This year, Lucky Motors, which is licensed for conducting business and operations of KIA in Pakistan, has plans to launch KIA Sorento, which is expected to give direct competition to Toyota’s Fortuner, which Pakistani car enthusiasts have immensely loved. As per the report released by Arif Habib Limited (AHL), the company has plans to launch the SUV on February 19th, 2021.

Later this year, KIA reportedly has plans to announce another automobile called Cerato by the third or fourth quarter of the year.
Honda Atlas, which has been manufacturing automobiles for the past three decades, also has plans to release a new variant of Honda City. [Update]: It takes a lot of courage for family members to declare that they have accepted their beloved is no more with them. Ali Sadpara, the mountaineer from Pakistan who loved climbing peaks others found daunting went on the expedition with two foreigners to climb the K2 summit during winters. it had never been achieved before so it was going to be difficult. But that did not stop Sadpara who, just because he was not getting sponsorship to go, opted to go in the capacity of a high altitude porter.
Missing since February 6th and having no luck with the rescue operations, the family has declared him dead. We hope that not just Ali Sadpara but his family as well find peace.

Mountaineer or High Altitude porter
The Pakistani mountaineer Ali Sadpara was on the quest to reach the peak of K2 in the winters to make a new record. Icelandic and Chilean mountaineers accompanied him. But the three of them got lost.
Since then, many netizens have been praying around the world for their safe return. While the authorities haven’t shied away from the rescue operations for the three, it has come to news that Ali Sadpara had not joined the expedition as a mountaineer, rather a high altitude porter.
In an interview, another mountaineer claimed that Ali Sadpara was not on K2 in a mountaineer’s capacity rather a high altitude porter. Upon investigating, Sadpara’s manager confirmed it. As it turns out, you need quite a bit of resource to go on such expeditions, but Sadpara could not secure it. And so, when the foreigners came and hired him to be the porter, he gladly accepted the opportunity.
Due to his experience, many foreign climbers regard him with the utmost respect. In fact, one of the foreign climbers on the trip has been documented saying that he chose the in the world to accompany him on his quest.
Update on the rescue mission
In the last few days, there had been news that satellite had pinpointed the mountaineers’ GPS location. But it turns out; it was just some sleeping bags, torn tents, and sleeping pads.
At this point, with no contact, we just hope that all of them are alive and have made an ice room, as Sadpara once said he would be he ever to get lost.
[Update]: Pakistan’s climber Ali Sadpara went missing along with climbers from Iceland and Chile. Search operations were launched. Due to hindrances, the rescue operations were paused as the condition of the K2 worsened. Amidst all that, past videos of Sadpara became viral.
Meanwhile, the whole internet is still busy praying for the safe return of the climber. We haven’t lost hope as his son also hasn’t. Sadpara’s son said his father is a survivor.
So we must continue keeping an eye out for any updates on the case. The most recent update is that the last GPS location of Ali Sadapara has been triangulated.

The name ‘Ali Sadpara’ is one that must be crossing your eyes a lot these days. He is one of the three climbers who have recently gone missing while on their way to the K2 summit. They were initially also accompanied by Ali Sadpara’s son, Sajid Sadpara. However, having an ailment caused him to return to base camp, leaving the other three to finish the climb.
They have not been heard from since some days, and a massive rescue operation is currently at work. K2 is considered one of the most most challenging mountains to scale. It takes a lot of equipment, knowledge of the track, and extra supplies. It can be one gruelling climb through low pressure and low temperature.
Ali Sadpara’s K2 Attempt:
We are aware, from his track record, that he is an experienced climber. He has scaled other mountains as well and is no stranger to harsh weather conditions. However, K2 surrounding climate is currently even more unforgiving than before in this last stretch of winter. Ali Sadpara stated something a day or two before the disappearance.
He said that if he ever were to get lost, he would build a snow hut and spend a couple of days in it. It is due to this that hope lit up in the government and the people and they decided to embark on this mission. The current helicopters cannot go beyond the 7000-meter mark. The climbers are said to be at the 8100-meter bottleneck.

Pakistan army has taken a decision to field their C130 plane. It is a cargo plane built for severe weather conditions and can fly extremely high. It is going to be equipped with a camera since other equipment may fail to work at such a height. Then it will take pictures of the zone above.
This is the biggest rescue operation in the history of the country, as everyone is behind it. Our prayers are with the families of the climbers, and our every thought is towards their well-being. Being as resilient as they are, we hope they have managed to survive and will all safely return to the warmth of their homes.
Not too long ago, Fakhr e Alam, a renowned Pakistani celebrity sparked a discussion on Twitter that went viral. He was posting pictures on Twitter of his trip to Balochistan. Amongst those pictures was one of Gwadar Cricket Stadium which he found immensely beautiful.

A Mountaineer Remembered
Ali Sadpara is a name that must have resonated through your social media quite a lot recently. While this name ought to have been famous before 2021, it became quite viral in the current year. Ali Sadpara is a mountaineer who has done quite a lot of unique expeditions. His travels include Nanga Parbat and K2 both. In his most recent winter expedition to K2, however, things seem to have gone awry.
It was supposed to be a climb and descend; Ali and two other mountaineers disappeared on the mountain. This gave birth to one of the biggest search and rescue operations in the history of the country. Everyone was anticipating their return, and many people are still hopeful. They went missing on February 5th, and it has now been over ten days since they were last heard from.

While we must always remember to hold our heads high in hope, we must think about other consequences. We have no idea what happened to them on K2, and we must remember never to forget them. They are brave souls who have accomplished things not a lot of people have. Who can proudly say that they have scaled over sixteen mountains? In light of this situation, Ali Zafar has released a melodious tune. It is quite refreshing to hear in this dire time.

We have yet to see whatever happened to the three missing mountaineers. Maybe they managed to climb down from another side and are residing at a nearby civilization. The brand evaluation consultancy Brand Finance enlists five steps to evaluate a nation’s brand value. These elements are determining brand strength, royalty rate, revenues, discount rate, and brand valuation. Through this process, they calculated and consequently released the nation brands ranking for the year 2020.
We found it pertinent to share the findings, considering the year 2020 was affected by COVID, leading to the worldwide lockdown. As a result, commercial activities and not-so-commercial activities equally were halted. In such a condition, it is essential to know what happened to the nations’ brand value worldwide and who emerged in the top ten. The idea, of course, is to put a dollar value on countries’ brand image.
World’s Most Valuable Nation Brands 2020

In 2018, when the list was released, the USA was valued at more than 25 billion dollars. But in 2020, the value stands at 23.7 billion dollars. As compared to 2019 only, the brand value has gone down by 14.5 percent. At the end of the top ten nation brands is South Korea which saw its value at $1.7 billion. And South Korea, too, witnessed a downward trajectory compared to 2019. The change for them was a negative 20.6 percent.
One thing consistent about the entire list was that all ten countries had seen a negative change compared to 2019. It doesn’t say outright that this was due to COVID but considering everyone suffered due to the pandemic, it is a point favoring our hypothesis.
India that occupied the 9th position in 2018 now seats at 7th, so even though covid affected the country, their progress in 2019 must-have helped them retain their place in the top 10.
Strongest Nation
David Haigh, the CEO of Brand Finance, commented on Germany being the strongest nation:
“Germany remains a beacon of stability both across the continent and globally. The logistics-as-a-service solution targets businesses, using its community of more than 20,000 riders for deliveries
Pakistan’s largest and most reliable food delivery platform, foodpanda, has launched its on Demand Rider Service for businesses in Pakistan, which will be available in more than 40 cities nationwide.
Introduced as ‘pandago’, this service will enable vendors to request a rider on demand, through the website. The service is available to all businesses, regardless of whether they are listed on the foodpanda platform.
Possessing a fleet of more than 20,000 riders, this service ensures an average delivery time of less than 25 minutes for each order. Businesses requiring package-delivery services will now be able to request a rider via a pandago account on a pay-per-use basis. The service’s delivery fees are distance-based, charged over a base fee of PKR 65.
With no additional onboarding and commission fees, the service can also be used as an “emergency” solution for businesses with existing delivery capacities during a surge in demand.
With foodpanda’s strong logistical network in place, pandago will allow vendors to focus on growing their business, catering to a larger customer base while ensuring seamless deliveries. Every customer who signs up to the service, will have access to a real time tracking system that will help them manage their transactions and ensure transparency.
The process has been kept very simple and easy-to-use for vendor’s convenience. As soon as a vendor receives an order via any channel, they can request for a rider on pandago. While they focus on preparing their order, foodpanda’s rider will arrive to collect and deliver it to the customer’s pin location.

Since many women visit the mosque without any headcover, scarves are provided there. Additionally, longer garments such as coats or abayas are preferred. If someone does not have that, they are provided that by the administration free of charge. So the question is if Aima Baig visited the mosque whilst wearing that, surely the administration did not find anything disrespectful?

People are not paying heed to the aforementioned logic and find it necessary to give their extremist inputs. Many have resorted to the comments section of Aima Baig’s Instagram and Facebook posts to express their distaste over her outfit.

Our Laws or The Country’s?
Keeping those comments in mind, it is surely baffling that to know whether one is supposed to follow “netizens” or the country itself? If Aima Baig was let inside the mosque, as some are suggesting, then there was no issue in her dressing.
Those opposing this logic mean that leather pants, in and of themselves, are promiscuous. There is no place for that in mosques. Moreover, mosques are places of worship for Muslims and a representation of Eastern culture. Why is she dressed in western over there?

During the reporting period, the number of monthly active JazzCash mobile wallets increased to 12.2 million, a YoY increase of 67%. [Update]: We may love cricket with all our heart but the traffic problems we face when the matches are held in Karachi makes us rethink all that. And PSL 6, or rather every installment of PSL, is an event we genuinely want to enjoy. This time around, however, things are beginning to look better.
Traffic Plan For Karachi
A Pakistani citizen, Aziz Fatima, petitioned the Court referring to the recent dharna situation of Karachi. She said that Supreme Court had announced then that no roads should be blocked no matter what the situation. The same should be applied to the cricket tournament.
With this reminder, the Supreme Court has ordered the immediate removal of all the containers placed on the roads and has announced that neither University Road nor Sir Shah Muhammad Suleman Road will be blocked. That said, the Home department and Traffic police have stated that while the roads won’t be blocked for the entire duration, they will take measures for when the team is commuting from their hotel to the Stadium.
It actually seems like we Karachiites will also be able to enjoy the match to the greatest extent possible.
[Feb 17, 2021]: This year’s HBL PSL 6 will have to be held keeping in mind the COVID SOPs. The 34 matches will be divided amongst Karachi and Lahore; National Stadium and Gaddafi Stadium. Out of them, 30 matches have their ticket prices confirmed. So, starting from 20th February to March 16th, if you are interested in attending any or all the matches, this article is for you.
As for the qualifier, eliminators, and final, the ticket prices will be announced later.
