Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) aircraft flying from Chitral to Islamabad carrying 47 passengers crashed today, Wednesday, near Havelian, reports Dawn news.
PK-661 flew from Chitral at 3:30 pm and went missing from the air control radar quite soon after takeoff. The plane was crashed near Havelian and immediately caught fire!
According to News One, 7 bodies have been drawn from the rubble but there seem to be no survivors in the crash.
According to Dawn News, Junaid Jamshed and his wife was allegedly on the flight that crashed. His brother has confirmed the news. Junaid Jamshed had gone to Chitral for a religious sermon.

As per the military media wing ISPR, helicopter and army troops have been released to the crash site and rescue efforts have commenced.
“We regret to inform that PIA’s ATR-42 aircraft operating as PK-661, carrying around 40 persons lost its contact with the control tower on its way from Chitral to Islamabad a short while ago. All resources are being mobilised to locate the aircraft. Media will be kept informed as the situation develops,” Danial Gilani PIA spokesperson said in a statement.

In order to make the process easier, Google has recently introduced a new app that can do exactly that called the Trusted Contacts app.
This app aims to provide easier services to contact your friends and family via phone calls if they are caught in a dangerous situation. It also provides the exact location of your closest contact, which you have selected as a ‘Trusted Contact’.
It has been modeled for high-class emergency situations. If you request a Trusted Contact’s location and they do not share or deny your request within a strict time period of 5 minutes, then their location is instantaneously shared with you.
In scenarios where a person’s phone runs out of battery, is turned off, does not generate signals where they are situated or do not have their location turned on, once their location is requested, their last location will be shared.
This can also be helpful in situations where a person is unaware of their direction. In that case, you can easily guide them to their final destination by turning on location sharing with that person for a period of time to see where they are currently.
You can also choose to broadcast your location to one, or all of your contacts with the help of the app.
As of today, this app is available on Android only, however, an iOS version will be coming up soon.
UPDATE: With a variety of projects and roles in his acting career, Ahsan Khan is gaining much recognition and popularity. Turning heads with his recent character as a child molester in the drama Udaari, the actor had decided to also do a comic role on the big screen with the movie Chupan Chupai. The movie is currently in the phase of editing, all set to release in January 2017.
Mohsin Ali, the man who wrote the witty dialogues for Wrong No. is all set to make his directorial debut with the movie Chupan Chupai. The cast comprises of Neelam Muneer, Sakina Samoo, Talat Hussain, Rehan Sheikh and Faizan Khawaja.
The action packed movie based on the comedy genre has entered the last leg of shooting; however to more song are still to be shot, expected to be complete by Eidul Fitr.

Ahsan Khan & Neelam Muneer have paired up in Mohsin Ali’s latest project “Chupan Chupai”. The film debuting Ahsan Khan and Neelam Muneer will be released on Eid-ul-Azha 2016.
Directed by Mohsin Ali and produced under the banner of Huzu Productions, including partners Ray Khan and Zayed Sheikh, the film Chupan Chupai revolves around a comic thriller storyline.
Talking about the movie, Mohsin said, “We have been shooting for seven days nonstop and it has been real fun so far. The actors have been rehearsing for over a month now and we have a highly professional and talented crew. As far as the performances are concerned, you’ll surely be amazed. Our plan is to release it within this year and most probably after Eid-Ul-Azha.”

Talking about the music of the movie, Ali said, “I’m in talks with a lot of musicians right now, trying to tie down the music for the movie. I don’t want filmi music; I want it to be very retro.”

Oscar-winner, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy strikes back with the sequel to her critically acclaimed animated film, 3 Bahadur. The tales follows the lives of the three children with supernatural powers, Saadi, Amna, and Kamil as they once again encounter danger. Dangal is an upcoming biopic film starring Aamir Khan. It is based on the journey of Mahavir Phogat who trained his daughters in the land of Haryana to compete in the commonwealth games which took place in 2010. In a town where the birth of a girl is looked down upon, Phogat made history when he displayed his message of equality by teaching his girl to wrestle. Apparently, Amir Khan gained approximately 98 kg for his role as Mahavir Phogat.

Release Date: 2nd December 2016
The sequel, similar to the first, once again stars Vidya Balan in the lead role. Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, this film, however, is quite different from its prequel. It revolves around the the life of a single mother’s struggle to find her daughter who has been kidnapped by an anonymous entity. In order to retrieve her daughter and unveil the kidnapper, her tragic past must be revealed.

Release Date: 9th December 2016
‘Befikre’ is an upcoming romantic crime film set to be released this month and is directed by Aditya Chopra. The characters Dharam, played by Ranveer Singh, and Shyra, played by Vaani Kapoor, find love in the romantic city of Paris. The film has been said to showcase some quite steamy moments between the two, which has all the fans excited for its release.

Around 3 am, early Monday morning, guests at the Regent Plaza, a four-star hotel, were woken up by a fire that had erupted all throughout the site. The fire was said to have commenced from the kitchen, that was situated on the ground floor, before rapidly increasing and causing damage to the rest of the building.
Pakistani cricketer, Sohaib Maqsood, 29, was amongst those who had luckily escaped this terrifying event unscathed and had even managed to successfully save three families and their children.
He was said to have been residing in the hotel with his United Bank Limited (UBL) team for their match against Habib Bank Limited (HBL) for theUBL Quaid-i-Azam trophy match.Although his heroic act cost him a fractured leg, as he had jumped from his hotel room window which was situated on the fourth floor, it shows the vast amount of courage that he possesses to put others’ lives before his own.

It has been reported that there have 12 casualties including three doctors, the hotel’s front desk manager, and five women along with around 75 that have been severely injured. Many had suffered their ill-fated demise due to suffocation, whilst those who managed to escape via the windows did not suffer from major wounds. Many had made makeshift ropes out of their bed-sheets and blankets, whilst others lunged from their room windows despite any heights.
“We woke up at 3:30am and tried to run outside but there was a lot of smoke out in the corridor and almost no oxygen, so we came back into the room, broke the glass and went down from there with the help of bed sheets. We also found a family with two kids and took them along with us,” Maqsood said in an interview to a local news website.
The mayor of Karachi, Wasim Akhtar announced his grief of the situation but was unnerved by the fact that the hotel did not seem to have any working fire alarms or visible fire exits. In any place of service, it is important to debrief visitors on the customs when an incident similar to this occurs. Luckily, the fire brigade with an army of three trucks managed to assess the situations in approximately three hours, however, many had suffered which is definitely tragic.
The Pakistani soil is filled with stories of forgotten champions who lost their lives in the name of patriotism. One such story is that of Aitzaz Hassan, a 16-year-old boy who sacrificed his life on 6th January 2014 to avert a suicide bomb attempt at his school in Hangu.
The young soul’s sacrifice and courage saved the life of 2,000 children who can now live and do great things for Pakistan. Last year, the Lollywood veteran, Shehzad Rafique took the task of filming a biopic on the hero’s life.
The movie has now hit the cinemas and is reaping rave reviews by the cinema-goers.

Is there anything Mira Sethi can’t do? From acting to modeling and now writing, Pakistani writer and actor Mira Sethi can do it all! The talented actress has landed a global book deal with International publishing giants Knopf and Bloomsbury.
The writer has sold her debut collection of short stories to Knopf and Bloomsbury. Mira Sethi’s book will be published in 2018 in US, UK and India. Her addition to Knopf and Bloomsbury marks an exciting new addition to Pakistan’s worldwide voice and identity of literature.
By being roped in by Knopf, Mira has joined an impressive list of authors like Jhumpa Lahiri, Margaret Atwood, and Haruki Murakami. Bloomsbury has published books like J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series and Khaled Hosseini’s fiction.
Mira was the former books editor at the Wall Street Journal and has contributed reporting and feature articles to publications like The New York Times and The Caravan for several years.
“When my agent sent out my manuscript, I was praying the editors at Knopf would glance at it,”said Sethi. “To think that Knopf — whose writers I have read and obsessed about since I was a teenager — is now my publisher is a dizzying dream-come-true. Ditto with Bloomsbury, who publish some of the best women’s writing in the world. I am just so thrilled.”
“Her debut book is a brilliant work that looks at life in Pakistan in a deeply human way with humour, intimacy, compassion, and verisimilitude,” said Sethi’s editors at Knopf. “Mira’s stories upend traditional notions of identity and family in South Asia through deeply realized portraits of characters one comes to know and to care for.”

The ace Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh tied the knot with model turned actor Hazel Keech at a ceremony in Chandigarh, earlier last week. The big fat Indian wedding took place in all its galore the entire week with wedding celebrations being continued in Siolim, Goa until last weekend.

Earlier, the Lollywood actor had also revealed in an interview to The National about the reason he turned down the role in Gajhni.
“I refused India once. When I read the role, I knew that they needed a new terrorist face and I said no. In Pakistan, I live in people’s hearts. That’s a huge responsibility. I cannot let them down.”
The reverberation of Shaan’s powerful acting skills was bound to travel to India. It is indeed a proud moment to know that Aamir Khan applauded Shaan for his stellar performance in Khuda Kay Liye and was eager to cast him in Ghajni!
