainab walking with a man has surfaced. Using the clippings as evidence, the Punjab Police department has released an official sketch of the rapist and killer who took away Zainab’s future.

The following footages have been shared of Zainab seen with her killer. However, the videos suggest that she probably knew the killer as she is walking with him, hand in hand, without asking for help.

Compatibility is a game of its own, it’s not easy to find the love of your life online, especially if you are planning to date someone you have not seen yet!

However, looks like then men in Pakistan are not out of luck just yet!

According to a survey conducted by an online leisure portal named WoGoal, women were observed and studied for 6 months. The survey was conducted using 60 countries, out of which, Pakistan ranked on 19th!

The portal used different aspects to evaluate women’s choices in the men they date. They also considered the time women took to respond, what the reply was, was there any reply at all, etc.

The reason behind the men’s luck is actually not surprising at all, turns out that Pakistani women are the 19th most communicative in the world at online forums!

Luckiest Men in Dating

While Pakistani men ranked 19th, Egyptians took the trophy home by becoming the luckiest men for online dating. Runner-ups were Indonesian and Nigerian men, while Indians ranked #10. South Africans also made the list at #13.

According to WoGoal rankings, the most difficult country for online dating was clearly Ireland as only 6 percent of the women replied to a message there. The survey also concluded that Pakistani women enjoy talking about politics and religion and rank on #8 worldwide!

Kodak Announces its Own Cryptocurrency Called ‘KODAKCoin’

If you thought CES 2018 would be all about phones and televisions, you were wrong my friend! Kodak, known for its cameras and photography related products just announced something major!

Kodak announced that the company its own cryptocurrency called KODAKCoin. The company is working with London-based Wenn Media Group to carry out the initial coin offering (ICO).

This partnership is a part of the blockchain-based initiative that helps photographers keep copyrights over their images. The company also has plans in the pipeline to install rows of Bitcoin mining rigs at its headquarters in Rochester, New York.

“This is a phenomenon we saw back during the dot-com days in the late 1990s where traditional companies would mention some kind of internet strategy and their stock price would jump up,” commented Garrick Hileman from the University of Cambridge.

“When you see stock prices moving like this it does appear to be troubling – it’s hard to say if there’s a bubble but it certainly is indicative of a frothy investment market.”

Kodak’s Fall & Rise

Kodak, although a well-known name in the world of photography was relatively slow to upgrade their products as the trends changed. The hesitation of the company dropped its value in the market as photographers switched to brands like Nikon and Canon. However, Kodak finally collapsed in 2012.

Since then, the company has focused on manufacturing batteries, printers, drones, tablet computers and digital cameras with their print on them. According to BBC, the KashMiner operation will be run by Spotlite, a licensee that had previously teamed up with Kodak to use its brand to market LED lights.

Will KODAKCoin save the company and become its future? Time will tell!

We all love the beach! The warm sand between our toes, the amazing breeze caressing your cheeks and playing with your hair.

Not to forget eating hot corn and yummy french fries while enjoying one of the most epic sunsets ever.

Unfortunately, for Karachiites, a day at the beach is completely the opposite! Instead of having warm sands run between our fingers, we have plastic bags and wrappers!

Instead of making sandcastles, visitors are spotted trying to find a place to stand without having to be troubled by the amount of trash on the shores!

If that wasn’t enough, the trash has now wandered into the water as well, killing marine life! For those who live in Karachi, the beach, famously known as Seaview is the place to go to have a great time.

However, as time goes by, and the crowd increases, carelessness also accompanies. Today, the sight is just unbearable! A concerned Pakistani named Samar Javed shared a few pictures from the beach which left social media absolutely baffled!

The shocking situation stirred a conversation, resulting in a backlash on social media about the current situation.

For those who are blaming everything on the neglection of the government, firstly, it is not their job to clean your mess! The government is there for other purposes not just to clean trash because some people’s hands hurt when they utilize a dustbin.

Secondly, instead of just talking and blaming the ‘jahil’ awam, why not actually do something about this alarming problem? How about taking a broom instead your phone to clean the trash instead of taking pictures? Does it not make more sense that trash will go away by cleaning it up instead of whining about it?

Thirdly, why are we becoming so careless with our motherland? The same land our ancestors shed their blood for, is this how we are going to leave it for our next generations? A land with trash dumps and pollution? Will the kids from 2050 not know what grass is, or what flowers are, or how amazing fresh oxygen and clean air feel like when they enter the lungs?

This time it was the life and multiple marriages of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman, Imran Khan that drew some serious ire.

Rumors were rife that the politician has secretly tied the knot to the mother of 5 and spiritual leader, Bushra Maneka.

This news triggered Pakistanis like nobody’s business and a tsunami of hate comments erupted on the internet.

Following the bedlam, PTI released a statement clarifying that Khan has ONLY proposed to Bushra Bibi and she is yet to give her consent on the matter.

‘Mr Khan proposed marriage, but Ms Maneka asked for time to make a final decision after consulting her family, including her children.’

The issue turned into a national scandal, with media houses accusing Kaptaan of destroying Bushra Bibi’s first marriage to her ex-husband, Khawar Farid Maneka- a senior customs official in Islamabad.

The slandering has now gotten out of control, courtesy irresponsible journalism and keyboard warriors kickstarting a smear campaign against Maneka and the chairman.

AND NOW IMRAN KHAN HAS BROKEN HIS SILENCE ON THE MATTER AND GAVE AN EPIC REPLY TO ALL THE HATERS!

In a powerful tweet, Khan has slammed own haters and questioned if he has committed a crime for an inclination to get married.

Telegram Planning to Bring its Own Cryptocurrency!

According to a new report, the popular messaging application called Telegram is planning to launch its own currency after Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple.

The currency is being expected to receive an enormous fund by Initial Coin Offering (ICO)- a name given to the funds raised for a new cryptocurrency venture.

It is being predicted that Telegram’s currency being dubbed as ‘Gram’ will improve on the shortcomings of major currencies like Bitcoin. This also means that it might consume lesser amounts of energy compared to its rivals. 

As of now, reports and rumors suggest that other companies are working on creating blockchains to introduce their own cryptocurrencies. However, Telegram has an edge over the rest as it has over 180mn users present using the platform to exchange tips relating to the dramatic rise in lesser-known cryptocurrencies, like NEO.

As of now, the platform is trying to raise a whopping $500 million in the pre-ICO sale, around where tokens – otherwise known as currency. As of now, it is speculated that Telegram will debut its cryptocurrency on its in-house messaging client, where it will exist as a peer-to-peer payment system that lets users send money to each other.

We have yet to see how Telegram manages to make a mark in history with their new cryptocurrency!

Titled as“a new day is on the horizon”, the icon’s speech emphasized on the rise of sexual misconduct in Hollywood and divulged that she had been facing it since her early childhood.

As predicted, after increasing Rs 500-1000 on their bikes, Honda Pakistan has now increased prices for their vehicles as well.

This adds Honda to the list whereas its rivals including Toyota (Indus Motors Company) and Pak Suzuki have already increased prices to their vehicles.

Once again, the reason for the sudden hike in prices is because the devaluation of the Rupee against the Dollar, which has impacted on the price of imported parts in Pakistan.

Honda Pakistan Rumored to Launch 3 Vehicles in 2018!

Honda Pakistan is speculated to launch not one or two, but three new cars in 2018.

The rumors circulating on the social media have indicated that the company is planning to re-launch the Honda Civic Turbo and launch the 1200cc Honda Brio and a new Honda City.

Honda Civic Turbo

Honda was showered with criticism for their Civic Turbo 1.5L started causing a persistent knocking issue. This started a spark within the engine and lead to fires. Because of this, the company was forced to discontinue the variant.

However, due to its popularity, the company might just bring the Civic Turbo 1.5 VTEC CVT back in the Q1 of 2018l

Honda Brio

Brio comes equipped with a 1.2L i-VTEC engine, it’s four-cylinder engine with Programmed Fuel Injection, delivering impressive performance with 88ps at 6000rpm. By regulating valve opening to match engine speed, the agile i-VTEC engine adjust its characteristics to deliver both superior power and low fuel consumption.

Honda City

The 2018 Honda City is a front engine front wheel drive subcompact sedan. The 7th Generation Honda City features a revamped design language that is considerably more aerodynamically efficient compared to the previous generation, as well as a new range of more powerful, cleaner and much more efficient engines.

7 Tetra Pack Milk Brands Safe For Consumption: PFA

Pakistan has forever been debating over the pros and cons of using packaged milk.

Over the past year, a report was released by Pakistan Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (PCSIR) which deemed package milk as unfit for human consumption due to various harmful chemicals present.

The report stirred an outcry from regular tetra pack milk consumers and since then, Pakistanis are forever having a hard time trusting any one brand.

Following the whole controversy, Punjab Food Authority (PFA) took matters into its own hands and collected the samples of UHT/Tetra Pack milk brands.

Those samples were delivered to ISO-17025 Certified Laboratories SGS, PCSIR and Intertek to analyze the quality of milk on the basis of 3 parameters:

  • chemical
  • biological
  • physical

THE RESULTS ARE NOW OUT & BELOW IS THE LIST OF BRANDS THAT CLEARED THE TEST!

Amongst UHT/ Tetra Brands, following names have cleared the list:

  1. Haleeb
  2. Olpers
  3. Nurpur Milk
  4. Nestle Milk Pack
  5. Nestle Nesveta
  6. Day Fresh
  7. Good Milk

Meanwhile, in the category Natural Pasteurised milk brands, following products were mentioned:

  1. Anhaar Milk
  2. Daily Dairy
  3. Doce Milk
  4. Gourmet Milk
  5. Nutrivo Milk

Imran Khan’s 3rd Marriage Controversy: Bushra Maneka’s Ex-Husband Breaks Silence

It was yet another eventful weekend for the whole of Pakistan, packed with juicy controversy and fresh with spicy gossip. Well that’s what our people love the most, right?

This time it was the life and multiple marriages of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman, Imran Khan that drew some serious ire.

Rumors were rife that the politician has secretly tied the knot to the mother of 5 and spiritual leader, Bushra Maneka.

This news triggered Pakistanis like nobody’s business and a tsunami of hate comments erupted on the internet.

Following the bedlam, PTI released a statement clarifying that Khan has ONLY proposed to Bushra Bibi and she is yet to give her consent on the matter.

‘Mr Khan proposed marriage, but Ms Maneka asked for time to make a final decision after consulting her family, including her children.’

The issue turned into a national scandal, with media houses accusing Kaptaan of destroying Bushra Bibi’s first marriage to her ex-husband, Khawar Farid Maneka- a senior customs official in Islamabad.

The slandering has now gotten out of control, courtesy irresponsible journalism and keyboard warriors kickstarting a smear campaign against Maneka and the chairman.

So much so, Manya’s former husband has now come forward to defend his ex-wife and reveal the real story behind the whole hullabaloo

“I want to clearly state about my former wife, Bushra Bibi, that I have not seen a woman as pious as her in the world”

In a video clip, Khawar Farid Maneka vouched for Bushra’s piety and slammed all rumors about Imran Khan being the reason for their separation.

“We consider Imran Khan a disciple of our spiritual house. It hurts me to hear such things about him because I have not seen a man as respectable as him

According to reports, the B5 has a top speed of 200mph (321.869kmh), it can reach a remarkable speed from 0 to 62mph (100km/h) in 3.5 seconds.
