Amazon Business Centre Of Imarat Group Declared “Software Technology Park” By The Ministry Of IT

The management of the Imarat Group of Companies signed an MOU with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) on Thursday, the 20th of May 2021 to launch a “Software Technology Park” inside the premises of the Amazon Mall located on GT road near DHA II. The Amazon Business Centre is now declared as a Software Technology Park by the PSEB under the Ministry of IT.

Imarat Group of Companies is one of Pakistan’s leading real estate groups. The Group has to its credit more than 8 projects in the capital amounting to construction over 10 million square feet. The Amazon Mall is one of its profound projects as it is Pakistan’s first of its kind, outlet mall. Leadership at the Imarat Group have always been strong advocates of the many advantages of technology in the real estate sector.

The management at the Imarat Group have gladly agreed on providing space spanned across 3 floors to the Ministry of IT, to develop a one-of-a-kind software technology park. The aim is to bring in professionals from the industry to work towards boosting Pakistan’s tech industry and sector. PSEB being a facilitator of the IT industry shall market and extend all possible support in populating the software technology park as per the MOU.

The MOU signing took take place in the Ministry of IT during which the secretary of IT, Mr. Shoaib Ahmad Saddiqui was present. The signatories included Chairman Imarat Group of Companies Mr. Shafiq Akbar and Managing Director of the PSEB Mr. Osman Nasir. Group Directors Mr. Farhan Javed and Mr. Sharjeel Ehmer from the Imarat Group were also present.

Mr. Shafiq Akbar expressed his belief in technology being the future. He stressed on how we must adapt technologies like blockchain and artificial intelligence to the real estate sector in Pakistan and how other sectors of the country can also benefit from it. He said “With this partnership, we aim to bring the best of RE technologies like blockchain, digital mapping, artificial intelligence algorithms in Pakistan, this will not only revolutionize the way realtors work but will also remove malpractices from the Industry”.

The parties are hopeful that this venture together will lift not just the real estate industry but also other sectors of Pakistan via technology and aid in growth of the country’s GDP.

We make quite a lot of fun when our politicians are invited to foreign political shows. The conversation that ensues often traps them and we get entertained. But today, when the CNN anchor made an irresponsible remark we learned how ignorant and biased even the anchors can be.

CNN Interview with Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs

In a recent interview with CNN, Pakistani Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi was asked to comment on the Israel-Gaza conflict. In response to the question that Bianna Golodryga asked, Qureshi said that Israel is losing out in the war of media. He said that Israel has lost control of the narrative which is a huge victory considering they have been controlling it thanks to their ‘deep pocket’. At this, the CNN anchor makes an irresponsible, unsolicited comment, “I would call that an antisemitic remark.”

Wait, hold on! Let’s back it up.

What is anti-semitic?

Anti-semitism literally is prejudice and discrimination against Jews.

Now, let’s look at Qureshi’s statement once again. He said Israel is losing out, and not the jews. Take a look at the video below.

It is quite clear that (a) the anchor is equating Jews with Israel; (b) she is making the crimes against humanity seem like a religious war; (c) instigate into a verbal slur on national media; (d) restore the loss of Zionist narrative.

Addressing the points

Addressing the first two points; Palestine does not just have Muslims. Sure, it is a Muslim majority country, but it also houses people from Christianity, Samaritanism, and Druze. Exactly, the same way, Israel is not only jews. It houses several other religions including Muslims. This is why the conflict is not religious. It is political, geographical, and conflict for power that Israel wants to impose on Palestine. Yes, the Israeli government is Jewish but some Jewish citizens themselves are retaliating against their government for this.

To address the third and fourth points we will have to look at the recent events. When social media erupted in support of Palestinians, the Zionist narrative Israel was taking took a backseat. Now, what is Zionism? Zionism started from establishing a homeland for homeless jews kicked out from Germany as well as their current allies. They decided to steal from the only ones who gave them refuge, the Palestinians. This is to reiterate, not all jews are zionists.

The Twitter user accurately summarizes the situation. He says that the anchor is twisting Qureshi’s perfectly non-religious statement as anti-semitic. This only shows that Israel does have deep pockets and controls the media.

Palestinians have been suffering at the hands of Israel for ages now but no barriers war started 11 days ago. In this war, the Zionist government of Israel had bombarded the only covid lab in Palestine; killed the only medical head in the fight against covid; and destroyed the only road leading to a hospital. In this fight, numerous kids were also killed.

Not to mention, Israel had also destroyed Al-Jazeera headquarters in Palestine, the only media source giving the Palestinian side of the story to the world. It would have meant that Israel would monopolize the narrative. However, with the power of social media and the Palestinians urging the world, people around the world heard their plight.

Pakistani actor Ali Ansari has posted a video on his Instagram regarding the Palestine-Israel issue. Now, it is good but partially flawed. To understand why we believe this, we will have to explore his message first.

Ali Ansari took to his Instagram saying that all those posts on social media about Palestine are useless, at least according to him. He said, instead of just posting on these platforms, he has teamed up with an organization in the UK that sends donations to Palestine. He has donated too and he was urging his followers to do the same.

What’s more, is that he presented the breakup of what the donations can provide to the Palestinians on ground. For those people who are losing not just their lives but basic utilities too, this would definitely be great. And he has quite a following so he will definitely be able to reach the financial goal he set.

Flawed, how?

If this is all so great then why do we think it’s flawed? He is terming social media posts about atrocities against the Palestinians useless. But the fact is, he started this donation drive after becoming aware of the Palestinians through this very social media. Plus, this oppression of Palestine is not a new topic. It has been going on for years. It is thanks to social media that most of the world is talking about it in one voice.

Moreover, he is assuming that everyone can donate. Most people want to help but not everyone can afford to give financial help given their own expenses and socioeconomic status.

But all of these reasons take a back seat. The foremost reason is that it is the Palestinians who want the world to spread the evidence of their sufferings. They want the whole world to know so that the world could take notice and put pressure on Israel to stop the genocide.

Comfort zone is an interesting phenomenon. This zone can be anything relating to your routine, your radius, your food choice, the genres you watch, among other things. While some people try to venture out of their comfort zone and be adventurous, some principles should be respected as well, a case in point being the recently viral Strawberry Biryani.

Images of the Strawbiryani, or the Strawberry Biryani, were posted on Twitter by a desi. By the wordings of the tweet, it clearly means he was aware of the atrocity he was pulling, so it was a preplanned thing to trigger the masses. Why else would someone mess with the one dish not that just one country but the whole of the sub-continent loves?

Although this doesn’t look like strawberries were added in the cooking process. It seems as if it was added to garnish and take images. The caption for the tweet did read, “… I am curious to know what desi Twitter has to say about it.”

Twitter reacts

Since he actually did ask for it, the desi Twitter gave it to him without any limits. Among other things, Saad, the tweet person, was called out on his desperation of attention-seeking.

Others were just horrified at this; they didn’t have words to express their feelings. Or, they had extremely violent ideas to express them. Let’s not go to that extreme now, shall we?

Some people were good at observing, and even though a picture, you can figure out if something was added after you give dum to biryani or before. So they were quick on picking up that this picture was released into the world to freak others out. In reality, the biryani would not have any taste or smell of the strawberry. Does that make one not offended? Not really.

In the end, people were down to giving Saad advice; that he still has time to delete the post. The time is long past, though. The horrific picture has already circulated all over. It’s time to deal with the aftermath.

Hopefully, no other adventurers would venture out of their comfort zone and play around with biryani.

Dvago, a pharmacy business with stores all over as well as the availability of delivery options, has made a mark for itself. But a few days back, it was brought up on social media in a negative context. However, unlike many other companies, Dvago took it as constructive criticism and not as an insult.

What actually happened?

The post by one of the netizens contained a few pictures that featured a security guard stationed outside a Dvago store. The outlet was situated in Model Colony, Liaquat Ali Khan Road to be specific. Not just that, he is sitting on a cardboard piece sprawled on the floor.

Ahsan Asif, the netizen who first took the issue to the internet, said that he will not buy anything from Dvago until they take action.

Dvago Heard!

Not only did Dvago heard this but they immediately got into action. They did not deny it, rather they accepted their mistake. Moreover, they arranged for chairs for all their security guards. Aside from that, they ensured the guards were sitting or standing under shade to get protection from the sun. Considering they are a health & wellness brand, it is nice to see them prioritizing exactly that for their employees as well.

They also assured the public that they will be mindful of this in the future because their staff is important to them.

Considering Karachi went through an extreme heatwave it’s nice to see that they reacted in time. Furthermore, gone are the times when potential consumers wanted to feel like royals. When they see ill-treated employees at their expense, consumers do not like it.

Study Proves That Women Are Better Drivers Than Men

This might offend some men out there, but it is what it is.

What you’re about to read is genuinely based on research and facts. So, brace yourselves.

As much as this is a debatable topic, contrary to the sexist stereotype, it seems women are better drivers than men, according to a new study. According to a study in the UK conducted by insurance site confused.com, it revealed that 585,000 people convicted of breaking the law on roads in England and Wales in 2018. Out of which, 79% of them were men.

It also revealed that women commit fewer driving offenses and are more likely to obey the laws, including getting into fewer car accidents. It concluded that men outnumbered women by almost 4:1! It turned out that only 21% of women broke the law while driving compared to 79% of men. The most common offenses made by men were for speeding, which was 24%, and driving without insurance 17%.

That’s not all. Almost one in four (23%) male motorists admit that they choose not to indicate when switching lanes, compared to more than one in six (17%) women. Also, men are more likely to tailgate another driver.

On a lighter note: Although the research may have proved that women are less likely to break the rules, it also showed that it takes them longer to reach a place.

Considering that bitcoin value had fluctuated in the past as well due to Elon Musk’s tweets about it, people expressed concerns about their validity too.

In fact, people have started schooling the CEO accusing him of being the reason their life became all shambles. One music critic who is a verified figure with millions of followers replied to one of Elon Musk’s tweets saying he has lost everything and has become homeless. He said he will never be able to meet his kids again.

A Compound In Palestine Faces Havoc During ‘Adhan’

These days, Palestine is under quite a lot of heavy fire from Israel. Many are referring to it as a conflict but conflicts are two-sided. All Palestine is trying to do is defend itself, whereas Israel is doing the attacks. They won’t let the people sleep in peace nor let their children roam free. In recent news, another attack took place during Adhan.

Yes, it is when there was a call to prayer being held. No person in Palestine thinks they’re safe because of the constant attacks and unpredictable methods of the Israelis. The people are praying every single moment of the day and are hoping for any form of outside help. The people need our help and they need it fast!

Moments Of Peace

As you will see in the video below, there was a moment of peace in Gaza. During the time of Adhan, it almost felt as if the whole place was wrapped in tranquillity. There was not a bird in sight and it felt that everyone was praying at home. However, that was not to be as you can see.

Suddenly, the ground seemed to shake and there was dust in the atmosphere. Before we knew it, a building in the region exploded and there was smoke and fire above it. After a while, the second wave of attack landed on the same location, causing an even greater fire. Right before the Adhan was over, the third wave of attack landed on that same location.

Chaos During Adhan

This shows that Palestinians are not safe even during times of prayer. The oppressors could attack at any moment because of their blatant disregard for human life. It takes a special lack of soul and heart to attack someone like this. Apparently, the target of the attack was the Ansar Government Compound.

We are not sure of the casualties yet but we will update you as soon as we find out. From the footage, it does seem that there may have been casualties or fatalities, although we are hoping otherwise.

The Oppression Continues

This attack is yet another in a long line of many to grip the country. Just some days ago, we saw the Israelis dropping bombs on school buildings and residential buildings too. Then, they also destroyed the only covid testing centre in Gaza. Now, covid testing in the country has completely stopped.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Palestine and we are trying to help them the best we can. Despite there being so much destruction, Palestine’s influence on social media is positively growing. This is good because their voice is being heard. Israel wanting to shut down Palestine content from social media is yet another thing that shows we are doing the right thing.

We urge you to not stop fighting for Palestine. God knows that those people are not stopping either!
