Cooking food is an art. Everyone knows that having seen programs such as Master Chef. The people who cook that food give food almost sacred regard. Since social media has emerged, unique things go viral, and food also gets subjected to it. For instance, there was this girl who cooked food, among other things, with her feet. She did not have hands, so it was inspiring. But when you have a perfectly good body, and you cook food with your mouth, adding spit, that’s just gross!
The video where woman cooks food with her mouth
The video went viral and has garnered more than 300,000 views. And it shows the art of a phenomenon called ’mouth cooking.’ The video in question has a woman making a turkey. She does not use any utensils or any piece of cutlery. Instead, she uses what she calls ’safety and comfort of her mouth.’
The video begins with the woman taking a sip of red wine, after which she goes right to business. To prepare turkey stuffing, she needs onions, celery, carrot chopped. So takes a bite of each thing, chews it properly, and spits it out in a bowl. Trust me; it’s grosser when you watch it. With the mirepoix, traditional French vegetable base, ready, she goes to garlic, egg, more parsley, and bread. This, too, she takes care of with her mouth.

How gross it gets!
I will not tell you how the raw eggs were added because if you are eating, you will surely vomit. But it’s safe to say that she properly uses her mouth for the egg as well. She then moves on to black peppercorns and onions. She mashes all the mixture, adding her saliva, and then deposits everything from her mouth to the turkey directly. She possibly signifies the end of mouth cooking by kissing the baked turkey. And after that, she lays it out on plates with her hands.
If you are brave enough, you can watch this video for yourself directly. However, make sure that you are nearby your washroom because you just might need to discard your last food.
Did you like it? In fact, would you follow these directions to cook it at home? Was I to try it, let alone my family, even I wouldn’t eat it. So hats off to the people who had to eat her cooking.

Emotion and Pakistani dramas are not strangers. To be specific, crying women and Pakistani dramas are synonymous. But when a woman is not crying, I mean they do cry (it’s human to cry), and yet the drama takes you on an emotional roller coaster ride, then you know that it is a moving drama. Such dramas are now very few, but once in a while, they do grace our TV screens and bring a smile amid tears for the audience.
Here are five emotional Pakistani dramas that are a must-watch.
1. Meri Zaat Zarra e Benishan
Samiya Mumtaaz, as Saba Kareem, made an already very emotional story a picture-perfect look. The show is about a woman who has an unusual connection to Allah and does not get involved in simple actions. It makes people jealous, so they weave conspiracy, and she gets entangled in it. She learns the hard way that worldly love s not worth the trust when her husband does not choose to believe her. How the story goes beyond that is something that you will have to see for yourself.

2. Qurbaan
Iqra Aziz accurately described the story for this drama. When asked, the antagonist in the information with you, Shehzad Sheikh and Bilal Abbas, she said, the society, the halaat. And I think nothing can be more accurate than this. It is a story of love, the cycle of love. Love evolves; love changes face, but love doesn’t die.
3. Mata e Jaan
A cute husband-wife relationship. You watch them, and you instinctively want a love like them. But then the husband dies, and the widow decides to make her husband’s parents accept her wholeheartedly. And she makes it happen. After that, they grow together and find out their way of dealing with such a near-death.
4. Maat
A story about selfish people and their desires. A sister who goes after her sister’s husband. Sounds like Jalan? Not really. Let me explain. A woman gets married to the one she wanted. But after having a child, she leaves him for someone richer. Her sister has to gather the shattered pieces. And she does so. Decades later, the woman notices that her ex, now sister’s husband, is more successful than ever, so she returns. And her ex accepts her. But what of the good sister? She, in the end, is happy. Watch the drama and love it as much as I did.
5. Dayar e Dil
Dayar e Dil is, I would call, very real. Okay, maybe I cannot relate to the amount of money they have (I got Mr. Bajaj’s vibe). But other than that, it showed that life doesn’t stop for anyone. It keeps moving. Time heals. People grow. And love finds you, be it a partner’s love or a parent’s love.

These specific Pakistani dramas do not have a woman who keeps crying while bad keeps happening to her and forget all those who did it just to save her marriage. No, the stories in these dramas are way beyond that. They are cute, they are sad, they are romantic, and they keep the viewer entertained throughout the span on which they are spread. Hopefully, there will be more such dramas on our screens in the future. But for now, if you haven’t watched them, do watch them because you will surely love them.

Assuming something to be present in the vacuum is in our nature. If an object that looked like a broken square were put in front of us, even if it were initially curated like that, our brain would assume that a square existed there at some point in time. This is just how our brains are wired. And so, when news about the vaccine for a pandemic that had been haunting the world for a year surfaced, but no one built on it further, people started forming myths and beliefs about something that had no base.
Myth 1: The Pfizer vaccine can change human DNA?
Some people are claiming that the mRNA technology that is being used in the vaccine can change the DNA. According to the myth, 75% of the volunteers in the vaccine trials have experienced side effects.
Before we get down to debunking this myth, here is a fun fact; your RNA is in constant motion, and because of that, every 7 years, our DNA signature gets completely altered anyway.
Reminder: the Pfizer vaccine uses mRNA technology which has never been tested or approved before.
It tampers with your DNA.
75% of vaccine trial volunteers have experienced side effects.
To debunk the myth, let’s go into detail about how the mRNA technology in the vaccine really works. It will be using Covid 19’s genetic code. When the vaccine is injected, the immune system will recognize the virus and start producing and firing antibodies to tackle it. This is the work of the mRNA, not changing the DNA in this instance at least.
As for the stats (75%) for the adverse effects, they were fatigue (9.7%), pain (4.1%), headache (4.5%), and redness (2.0%)
Myth 2: the vaccine was created fast. Is it dangerous?
Some people have put forward that it takes several years to develop a vaccine. But a medical industry stakeholder explained that this results in due to the vaccine producers who decide whether they are going to go ahead after each interval. But covid stands differently here because it is a global pandemic that has wrapped the whole world around it. So no company is evaluating whether to go ahead or not go along with it.
Myth 3: vaccine contains parts of an aborted fetus
Social media can spread many rumors. One rumor was that the vaccine was built from MRC-5 cell lines. These lines were developed from the lung tissue of an aborted caucasian male fetus.
This part is somewhat untrue. Apparently, it has been taken from a different cell strain. The strain was obtained from a female fetus aborted in the 1970s. It helps in propagating the vaccine, but in the final cut, it is not used.

Myth 4: The first vaccine trial volunteer has died
The news started circulating that Dr. Elisa Granato has passed away. Dr. Granato was the first one to take part in the vaccine trials. When the story became viral, Dr. Granato tweeted as a response that she is very much alive and having a cup of tea.
Myth 5: Bill Gates is using a vaccine to microchip everyone
And the best conspiracy theory about the vaccine has been that Bill Gates will use the vaccine to put a microchip in the whole world. This has come about due to his active involvement in vaccine development.
Bill Gates has denied all allegations.

These are just myths about the vaccine. Feel free to add more in the comments.

Osman Khalid Butt started his career through parody videos. Soon after, he got his first project, Ek Nayee Cinderella, alongside Maya Ali. The chemistry of the two was so on point that they did multiple projects together. Once in the industry, he ensured that his performances were perfect and kept on improving on them that not just with Maya, he was able to rock on-screen chemistry with every co-star.
Besides his works, he is very vocal about his views and opinions and stands up for what he believes in. Given the scandal of Ali Zafar and Meesha Shafi, when major actors of the industry and even his best friend Maya sided with Ali Zafar, he kept rooting for Meesha. The kind of school of thought Osman endorses, maybe slowly and gradually, he will be able to steer our industry in the right way.
A woman breaks her silence about abuse, withstands character assassination & further abuse on social media, her story turns into memes & tone-deaf jokes that trivialize the issue, she fears ostracization – but suuuuure, she did it for the cheap publicity. https://t.co/eDeOpXYUox
The way that tells the audience not to be negative. And let’s be honest, our drama producers, like almost every producer in the world, want to make money. If they see what makes the audience tick is negative, they will make negative content. So at the end of the day, we, as the audience, need to seek positivity for the dramas to get better.
How did this conversation come about?
Zahid Ahmed, the phenomenal actor who has time and again proved his acting skills, appeared for an interview. He made the statement that our TV allows us to abuse women on the screen but not be intimate with them. Osman Khalid Butt shared it on his Instagram stories, and someone replied. The reply was so shocking that Osman just had to explain to him exactly where the fan was wrong.
Zahid’s statement:
“We can slap women on TV but can’t show intimacy.”
Instagram follower:
“Just a pathetic excuse to get physical with female actors. Not to mention the influence it has on society and especially on young children and teens.”
Osman Khalid Butt rolls his sleeve
Because clearly, Osman does not belong to the group who whines about what is wrong with society but tries to educate. His message was this:
Yeah, so reactions like this are wholly predictable.
First Off: intimacy is just not sex.
Secondly, I’d rather my child see a healthy intimate relationship between fictional spouses than, you know, PHYSICAL ABUSE being normalized.
The nerve to talk about ‘influence.’
Well, Osman, keep doing excellent work and schooling people where needed. You just might be able to bring the change the industry needs.

The world runs on a strict schedule. Every day, the sun rises and sets with the end of every day. Everything works in a designated order. To make life easier for ourselves, we have developed various means to achieve it. Where we felt lifting was harder, we invented forklifts. Whenever we felt that water needed to be stored in a large quantity, we came up with reservoirs. It is in our nature to come up with ingenious ways to solve problems.
So, what did we do to make travelling easier on roads? We invented automobiles. Just like every other thing, automobiles have brands. It can be Honda, Toyota, Nissan, etc. Similarly, there is a brand that is known as Subaru. In the latest advertisement by them, Subaru’s ad is pointing towards something. It portrays sibling rivalry in mere thirty seconds!

Subaru And Automation:
Subaru has come up with quite an ingenious method to capture people’s attention. Yes, advertisement is yet another solution to people’s problems of not getting the word across successfully. Subaru is quite a unique brand when it comes to Automobiles.
They design vehicles that are lesser in price than their counterparts but are well enough in performance. When someone thinks of Subaru cars, they are reminded of either sports vehicles or family sedans. So what exactly is the advertisement about? How does it capture sibling rivalry?
The Latest Subaru Ad:
The Ad starts with a car arriving in a garage lot. Two animals are observing it in the window of the house. Then, the camera switches to the shot of two kids running. They are running towards something. Another transition shows them running with a third kid. Either one is trying to get ahead of the other, as if in a race of sorts.
This envelopes sibling fighting quite well. It is apparent now that they are trying to reach the car, to see who gets there first! They are tripping each other over as they come to the front porch and then the garden. Finally, the camera raises to the mother opening the car door. The siblings were fighting over who gets the better seat!
Advertising Infinite:
The advertisement continues with the words ‘The Fight For Space Is Over.’ This signifies that their new vehicle, which drives up to the porch, has ample space in it for the whole family. It was an SUV, from its design and build. The video then moves towards the end, with the family driving away for the weekend. Finally, a shot of the vehicle name is shown, and we realize which one is it! If you’re aware of Subaru vehicles, you might have heard of this one.
Yes, it is the Subaru Ascent 2021 version. This seems like such an innovative idea for an advertisement. It captures the essence of the vehicle and the rivalry that develops within siblings as they grow up. It is a special bond that no outsider can understand until and unless they have been through the same scenarios.

Huawei was a well-reputed and well-established smartphone brand before the United States sanctioned it. This lead to a sharp decline in smartphone sales. The company has started to expand its operations and is entering industries that it was previously not a part of, like the Smart Latex Pillows.

What Is The News About Huawei Releasing Smart Cars?
Now, it has been revealed that Huawei intends to enter the automotive industry. It has decided to collaborate with certain professionals who hold a significant place in the industry.
According to a Chinese Website named ChinaStarMarket, Huawei’s HiCar has decided to collaborate with tech giant BAIC Blue Valley to launch a new smart car in 2021. This collaboration was in the works since January 2020 and was formally announced at a conference on 7th January 2021. The car is expected to be released by the first half of the year 2021.
What Do We Know About The Features Of This Smart Car?
As of now, not much is known about Huawei’s and BAIC Blue Valley’s Smart Car; however, it is expected that the car would be equipped with state-of-the-art technology and would have features that will make it stand out from its competitors.
Several reports suggest that Huawei is mostly responsible for research and development, software technology, and integration of cloud computing systems and ICT technology in the new car, which is yet to be released. On the other hand, BAIC is one of the largest automotive companies in the world and is state-owned by China. It has a presence in multiple markets, including Pakistan, whereas BAIC Blue Valley, on the other hand, is its EV-technology wing focused on making an effective EV ecosystem.
It is expected that the collaboration would be a huge success in South East Asia, specifically in China, as both companies are some of the well-reputed and established brands of China. However, whether it will be able to get global recognition and compete with companies like Tesla, Toyota, and other European brands is yet to be known.
Huawei has made a remarkable entry to whichever avenues it has gotten itself into. Last year, the company released a phone which was later referred to as the mid-range phones’ killer considering its features, along with a MatePad whose features were significantly better than its competitors considering the price for which it was being offered in the market.

Before I start talking about Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar, I would like to state what I absolutely loved in this interview. Him being asked baseless, meaningless questions that do not contribute to the development of society in any way. It indicates that his public appearances have told people how groomed (not) he is. So instead of asking him about how can the narrative of TV dramas be impacted in the future, people ask him whether girls and boys can even be friends.
The previous hyped interview of Khalil ur Rehman
Now let’s come back to the issue at hand. I have been asked to cover a news piece about Khalil ur Rehman, a man who talks about women of today, not deserving respect, and yet is the most ill-groomed person you would have ever seen on the media. He talks about his interpretation of what Islam teaches and yet forgets… well, let’s not get into that considering how intolerant of a nation we are.
In an interview last year, he lost composure and hurled obscenities at a fellow guest because he disagreed with her views. And so, he believed, it gave him the right to disrespect that woman. He was further angered by the fact that the women had been ‘allowed’ to march on the roads chanting a slogan that in his dictionary meant walking in the streets, naked. The slogan literally translated was ‘my body, my agency’. And it said that women wanted to put a stop to marital rape or harassment that happens to them both in public and private spheres.
The return of the writer
The same guy is back with more wisdom quotes to add to the book that the sexists and toxic masculinity infested (is that even a phrase?) individuals use. The interviewer asks what he thinks of the idea of boyfriends and girlfriends. Let this be noted that the terms the interviewer used indicate romantic attachments of people. But you know the people who react before they even think; Khalil ur Rehman becomes the perfect example of that.
He understood the questions as can girls and boys be friends. And the toxic masculinity infested (I am beginning to like this word) individual replies that this is the whitest lie in the world. He once again places the entire blame of the whole scenario on the women, stating that it is because women have become ‘loose’ and they have made themselves ‘available’.
Personal Note to Mere Paas Tum Ho writer here: Sir, you may think that girls and boys cannot be friends but let me tell you something. People with your mentality do not qualify to be anyone’s friends. And then, as the Urdu metaphor goes, ‘angoor khattey hain‘ (sour grapes), men start the campaign that oh girls and boys can never be friends. The truth is we don’t allow toxicity to manifest in our surroundings. If a boy is not toxic, we can totally befriend them.

Lahore is a city full of secrets and charms. Unfortunately, today as we become divided between Gulberg and Defence, several places lose prominence. If you’ve got a knack for exploring, this guide’s for you!
1. Mian Mir Shrine
This shrine is located on Darbar road and is one of the most celebrated shrines found in Pakistan. Mian Mir was a Sufi mystic who is loved dearly today by Muslims and Sikhs alike. The place has been lauded for its beauty and magnanimity by travelers and residents and is a must-visit to explore.
Although hidden, the place has the power to captivate people by the spirit with which Mian Mir is celebrated as devotees and the general inviting atmosphere.
2. Peru’s Cafe
Peru’s Cafe enjoyed it’s prime long ago, after which several new places overtook its presence. However, even today, nothing beats Peru’s cafe even though it’s hardly known today. Peru’s is a long drive – on Raiwind road – but the food, dim atmosphere, and Sufi music make for an experience of a lifetime.

3. Kamran’s Baradari
Baradari is the name given to “summer palaces” in Mughal nomenclature, and this one dates to 1540. It is definitely the oldest Mughal structure existing in Lahore, a quaint house with 2 floors and 12 doors. Unlike other Mughal tourist attractions, this one always has minimal visitors and allows access to all places!
Aside from a beautiful structure to explore, a quaint garden is perfect for a picnic. To get there, you have to cross Ravi on a short boat ride— doesn’t it sound like the perfect getaway?
4. Maryam Zamani’s Mosque
This place is truly a hidden gem: tucked away behind the Lahore Fort’s eastern wall is another mosque worth observing. This mosque also is one of the oldest existing in the city, but what attracts people to it is its til work. Phenomenal, vibrant, and captivating are some of the words that can capture the tile work’s essence.

5. Gulabi Bagh Gateway
This historic gateway led to a noble, vast garden in the olden days even though all that is left today is a narrow strip, surrounded by manicured shrubs into Dai Anga’s tomb. Located on the northern side of the GT road, it is relatively unknown today.

However, if you’re looking for peace alongside a bit of history, this place is perfect!

[Update]: As more and more people get to know about Whatsapp’s New policy, the rage against it builds a bit more. The angered and troubled users are going to Twitter to express their concern for their privacy. Hence, you will find that the hashtag for the new WhatsApp policy (#WhatsappNewPolicy) is trending on Twitter, with the people stating that they’d rather dump Whatsapp and install Telegram instead of accepting the policy.
Now, it is understandable the way people are reacting. They want privacy. They want to go back to the era with Nokia 3310 to get it. And they feel betrayed by their beloved application. But here is the thing, was their privacy really in check ever since they (we) started using smartphones? They needed to be on all those social media accounts where they fed information about themselves into the systems.
So everyone was thinking that our data was safe before this policy announcement? LOL Even Your fingerprints are updated every time when you unlock the phone and apps. #WhatsappNewPolicy
To be honest, their privacy was already compromised, and deep down, they knew it. This time what is different is that WhatsApp has ‘ásked’ for it in a way that takes away their false sense of agency over their privacy. And thus, you see the whole of Twitter reacting rather harshly.
The past few weeks have been really happening at the Facebook Headquarters. The social media conglomerate, which also owns a massive plethora of platforms like Instagram and WhatsApp, and several other tech initiatives, has been working overtime to adapt to the changes that are coming to the devices this year.

What Is The Ultimatum By WhatsApp About?
Earlier today, WhatsApp has revised its privacy policy that demands a compulsory yes from the user before they could use the app. The app requires the users to accept the terms and conditions, which could apparently track the way you use your app. If you fail to do so, you will be prohibited from using the app from 8th February onwards.
The terms and conditions have been shared with the users via an in-app notification from today onwards, asking all the users to accept them if they wish to continue using the app.

The Facebook-Apple Controversy:
The update comes as no surprise as the recent controversy amongst Facebook and Apple became public a few weeks ago, which prompted a tweet from the CEO of Apple. Tim Cook and a response from Facebook via advertisements in newspapers.
We believe users should have the choice over the data that is being collected about them and how it’s used. Facebook can continue to track users across apps and websites as before, App Tracking Transparency in iOS 14 will just require that they ask for your permission first. pic.twitter.com/UnnAONZ61I
According to the new IOS update, Apple focuses more on privacy by increasing transparency between app developers and the users by asking the developers to share what data and information they can collect from their users.
As per App Store, WhatsApp can collect the following data of its users currently;
What do you think about all the changes that have been occurring on WhatsApp? The app has over 2 billion users worldwide and has revolutionized the way we communicate with each other.
Do you think the rift between Apple and Facebook has more to do with privacy, or does it seem like a PR move considering how aware and concern the public has become when it comes to sharing their personal data?
There have been numerous controversies that have led to this moment, as revelations by Edward Snowden and Wikileaks have revealed to the public in the past, which has led to a lot of awareness amongst the users and has tarnished the reputation about how these tech giants work.
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) organized the third nationwide Stakeholders’ meeting on Digital Financial Services today chaired by Governor SBP, Dr. Reza Baqir. The goal of these meetings has been to accelerate the agenda on promoting digital financial services and payments in Pakistan. The meeting was attended by the Country Director World Bank; Secretary MOITT; Accountant General of Pakistan Revenue (AGPR); Secretary BISP; representatives from NADRA, PTA, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), Karandaaz; and, CEOs/Presidents of Banks, Telcos and Electronic Money Institutions (EMIs), and several other stakeholders.
Governor Baqir briefed the forum about the significant progress made since the last stakeholder’s consultative meeting and the important steps taken by SBP to facilitate digital payments. He said that the development of Pakistan’s Instant Payments System project powered by SBP in collaboration with its partners has progressed significantly and the Prime Minister of Pakistan will soon launch the completion of its first phase. This phase will enable the instant transfer of dividend payments directly into the bank accounts of investors by Central Depository Company (CDC).
Governor Baqir remarked that the completion of this phase in a reasonable time despite disruptions due to Covid19 is commendable and SBP appreciated the continuous support of its partners and other stakeholders. He also highlighted various other initiatives accelerating the pace of digitization in the country. He said the successful introduction of digital account opening and provision of lifestyle banking and investments by banks through the Roshan Digital Accounts (RDA) for Non-resident Pakistanis is a giant step forward.
Adding further, he said that SBP has also fast-tracked the licensing application process for EMIs which will help to accelerate digital payments by the non-bank players. To facilitate cross-border flows of retail payments and venture capital funds SBP has also made amendments in the Foreign Exchange manual to make it easier to make payments, he said.
Governor SBP thanked the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and their local representative Karandaaz Pakistan, SBP’s implementation partner, McKinsey Pakistan, and technology partner CMA who provided their full support despite challenges of the Covid, travel ban and others to accelerate work on Pakistan’s instant payments system. Governor Baqir also appreciated the AGPR for their interest in leveraging the instant payment system platform for Salaries and Pension disbursements and BISP for their interest in routing Ehsaas Program payments via this platform.
During the meeting, SBP also shared its plans for ensuring affordable access to digital financial services for discussion. In this regard, SBP apprised the stakeholders on the progress made in finalizing the charges for digital channels such as Inter Bank Funds Transfers (IBFT). Suggestions and feedback were sought from the participants who largely appreciated the efforts of SBP catalyzing the spread of digital financial services in the country, which is beneficial for both the financial institutions and public.
Travelling has become really problematic, and even dangerous, in today’s time. You never know who you are interacting with is a virus career or not. But what’s worse is that some people can’t afford to care about that since their and their family’s sustenance depends on them going out to work. With all these problems, if one knows how safe or dangerous their residences are, they would be able to take appropriate measures. Bloomberg has identified a list of best and worst places that one could be living in.
Below are the five best places in the world during covid times.
Best places
1. New Zealand
New Zealand has been very strict with its border control. And its people knew to follow the rules strictly when they were imposed. So now they rank as the best place in the whole world.
2. Taiwan
Taiwan went up in the race as other places went down due to the increasingly cold temperatures of winter.

3. Australia
Australia has also been very effective in the following protocol, which has enabled it to stay as the 3rd best place.
4. Norway
If its mountains were already not pretty enough, the country has also handled the covid issue better than most.

5. Singapore
Singapore is the last on the list, but given that the entire list comprises of 53 countries, number 5 is not that bad of a number.
Worst Places
Now, it’s time to list down the worst places. If you live here, then, well, tough luck. The list is in descending order, with number 1 the least worst and number 5 the most.
1. Italy
Seeing as Italy was the worst hit in the first wave, it is only expected that they are still trying to understand what happened to them.

2. Greece
Considering it is the place travel fanatics want to visit the most, the fact that it is included in the list is just sad.
3. Peru
Bloomberg places Peru as the 3rd worst place to be in during the COVID era.
4. Argentina
Argentina ranks 4th in the list, which means that it’s just slightly better than Mexico. Stay safe in your houses, please.

5. Mexico
Sharing borders with the US, Mexico ranks last on the Bloomberg Index. Living there must be frightening with regard to COVID-19.
Another interesting fact is that Pakistan ranks 29th on the list. And according to its track record in handling the issue of covid, it has gone down two places. But it does rank ten places higher than India.
