 Holier Than Thou Trolls

Alas, nothing can be done on social media without some trolls popping their heads out. This was a particular category of trolls that is most commonly found in Pakistan. The “Holier Than Thou” trolls who will always point out that you could be doing something better in whatever you’re doing.

No one knows whether the commenter herself is the embodiment of a charitable person, and we also don’t know how much charity Amal gives— hence, no one has a right to comment.

A comment particularly struck Aiman Khan to which she replied. See their exchange here and decide for yourself who was wrong:

The Entitlement To Comment

As we can see what all celebrities go through, it is evident that the public feels they are entitled to comment on the lives of celebrities. After all, they signed up for this. But news flash! No, that is not the case. Sure, Amal and Muneeb signed up for this, but their daughter did not. She’s merely a year old; why is she being dragged into this?

Regardless of that, no parent can ever hear anything negative regarding their child. When will the idea of “live and let live” come in not only us as a nation but also be promulgated on social media?

Aiman Khan was still more excellent than many would be. Kudos to her, and may they have more celebrations in life always!

half-naked robbers
PC: GEO

We all have seen countless videos, have read many accounts of all kinds of robberies in Pakistan and worldwide.

Usually, the robbers come with an excuse or have information about the household. They find a way inside, loot, and run away.

But, some robbers have a signature trait that makes it impossible to forget them. Similarly, a gang of half-naked men has spread terror in Khushab, Punjab.

The gang looted not one nor two but at least five houses overnight. In a CCTV video, it can be seen that the men are shirtless, which makes it all the more terrifying.

According to reports by the Police, five half-naked dacoits robbed five houses in the city’s Azeem Town, Gulshir Town, Shehzad Town, and Canal Rest House areas last night.

That’s not all, “The gang applied mustard oil on their bodies to evade police arrest.” Moreover, the Police are confident that the robbers will be caught soon.

Here’s the video of the half-naked men that is going viral on social media:

Not too long ago, another unusual gang of robbers became the talk of the town. The slick members used the best weapon to prey on the weakness of their targets. The weapon was none other than a hot plate of Biryani!

That’s right! The robbers pretended to neighbors and brought their targets a hot plate of Biryani to gain access to their homes!

This incident took place in Karachi’s Baloch Colony, where a group of 4 had planned to rob a house.

One of the robbers, who knocked on the door, held a plate of Biryani in his hand. He also impersonated to be one of their neighbors.

The owner took the plate and shut the gate on the robbers. Meanwhile, the knocker signaled his companions.

When the owner opened the gate again to return the plate, the robber tried to enter the house, but the owner closed the door at the right time.

This was fun! Conical hats or Non la are one of the most iconic things from Vietnam. This hat is magic! Wear it during a rainy day and you will know what I’m talking about. Brand Manager at a leading MNC, the Instagrammer has a penchant for traveling overseas. One look at her account and you’ll realize that she is a passionate global jet setter.

From Portugal, Vietnam, Croatia to Indonesia, Rabia has visited as many as 35 countries independently and makes sure she flaunts it all on her social media.

The globe-trotter believes that traveling has evolved her personality and has made her a better human being.

Travelling has made me a more peaceful person. I have learned to deal with a lot of things in life that I wasn’t able to.

When you travel abroad you miss flights, stay at places you didn’t think you will stay at. You meet different people from different cultures. That teaches you how everyone is different and makes you a better person.

Since Rabia has marked so many international spots on her map, we wondered what is her take on Alex, the American traveler deeming Pakistan as ‘not an easy place to travel to’.

So I feel that no country is an easy country to travel to. I went to Morocco recently, I really struggled with the language . It was a barrier, But even then if you talk about Pakistan, it is an easy place to travel to as people are really friendly here when compared to a lot of other countries.

Travel bloggers and influencers are flocking our cities, their adventures in Pakistan inspiring millions across the world.

However, our local travel bloggers are working equally hard and playing an instrumental role to boost the nation’s global image.

We also asked her the burning question, i.e. what’s her take on local travel influencers missing from the Pakistan Tourism Summit that happened last month.

It is very good that a lot of International bloggers are coming to Pakistan and getting to know Pakistan better. But it is really unfair to Pakistani bloggers who are also doing great work to promote their nation.

She also feels that its the local talent of Pakistan that is more influential when it comes to travel blogging.

Local travel bloggers are making more impact on the tourism scene in Pakistan. International travel bloggers come and go. But local travel bloggers are the ones who are here and are promoting Pakistan more than anybody else.

5 Incredible Next Generation Games To Play On PS5!

PS5

The love for PlayStation (PS) began more than a decade ago in my case. I achieved the first position in grade 1, and I received PS1 as a present. And someone who played SuperMario can never forget that feeling. But now, its time for PS5 to wreak havoc on the world. And with these games that you can play on PS5, you can certainly do so.

1. Hogwarts Legacy

Are you a Potterhead? Because if you are, we have good news for you. This game on PS5 is set in the Harry Potter universe. Now, it is way before Voldemort time. Tom Marvolo Riddle or the Potters had not had their showdown yet. Yes, just as you guessed, this is the late 1800s. So the game requires you to make a customized character, and that character has to survive Hogwarts school.

2. Pragmata

Another game released for PlayStation 5 is Pragmata. It was among the final games released at the console design announcement. This game is one of Capcom’s. Considering the developer’s current ongoing projects, Pragmata is a little different. But the introduction of this new world seems excellent.
So let’s see when it finally releases, what new adventures the game has for us. And we are expecting a lot considering the whole Hideo Kojima vibe in the game.

3. Little Devil Inside

The visuals have a Tim Burton inspiration. A young man is on an adventure, and an older man couldn’t be living a more ordinary life. Considering games usually have one primary subject, we are excited to see how the main characters will fit into the game. The game Little Devil Inside is one to wait for in the next few months.

ps5

4. Atomic Heart

Mudfish developed Atomic Heart. This game is based in an alternate universe. A universe where the Soviet Union did not break away. The main character is the Soviet government’s special agents. The game is around you figuring out why you failed the mission and why you cant contact your handler or anyone else among your superiors. They are still holding out on the release date.

5. Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War

Call of Duty was always something that made your heart race. And now that we have the release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, waiting seems all that harder. The tentative date is November 13, 2020. Treyarch develops the game. They set it as a direct sequel to the original Black Ops. Hence, it takes into account the tense political atmosphere of the ’80s. It will remind you of all the history you have heard, learned, discussed as you hunt down the mysterious “Perseus.”

ps5

Of course, the graphic, the outlook, the overall feel is way different from the original PlayStation. But the effect the original version had on its users, that has remained consistent. And that was made possible by these next-generation games one can play on PS5.

5 Reasons Why You Should Stop Stalking Your Ex On Social Media

stalking your ex

Stalking your ex is fun or not that is beside the point but is it healthy? We don’t believe so. And in this article, we will convince you why it is not healthy. So read through the article and internalize these five reasons why you really should stop stalking your ex on social media.

stalking your ex
GIF Source: The Guardian

1. What is he/she doing?

Breakups hurt, and checking up on your ex to see what they are doing is a pretty standard way of dealing with the hurt. The thought in your mind would most definitely be whether your ex-partner misses you or moved on? But you have to remember too much of this ‘stalking’ is not suitable for you. Using social media to find about your ex’s location and seeking them out, there could be toeing the line of the law.

2. Why be sad when you can be happy

When you are stalking your ex on social media, account the primary emotions going through you are the negative ones, like sadness, anger, or even regret. Now, you would say that you just want to remember the happy times, but believe us, thinking about your ex, even about the joyful times, leaves a residual sad feeling. The better thing to do would be to do something constructive. Do something that makes you happy and not alone. And if you are ready for a new relationship, maybe try a dating app.

3. Its time to let go

When something is causing you severe physical torment, what do you do? You distance yourself from it. Now apply that logic to emotional pain; you don’t enjoy it, but it’s there. What you can do to dissipate that pain is stop getting informed about your ex through Instagram or Snapchat. We hope your brain acknowledges this pointer because we know your heart is biased right now. Do the sensible thing and delete him/her from your life.

4. The Humiliation

Picture this, you’re standing somewhere public and scrolling through your ex’s social media account, you turn around and reasonably, they are standing right there, and they’ve already seen what you were doing. Now that could be categorized as a whole new form of embarrassment. Obsessing over them, not just in front of them but also in front of others will make you let’s be real, a bit pitiful. The best way to avoid this kind of humiliation is, DON’T STALK THEM!

5. Misunderstanding

Even during a relationship, your partner’s social media posts might be misleading. For example, he told you he was going to a family dinner, and that night, he uploaded a photo with a girl. Shocking! Right? Not surprising when you find out that girl is his cousin. Now, imagine the vast room for misunderstandings when you two don’t even contact each other anymore. Instead of sizzling in jealousy and curiosity over whether he found someone new, expend that time into something that benefits you.

All in all it hurts you. So stop torturing yourself. And as this one great love guru said,’You can’t move on because you keep thinking what if that was your one true love. He/She was not. If you lost them, they were not!’

Meet The Team Behind The Popular Magazine homelovelifestyle.com

lifestyle

Who doesn’t love looking at beautiful interiors, gorgeous travel pictures, and delicious food? Put all these elements together, add some in-depth interviews, intriguing travel writing, and fun tips and tricks. This is what HomeLoveLifestyle is all about.

This one-of-a-kind in Pakistan web magazine has been serving up all this, and more and their readers and devoted social media followers can’t get enough!

We sat down in conversation with the three dynamic women behind the brand, Naeema Kapadia, Soofia Ishaque, and Zahra Chughtai. We learned how these school friends built up this magazine/digital platform.

How did you 3 come up with the idea?

Zahra: Naeema came up with the idea. She noticed a gap in the market, and there was no magazine focusing solely on interiors and lifestyle in Pakistan of the kind one can find abroad.

Naeema: Yes. Also, having worked extensively abroad, I was painfully aware that there was no medium through which one could showcase interior design from Pakistan. This question was always posed to me. Since I am an interior designer by profession and since Zahra was in journalism and Soofia in advertising, I thought we made an excellent team.

So how did you come up with a name for the venture?

Soofia: Well, at first, we came up with a bunch of suggestions. Some were too difficult to remember; some domains were not available. Finally, we decided to combine three simple and easy to understand words, home, love & lifestyle, into a single entity. It makes sense because there are 3 of us too.

Interior is a field that fascinates many!

Naeema: Yes, as an interior designer, having worked locally and abroad, I find that people are generally very house proud everywhere. They want to create a lovely home or an aesthetically pleasing ambiance and share it with family and friends.
But we expanded our interests to include travel, food, art, etc. anything that enhances one’s lifestyle.

Celebrity homes remain a prevalent feature of your magazine.

Zahra: Oh, yes! People are most interested in celebrities and getting a glimpse into their homes and lives. I must say it has been a rewarding experience for us as well since all the stars we have reached out to have been wonderfully warm and down to earth.
We have interviewed Marina Khan, Sarwat Gilani, Sanam Saeed, HSY, to name just a few!

Travel across Pakistan, and the world is also covered?

Naeema: All three of us are avid travelers, and before we choose any destination, we like to read up on it. That’s why we always have first-hand accounts from travelers on homelovelifestyle.com. So people can read about real holidays & experiences.

Food is also trending these days. So who is the foodie amongst you?

Soofia: I think we all are. (laughs) And since we have all been home more recently, we were cooking and baking more. Most of our recipes are tried and tested family favorites. We love cooking ourselves and sharing our readers’ recipes too.

Homelovelifestyle is also an effective digital platform for advertisers?

Soofia: These days, brands are looking to engage directly with consumers. Since Homelovelifestyle is dedicated to interiors, travel, and lifestyle, brands have the perfect platform to introduce their products. Through our Instagram and Facebook pages, they can interact with a very engaged and design-loving audience.

Is digital the way forward? Isn’t it for brands?

Zahra: Absolutely! Almost all reading and viewing is done on-line now. It’s the place to be. And one has immediate global access. Our magazine has an engaged ex-pat audience as well and is read in 66+ countries and growing.

We have worked with some of the biggest brands in Pakistan as well as upcoming designers & artists. And our focus is always to create content that is both original and engaging.

So the dream is now a reality; how do you all feel?

Naeema: We love every minute of it. It’s also an excellent platform for projecting a very positive image of Pakistan. HomeLoveLifestyle is also a reputable Influencer platform.

Zahra: It’s been an adventure and a steep learning curve. But working with friends hardly seems like work at all.

Soofia: We have got so much love from our readers all across the world that Homelovelifestyle has grown faster even than we dreamt.

So any word of advice for other start-ups or small businesses?

Zahra: Start small but dream big and know your job. Be very well-versed in every aspect of your business.

Naeema: No matter what, be consistent and, at the same time, be ready to evolve with your business.

Soofia: Embrace the adventure, learn to love the detours, and also the unexpected rewards. That way, you can enjoy the journey to success every step of the way!

Bermuda Triangle: 4 Mysterious Facts You Didn’t Know About It

bermuda triangle

Bermuda Triangle or the Devil’s Triangle has had many mysteries attached to it. In fact, in 2001, a marine engineer and her husband discovered complex urban traces underwater. These complexes could not have been possible given the estimated time of their construction was 50,000 years ago, and at that point, no civilization had the expertise to execute the task.

So, was it the rumored magical city of Atlantis? Did the mysteries attached to Bermuda originate from Atlantis? These myths may not resolve anytime soon. However, there are some mysterious facts about the Bermuda Triangle that we cannot ignore.

1. Underwater constructions?

So we just mentioned the possibility of Atlantis and the engineer discovered it. But what exactly did she find out? A series of symmetrical and geometric stone structures that had a high resemblance to pyramid-like establishments. With further investigation, it was found that there were large blocks that seemed like they were deliberately placed on top of each other. Stones looked like hewn Granite. The structures have to be more than 50,000-year old since that is the amount of time it would have taken for such massive systems to drown to the current depth.

2. Many Disappearances?

Au contraire to what most would believe, there are not many disappearing incidents linked to Bermuda. The frequency is shallow. I mean, in the past 100 years, there were 1000 disappearances. And given that people disappeared in clusters, for instance, 309 people one time, we can easily say that there cannot have been many disappearing incidents over the past 100 years. The nearest estimate is 50 ships and 20 airplanes.

Bermuda doesn’t seem as scary now.

3. The Ghost Ship

Back in 1881, Ellen Austin, a ship was sailing to New York. It came across a ghost ship. The boat was stocked entirely, but it had no passengers. Ellen Austin crew decided to take the stock. But the ship was engulfed in fog, and a day later, the captain found not a trace of his crew members on the boat, which was still fully stocked.

4. Road Structures

In 1968, researchers found the Bimini road in Bermuda. If one is to describe their features, it would sound somewhat like linear features composed of stones of various shapes. Some of them flat-lying, tabular and rectangular, while others subrectangular, polygonal, and irregular. And each of these ‘curated’ stone would be 3 to 4 meters horizontally.

These are some interesting facts that fuel the mythology about Bermuda even further. But the triangle itself does not need assistance to kickstart rumors about it. I mean ships returning empty? Roads and building deep underwater? Bermuda is all set in itself.

The Case Of Digital Progress & Content Generation Apps In Pakistan

Image Source: The Wall Street Journal

Cubism would not have found its way into 20th-century art had Pablo Picasso not been influenced by African art when the French were expanding their rule into Sub-Saharan Africa. It was the encounter with African sculptures, masks, etc. that were being brought to Paris museums along with the tales of exoticism associated with African kingdoms, the exaggerated accounts of cannibalism, and the oppression and exploitation of Africans under colonial rule – all of which inspired Picasso to combine European and African art styles, pioneering an art movement.

This is not just about Picasso. To carve out a niche for themselves, all creators have to explore different ideas, points of view, and techniques – no matter what the discipline. And creative innovation mainly comes about when other specialties are combined.

Historically, information was not always that readily available. Instead, it was dependent on the quest seeker’s interaction with cultures and tradition – including a lot of travel – and the circumstances that governed these. Such quest seekers referred to themselves as ‘students of life,’ which is a discussion for another time. Yet this was how innovation mainly came about – with the amalgamation of different spheres of influence, otherwise separated by time and space.

Fast forward to now, and technology has completely changed how we interact with our experiences. The information that we need and the people we want to communicate with are now a matter of a few typed searches away over the internet’s searchable database. Technology has pretty much-eliminated barriers to creativity. Finding and landing information and fostering collaborations is much more simplified and efficient in this day and age.

Creative content generation apps

Yet, creativity nowadays flows from the platforms it is showcased or uploaded on. Take the example of YouTube. Synonymous with video content creation, it is the biggest platform for distance learning – it provides lessons on anything and everything that can be created. Similar is the case with TikTok. Having 500 million+ followers worldwide has become one of the leading creative short video content generation apps.

While we may see only entertainment-driven content on TikTok in Pakistan; around the world, it has become synonymous with innovative creative and educational content: If you can log on to TikTok Singapore, Malaysia, UK, Canada, etc., you will see short, exciting videos on history, how to solve mathematical problems Shakuntala-Devi-style, science experiments and their applicability in real life, etc. Trust me; the content is so addictive I have spent hours going through it without getting bored.

Moving on to the case of Pakistan, we see a lot of hate speech and adult content being posted to every other platform available to upload content to, which ends up leading to blanket bans on media. What our authorities fail to realize is that such prohibitions hinder the potential of Pakistani content creators to gain visibility and learn and improve in the process.

Pakistani Content Creators

Again citing the case of YouTube, it also cost all the dollars worth of revenue that Pakistani content creators could have earned for our economy in terms of foreign exchange for the three years the platform was banned. A simpler solution? The hate content video could have been banned, and it would have pretty much served the purpose. Moreover, regulations could have been emphasized, and guidelines could have been set.

Like when PTA regulators threatened TikTok to be banned in Pakistan, the app’s parent company, ByteDance, issued statements on the robust vigilance-oriented infrastructure in place that ensures user security: TikTok removed more than 3.7 million videos from Pakistan that was against its stated Community Guidelines in the second half of 2019.

Of these, 89% of videos were removed before receiving any views, while 98% were removed before being reported by any user. These statistics are the third-highest amongst all those countries whose citizens use The Chinese app. Says a lot about our mindset. And as if this was not all, Pakistan is one of those five markets where the most massive volume of videos was removed!

TikTok’s Issues Community Guidelines

To ensure these statistics decrease with time, TikTok has issued Community Guidelines in Urdu to ascertain users understand and generate content accordingly to facilitate many Pakistani content creators. The app also teamed up with Pakistani celebrities Azfar Rehman, Hira Mani, and Zhalay Sarhadi for a mass media campaign that generally encourages Pakistanis to be responsible netizens.

Going back to where I mentioned technology pretty much-eliminating barriers to creativity – and exposure; according to local TikTokers, many of them are getting gigs on television due to the direction they are calling on the app, which makes it an aide in helping people earn better livelihoods.

The verdict? Banning is not a solution. Whether it is content creation apps or dating apps. What we need is a more comprehensive approach to policymaking for the uber-connected digital space. People will eventually demand better content, and content creators will have to answer to that demand.

It is only a matter of time.

Study: Heavy Smoking May Increase The Risk Of Having A Brain Bleed

A new study reveals that even casual smoking can elevate the risk of a fatal stroke— find out all the other myths it has busted about smoking!

What Breakthrough Has Been Made?

The new research conducted has shown that if you thought you were better off by not smoking a pack a day, you’ve got another think coming. The risk of a potentially fatal stroke is elevated by you just smoking occasionally as well.

The primary subject of the data was the examination of subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). SAH is a type of brain bleed that can lead to permanent brain damage or even death.

The Process and The Findings

Researchers from the University of Helsinki and Helsinki University Hospital gathered data to prove their hypothesis. They collected data from more than 16,000 same-sex twin pairs to determine an underlying genetic cause that could explain SAH.

The cause of concern for these “casual smokers” comes from what the researchers found. It was discovered that smokers — even the occasional ones — were at an increased risk for experiencing SAH. Among twin pairs where one was a smoker and one a nonsmoker, it was found that the smoker was more likely to experience SAH.

Dr. Len Horovitz, a pulmonary specialist at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City, said, “Smoking causes a decrease in distensibility in arteries, which may account for this phenomenon.”

Why “Light Smoking” Is Still Smoking

Smokers are a rare breed of humanity. They acknowledge entirely that smoking is unhealthy, toxic, and carries a higher mortality rate. They understand that inevitably their lungs will give out and expose them to a host of pains. However, they carry on.

The problem also lies in those that are misinformed. Some may think doing it once in a while gives them the best of both worlds: they get to have a good smoke without putting their health at risk. This, too, however, is far from the truth.

Nicole Avena-Blanchard, Ph.D., an assistant professor of neuroscience at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, pointed out some evidence. In a 2016 study from the National Cancer Institute, it was found that even smokers who had less than one cigarette per day had a 64 percent higher risk for earlier death than nonsmokers.

Exhaling Life

The youth of today is going to suffer the most because of this misinformation surround “light smoking.” There is no safe level of smoking in terms of health. Nowadays, it is a trend to light one and passes it on. Or better yet, for boys, it is treated as a rite of passage.

Educate those around you for their excellent. If you’re a chronic smoker, give this a read to begin your journey of quitting today!

Hareem Shah & Mufti Qavi’s Leaked Phone Call Is Going Viral!

Hareem Shah meets Mufti Qavi
PC: ibex

Being an influencer comes with its pros as well as its cons. It’s like a coin with two sides. While some influencers are known for their charm and work, others are known for their controversies.

Pakistani TikTok starlet Hareem Shah is one of the most well-known controversial ones. She rose to fame on the dubbing platform and soon found herself in the center of lots of scandals.

The latest is a leaked phone call clip in between Shah and Mufti Qavi. Shah is not the only one with their fair share of controversies; Mufti Qavi, a cleric, also has many.

In the viral video clip, we can hear the cleric telling Shah to he wants to meet her, but he can’t, unfortunately, due to personal reasons. Shah, on the other hand, replies as if she is least interested in meeting him.

However, it is still unaware if Shah and Mufti Qavi met and the motive behind Mufti Qavi’s request to meet her is also unknown.

Here’s the viral clip:

In the clip, we can hear him say:

Shehzadi gh’ussa mat ho, mujhe apni shakal dikhao

Princess Don’t Get Angry, Show me your face.

On the other hand, Shah can be seen and heard arguing with him. We would also like to point out that Hareem Shah is not the only influencer the cleric is linked with. His name came up several times in regards to Qandeel Baloch.

Before Shah acclaimed famed, Baloch was the most controversial influencer in Pakistan. It is rumored that her murder (committed by her brother) was planned by someone as influential and powerful as the Mufti.

Moreover, what we do know for certain is that Shah and the cleric have met at least once (it is not clear if they had met before or after the phone call).

Hareem Shah meets Mufti Qavi
PC; Twitter

I did not call you to listen to your speeches and nonsense. I have to ask you that you claim to be a scholar of Islam. In this age, it is not suitable for you to flirt with girls that are the same age as your daughters. – Hareem Shah to mufti qavi

We can also hear Hareem in the clip telling him that she doesn’t want to listen to his ‘nonsense’ and that he claims to be a very religious scholar but is flirting with girls the same age as his daughters.

After his request to see her face, Shah responds:

I will not show you my face. You have slandered the name of Islam, you are the devil and you are a father of the devil. And I do not see the face of the hypocrites.

But, Shah can also be heard laughing in the viral clip, which questions whether or not what she said to him was all part of an act or if she meant every word.

Previously, Mufti Qavi was seen dancing with a woman of foreign descent. But, he denied it and claimed that the man in the video is not him.

We have now to see what explanation the religious scholar has to give here.

Until then, stay tuned to Brandsynario for more news and all the latest updates.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy To Co-Direct Marvel’s First Muslim Superhero

Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, the famous Pakistani-Canadian journalist, and filmmaker is all set to take yet another significant step towards women empowerment and recognition on the big screen.

About Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy

Sharmeen Obaid is not only a filmmaker or journalist but also an activist who has worked diligently towards highlighting the problems that women have to face in our society. Through her work, be it documentaries, short films, or any other medium, Obaid has shed light on the sufferings of women due to the persistence of structural inequalities in the society that we live in. She has been a proud recipient of seven Emmy Awards and two Academy awards – the only female director who has achieved so much in such less time. Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy also received the Hilal-i-Imtiaz in 2012 by the Government of Pakistan for her outstanding and extraordinary contributions as a filmmaker and director.

Sharmeen has already done a lot to better society, and she’s still on the go! Obaid is absolutely unstoppable.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy To Co-Direct Marvel’s First Muslim Superhero

According to recent news, the Oscar winner and Hilal-e-Imtiaz recipient will be co-directing the upcoming Ms. Marvel with other renowned directors such as Adil El Arbi, Meera Menon, and Bilall Fallah. They are very well known for their spectacular work.

Reportedly, the forthcoming Ms. Marvel series will be focused on Kamala Khan, a Muslim-Pakistani residing in New Jersey. Not to forget, Kamala Khan was the first Muslim Marvel character (the creation of Sana Amanat) who appeared in comics in 2013 and became exceptionally significant by 2014. She was given her series that year. Kamala’s character is much celebrated in the world of Marvel comics ever since.

Muslims have hardly ever been represented in a positive light in Hollywood television series or films. In the case of Muslim women, the scenario is much worse. The appearance of Kamala – a teenage Muslim woman of color, in Ms. Marvel as the main character, is a considerable achievement, without any doubt.

Sharmeen Continues Making Us Proud

Sharmeen stands firm in crushing the patriarchal and racist structure that continues to govern the society. We would like to wish Sharmeen all the best for her future endeavors. May Sharmeen’s efforts bear fruit. We sincerely hope that Ms. Marvel becomes a huge success!

Are you excited about Sharmeen Obaid’s new project? Will Ms. Marvel be another hit, adding some more awards to Sharmeen Obaid’s massive awards’ collection? What do you think? Let us know in the comment section below!
