Alizeh Shah released her first single ever, and the internet is coming for her.

This year on Eid, we got to see some new music releases in the Pakistani music industry. The new name emerged on the music charts, and it’s none other than our favorite Alizeh Shah. Alizeh released a song in collaboration with Sahir Ali Bagga. The song is titled ‘Badnamiyan,’ and we must say, it takes us back to the 90’s era with its old-school vibe.

Alizeh was getting so much love from the netizens over her portrayal of an independent college girl in a Ramzan special Tanna Banna. However, soon after the music video release, people criticize Alizeh for switching her persona.

Backlash On The Music Video

People took to the internet to post a range of comments which sounds harsh. Some commented how the song is tasteless and tacky, while others criticized the choice of clothing she opted for in the music video. Some of the comments read:

“That was a waste of my 2 minutes…Not vocally gifted/talented, contrived performance, tacky and tasteless styling. Even Bagga couldn’t keep her afloat…”

At the same time, some mentioned how the voice is autotuned to the extent that it doesn’t even look like her voice.

KU To Conduct Online Classes, Examinations As Per Schedule

[Update]: Karachi University had conducted online classes for some time due to COVID. But as the fear of covid dwindled, it resumed physical classes. But the third wave has been deadly. The government had to impose lockdown even during eid. This is why universities including KU are being instructed to resume online classes.

Basically, in-person classes are all suspended. All classes will be held online. Modified timing for all university personnel has been announced for both, morning as well as evening, programs.

The notification also says that the exams will be held as per schedule. So, no postponing. However, the authorities will be deciding on the mode of exams after 15th June 2021.

KU Is All Geared Up For Online Classes Amidst COVID-19

As educational institutes are now changing the way they operate, more and more schools, colleges, and universities are slowly moving towards online classes. Just recently, the University of Karachi has also announced to conduct online classes.

On Wednesday, a meeting was held in this regard at the KU Vice Chancellor (VC) Secretariat. In the meeting, KU VC Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood Iraqi said,

“We need to ensure that the learning process continues. Given the number of students at the University of Karachi, we need to make sure that our house is in order before we start online classes. We do not want to go for any misadventure in this regard,”

He further added,

What we need is a well-thought-out strategy to enable each and every student to learn and meet the course learning objectives.”

Moreover, the meeting was also attended by KU Registrar Prof Dr. Saleem Shahzad, all the deans, Students’ Adviser Dr. Syed Asim Ali, Main Communication Network Incharge Prof Dr. Sadiq Ali Khan, and Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Deputy Director Jawaid Akram. The agenda of the meeting was to plan and strategize how the online classes can be made better for teachers and students.

It was decided that Karachi University would incorporate the Learning Management System as their online learning platform within two weeks while the varsity’s QEC would prepare tutorial content for the students and videos for commonly used online learning tools like Zoom, Adobe Connect, and others.

All educational institutions will remain closed for the next three weeks amidst the threat of the ongoing pandemic on orders of the federal government. However, the HEC Chairperson has stated that studies would not be compromised during school closure.

The HEC has launched online classes for university and college students across the country. During the three weeks, the teachers would be giving lectures online as mentioned by Chairperson, Tariq Banuri.

According to the HEC, an online learning management system will be introduced in more than 70 classes and a team of experts will also be formed.

Banuri further mentioned,

“Institutions that don’t have these systems will get them installed within two weeks.”

It has been decided that the list of all the online classes would be compiled and would then be aired on television. The teachers would also be provided with an online evaluation system for grading purposes.

In order for online learning to take place, students and teachers both need to have access to the internet. HEC Chairperson also spoke about what they would be doing in case someone does not have access.

“We will also ensure that internet services are provided to all those areas that don’t have service and modern technological systems are installed there”

As technology has progressed immensely, various apps and tools have been invented for the ease of online teaching worldwide. The ‘google classroom’ and ‘Zoom’ are some of the apps currently being used all over the world where schools have been shut down to curb the coronavirus outbreak.

Yasir Hussain Nausheen Shah controversy began from none other than Vasay Chaudhary’s show Ghabrana Mana Hai. Much happened since then and both parties made comments but eventually, it all died down. However, in one of the Eid Special Shows, new information was uncovered which changed the whole outlook of the feud. And this information was conveyed by another renowned celebrity, Pakistani Film & TV Director, Nadeem Baig.

A little backstory

When Yasir Hussain was invited to the show, Vasay asked him questions relating to his past social media posts. But in between asking those questions, Vasay asked him if there were any uninvited guests at the wedding. Now this question is too specific and not every recently married celebrity gets asked this question but people did not pay much attention to it. And considering Yasir actually gave an answer, that attracted more attention.

By naming Nausheen Shah, he gave people a lot of content to talk about, and Nausheen jumping into clarifying her stance made the issue bigger. Nausheen said that no one goes uninvited to a wedding and she has proof that she was invited. To that, Yasir claimed that he had screenshots to prove his side of the story as well. No party revealed any evidences, however. But Yasir went on to take a jab at Vasay’s show. He called them wannabe copies of Koffee With Karan and that it was these shows and the host at fault and not him because they were asking questions that led to rivalries.

And now, the story at hand!

Nadeem Baig decided to clear himself of the blame at Nida Yasir’s eid show when asked about gossip on Yasir Hussain. He said that it was not Vasay who asked the question but it was Yasir who requested it. He even said that they had no idea he was going to take Nausheen’s name. Check out this clip.

Another Video Of Flying UFO Leaves People Clueless

Online footage goes viral showing a spherical object flying (UFO) in the air before disappearing into the ocean. The video, which was taken in July 2019, gained attention on social media. However, investigative filmmaker Jeremy Corbell shared it on May 14.

“The US Navy photographed and filmed “spherical” shaped UFOs and advanced trans medium vehicles. Here is some of that footage,” he wrote with the video. He also added that the object was 6 feet in diameter, moving at speeds between 46 mph-158 mph.

He filmed the CIC (Combat Information Center) footage of the USS Omaha on July 15th, 2019, in a warning area off San Diego. This footage depicts a UAP event series that reached a crescendo with one of the unknown targets entering the water. “No wreckage was found. None of the unknown craft was recovered,” he added.

“We do not know if the Navy or Pentagon might be willing to say about the USS Omaha incident. However, we are confident the incident is a legitimate mystery and look forward to whatever information might be forthcoming,” he concluded.

According to reports, the Pentagon has confirmed the authenticity footage taken aboard the USS Omaha and has said it is being investigated by the Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon Task Force (UAPTF).

“I can confirm that the Navy personnel has the video, and they include it in their ongoing examinations.” Spokesperson Susan Gough said in an email.

Sara mentioned how Falak and their siblings met in a meeting before the wedding took place. “Our wedding took place in a hurry within three months,” added Sara. She was mentioning how the wedding was postponed due to the COVID situation in the country.

Sara then responded to a question from Nadia that if there were any restrictions imposed from Falak after the proposal. In response to which she mentioned, “I never had any restrictions from my family, and my father chose someone like himself”. She further added, ‘how Falak treats her exactly how her father used to treat her mother.’

Humans have a tendency to engage themselves in various social interactions. Be it a friend, a teacher, a lover, every relationship is built on solid works. There are pillars of any relationship that determine how sturdy it really is. If the foundation is built on flimsy material, it will topple, without a doubt.

Of course, not every metaphor can be construction related. The relationship can become toxic too. It will not seem like it at first, but there are always signs, red flags. These are signs that are warning you to cut yourself loose. So why don’t we look at some ways we can easily dodge a toxic relationship.

1. Your values are important

It slowly disintegrates the connection between two people. Its bad if one of the people engages in such activity but its worse if both of them are doing the same.

If they lie to you regularly, call them out on it. End the toxic relationship before it spins out of control. The truth can initially hit harder but, on the long run, it brings two people closer. Refraining from the truth is the equivalent of driving a wedge between a piece of wood, but not splitting it all the way through.

3. Vibes and Gut Feelings are Real

There are times when you may find yourself having these gut feeling that something may be wrong. Maybe you feel uncomfortable in their presence. Maybe they trigger a sense of fear in you. How do you feel when they leave? Do you not feel safe around them? This is a high flying red flag when it comes to toxic relationships. If the other person gives off a vibe that is just not sitting well with you, check why that is. Maybe they harbour feelings that are dishonest. A person who appears friendlier to you but treats others unjustly, is not a just person.

Realme 5i is a phone that is almost perfect on a budget. It features a Quad camera array, with one of the lenses being Macro and another being a Wide-angle. It has a cosmos level 5000maH battery, which can easily last up to and beyond two days. So what about the processor?

The phone features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. This is barely a couple of generations earlier than the 800series. The phone even had 64GB storage and 4GB Ram. All this, in a budget price of Rs.24, 500. (price can be lower depending on retailer) Its Antutu Score on Kimovil is 170, which gives the Samsung S8 score a run for its money!

3. Motorola Moto E 2020

Motorola is one of the oldest players in the cell phone game. They have been running this race for many years and continue to do so. They started from Antenna based wireless phones and have not dived into smartphones too. The Motorola Moto E 2020 is a budget smartphone that houses a powerful processor. This processor is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 632. Running at eight cores with them performing at 1.8Ghz, the phone is a small beast.

All of this at a price of Rs.24, 999. However, there is a point to be noted that Motorola phones have a difficult re-sale. So there is a good chance that any unit of this phone you get is either new or barely used.

The A21 is a phone that is yet to release, but its specifications are already out.

One cannot end this list without actually mentioning a second Realme phone. This phone is a step higher than Realme 5. However, it comes with a slightly higher budget too. It features an impressive display and quite a powerful Quad camera array, with the rear measuring at 64MP total.

The Processor housed by this phone is the Meditek Helio G90T. This is quite an impressive phone since it does not allow room for heating up or hanging. The price of this phone is marked at Rs.35 000 (price can vary depending on retailer)

8 Ways You Can Make Your Food Healthier With These Substitutes

During the ongoing pandemic, I had some time on my hands to read up on healthy food alternatives that can be easily replaced in our diet. These substitutes are readily available in the market and can be ordered from your usual grocery store.

Once you incorporate these ingredients into your diet, you will feel a difference in energy levels throughout the day, and that’s not it! You might even see a substantial difference on the weighing scale in a few months.

I have tried and tested these substitutes and witnessed increased productivity throughout my days. Let’s have a look at these fantastic ingredients.

1- One of my staple foods is Pasta. My pantry usually has all kinds of Pasta at all times, and I can stir up a bowl within a few minutes and can eat it daily but with a lot of guilt.

Did you know you can eat a bowl of Pasta without the guilt? Yes, you heard that right. Just replace all the Pasta in your pantry with whole wheat pasta, and you’re good to go!

2- Brown Sugar is one of my favorite sweeteners these days. Be it baking, tea, or even some stir-fried beef stripes; brown sugar has won my heart. Please note that other kinds of processed sweeteners are not great for your health.

3- Choose multigrain or whole wheat bread instead of your usual flour bread as a breakfast option. There are more calories in the multigrain/whole wheat bread, but it has more nutrients and fiber. It keeps you full for longer and curbs cravings.

4- Use egg whites only! I love whole eggs, but they tend to have too many calories and also increase your blood pressure. Skip the yolk, and stir up four egg whites as breakfast or a mid-day snack as the whites are loaded with protein.

5- Skim milk over full-fat milk: Not everyone is lactose tolerant, but if you are and wish to consume dairy, try getting your hands on skim milk as it cuts down your calories significantly.

6- Low-fat cheese is the way to go! I do not think you need to consume cheese every single day! It makes you super sleepy and fuller than you’d like on a working day, but in case you are, choose low-fat instead of full-fat.

7- Incorporate brown rice instead of white. Firstly, as soon as you consume white rice, you would want to nap; secondly, not high on a day, you wish to be productive and get things done. Skip the rice, curb cravings with the brown rice.

8- So many recipes ask for flour, which is unhealthy. Try to use whole wheat flour in your recipes as it is a healthier alternative.

Pro tip: Try consuming superfoods!
