The smartphone giant has priced its clamshell Galaxy Z Flip4 at $999.99 which is not that bad considering where other phones’ prices have gone. Alternatively, they have priced the 5G-enabled top-line Galaxy Z Fold4 with a 7.6-inch main screen to start at $1,799.99. These prices are applicable in the United States. You can also check, the prices are the same as last year’s!

TM Roh, the President and Head of Mobile Experience at Electronics has said some brilliant things about the new launch. Roh added that, “We’ve successfully transformed this category from a radical project to a mainstream device lineup enjoyed by millions worldwide”.

The release date of Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Fold4 and the new earbuds, Galaxy Buds2 Pro will be released on August 26th across stores. The countries where it will be released are selected, namely the United States, parts of Europe, and South Korea.

The Growing Demand

The Counterpoint Research suggests that global shipments of foldable smartphones will grow to 16 million units this year alone. This is a huge jump from the 9 million units shipped last year. The demand is also not expected to slow down, making Samsung the leading company to capture the demand.

The market, however, was expected to shrink. This is because consumers were showing reduced spending patterns due to global inflation. However, foldable smartphones are likely to fare better as they offer more at much lesser prices.

Coca-Cola Introduces Bizarre New Flavor & People Aren’t Sure About It

As part of the Coca-Cola Creations series, the 4th and final limited edition flavor of 2022, Coca-Cola Dreamworld, is all set to release on Monday, Aug. 15. In case you wondered, what dreams taste like? Well, you are a few days away from the big reveal.

The limited edition flavor is said to be a gateway into a lively, animated world where anything is possible. The bottles and cans are designed in a ‘dreamy’ packaging with whimsical shapes and electric colors to create vibrant optical illusions.

According to the company, the new drink adds “playfully vibrant flavor notes” to the signature great taste of the original Coke. As it “Evoke the boundless creativity of the human imagination.”

The Creations Lineup

Creations debuted in February 2022 with the space-flavored Starlight, followed by the pixel-flavored Coca-Cola Byte as well as, Marshmello’s Limited Edition Coca-Cola, which has a strawberry and watermelon flavor. The dream world is the final drink in the lineup, concluding the series on a high note.

Dreamworld and its Zero Sugar variety will be available at retailers across the United States in 20-oz. bottles and multipacks of 7.5-oz. mini cans. They will also hit Canadian store shelves beginning on the same date in 500-ml bottles and multipacks of 300-ml bottles.

Here’s How You Can Protect Your Privacy On WhatsApp

Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, has begun a new WhatsApp privacy campaign by announcing three new upcoming features. The new features arriving on WhatsApp will include blocking people from taking screenshots of a photo or video when you’ve used the existing ‘view once’ feature to share it, exit group chats without notifying everyone, and controlling who can see when you’re online.

The new features were announced by WhatsApp Head, Will Cathcart, and Meta CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, on Tuesday, August 9.

Last Seen Status

While earlier, users could only hide their ‘last seen status, the new feature now allows you to hide your ‘online’ indicator or choose whom you want to share the position with. You can either completely hide the last seen online status from everyone, only unknown numbers, specific contacts, or from nobody. The feature will add a new ‘who can see when I’m online’ option under the last seen settings, with two options – ‘everyone’ and ‘same as last seen.’

Leave Groups Silently 

Users can now leave group chats silently, without WhatsApp showing a ‘person left the group’ alert on the chat. The app alerts all group chat members to someone leaving or being removed by default. With the new feature, WhatsApp will only notify the group admin about a user leaving the group.

Viewed Once 

The ‘view once’ messages allow users to send media files that are only viewable once. However, these still allowed people to take screenshots of the media file. Now, WhatsApp has added a screenshot blocking feature on ‘view once’ messages that will enable users to stop people from taking screenshots of their images.

The way you use a smart band has changed and here is why you would need a larger display and longer battery life

Remember a time where smart bands used to be just a thin band that was tightly wound around your wrist? Those with a small monochrome display or a set of LED indicators, or some without either? Daraz Becomes Digital Streaming Partner for Asia Cup 2022 in Pakistan

As the Cricketing season is approaching quickly, the whole nation is eagerly anticipating the clash of the year, Pakistan v India on 28th August 2022, as the two teams go head to head in the group stages of Asia Cup 2022.

Why Trent Boult stepped away from International Cricket?

Trent Boult is arguably the best all-format fast bowler in this era, with Jasprit Bhumra and Shaheen Afridi. He is only 33 years old and has enough gas left in the tank to reach the coveted 400 wickets landmark in test cricket. However, he chose to give up that dream in order to spend more time with his family and make himself available for T20 leagues across the globe.

Boult had been in touch with New Zealand Cricket (NZC) for some time before his big announcement on Wednesday. He asked NZC to release him from his central contract so that he could spend more time with his family and make himself available for T20 leagues. NZC has complied with the fast bowler’s request and has granted his release, which “significantly reduced” his chances to represent New Zealand in international cricket. He will, however, complete the ongoing tour of the West Indies and is highly likely to be selected for the T20 World Cup in Australia.

“This has been a really tough decision for me and I’d like to thank NZC for their support in getting to this point,” Boult said. “Playing cricket for my country was a childhood dream and I’m so proud of everything I’ve been able to achieve with the Black Caps over the past 12 years.”

He further added, “Ultimately this decision is about my wife Gert and our three young boys. The family has always been the biggest motivator for me and I feel comfortable with putting it first and preparing ourselves for life after cricket.”

Trent Boult has been taking time off every now and then, to be with his family and deal with injuries. However, his recent decision is motivated by the financial security provided by T20 Leagues, where he can spend time with his family while making good money in quick time.

NZC released a statement explaining that Boult had made it clear to NZC chief executive David White that his appetite for touring had diminished and he wished to spend more time with his family.

Boult has not retired from international cricket but he is likely to play a lot less for New Zealand. White confirmed that Boult was aware of the ramifications of his decision and that NZC would prioritize contracted players.

“We’ve had several conversations and I know Trent understands that, in terms of selection, NZC will continue to make a priority of those players with either central or domestic contracts,” White said.

33 years old fast bowler also acknowledge that his decision would certainly affect his future selection for New Zealand.

“I still have a big desire to represent my country and feel I have the skills to deliver at the international level,” he said. “However, I respect the fact that not having a national contract will affect my chances of selection.”

Trent Boult has played 78 Tests, 93 ODIs, and 44 T20Is, taking 317, 169, and 63 wickets respectively. He has won the inaugural World Test Championship, while he was part of the runners-up side in the ODI World Cups of 2015 and 2019, and T20 World Cup 2021. In an ideal world, with age, form, and fitness on his side, he could have given a shot to play for another three or four years to play 100 Tests and pick 400 wickets, joining Sir Richard Hadlee, the only New Zealander to pick 400 test wickets. However, he chose to prolong his T20 franchise cricket career, while spending significant time with his family. He is expected to join one of the new T20 leagues in either the UAE or South Africa.

The plethora of T20 leagues in this era has affected international cricket in a big way, with players like Ben Stokes and Trent Boult stepping away from one format or another. There have been cases of players taking early retirement to give more time to T20 leagues, than hectic international tours.

In a T20 league, a player can generate more money than the value of the central contract in a month or two that a league season lasts, have a stable base from which to travel with your family and enjoy a more entertaining experience overall. With T20 leagues stacking the annual calendar, more players will likely step away from international cricket citing workload balance in near future.

The ICC stands awkwardly in the middle of this disastrous situation, trying to spread cricket as fairly as possible while being constrained by the decision-making member boards that seek to maximize profits with more T20 leagues. Although that may not be what the boards or ICC want to hear, the cricket schedule is rapidly approaching its limit.

SnackVideo secures ISO27001 and ISO27701 certification for security

SnackVideo announced it acquired the ISO/IEC 27701 and ISO/IEC 27001 certification in China and several other countries in Latin America, Southeast and South Asia, and the Middle East.

ISO/IEC 27701 and ISO/IEC 27001 is an international standard on how to manage information security. ISO/IEC 27701 is a privacy extension to ISO/IEC 27001 with additional requirements in order to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve a Privacy Information Management System (PIMS). For SnackVideo, that proves that it is handling personal data with worldwide standards recognized in the industry.

Calvin Liu, head of SnackVideo Compliance, Communication Experience and Partnership says: This certification reflects SnackVideo’s social responsibility and commitment to user information security, marking that SnackVideo has reached the international advanced level.

The ISO/IEC 27701 and ISO/IEC 27001 detail requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving an information security management system (ISMS). It’s primary aim is to help organizations safeguard and protect their assets.

Lahore: The wait is over! Bilal Lashari’s magnum opus – the most anticipated film of Pakistan, “The Legend of Maula Jatt” has an official release date now. The first teaser poster gives a glimpse of the iconic Gandasa, with a release date of 13th October. This date has finally been revealed after much speculation by the fans about various dates in the past few days.

The Legend of Maula Jatt is by far the most expensive film to come out of Pakistan. This intense and epic hero origin story, with a screenplay by Bilal Lashari and dialogues by Nasir Adeeb, is a hard reboot of the 1979 cult classic ‘Maula Jatt’. The film is directed by Bilal Lashari, known for his directorial debut, the box office megahit film ‘Waar’ and produced by Ammara Hikmat under the joint venture of Encyclomedia & Lashari films in association with AAA Motion Pictures. What Happened?

A brand by the name of H&S apparel put out a deal to celebrate Arshad Nadeem’s latest win. They put up an artistic post with the javelin thrower inviting him to shop for free goodies worth Rs.50,000. This, according to them, is to support new talent and encourage him. This has happened many times— whenever our cricketers win something, they are given free vouchers and deals at places.

A marketing strategy at best and a failed theft at worse! H&S apparel had no idea that whoever’s artwork they stole would speak up about it.

The artwork is by Mubarak who runs his page called Mubarak’s art. He posted his artwork on his site and page and H&S apparel thought they could steal it. Having seen this theft, the rightful owner of the art has been rallying support on social media to help him.

The problem is that H&S apparel first refused to admit that they stole the artwork. Then they said that the artwork was on a website that is loyalty and copyright free. However, as compensation, they have offered him a Rs.10,000 prize. The reason behind it? To support new talent.

Has The Issue Been Solved?

The issue is still not solved because the clothing brand is refusing to admit that they have stolen a hardworking artist’s work. Distributing cash prizes does not work. Moreover, why would they agree to give a cash prize if they haven’t stolen his work? All this seems very fishy and it also seems that they’re trying to cover this up as goodwill.

Burger King Customers Confused After Receiving A Blank Order Receipt

Burger King has confused a whole group of people by emailing them a blank receipt with many joking that they’ve made a ‘Whopper’ of a mistake.

In the early hours of 9th August, customers started receiving emails saying ‘thanks for ordering from Burger King’ – even though they hadn’t placed an order.

But when they opened the messages, they faced an utterly blank statement, causing a great deal of confusion.

Burger King Hacked?

An “internal processing error” is responsible for a bunch of blank receipts. The sender of the receipt was an official Burger King email account when emails were placed overnight into Tuesday morning. A representative for Burger King confirmed to Nexstar. The number of the recipients is unclear, but according to the reports, thousands got the emails in error.

“Thank you for ordering from Burger King!” reads a message included with the receipt. “Your order will be ready to be picked up at Burger King located at [blank].”

The order information listed within the emailed receipt was also wholly blank.

Twitter Reacts 

The email recipients took to Twitter to share the details regarding the emails. “Did anyone get a blank Burger King receipt in their email? I’m just curious. I never eat there,” one user said

Burger King immediately took notice of the error as they responded to multiple customer queries on Twitter, saying, “Thank you for reaching out. We are aware of the issue and are investigating internally.”

Burger King representative says that an “internal processing error” was responsible for the blank receipts.

However, they declined to comment whether the emails were sent only to customers who signed up for the Burger King app or perhaps a broader email database. Meanwhile, it did not immediately appear that any email recipients had been charged or their information had been compromised.

The ICT specialists at the world economic forum are bridging the gap between women and digital accessibility via four primary areas focusing on education, business, digital inclusion, and advocacy. Their roadmap is ambitious: growing by 25 chapters annually for the next three years, to be present in 100 countries by the end of 2024.

This ICT has joined the World Economic Forum’s EDISON Alliance – a global movement of leaders from the public and private sectors committed to prioritizing digital inclusion so every person can affordably participate in the digital economy. Through the 1 Billion Lives Challenge, Women in Tech has committed to empowering 1 million women and girls in STEM through skilling, mentorship, advocacy, and community support by 2025.

This is a horror thriller that follows the operations of a creepy camp. This time around, there are LGBTQ+ members who have also come to the camp. The leader knows he can’t “fix” them so he shows them another way to freedom. That’s when a killer hits the campground and where the thriller begins.

Belfast

Belfast follows the other side of the grass compared to what Derry Girls has been showing since three years. The movie is a love story set in black and white times and it’s supposed to be super charming. Are you a love-movie kind of a person?

Is Coffee Good For You Or Not?

Did you know we consume 2 billion cups of coffee every day? Our caffeine addiction has always been a cause of concern. However, it has come to our attention lately that coffee might be more unhealthy than we think. Moreover, all the reasons we use to convince ourselves otherwise are folly.

About Coffee In The Morning

So, our morning caffeine kick comes from a plant toxin. We believe that the potential health benefits of coffee come from other molecules in the brew. For instance, the brew often has antioxidants, including polyphenol. This ingredient has been found in several concentrations in coffee. However, this antioxidant and many others are also found in many plants like broccoli or blueberries. Here’s the best part: they are in even higher concentrations there.

So, why don’t we consume that? We like to drink coffee for the caffeine. We don’t drink it for the antioxidants. What we do after that is we hope that this didn’t mean we’re killing ourselves. Scientists suggest that coffee isn’t killing us as quickly as other things might be. Think doughnuts, cheesecakes, white sugar etc.

The Changing Effects of Coffee

The constant rotation of whether coffee is good or not comes from the changes in research and modern science. After all, science is constantly changing and evolving. Research is basically an ongoing process, and our understanding of the world around us changes as we explore and learn.

Initially, a study in the New York Times ruled that coffee is severely unhealthy for you. However, a few years later, the same scientists ruled that out and said in fact coffee isn’t all that bad!

So What’s The Verdict?

The verdict is that coffee is only good for you in the sense that it wakes you up. You become brighter and you want to get the work done. Coffee is also what you meet friends over.

However, will drinking coffee make you healthier or make your life longer? Not really. Yes, it has antioxidants but there are better places to get them from.
