Electric vehicles are thought of as automobiles that compromise performance and speed by focusing on fuel consumption and sustainable options. Still, Audi’s e-Tron GT is expected to change this narrative.

Audi has released the e-Tron GT and RS e-Tron GT, which are electric cars fully capable of running through electricity. Experts say that this move might have been influenced after German automaker Porsche, known for its high-performance sportscar, released an electric car named, Taycan. Taycan also provides a sustainable option to automobile enthusiasts alongside high performance too.

The e-Tron GT models are coupes with four doors that are energized by two electric motors. The e-Tron GT Quattro has a horsepower of 476, which enables the car to reach 0 to 100 km/hr within 4.1 seconds.

The second variant, named RS e-Tron GT, has the capacity to reach 0.62 mph within only 3.3 seconds, leveling itself to Ferrari’s 458, for context.

Additional Environmental-Friendly And Sustainable Options

Audi has gone the extra mile for its customers and has introduced leather-free options for its customers by providing an interior made with recycled materials and carbon-neutral production.

The car is being hailed as one of the best sports-cars powered by electricity and features a futuristic look, which makes the car stand out from a conventional sports car.

The e-Tron GT Quattro pricing is expected to cost £79,900, whereas the RS e-Tron GT will cost £110,950, excluding the additional features or variants that Audi may offer.

Korean automaker Hyundai is also launching EV vehicles by 2022 alongside all these cars expected to release later this year.

COVID-19: Good News For People Who Have Been Fully Vaccinated

[Update]: We have adjusted to the new normal to quite some degree, at least. There have been restrictions on traveling, the workforce has been made to adjust, and well, there has been lesser physical activity out on the streets, comparatively. This was because when someone caught covid or was in the vicinity of someone suspected of it, they were to quarantine themselves to stop its further spread.

Well, not anymore!

It turns out that the people who have received the vaccination for coronavirus (two doses of Pfizer/BioNTech or Moderna) can skip the quarantine requirement. So even if you meet up with a suspected COVID patient, you don’t have to go into social isolation. Of course, they shouldn’t stop taking precautions. But to be eligible for this, you need to have the two shots with a two-week gap as it takes this much time for the immunity to develop after the second shot. The recipients of the vaccine will need to watch their symptoms to see how they react to it.

CDC guidelines

CDC said:

“This recommendation to waive quarantine for people with vaccine-derived immunity aligns with quarantine recommendations for those with natural immunity, which eases implementation.”

CDC also said that even after being vaccinated, people could be the carriers of the virus and convey it to others, so it’s better to exercise all precautions.

They further stated that:

“At this time, vaccinated persons should continue to follow current guidance to protect themselves and others, including wearing a mask, staying at least 6 feet away from others, avoiding crowds, avoiding poorly ventilated spaces, covering coughs and sneezes, washing hands often…”, among other guidelines given by CDC and other organizations.

Pakistan has faced severe impacts of the coronavirus. The global pandemic has caused a lot of burden on the already exhausted health sector, whereas many people lost their jobs due to the increase in unemployment.

The Arrival Of COVID Vaccine In Pakistan:

As per the National Command And Control Center (NCOC) announcement, Pakistan is expected to have its first batch of vaccines by 31st January 2021. The NCOC has also announced that the strategy to get people vaccinated has already been strategized and implemented.

As per the details revealed by sources so far, Pakistan is expected to have Russia’s Sputnik 5, China’s Sinopharm, and UK’s Oxford-AstraZeneca approved by the government officials would be ordered by Pakistan for their Covid-19 vaccinations.

How Can You Get Yourself Registered for COVID Vaccine?

If you intend to register yourself for the vaccination, you’d need to follow the steps listed below.

Step 1:

Message your CNIC number to 1166 through SMS or go to NIMS website to register yourself

Step 2:

After being verified, the citizen would be designated a location referred to as the “AVC” (Adult Vaccination Center), and a PIN code would be sent to you via text message.

Step 3:

If the location of your designated Adult Vaccination Center is way too far from your tehsil, you can get it changed by getting in touch with the helpline 1166 within five days of receiving your text message.

Step 4:

After the vaccine arrives at the AVC, the citizen would be required to go to the designated AVC to get vaccinated as per the instructed date along with his/her original CNIC.

Step 5:

On the appointment date, the person would be required to visit the AVC with their CNIC and PIB code, which is a mandatory requirement.

Step 6:

After getting verified via the PIN and the CNIC, the person would get vaccinated for the COVID-19 and remain there for the next 30 minutes to be monitored.

The website would also show real-time dashboards for federal, provincial, and district health departments, which would be updated automatically.

It is a relief that things are finally looking good, and it is hoped that the situation would get back to normal. With everyone wearing masks and quarantining and socially distancing for almost a year now, we’re excited about how things would turn out if we come out of the pandemic soon and get back to our everyday lives.

Punjab Doctor Sells New Born Baby To Cover Hospital Bills

Medical bills are very intimidating worldwide, and so when we hear about a few countries that do offer free medical treatment, we get impressed. So one can imagine what people go through in Pakistan when they see hospital bills considering a large population in the country lives on or beyond the poverty line. An incident related to just this happened in Punjab, specifically Tulamba.

Replacing newborn for hospital bills

A pregnant couple gave birth to a baby boy. The couple, however, were not able to pay the hospital bills. Upon this, it is being said that the doctor made an offer to the couple. He said they could sell the baby and pay off their bills. When they refused to sell their newborn, the doctor took the baby by force and sold him to the buyer.

The hospital tried putting pressure on the couple, so they do not take any legal action. They must have thought that poverty-stricken people will be easy to pressurize. However, they went to the police and filed a complaint against the doctor. The police were very quick in responding to the couple’s plea. They raided the hospital and arrested the doctor.

Swift action in such a situation is necessary, and it is admirable that the police did not hesitate in helping the poor couple out.

An android app with over 10 million-plus downloads named Barcode Scanner made by the developer, Lavabird, was malicious. The app was intended for smartphone users to scan barcodes with their smartphones and find information embedded in them.

The app was legitimate initially; however, several users reported ads being popped up out of nowhere around late December. Researchers and experts found that the update released on the Playstore in December 2020 had a code that included malware that infected the app users.

Google Play has been vigilant and has been scrutinizing its apps in the past; however, this app managed to get through the barrage of updates and infiltrate millions of android users’ phones.

Even though Google has removed the application from its Google Play App Store, the company is yet to use its Google Play Protect tool, a feature that enables the company to remove the app from the phones. The users will have to delete the app themselves manually.

5G is the fifth generation technology standard for broadband cellular networks which will leave 4G behind. However, the technology was not predicted to come to Pakistan at least for a few decades. How did we get its first test run done already?

Who Brought it Here?

PTCL Group is one of the country’s largest and most influential telecom groups. It comes as no doubt that they have tested 5G technology in a special, exclusive ceremony at PTCL headquarters. The ceremony was attended by the likes of Syed Amin Ul Haque, Federal Minister for Information Technology & Telecommunication as the Chief Guest.

However, it is important to note that the trial is strictly on a non-commercial basis right now.

The ceremony included live 5G usage scenarios at the ceremony. The demonstrations also included remote surgery, Cloud gaming, and overview of other anticipated 5G technology applications. Naseebo Lal Reacts To Response On PSL Anthem 2021

PSL Anthem for 2021 was released with quite a bang. There was much noise right after the song was aired. Some just did not like the song, while some thought that only Ali Zafar had given good PSL anthems. But what was in this year’s anthem? It had Naseebo Lal, Aima Baig, and Young Stunners coming together to form a stadium anthem that would make the crowd ‘groove’ with the music.

Yes, groove does not just mean a trench; it also means dancing to popular music. And yes, the anthem does grow on you. So when you sit down to listen, sometime later, you will be singing along just like you did with ‘Baby Shark’. But people have been making fun of the anthem. Aima, one could say, has not paid much heed to the trolls, the Young Stunners were used in many memes, Naseebo Lal, however, got the most bashing. The haters did not like her presence for a PSL song.

While there are haters, as there are for literally everything, people have also showered love for the song and the singers.

For Naseebo Lal, this project was different from what she is used to. Singing a song focused on a sports-related activity, which is also the most awaited event for the entire country, must have been a new experience for her.

In an interview, she was asked about how she felt. Amidst tears of joy, she mentioned that it was all God’s blessing that she got the project. Never had she ever gotten anthems or PSL songs to sings, so if the organizers thought she could perform, it was all thanks to God. She also mentions that it was her talent that made people shortlist her for it because if it was not a challenging tune, she might not have gotten it.

Pakistanis have been facing disruptions in internet services today. Now, we are a nation that is used to internet problems, but as it turns out, this time, there is a legit reason behind these problems.

So the problem detected is that the submarine cable that connects Pakistan’s internet to the rest of the world is offline. It isn’t the only internet supplier, but it does occupy the major pie (20%), so problems there are bound to affect most of the population. The IMEWE cable needs to be restored, but there has not been an update on how much time will the restoration process take.

While the submarine wire needs to be restored, we need to work on alternative methods of getting internet services because just this puts us decades back in the world.

For instance, now receiving calls and messages is free but making calls and sending texts or using the internet is not. So we have to either have a phone balance or packages to utilize these services. Yesterday, however, you did not need to have that money in your account if you were a Zong user.

Zong System Glitch

Due to some system glitch, Zong users could use all the data they wanted, make phone calls or send texts without being charged anything. It was like a dream come true for Zong users, yes. While Zong people enjoyed the free services and the other networks did not, it should be noted that it was because that network made it so. The Toyota Fortuner is currently set at a price of between 90Lac to 100Lac. This seems like quite a hefty amount for a vehicle but what it offers can stand as a justification for its price. Its features are premium and it’s fit for the whole family. Now, this is an impressive vehicle!

Coming to the second one, the surf is available at a price of Rs.95Lac and moves up and beyond Rs.100Lac. There is not a substantial difference between the prices of the two vehicles compared here. This country is honestly known for a lot of sporting inventions and they still do it. You must have heard of the ashes. It is one of the oldest series in the history of the sport. Then there are famous cricketers who have shaped the history of the sport. These people have used their talents to boost the spirit of the sport sky-high.

Whether you watch cricket or not, you must have heard of names like Shoaib Akhtar, Ricky Ponting or Javed Miandad. Now, with us entering into the second month of 2021, we see PSL 6 starting. There is quite a lot of hype surrounding this event and a lot of people are looking forward to it.

Cricket At Heart:

We, as Pakistanis, have a certain passion within us. This is built in a lot of the people here due to it being so popular here. Everytime you think about cricket, people from Pakistan must appear in your mind at some point. It takes quite a lot of spirit to support a team through ups and downs. Where they may boo the team over a loss, they still hold their heads high in hope that they will win again.

Events in cricket are widespread. They range from test series to one day matches or T20 ones. Test series last more than four days and T20s are some of the shortest games ever. However, they are often quite intense and thrill-filled. The PSL is yet another type of cricket based event which takes place every year now. The teams have a roster with people from all over the world with track records.

With every PSL version, comes a PSL anthem. The opening ceremony of the event is one of the most anticipated ones. It often features celebrities and singers from various domains, coming together in one place. However, the anthem has gathered quite a lot of different opinions.

There are different opinions from everyone! Even Shoaib Akhtar has expressed himself over the anthem ‘Groove Mera’. A lot of people have said they love the opening, while some have said ‘Young Stunners’ performed well. Alongside there, there are many people who have either made memes or satire about the anthem!

Another Sports Season:

Despite everything, we must keep in mind that the event is yet to happen. It’s opening will take place on the day of the first match and people will want to see it. Pakistanis are huge fans of the sport and will not hear any negative views about it.

Well, remember how we outright rejected pineapple on Pizza? We, in fact, forgot all about it. Domino’s didn’t. And they replied to the tweet. The tweet said that they thought their food combo was the strangest, but Weetabix won in that category.
