1. Sheikhupura Fort

The fort was built during the reign of the Mughal Emperor Jahangir. The Emperor assigned the job of constructing the Fort to Sikandar Moeen on his hunting trip to Hiran Minar in 1607AD.

This fort also emerged during the consolidation of Sikh Raj in Punjab. According to Ihsan H. Nadiem, a veteran archaeologist and historian, before the Sikhs took over power, Sheikhupura Fort served as a hiding place for bandits looting the countryside.

The fort is, however, at the precipice of crumbling and collapsing. It is now littered with vandalism and garbage, not being preserved any longer and closed for public. It is said no one wants to go there because the spirits of the Maharanis still live there.

There is a legend that during the time of the British Raj, a Hindu woman named Shakuntala hung herself from a tree branch. This tree was erect where LCWU stands today, and there is a room exactly where the tree was. The British cut the tree and covered the roots with concrete, but within a week, the tree was grown again.

People say that Shakuntala’s spirit haunts that room of LCWU, and it never is occupied.

DHA phase 3 was barren and empty for a long time before it started filling up with houses. People have spread stories about there being a vast number of Jinns residing there in the trees. Karachi – April 1, 2021 – PUBG MOBILE is partnering with Legendary Entertainment for an exclusive in-game event in celebration of Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures’ epic action adventure movie Godzilla vs. Kong that features themed content throughout the game. The movie, featuring two of the biggest Titans of the cinema, is in theaters internationally and in U.S. and on HBO Max for 31 days from theatrical release. With the collaboration event set to debut soon, PUBG MOBILE players and monster movie buffs can check out the official crossover teaser trailer here.

Earlier this month, Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard took to social media to wish PUBG MOBILE a happy third anniversary, revealing the upcoming collaboration between the game and movie. In the video, Wingard teased a special game mode where players will be able to interact with both Godzilla and Kong. Similarly, players will have the chance to unlock and collect unique content themed to the film’s ferocious goliaths.

In addition to the upcoming PUBG MOBILE x Godzilla vs. Kong, players can drop into an all-new “Clowns’ Tricks” mode. Beginning yesterday through Monday, May 10, clowns will cause mischief throughout the in-game Anniversary Celebration Square. Players can collect Clown Tokens and exchange them for various combat supplies and strategic items at the newly-added Clown Shop Vehicle in Erangel. Players can also now decorate squares on the Music Graffiti wall to trigger interactive melodies.

Burger King to Launch Chocolate Whopper & Nuggets With Fudge Dip

Burger King released a notification yesterday, on the first of April that it will be launching chocolate whopper and nuggets. Weird, awkward, disgusting, interesting, all or one of these thoughts must have come to your mind, no? But you must have also thought about how this could definitely be an April Fool prank given the date of the news.

So the brand’s Singapore branch has announced that they will be releasing the new burger. And people started making speculations about whether this is an April fool prank or not. Considering normally pranks are taken to be the real deal and brands have to clarify that it was just an April joke, the situation was reversed. This time Burger King Singapore had to formally announce that this was no prank.

As it turns out, this is actually possible. In 2018, it was Burger King UK who had launched Chocolate Whopper for a limited time.

Considering this is one of those products that does not get customers all the time, it can only be a short-time deal. And so, Burger King Singapore is also releasing it for a mere 15 days; from April 1st to April 15th. Moreover, this time it won’t be just Chocolate Whopper but also chocolate nuggets. The nuggets will come with fudge dip. There will also be chocolate fudge.

The customers can order the new products from the Burger King app or their in-store digital kiosks. It will cost them $6.40. If they choose to get regular size coke and fries with it, then it will cost them $7.90.

What is the Chocolate Whopper made off?

Well, if you have seen the Burger King UK’s video, you will have seen that it does have some of the usual burger king ingredients. So for instance, it still has a flame-grilled beef patty, onions, and tomatoes. You will, however, not find pickles, mayonnaise, or ketchup. And it will have a layer of chocolate sauce.

The chocolate nuggets

To get the chocolate nuggets, you will have to order a Nugget dipper. This costs 3.90 Singaporean dollars. You will get six pieces of chicken nuggets. It will be accompanied by a chocolate fudge swirl dip.

When the people in Singapore order through the brand’s app, they will also be able to avail themselves of an exciting offer. According to that, they will receive Mashed Up Fries for free when they buy a Chocolate Whopper. This too comes with chocolate fudge sauce.

It seems that Instagram stories are the modern news breaker. And the celebrities use it to the full extent. This time it was Hania Amir. And so, on 1st April 2021, we witnessed Hania Amir’s engagement.

She posted a picture of her hand where she has an oversized ring on her engagement finger and the text in that story was simply the date and a ring.

It was not even left to people’s imagination that she is engaged.

A producer, Umer Mukhtar even shared his story congratulating Hania and Shamoon Ismail for tying the knot.

He said: Congratulations to my two very good friends on getting engaged.”

And tagged both parties on it.

The news was further strengthened when some people who are close to Hania started congratulating her.

As we all know of the recent friendship of hers with Dananeer, it was obvious that she was going to congratulate Hania. But Dananeer’s manager, Nafayalll also posted a congratulatory story.

Aside from them, some accredited showbiz personalities also confirmed the news. These included Wajahat Rauf and Ashir Wajahat.

Lays Pakistan has recently taken to social media announcing a new flavor to hit the market. And the flavor is something you would have never imagined. They are calling it ‘Doodh Patti’ flavor.

Now, we are no strangers to doodh patti. It is another name for a chai that can humorously be called our national drink as well. So if someone tries to irresponsibly use chai as a tool in making their product, we don’t take kindly to it but given that they published it today, on first April, we are forced to think that it is an April fool stunt. And fortunately, we have this way out because we don’t even want to imagine how chai-flavored chips would taste like.

People react to the news

Netizens had a mixed reaction to the chips. Some called it out to be an April fool prank while others made fun of it considering it to be real. Some even got serious. I mean who has a past experience of having dipped a potato chip in their chai; or let me rephrase, which sane person has an experience of having dipped a potato chip in their chai.

But the most recommended and popular suggestion to Lays Pakistan amongst the comments remained the Naswaar flavor. Of course, this was the case aside from all the taunting comments to Lays for the chips to air ratio in their chips bag.

While some people were able to tell that this is photoshopped because the shadow on the teacup is a huge giveaway. However, most others have bought into the idea. So now, when Lays will take it to their social media revealing it to be a prank, many hearts will be broken.

Endangered Leopard Killed By Villagers In Abbottabad & It’s Brutal

An inhumane and brutal act of violence against an endangered animal – a leopard – has been reported in Abottabad. It has left many upset and raises questions on wildlife treatment in Pakistan.

What Happened?

A leopard had wandered into a more human-populated area in Palak, Abottabad, KP. As is the case, many endangered animals and wildlife are found in the area of KP as it is a mountainous region. They have their habitats and can often wander to other regions.

However, a group of men passing by spotted the animal and acted barbariously. As videos can show, the leopard was actually scared of the humans. It was hiding and it did not attack the humans as is being claimed. The main person also claims he was attacked which goes against what the evidence – the video – shows.

The men, however, proceeded to corner it and kill it. The worst part is that they chopped off its paws as well to keep as a trophy.

These videos were captured by someone witnessing the scene. The fact that they did not stop it also makes them complicit in the crime. Beware, the faint-hearted or animal lovers should not watch this!

What Has Been Done About It?

Wherever the case is being reported or covered, people are only horrified. Not at the fact that the leopard had wandered into a human-populated space, but how they killed it for no reason. People are condemning the men for their act.

Moreover, three men who were identified have also been booked under Wildlife Act 2015. Under the act, people can face a year in imprisonment or a fine of Rs. 100,000 or both. Authorities report that they should have notified relevant authorities rather than taking the action into their own hands.

Is This New?

Pakistan is currently undergoing mass dog culling sprees in Karachi and Lahore. Playful, innocent and loving strays are being murdered in cold-blood and then tortured for no reason at all. NGO’s such as JFK Animal Rescue and Shelter in Lahore and ACF in Karachi are working day and night to prevent these acts.

Pakistan’s wildlife species have also entered into several endangered lists which includes this leopard as well. Killing them for trophies or fun actually disrupts the entire environment which is lost on people. As if killing the animal was not enough, his paws were chopped off as well which just shows how callous we are towards animals.
