Though it may have been best for them, there’s no saying their fans were not heartbroken. Each person has their ‘OTP’ – one true pair that they truly love. Can you spot yours in this tweet?

Syra Khan and Shehroz Sabzwari

Syra and Shehroz had been together for over 10 years. There’s no doubt that Syra was out of her husband’s league, but they looked beyond happy together. People especially loved their videos with their little daughter, Nooreh. She can give her parents a run for their money when it comes to acting!

Twitter ki awam is sad, and they’re expressing it!

The Road of Life Can Diverge

The breaking apart of such couples makes one question commitment as well as love. Were they putting on a show for the public, or was it real? It’s interesting how in 2020 alone, there are a handful of divorces and separations coming, though. The elders say that today, no one knows how to sustain relationships. However, it’s also true that one never needs to sustain relationships at the cost of their happiness.

Is there true love really is what people are asking, and unfortunately, we’re out of answers. It seems each person has a different journey they set on, and the road of life can diverge at one point.

KU Students Share Their Most-Horrifying Stories

horror stories

Tired of hearing about the Karsaz wali Dulhan? Well, we bring to you yet again, an installment of our campus horror stories. This time we decided to cover the horror stories of Karachi University. Although the university has lots of departments, the place is so huge that there is much empty land. And where is vacant, abandoned land, there is supernatural. Isn’t there? So let’s see what KU has to tell us concerning that.

1. The Dead Student

While Karachi University is bustling with life during the day, it is very peaceful and silent at nightfall. Almost scary. Even those students who have to stay behind for their evening programs prefer to stay in crowded places. It is mostly because areas drowned in darkness make them feel a supernatural presence. And this vibe gets very serious in the quiet of the night going from KUBS to the Maskan gate.

horror stories

People have reported that first, you smell a strong perfume, and you can feel someone walking alongside you even though there is no one there. At other times you see a girl with books in her hands. Another girl reported that she felt a hand grab her shoulder. When she turned, there was no one.

Considering it all started after a female student was raped, murdered, and thrown in the bushes on the Maskan road, it is logical to say that it is the ghost of the dead girl.

2. Kabootar

It is understood that supernatural entities take on the shape of animals at times. And that is why we have heard so many stories about people passing comment on a stray cat, and the cats reply.

Well, a similar strange story was reported by a KU student. A girl says that she went to her class where there was a pigeon. The pigeon looked at her and kept staring without breaking eye contact or even fidgeting, which the pigeon should have been doing. They felt creeped out.

In the meantime, a cat came into the room. She attacked the pigeon and ate him. It would have been a very anti-climactic story had the cat not been discovered dead the next day.

3. The UBIT legend

UBIT has quite many legends. There is that one female ghost for everyplace so we are going to ignore that. But among the many horror stories, we found one about the basement.

A professor told his students that the basement has remained empty for decades ever since the professor residing there passed away. So it was better if no one ventured in.

But students, they never listen. So a couple of students went into the dusty, closed-off basement quarters. They swear there was no one in that pitch dark room. And yet they heard someone walk by. They left running.

There are other such stories and places all over KU. One of the most haunted places in the university is the area behind the girls’ hostel. Check them out if you want adventure, or avoid these places if you are scared. Happy haunting!

7 Ingredients From Your Iftar Table That You Can Use As Face Masks

From Pakoras to Dahi Baray to Chola chaat to lemonade – these items are all staples in your average iftar. While we can debate how great all of these items are for your health, one thing’s for sure: some of these ingredients can be excellent for your skin as well.

While we’re stuck at home unable to go to the spa, why not try and give some of these ingredients a chance to do wonders on your skin?

Have a look at the below ingredients that are just a cupboard or a refrigerator away from you and can give you that flawless skin that you’ve been looking for.

1. Gram flour

Source/ beautyhealthtips.in

Besan is more than just a crucial ingredient for your yummy pakoras. It does wonders for your skin and hair! One of the crucial advantages of besan for your skin is that it acts as a natural de-tanner. Try a DIY mask of besan which includes yoghurt, turmeric (Haldi), and lemon, and you can get rid of the tan on your skin with time.

Besan is also amazing for your hair! Mix it in with olive oil for a good hair mask to restore shine and get long thick long hair.

2. Chickpeas

Source/ Vaya.in

Aside from having them in Chola chaat, you take all the advantage of the nutrients in chickpeas and make yourself an anti-ageing mask. Chickpeas are loaded with fibre and special substances like manganese that aid in the reduction of wrinkles. All you need to do is boil some chickpeas, mash them up and add enough water to make a paste, leave it on for 15 minutes and wash with tap water.

3. Yoghurt

Source/ Steptohealth

Yoghurt is one of the prominent names on this list. It is full of probiotics and helps combat the majority of skin problems. It, not only moisturizes, but also fights acne, prevents premature ageing, relieves sunburn, and reduces discolouration.

Just whip it up and slather it on to your skin. Combine it up with other ingredients such as honey, lemon, or rose water to attain the best results!

Secondly, yoghurt is amazing for your hair. Just infuse it with thick oil and let the mask get rid of dandruff, soothes itchy scalps, nourish hair, provide shine, and a lot more. You can mix it with egg to get that shiny hair as well.

4. Tamarind

Source/ Stylecraze

Imli is not only lip-smacking but also is perfect for brightening up dull skin. You can make a natural scrub with the pulp of boiled Tamarind and adding in with salt (preferably pink or rock salt). Scrub away rough skin and let the vitamins C and B3 give your skin that boost of a healthy glow.

Don’t forget that Tamarind can be slightly harsh on your skincare if not used appropriately; don’t use it raw. Boil it to the pulp and then use that on your skin. The boiled tamarind water is also great for oily hair.

5. Lemon

Source/ healthline

While this magic ingredient completes more than half of your iftar dishes, it is also a natural astringent.

Just slice up a lemon, add it in sugar for natural scrub and apply on your lips to remove the hyperpigmentation on them or mix lemon with honey to acquire the flawless skin. You can also mix lemon and milk and apply that on your face with a cotton ball.

6. Honey

Source/ Dawn

Honey has antibacterial properties, which means it’s great for all skin types but a necessity for those with acne-prone skin. It does magic even alone and is commonly used as a base for many masks. Since it is a natural ingredient, you can trade-in your sleeping pack for it instead and wake up to fresh skin.

7. Oatmeal:

Oatmeal or porridge is an excellent alternative for the health-conscious during iftar, but it’s also miraculous for sensitive or irritated skin. It’s relatively simple if you have any porridge leftover, just slather it on your face. The texture of porridge is already perfect for a natural beauty mask. It is also great to counter redness and inflammation.

5 Cool Things You Didn’t Know Your Apple Watch Could Do!

Apple Watch

The iPhone is not the only product that comes out of Apple’s factories. Of course, the company started with computers and then started a tangential journey towards phones, but more. Despite the tangent, Apple still releases MacBooks and Mac Desktop Computers too. Coming to the smaller gadgets, Apple specializes in earphones and watches too. So, if you already knew that, you might be an owner of the AirPods or the Apple Watch. But, there may be features of the watch you might be unaware of. Let us look at some of them.

Apple Smart Watch

1. Vehicle Caretaker

With the turn of 2020, as of now, vehicle technology is moving forward quite well. One can turn the Car ON or OFF with the press of the button. They can open and close doors too. So how does the Apple Watch fit in this scenario? Well, what the watch does is it allows the user to track the status of the vehicle. Parameters like tire pressure, fuel gauge are all a tap away. So make sure you check that PSI on your smartwatch before heading out on the road trip!

Apple Car Talking Smart

2. Take a deep breath

We all know that a lot of smartwatches can track heart pumping. They can monitor your blood pressure and give warnings if it goes too low or too high. But what about your breathing? Can there be a way to track that? Look no further because the Apple Watch does exactly that! One of the symptoms of Covid 19 is the shortness of breath. So if you’re already experiencing other symptoms and then your watch warns you of irregular breathing, you know what to do.

Similarly, an approaching Panic Attack can be preceded by the shortness of one’s breath. The watch can be helpful there too.

3. Music Control

Ever feel too lazy to get up and adjust the speaker volume? Wish you could change that track sitting from the comfort of your bed? Prepare to be baffled as we tell you that the Apple Watch has this feature too! You can sit back and adjust all the volume you want, so long as the other end has a Bluetooth connection.

Change tracks and cycle through your playlist with ease.

4. Screenshot Availability

Is there something that you wish to remember for later? Did you write something using your Apple Watch that you want to save? Well, the device allows the feature of screenshots as well. The screenshot feature is one of the most important features of smartphones today. Not just information, you come across a good meme, you have to snap it!

The screenshot is even one of the most asked questions about the watch. So let us put that query at rest by telling you that a screenshot is possible.

5. Aqua Eject!

As we all know, devices today are made to be water-resistant. From watches to phones, a lot of devices are being made to withstand dips. Samsung Note 8 is one of the best water-resistant phones. It can even survive dips in salt seawater and falls, which end in water. So what does the Apple Watch have to offer here?

The watch houses a feature which ejects water from the device itself on its own. Sensors present within the Apple Watch itself detect water content. Once beyond the threshold, it automatically drains the water from itself. How far have we come?

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Might Actually Look Like This! [View Image]

Update: Earlier, we shared a leaked image of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 which had been leaked on Weibo (image below). However, the authenticity of the picture was very much in question as the image had surfaced on April 1st, hinting it was just an April fools prank.

But, designer Benjamin Geskin has shared his version of the Note 8 concept, and the resemblance is just too much! According to him, the Note 8 looks something like this;

According to him, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will be approximately 6.4-inch 4K Infinity Display (18:9 ratio) in addition to an on-screen fingerprint scanner, a dual camera setup on the back, and stereo speakers.

A highly plausible features that Samsung could very well introduce with the Note 8 in the second half of the year. We’re still not sure how the S-Pen will fit inside a phone which might be just so thin, but that’s up to its clever designers and engineers to solve.

Samsung has yet again created massive hype, and this time it’s not the Galaxy S8, it’s the Note 8! A viral image of what seems to be the company’s possible flagship phone has surfaced on the internet and is going viral.

While the Galaxy S8 was just unveiled last month, it seems as if the Note 8 is not too far away from being showcased soon itself. Posted in Slashleaks, the picture shows a device quite similar to the Galaxy S8+ along with Samsung’s S Pen.

However, the picture does not provide any product details and source, which has cast sort of a doubt on its legitimacy.

Galaxy-Note-8

The image is a shot of the front of the device with an S Pen laying next to it, obviously trying to imply the stylus goes with the device. However, there is no way to tell from the photo whether the device shown has a slot for the stylus.

Assuming that it is a Note 8, we see that Samsung is bringing the same design cues from the Galaxy S8 to their Note line. That includes the minimal bezels and a front dominated by the screen. The Bixby button is also present and the screenshot shown is highlighting the existence of Bixby on the device.

Unfortunately, no other details were shared with the posting and it should be noted the date of the Weibo posting is April 1st.

Samsung Galaxy S9 Rumours Have Already Hit the Web!

Komal Rizvi Reveals Details About Her Abusive Marriage

Every day, we hear various kinds of news that rise from the pop culture world. Be it the domestic one or the international one, the news can often come as quite a shock. Some pieces of information are regarded as cheerful news and some are seen as dire ones. One may not always have to look quite far when it comes to celebrities. Similarly, Komal Rizvi has recently appeared in an interview. You may have heard of her or seen her in movies before.

She is one of the most impressive and successful actresses to grip the pop culture world. Her films that came out, back in the 90s, are considered as somewhat of an icon. She stands as a representation of a film legend and the epitome of resilience. She recently appeared in an interview where she opened up about some of the details of her marriage. While it may not have been her intention to open up a lot, she did give quite a few points of concern.

Komal Rizvi and her interview

Komal Rizvi Is Resilient

It started off with her explaining that she had not been happy when she was in a six-year marriage with her husband. She was on Nida Yasir’s show as a guest recently. When she was asked about her past marriage, she said that her husband was of an abusive personality. She further said that he was someone who had imprisoned her in the house. He did not provide her with cash, visa or working visa. This sounds like quite a lot of abuse and injustice towards Komal Rizvi.

She also mentioned that he once gave her a black eye and her father showed up to the scene as well. The husband had a tight hold on her daily ongoing and this was a huge source of demotivation for her. Marriage is a binding contract and it means something. If one side is being abusive, it is not a healthy marriage. Omar, the husband, was wrong to do what he did and had no right to do so. Komal Rizvi also said she was not allowed to go anywhere and that she quietly started a cooking business. Eventually, she was able to gather enough to buy deep freezers too.

Supporting Effort

We stand with Komal Rizvi for all that she has endured during her last marriage. Six years can be a long time when it is with someone who does not respect or appreciate you for who you are. We hope that she is doing better now and continues to dazzle the film world with her talent. It takes quite a lot of effort to be able to break society’s chains.

With what she has done, Komal Rizvi has definitely shattered the meaning of giving up and continues to be a role model for women everywhere. We wish her the best of luck for her future plans and hope she makes it even higher in her profession.

Here’s the full interview

Mezan Rekindles The Essence of Islam In Their New Ramadan Campaign

Ramadan Campaign

You know the brand has put in effort when a Ramadan TVC is not entirely revolving around the preparation of iftar, as the cliche usually requires. Mezan’s latest Ramadan campaign is far away from the cliche and yet, it is able to rekindle Ramadan’s essence within the viewer in a powerful way. Featuring a Naat as the TVC’s audio, the ad is a compilation of various lessons that Ramadan aims to re-instill within the Muslim community.

#MezanRamadan TVC

The lessons in the TVC are taught with the help of numerous instances involving a number of people. As you go through these instances, they make an emotional impact on you for it tells you that being a good human does not take a lot of effort. It is simple things that you need to look out for. If you are good and kind at heart, you will help a speechless animal that’s hurting; you will care for a needy neighbor; you will put someone else’s needs above you.

Prophet Mohammad’s (PBUH) Teachings

All these lessons are deeply rooted in the Islamic teachings for they are what the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) taught to us.

“Kindness is a mark of faith, and whoever is not kind has no faith.” (Al-Tirmizi)

“He is not a believer whose neighbor is hungry.” (Sahi Bukhari)

“Best charity is that given by one who has little.” (Sunan Abi Dawood)

But what really moves one in this TVC is that when you do follow the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) and show to Allah that you are genuine, you are rewarded with peace, inner happiness, and above all, someone else will always reciprocate your good deeds.

So for instance, look at the examples shown in the TVC. There is a man in the desert who treats a goat that’s hurt. Then there is a fisherman, who gives what he scored at the sea to his hungry neighbors. Last, but not least, we see a young child who chooses to donate his pocket money instead of getting a ball he really wanted.

You get it all back

In the follow-up scenes, we see Shoaib Akhtar entering the canvas, a former cricketer known for his talent of bowling. The kid who had to let go of his desire for cricket ball gets to play with Shoaib Akhtar. The man who was a kind neighbor gets to eat at the same table with the star. And the shepherd who had tended to the goat, when he felt cold, it was the celebrity who saw that and reciprocated by giving him not only his own shawl but also his time.

Have a look at the ad!

This initiative is the most beautiful one as of yet amongst other Ramadan campaigns. It highlights the essence of Ramadan and serves as a wake-up call to many Muslims who think that to be a good Muslim requires a lot of effort. Instead, it just requires you to genuinely respect the Prophet (PBUH), and when you have that genuine respect, the good comes out of you almost naturally. You need not overdo yourself because at the end of the day #HarCheezMezanMeinAchiLagtiHai.

Babar Azam is a name that needs no introduction. The Pakistani batsman has been able to get a lot of fan following in a short period of time. He has been known for his amazing batting strokes and shots that tirelessly get the ball towards the boundary line. He is often compared to the likes of Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and other legendary batsmen.

Babar Azam, Now Being Sold As A Pasta:

In a series of unusual events, an eatery in Karachi thought it would be nice to name one of their dishes after the Pakistani Cricket Team captain, Babar Azam. As per Instagram influencer Naiha J. Eiman who goes by the username @RebelliousBrownie, Xander’s Cafe had a special item on their menu named after the legendary cricketer, Babar Azam.

In a series of stories posted yesterday, the Instagram influencer showed her pasta and asked her followers to guess the dish she had ordered. After a while, she revealed the name of the “Special Menu” item as “Babar Azam.”

What was meant to be a ladies-day-out ended up becoming a homage to the legendary record-breaking batsmen who are expected to break Virat Kohli’s records later in his career. This comes as no surprise that a restaurant would name a dish after Babar Azam. The 26 years old cricketer has been able to gather a lot of fan-following in a short amount of time worldwide.

Highlights From Babar Azam’s Personal And Professional Career

Born into a Punjabi family in Lahore, Babar Azam quickly rose to prominence and has managed to be referred to as the Virat Kohli of Pakistan. He has been ranked as the top T20 batsman in his career and has been rewarded numerous nationally and internationally. Babar Azam has reached fame at an early age and has been under the spotlight, therefore has often even gotten into some controversies involving a woman.

The cricketer is currently the captain of the Pakistani cricket team, and the fact that one of the well-known eateries would have a dish named after him shows the love Pakistanis have for Babar Azam. This comes as no surprise as we have often seen Pakistanis supporting Karachi Kings due to Babar Azam’s presence in the team and have seen him being compared to Virat Kohli, Hashim Amla, and Sachin Tendulkar.

Top 5 Horrifying Superstitions Pakistanis Believe In!

superstitions

Every culture has their own superstitions. So, for instance, Americans consider 13 to be an unlucky number. Now whoever is superstitious will remove any sign of thirteen. And hence, several apartments do not have a 13 floor. Many airlines do not have a 13 number of seats. Similarly, Pakistanis also have a few superstitions that they believe in. In fact, ‘few’ might be an understatement.

So let’s explore a ‘few’ of them.

1. Don’t go to the roof with long wet hair

You are bound to have heard this one at some point in time. Do not go to the roof at maghrib if your hair is wet and long. If you are a girl, you will have heard it more than the boys. The justification the elders give is that the jinns pass by at that time, and they like long hair. So it’s likely that they will possess you.

2. Bit your tongue recently?

This one always gives me a complex because I tend to bite my tongue a lot. The superstition goes somewhat like this: if you bite your tongue, someone talked bad about you. So be careful next time you eat your food!

3. Cawing of crow

If you are a people person, you won’t mind this. But if you don’t like company, well, too bad because when a crow caws, a guest is upon your doors. You could always wet your hair and quickly go to the roof. Who knows, a jinn just may become your savior. I, for one, would always choose a jinn over a human.

4. Tasbeeh in the rain

First of all, Karachi does not get rain. But when it does, it rains cats and dogs. So what do you do to stop the rain? If you are superstitious, you will hang a rosary (tasbeeh) outside your door. Does it really stop the rain, you ask? Well, does a crow really bring a guest then?

5. Don’t take white things in open containers under the open sky!

They say, don’t take out white things in transparent containers under the sky. Something terrible always follows. But it made me curious, so I tried finding out what could be that bad. It’s because when the cat sees the white. And assuming it’s milk, it attacks. That’s a bad thing.

Anyway, these were a collection of a few superstitious beliefs that Pakistanis have. What do you think?

Desis Are Offended After This ‘African’ Biryani Recipe Goes Viral

biryani

Biryani is close to almost all of the desi’s hearts. Be it Hyderabadi or Sindhi, Bombay, or Mughlai, Biryani remains sacred for Indians and Pakistanis with the same intensity. And when someone attacks Biryani, you see the archrivals uniting their efforts to call them out.

An event recently happened, which proved this point. Food 24, a South African publication excelling in food, took to Twitter what they called a Biryani recipe. The video showed a dish that had rice (check), chicken (check), potato (check), black lentils (?), non-golden onion (?). And it looked all gooey.

Yes, it did happen. Have a look at the video!

1. And I am Shahrukh khan

Because we refuse to believe that such a dish can be called ‘any’ form of Biryani, so we can easily make such a claim.

2. Biryani: Defining sacred

In this time, when everyone is living their way, we need to define sacred in clear terms. Because clearly, the internet needs it.

3. Laaton kay bhoot

This one was plain hilarious now. The Pakistani touch? Well, we would like to correct it by calling it the brown touch.

4. You don’t have to be a cook to know Biryani

Well, this scene told us we could never show the video to our moms. Because in the desi family, even a 3-year-old knows an onion is supposed to be fried golden.

5. Cooking Biryani questions

ShivaniChandra13 was all business. Instead of lashing out or making fun of it, she posed the question. She asked, “Do none of these cooking videos ever actually ask a brown person how their food is made before posting these ridiculous versions?!”

6. Should we curse them, though?

Well, well, cursing them with diarrhea with COVID going on does not seem very nice. So let’s not go there. But eating that would probably lead to it anyway…

7. In the end, a request…

In the five steps of grief, towards the end, a person is just exhausted. They lose all the energy to put up a fight. And that is what probably happened here. So this twitter user decides to keep it plain simple and easy. ‘Please delete this video, thank you.’ How simple can you go from here?

Blunders do happen, we understand. But an error this significant which attacks the entire South Asian culture, is unacceptable. With the kind of response they received on Twitter, Food 24 realized their mistake and announced that they would remove the video from all other outlets. Later, they said that they would not delete the Twitter video for the sake of discussions. I mean, no wonder, did you see the retweets and comments desis made?

They apologized, which is good. Hopefully, next time they decide to explore the heritage of any culture, they will ensure they corroborate the recipe with multiple sources.

Pakistanis Share Their Funniest Musical Misunderstandings

Songs are the soul’s food. They have their own genres, and no matter how picky you are, you will like at least one of those genres. And when you do, you will sing along those songs. But the best part is that when you become confident about the songs, you sing them at the top of your lungs with full force. It could be that you have got the right lyrics, but it is also possible that 15 years later, you find out that the songs you were singing in Europe trying to enact some Bollywood scene was really a musical misunderstanding.

And apparently, several people have had a similar incident in their life, minus the Europe part. So we have attempted to compile some of those musical misunderstandings. Have a look!

1. When your musical misunderstanding can become a relationship misunderstanding

Sing that in front of your partner, and they will surely be pissed. And honestly, it doesn’t even make romantic sense now, does it? Or were you assuming that the singer wanted to make his/her loved one jealous?

2. This song has seen more versions than the sand particles on the earth

I will never forget that girl on the Pakistani show who messed up this song forever for me. In fact, I will always remember her confidence.

3. Wasn’t it the right one? Woah!

Wait, I did this every time I saw Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham and Amitabh is singing this song. You know, right before Anjali breaks that world-famous gamlaaaaa.

4. Ahem, please tell us your parents were not around.

Nazia Hasan songs are so beautiful that even though the singer belonged to your parents’ generation, even you love her. Or am I wrong? And you can sing her songs to your heart’s content in front of your parents as well but if you haven’t understood them right, it better you don’t do it; especially if you have this misunderstanding.

5. I had the same idea!

Kal ho, Na ho is one of those evergreen Bollywood movies that one can watch any day. And that moment when SRK sees Preity Zinta for the first time and the song begins, even I sang it as pretty huma for a good few years. And all this even though I knew the character was not named huma.

These are just a few of those that people shared over Facebook. Even you can contribute to this list. Maybe your misunderstanding is worse than these. If so, we will include yours here. So do not forget to comment on Facebook and let us know!

Huawei Announces 6G Technology Details & Launch Date

huawei and 6G tech announcments

Huawei is among the front runners of technology when it comes to progress and development. They were some of the first brands to introduce 5G technology to the world and they still have a lot up their sleeve. Despite them being relatively newer than other brands, they have established themselves quite well. Now, they seem to have announced details related to 6G technologies!

Yes, that is 6G that you have read above. We have barely seen much of 5G yet and already the world is moving ahead. 5G is considered in the development stage right now and it has not even been deployed everywhere. There are many places that still haven’t been able to complete the infrastructure to support 5G. It is like the development of electric charging stations; the change will be gradual. However, now it seems that 6G is already making its way into development.

Huawei Moving Briskly

We had barely begun to absorb news related to Apple and now Huawei is on the track too. They are one of the fastest-growing markets of today and everyone wants a piece of it. The rotating chairman of Huawei has even revealed when they expect to see 6G deployed.  According to him, Huawei intends to deploy this technology as soon as 2030. Considering how new its predecessor is, 6G seems to be evolving at an exponential rate. They are releasing tech faster than ‘Rockstar’ releases GTA games!

Additionally, they have also given us additional information related to the technology. The chairman has also said that 6G is said to be 50 times faster than 5G. It will not only surpass 5G technologies but will also enhance the current existing one. This means that not everyone will have to move towards 6G as soon as possible. Rather, they can take their time and watch it grow, update and adapt.

No brain controlling here

Of course, it can be noted that rumors of 6G will also begin to circulate soon. When 5G first came out, people refused to go near it because it, allegedly, caused brain cancer or allergies. If there was a logical backing to this accusation, one would investigate but it was all base-less. While Huawei has made this announcement, they may not be the only ones working in this field. It is quite possible that other titans are also working on similar technology and may come out with it soon.

2030 for 6G seems like a goal that can be achieved. It is like the UK saying they will remove all combustion vehicles by 2025 or Pakistan going 30% electric by 2030. We hope that Huawei continues to make such developments every month. It is always fun to read about the advancement of something, be it science or medicine. Huawei is not only one of the best companies for smartphones, but they are working on many other products too. They have a smartwatch range as well!

New Guidelines For Umrah Pilgrims Issued By Saudi Arabia

Umrah guidelines by Saudia

There are many faiths that exist today in the world. Where there is the presence of Christians, Jews and Hindus occupy too. Each person should be allowed to follow their own religion and no one should ever be forced to convert. Similarly, one of the prime religions in the world is Islam. It is considered as religion of peace, and it has a significant location at the heart of it. The Saudi government has come up with new guidelines for Umrah pilgrims.

Umrah is considered as one of the most pure forms of prayer in Islam. It involves a Muslim stepping into the bounds of Makkah and offering prayer at the Holy Kaabaa. As a form of prayer, the Muslim does 7 revolutions around the Kaabaa and 7 revolutions between the mountains of Safa and Marwa. This is followed from the old traditions and ways of the prophets who came before us. Islam is a faith which has a rich and robust history. Now, the Saudi Arabian government has issued new guidelines for Umrah pilgrims.

Umrah Helps The Soul

It is often seen that some religious practices are considered good for health. Not only do they allow you to detach from the negativity of society but allow you to get closer to God as well. When you are present within the bounds of Haram, you may feel this force drawing you towards the masjid. It is not only a force present but a positive aura. Now, let us dive into the new guidelines for pilgrims.

According to the guidelines, a person will first enter into the care center at Makkah. They will enter this place six hours prior to the Umrah. This is so they can get the status of their coronavirus vaccine checked. It is a precautionary measure that is being taken to ensure there is no spread of the virus. An infected person entering the city and the masjid could have disastrous results for everyone.

Further details

The pilgrims are then instructed to go to the gathering center where they will be given a bracelet. It is the presence of this bracelet on the wrist that will allow them to enter the masjid. You cannot go directly into the masjid and perform Umrah now; you will have to go through this procedure. Additionally, the ministry of Saudi Arabia has also given forms that can be filled to have dates and times allotted for the Umrah.

They have also said that even after the vaccine verification, Kingdom guidelines are to be followed inside the Masjid. The two Masjids here refer to Masjid e Nabwi and Masjid Al Haram. This is quite a useful initiative that has been taken by the government. Last year, visit to the place was completely barred due to the severity of the virus. Now, slowly, it seems that pilgrims may return to the place for prayers. Come Zilhajj, we shall have to see the guidelines for Hajj because that is a crowded time.

Under the leadership of Coach Imran Khattak and Captain Zohaib Nabi, Team Zameen managed to beat the reigning champions, Meezan Bank, by bowling them out for 120 runs — 43 runs short of the 163 target set by the Zameen players.

The Corporate Silver Cricket League has long been organizing the most prominent corporate tournaments in Lahore, and the Zameen team formally joined it in 2017. In the latest edition of this cricketing competition, Zameen played six matches on their way to the final, where they maintained their good form and were eventually crowned the champions of the tournament.

LG Has Rolled Out A Rollable TV But Is It Worth It?

LG

Based in South Korea, the tech giant LG is known for its innovation. This time it is rollable TV.

Yes, you read it right!

This tech brand has already made and circulated rollable TV within South Korea a year ago. But now, they are expanding it and sending it to their US consumers. But what is a rollable TV?

Saving Space with LG

So, we are all familiar with flat TVs, right? This one is also a flat TV. But the idea it comes from is saving space. You may be wondering how much exactly does a flat-screen TV occupies space. But you are thinking in terms of surface area. A flat TV does occupy vertical space. Hence, LG presents the solution for saving that. But you need not worry because it doesn’t compromise on the display. The TV will be big, but when you are not using it, it slides down into a compartment fitting itself by rolling.

Worth What?

The idea is excellent indeed, and looking at the video, it does seem neat. But paying $115,000 is a little extra, don’t you think? I mean, you can totally get a similar width and height TV just without the rolling feature for much, much less. Not only that, the function of TV is to entertain you, so if you are paying more for a TV, it should be because of some entertaining feature.

That said, it sometimes does happen that a huge TV right in the center may ruin the interior of the place. And if you are someone who is either very particular about the interior decoration or you are someone who has a few grands lying around, then you should totally opt for the rollable TV. They are calling it LG’s new Signature R OLED television.

The price for the US is not decided yet. But comparing its price in South Korea, we find that the TV cost 100 million won, which amounts up to $114,837. If they maintain the pricing, then the TV should cost $115k. The company has informed the consumers that if they are genuinely interested, they should try calling up the brand to find out.

The question now is: would you?
