The Big Collaboration In The Spotlight

Some reports have suggested that X-box-themed sneakers are going to be available on the market later this year. According to a new report, four Xbox shoe releases are scheduled for 2021. Take a look at the prototype. We’re sure either you’re one of the people who would be obsessed with it or you definitely know someone who is.

Leaked Documents, Big Reveals

Reports are also stating that certain documents from Adidas’ production process were revealed. They divulge that one of the company’s latest work-in-progress is their line of shoes themed after X-box consoled. It does not come as a surprise that they appear to have black, white, and neon green colors. Plus, who can miss the feature of the Xbox logo prominently on the heel?

The cherry on top is that rumours suggest the shoes will come in green boxes with Xbox branding. As for how much they will break the bank… stay tuned for official news!

When are they releasing?

So far, it has been suggested that the first pair of shoes will be released in June. Right on time for the summer holidays right? The June release is also said to be a promotional version of Adidas’s new Forum Tech Boost style. It’s the best of both worlds.

Following that, in October, two Xbox-themed pairs of Adidas’s Forum Mid will drop. You should also expect another model of the Forum Tech Boost in November! While this may be it for the drops in 2021, the leaked document suggests that more could come in 2022.

Corporate Competition or Creative Endeavours?

Though this news is a good one for many, we’re not sure what has led to it being created. The fact that this “leaked” news comes right after headlines of PlayStation launching themed shoes with LA Clippers Paul George. These are set to launch in May and expected to retail for $210.

Expect the typical PlayStation colours of blue and white and many more of their “aesthetic touches” as gaming pros say. This encourages us to think about whether these “leaked documents” by Adidas are even leaked. Mayhaps they were leaked on purpose to give their competitor an edge!

It is a well-respected belief in Islam that “Jannat is beneath the feet of a mother”. However, one should be cautious to literally interpret it. The idea is that something so unbelievably beautiful and sacred is right below our mother’s feet. It is to show the stature of a mother and emphasise how they are greater than Jannat. Please your mother and you attain Jannat.

However, Imran Abbas interpreted it literally and kissed his mother’s feet on Mother’s day. While there is nothing wrong with the act itself, the problem is with the broadcasting and association.

When Imran Abbas kisses his mother’s feet and associates it with the aforementioned belief, he encourages a literal interpretation. That is problematic also because Muslims are also not allowed to prostrate before anyone else. Only Allah.

In this world of growing technology, privacy is a major concern. With such progression, we don’t have a way to determine how far a network can be breached. One day, it could be a calm day and the next, absolutely chaotic. It doesn’t matter which site you’re browsing because all of them have a central database.

Take a step back if you are ever faced with this app. It’s name may be welcoming but its content and policies radiate the opposite!

3. oVPNSpider:

While this VPN may not be as blatant as the other two, it has its own risks. A risk assessment revealed DNS leaks within the application. This is a security flaw which exposes your browser traffic to your ISP. What is the use of the VPN if this happens? The ISP will block the site again! It has also been noted that oVPNSpider tested positive for Malware and Adware. As cool as the name of the VPN may sound, it is better to avoid it!

While this VPN app offers unlimited data transfer and connection time, it has has its dangerous underbelly. This VPN is based out of US. It can be said that any VPN out of US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, should be avoided. They openly use user data to maintain their own systems and gain inside information, allegedly.

Faridoon Sethna, one of Karachi’s most famous gynecologists passed away on 8th May, 2021.

His funeral prayers were held at 9 am on Sunday at 8th Mary Road, Bath Island in Karachi, according to the Setna family.

“In light of the prevailing Covid pandemic, the arrangements will be for the family and close friends only, but we will deeply appreciate your prayers”, the family shared.

About Dr. Sethna

Dr. Sethna was a graduate of Dow Medical College and a fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He spent all his life rebuilding Lady Dufferin Hospital (LDH) in the Kharadar area and treated poor patients from old Karachi. He was also the medical director of the Concept Fertility Centre in Clifton and actively treated patients.

At the LDH, Dr. Sethna was also teaching and training post-graduate students in obstetrics and gynecology. He used to participate in numerous international and national scientific meetings and conferences. He took a keen interest in philanthropic activities, too.

His achievement also included infertility treatment and he developed this technique at a center in Karachi. He was also former Prime Minister, Benazir Bhutto’s obstetrician.

Sitara-e-Imtiaz Holder

His achievements landed him a Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his contributions to the field of maternal medicine in Pakistan. He worked as an obstetrician for over 50 years and was known for dealing with high-risk obstetrics, complex gynecological problems, and infertility treatments. He was one of the most experienced practitioners in Pakistan in infertility and helped hundreds of couples conceive through IVF.

Dr. Sethna’s Fellow Doctors Remembers Him

“Dr. Sethna was a great mentor to countless gynecologists. He believed in women’s empowerment and staunchly supported the role of midwives and the cause to provide the best care to pregnant women,” recalled Dr. Sherhshah Syed, former president of the Society of Obstetrician and Gynaecologists Pakistan (SOGP).

“Dr. Sethna was behind the LDH’s modernization. He was able to convince the late Ardeshir Cowasjee to support him in building a midwifery school at the hospital,” Dr. Syed said, adding that he was also an ardent art lover and reader.

3. Donald Trump and his future

Nowadays, Tulsi Pan Masala and Shahi Deluxe are all the rage, but back in the days, Naz ruled. The video shows a couple whose entire love story seems to start and end with this little packet of joy.

The best part is when the girl slowly opens her hand to reveal the pan masala in her palm; we love the way she opens it with two jerks.

Did you sincerely believe that we would compose a list of the top 10 memorable Pakistani advertisements, and forget to include this little gem of a piece? Understandably, this commercial annoyed a lot of its viewers, who turned to the media years later to broach the subject of this mysterious video.

While WhatsApp users may be able to connect on different devices without a constant phone connection, there is a flaw. This flaw is the deletion of messages. If you deleted a message on the phone, it may not have been necessarily deleted on the tablet or laptop. This shows that the iMessage is still a degree higher than WhatsApp. Even after considerable time passing, there are still updates to be made and features to be added.

Nestlé Pakistan Publishes Sustainability Report On How It Is Creating Shared Value

Nestlé Pakistan recently published its sustainability report for 2020: ‘Nestlé in Society: Creating Shared Value (CSV), highlighting its three main global focus areas: for individuals and families, for communities, and for the planet, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Highlighting Nestlé’s CSV philosophy, Samer Chedid, CEO, Nestlé Pakistan, said, “Creating Shared Value remains the fundamental guiding principle for how we do business. We believe that we will be successful in the long term by creating value for both our shareholders and for society.”

“The health of our company is intrinsically linked to the health and resilience of the society we operate in; this is why Nestlé’s purpose is to unlock the power of food to enhance quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come” Chedid added.

Chedid further pointed out Nestlé Pakistan’s CSV initiatives were geared towards addressing the challenges faced by the country. “We are taking steps and introducing various initiatives in our manufacturing units and beyond, to exhibit Respect for the Future. Our global focus areas are firmly embedded in our purpose, and our efforts in each of these areas are in line with the UN SDGs,” Chedid said.

The year 2020 witnessed the COVID-19 pandemic which had a profound impact across the globe as well as in Pakistan. Nestlé Pakistan supported vulnerable communities through product donations that included 4 million servings of milk, iron fortified dairy products, baby cereals, water and juice to meet the nutritional needs of both affectees and frontline workers.

The report highlights programs like The Nestlé for Healthier Kids (N4HK) program, which has reached out to more than 250,000 children this year, training over 1300 teachers on nutrition awareness in 310 schools across the country, in line with UN SDG 3 (Good Health & Well Being).

Another CSV project, the Nestlé-BISP Rural Women Sales Program, under the government’s Ehsaas program, has helped more than 1500 BISP beneficiaries work as rural sales agents. Meanwhile, Nestlé Pakistan’s partnership with Akhuwat to improve beneficiaries’ access to microfinancing, has enabled 147 rural women scale up their microenterprises, as part of Nestlé’s commitment to UN SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and 8 (Decent Work & Economic Growth).

Talking about Nestlé Pakistan’s other sustainability initiatives, Waqar Ahmad, Head of Corporate Affairs & Sustainability, Nestlé Pakistan said, “Our Global Sustainability Roadmap focuses on four pillars, Climate Change; Sustainable Packaging; Caring for Water and Responsible Sourcing.”

“We are working hard to achieve a waste-free future by ensuring that 100% of our packaging is recyclable or reusable by 2025 and remain committed to tackling climate change by reducing our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 (by half) and achieving net zero by 2050,” he said.

Water is a shared and precious resource to be managed sustainably by all users. Geared towards water stewardship, Nestlé Pakistan’s ‘Caring for Water – Pakistan’ initiative with organizations such as LUMS, UVAS, WWF Pakistan, SDPI and PARC has helped save 428 million liters of water in 2020 by installing drip irrigation system on 152 acres, in line with UN SDG 6 and 17.

“To help realize our vision for a waste-free future, we are accelerating our actions to tackle packaging waste. We also partnered with the World Bank Group and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government to launch “Travel Responsibly for Experiencing Ecotourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (TREK)” for promoting Responsible Tourism through awareness campaigns and training of local communities,” Waqar added.

The company continued with the Clean Hunza Project in partnership with district administration, Gilgit-Baltistan Waste Management Company, and Karakoram Area Development Organization. The project focuses on waste segregation and recycling system for Hunza and Gilgit by encouraging waste management of plastics to make Hunza and Gilgit waste-free and promote sustainable tourism in the region.

Some even say that she is so cruel that she would bathe in her victims’ blood. Upon being caught, she did not get any trial and was put in a small room. She died after four years.

2. Adolf Hitler

Hitler does not need any introduction. He was responsible for the massacres of the jews. And the hurt of the Nazis, his followers, stays there even now. He was so evil that he did not think the jews were humans. Just the gas experiments were responsible for the murder of 300,000 people.

3. Mary I of England

Responsible for killing numerous protestants, Mary I of England was called the Bloody Mary. Even though she aimed to restore Catholicism within England, the punishments for those she considered heretics were plain awful. 4. Vlad Dracula

Belonging to Britain, Myra and her partner were responsible for the Moor murders that happened in the 1960s. They would kidnap, sexually torture, and murder children. She did not show any remorse until the very end.

6. Ivan The Terrible

Ivan from Russia lived in the 1500s. From childhood, he was pure evil throwing animals from tall buildings. When a teenager, he started killing humans. When an adult, he began doing massacres and burning whole villages and cities. The type of killings he would order ranged from beheading, strangling, hanging, blinding, burning, stabbing, among other punishments, and he would like to watch it happen.

7. Amelia Dyer

Amelia Dyer is noted to have murdered more than 400 babies during the victorian era. She called it baby farming, where she would convince single and young mothers to let her take care of the babies. The bodies would be dumped in the Thames River.

8. Attila the Hun

Attila, the Hun, nicknamed Attila the Scourge of God, was so evil that he murdered and ate his own sons and brothers. If people would ask him for mercy, he would still kill them. People considered him the punishment of God for their wrongdoings. When a woman refused his hand in marriage, he killed her and 11,000 of her companions.

9. Aileen Wuornos

Aileen was a prostitute who would kill and rob men. When she was caught, she claimed that she did it in self-defense. But it was later revealed that he intentionally killed all six of them. She was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

The handsome serial killer exploited his looks by picking up girls on the roadside. They would willingly get in his car, and that’s why he was caught way later in the timeline.
