5 Controversies In The Pakistani Entertainment Industry

The Pakistani entertainment industry provides entertainment beyond the screens too. Here’s a round-up of the most significant controversies faced and overcame; gear up!

Some controversies of the Pakistani Entertainment Industry

1. Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar

In 2020, Meesha Shafi publicly accused Ali Zafar of harassing her while they were working together. She filed a case of harassment, too, and the internet and citizens were divided alike. Who’s speaking the truth? Obviously, Ali Zafar denied the claims and filed his own defamation suit against Shafi.

This resulted in a divide between celebrities, too: some favored Zafar and denied the allegations while others stood with Shafi.

2. Fahad Mirza and Sarwat Gillani’s Pictures

Sarwat Gillani’s role in Churails is very characteristic of her in real life too. She does what she wants to, and “log kya kaheinge” does not take precedence in her thoughts at all. On the same wavelength, she and her husband were off for a vacation in a picturesque place.

As such, when things got a bit romantic, they captured a kiss of theirs and thought there’d be no problem in posting it on social media. However, they were proven wrong when a barrage of hateful messages and moral sanctions were put on them!

3. Sadaf Kanwal and Shahroz Sabzwari

Shahroz Sabzwari’s wedding with Sadaf Kanwal shocked everybody on the internet and resulted in some of the greatest memes seen probably in the history of humankind. Merely weeks after his divorce from Syra Yousuf, Sabzwari moved on with his life with Sadaf Kanwal. Quite blatantly, too, might we add!

Stories about the marriage ending due to cheating, Syra deserving better, and condemnation of the marriage blew up on the Internet. Though celebrities themselves did not say anything, several turned towards Syra simply appreciating her, indirectly showing their support.

4. Saba Qamar’s Twirl Inside A Mosque

Saba Qamar was shooting a music video for a song with Bilal Saeed called “Qabool Hai.” As the song’s name is quite self-explanatory, the song was shot is  Masjid Wazir Khan, where Saba Qamar did a twirl with her supposed husband in the video. The twirl in a masjid outraged the religious sect of the society who charged this act with blasphemy.

Following that, Saeed and Bilal also had to make videos apologizing to be freed of the charge.

5. Noman Ijaz’s Lewd Remarks

Noman Ijaz’s remarks on Iffat Omar’s show was nothing short of disgraceful. He proudly admitted to cheating in such a skillful way that his wife never knows about anything. Let’s not forget the creepy remarks he made on “beautiful women” also.

Given that he is a veteran actor, these remarks only served as a disrespect to the image he had built for his own self, nothing else!

Minal Khan Shares What She Loves Most About Ahsan Mohsin Ikram

Minal Khan and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram are slowly becoming everyone’s OTP (as millennials would say) and this will totally explain why!

Getting Cheesy with Ahsan Khan

On a show with Ahsan Khan and Saboor Aly, Minal Khan opened up about her fiance. What is it that made Minal Khan made say yes to that ring? For her, it was how respectful he is towards her and others associated with her.

She’s sold on his respectful behaviour wherever she is concerned or even her relatives. He treats them all like he would treat his own and for Minal Khan, that matters most!

Who’s Learning From Whom?

If you have seen any couple in love, you must have seen this fight! Every time a virtue of one is pointed out, the other is hasty to get credit for that good quality. A similar thing is happening here as Minal Khan laughed over not knowing whether Ahsan Mohsin Ikram got it from her or she got it from him.

Ahsan Khan pointed out that Minal Khan behaves just as respectfully with not only her fiance but also his loved ones. Throwing it back to the time Ikram posted a photo of his dadi, Ahsan Khan remembered how Minal Khan was very loving towards the tribute. What goes around comes around?

The Controversial Couple

Minal Khan and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram have stirred quite a bit of controversy ever since they came together. The two were clicked with Minal Khan sitting atop Ikram which angered netizens a lot. Moreover, their beach escapades and videos of Minal Khan shoving sand into her finance’s mouth were also not well-received.

However, they are in love and people’s hearts tend to soften seeing that. Or we hope they do!

What’s The Most Important Thing In A Relationship?

The latest series on Amazon Prime called “Modern Love” is based on real-life contributions to the “modern love” column in the New York Times. The show is a heartfelt episodic series of relationships that capture love today and we got to thinking, what is the most important thing in a relationship?

Though the answer will vary from person to person, Minal Khan’s answer is perhaps the most important and foundational. Nothing ever-lasting and fulfiling can be built on a foundation not based upon respect. We’re glad to see these lovebirds acknowledge that and implement it!

The wedding events of Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain were the cutest. From Yasir publicly proposing during an award show to the limited guests’ dholki, mayun, and shadi during the pandemic, the events were very sweet. Now that that event is old news, it was only a matter of time the good news came about.

Iqra Aziz Good news

While no one has officially announced it, it seems that the news we usually label as “good news” is right around the corner. A few pictures were shared on both Yasir Hussain and Iqra’s Insta accounts. They are from a friend’s wedding. Both of them look absolutely stunning together. It could definitely be the camera angle, but Iqra seems slightly different from how she usually is.

Aside from these pictures, there were some from when the couple attended the birthday celebration of Shazia Wajahat, wife of Wajahat Rauf. As the couple poses with the birthday woman, the way Iqra Aziz is standing, it seemed to the audience that she is covering her belly with her arm. They thought that she is covering up the baby bump.

People and their speculation

People said that she looked healthy. And as everyone knows that during pregnancy, your face and leg swell a bit, it seems that Iqra is showing all the symptoms. So maybe, the people have the correct guess this time around.

Whether this is not true, or they are keeping it hush-hush. It will be understood that they did the latter considering brown people’s evil eye is very much on point. But if this is true, we wish the couple all the very best. And we wish the upcoming talented individual a healthy life.

Here’s How Apple Is Encouraging Employees To Get COVID Vaccine

Apple iPhone 13 details

The covid vaccine has had people second guess not only covid but also what the vaccine may be being used to insert in their bodies. As a result, many are refraining from getting vaccinated. And this is why, to encourage more of their employees to get the shot, Apple is giving a few incentives to them.

Apple provides incentives

The incentives, as the tech giant has conveyed, are that they will be giving the paid time off to the employees if they have a vaccine appointment. And when they do get the vaccine, it is likely that they will get some health-related side effects. If they do, they will also be eligible for sick pay.

This development comes from the fact that Apple has not acquired the vaccine or is providing it to the employees. So considering it is not giving it to its employee it is a nice gesture for them to create a context where their workers readily get vaccinated.

Covid and the tech giant

Ever since the covid issue picked up height, numerous companies went into working remotely worldwide. Just like that, Apple’s employees have been working from home since March of 2020. In December, the Apple executives announced that only 15 percent of the entire workforce was coming to the premises of Apple’s Cupertino, Apple Park, California-based headquarters.

It was also hinted that workers may have to return to office by June 2021 but things might not “return to the way they were.” That said, the same executive mentioned how they have observed that various aspects have worked better virtually.

Here Are 7 New Tesla Vehicles & When They Are Set To Arrive

Vehicles and new releases

Among the many car brands in the electric race, there lies Tesla. Tesla is considered as one of the prime runners in the automotive industry. Their developments show how far exactly has humanity come. They are planning their infrastructure in accordance with an electric era. Here are 7 new Tesla vehicle releases expected.

While it may not be an old company in the world of automobiles, it is certainly an impressive one. It took a rise from the era of the early 21st century and began rising even higher as time passed. The roadster that came out in 2008 is quite a distance from the Model Y that came out recently. In light of that, let us take a look at some of the Tesla vehicles that are bound to be released sooner or later.

1. Roadster:

The newest model of this vehicle will release soon. The roadster was the first vehicle that Tesla rolled out, back in 2008. However, it has come a long way from being an overpriced vehicle. It is said to enter production in 2022 and will have 0 – 100mph in 4.2 seconds! Additionally, it will be able to travel 620 miles on a single charge. That is higher than any EV on the market today!

2. Cybertruck:

This was revealed some time back and had gained quite a cult following since then. It is known as a robust vehicle that could even pull a Ford Raptor on its own. Its production will also likely begin in January 2022. A lot of people have their eyes on it, though.

3. Tesla Semi:

The prospect of a battery powered trailer has attached a lot of people. The Tesla Semi is said to be exactly that. It will require less maintenance and is said to be fully autonomous, sometime in the future. This means it can run longer and with less of a labour cost. It is expected to launch sometime in 2021.

4. Model S Plaid Plus:

Now, this one is said to be the most luxurious longest running Tesla sedan. This is set to give more than 500 miles per charge. The Tesla Model S plaid plus will start shipping in the middle of 2022.

5. Cyber Quad:

While this was released at the same time as the cybertruck, it did not receive as much attention. It is a two person ATV and they have not revealed a lot of information as to its specs. It is set to be released around the same time as the cybertruck.

6. A Van:

While there hasn’t been any official news regarding this, there have been information leaks. It might be possible that Tesla is working on a 12 seating capacity van of its brand. It will be the first high capacity vehicle and might just be an impressive one. The release date is unknown.

7. The $25,000 Car:

At a company’s event, Tesla said that a fully autonomous Tesla would hit the market three years from now. It will be cheaper than any other car that they have ever made. You can guess the price from the title. While the timeline isn’t confirm, work is said to begin on it within 2021.

These are just mere hints into the world of the future. From just these few vehicles, we can see a prospect greater than anything in the automotive industry.

Wearable Tech Takes Aim at Health Care Costs

Stroll around the office or neighborhood six times a day, and earn $1.50 toward your health insurance. Step up activity a bit more and bring the total to $1,400 annually.

The catch: you need to wear a special activity tracker that monitors steps taken “intensity” levels and other physical indicators.

That’s the offer in a new insurance product marketed by UnitedHealthcare, the second-largest US health insurer, one of many programs aimed at boosting physical fitness and reducing health insurance costs for employers and employees.

“One of the greatest challenges we have is how to incentivize and motivate individuals to be accountable for their own heath and well- being,” said Steve Beecy of UnitedHealthcare.

He called the Trio Tracker device, introduced with technology partner Qualcomm, “a game-changer.”

Companies in the US are increasingly offering employees financial incentives for healthy activity

Across the US, employers are stepping up the use of technology in “wellness” programs that encourage healthier lifestyles.

Wellness programs aren’t new, but technology like activity trackers has transformed them with more precise measurements and automated uploads to verify activity.

A survey of more than 200 large employers by the National Business Group on Health found 37 percent used activity trackers in 2015 and another 37 percent planned to adopt the technology in coming years.

Wearable tech

“There is a strong interest (in the use of technology) because of the impact on an employer’s long-term health care costs,” said Scott Marcotte of Xerox Human Resources, which participated in the study.

Makers of activity trackers such as Fitbit and Jawbone have been expanding their efforts to be part of corporate wellness programs.

One of the biggest tie-ups was announced last year when US retail giant Target said it would offer free or discounted Fitbit trackers to its more than 300,000 employees.

Gamification

As a further incentive, Target said it would allow teams of employees which log the most average daily steps to collect more than $1 million for local non-profit organizations.

This strategy of providing financial incentives for healthy activity is known in the industry as “gamification.”

Jimmy Fleming of the consulting group Healthy Wage said financial incentives can make a difference in spurring healthier behaviors.

“We have a lot of clients who want to subsidize the program and make it free, but it’s less effective,” Fleming said. “There has to be both a carrot and a stick.”

wearable-tech-smart-watch

One program being offered through health services firm Vitality Group provides an Apple Watch for $25, a fraction of the retail cost. But employees must “pay” for the device by completing workouts and gym visits each month.

Growth in such programs over the past few years coincides with incentives to meet Obamacare goals on preventive care, and with new research suggesting that more activity can ward off many medical ailments.

Data mining

But the new programs raise questions about private data collected and stored by insurers.

While employers and insurers must comply with US privacy regulations so that health data cannot be seen or used by employers, critics still worry.

“Technology is outpacing the legal protections in place,” said Bradley Shear, a Washington lawyer specializing in privacy.

“While some employee wellness programs and the data collected may be protected under (federal privacy law), others may not be.”

A report this year by the University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab warned of potential problems. For example, there have been situations where fitness tracker-related information was introduced in sexual assault cases or personal injury claims.

“Such data, if it can be manipulated, brings such evidence into question as well as the broader trustworthiness of fitness tracker data … there are also concerns that the radios in fitness trackers could be used to monitor their wearers’ movements,” the report said.

Barbara Duck, a technology consultant who writes a blog on health privacy, said the financial incentives are not worth it.

Duck said that although insurers cannot sell or disclose personal health data, “they can put a score on your head and sell that.”

“It’s not about making you healthier in the long run, it’s about collecting more data to sell and to score you with,” she said.

Also, some employees will feel compelled to participate because they cannot afford the financial penalties if they don’t, Duck said.

Sales of wearable tech devices surged nearly 200 percent in the third quarter of last year to 21 million units, according to the latest IDC survey.

Some surveys show as many as 20% of Americans use a fitness tracker.

IDC analyst Lynne Dunbrack said it will take the time to see if fitness trackers take hold in the workplace and achieve their goals.

“Part of the challenge with these programs is that the ones who tend to use it the most and stay with it are not the target population for the chronic problems,” she said.

Samsung Follows Apple With Mobile Payment Launch In China

Samsung\

South Korea’s Samsung Tuesday announced the launch of its mobile payment service in China, where it is likely to struggle in an already crowded market that arch-rival Apple entered nearly six weeks ago.

The world’s second largest economy is also the world’s biggest smartphone market, and Samsung Pay has a powerful partner in China — bank card provider UnionPay — which has links to the central bank.

But unlike most other countries, mobile payment systems are already well-established in China, with local providers dominating the market.

As an outsider Samsung will also have to compete with Apple, which launched its own Apple Pay system last month — also in partnership with Union Pay.
Top 7 Most Awaited Games

The South Korean electronics giant said its service currently supports selected credit and debit cards from nine Chinese banks and is available on its top-end Galaxy smartphones, with mid-range models to follow.

Like its California-based rival, Samsung Pay’s initial challenge will be securing a foothold in such a competitive market place.

China had 359 million online payment users in mid-2015, up almost 18 percent in six months, according to the state-backed China Internet Network Information Center.

Mobile transactions were valued at some 9.3 trillion yuan ($1.4 trillion) last year, up an annual 57 percent, one industry estimate showed.

The dominant mobile and online payment providers are e-commerce giant Alibaba with nearly three-quarters of the market, followed by Tencent — operator of the popular messaging app WeChat — which has some 17 percent, according to Beijing-based BigData Research.

A major issue for Samsung is the recent downturn in the popularity of its smartphones in China.

It was China’s top smartphone maker in 2012 and 2013, but domestic manufacturer Xiaomi took the throne in 2014.

In the fourth quarter of last year, Samsung ranked sixth in China with a 7.0 percent market share, compared to 13 percent for third-placed Apple.

The Apple brand commands a strong following in China, especially as a status symbol among the emerging middle class.

Founder of The Startup

ConnectHear was created by Azima Dhanjee and Arhum Ishtiaq back in 2017.

“I believe it is that and the continuous innovation that helped us win this award. We were really hopeful that this time they would recognize our struggle and consistent work for the community.” Ishtiaq said in an interview on Sunday, adding “that they had been applying for the award since 2019”.

The inspiration behind the whole idea was Azima Dhanjee’s parents, who are also deaf. “Once they announced ConnectHear as the global winner, my mom hugged me tightly as I was screaming,” Dhanjee said with excitement.

“My parents were my inspiration towards this idea. Growing up, I never felt my parents were different as we led a very normal life just like my friend’s families did. However, once my schooling started, and I interacted with more people. I realized how quickly people would stare at us at hospitals, parent-teacher meetings, malls, just because we would talk to each other in sign language,” she added.

Saboor Aly Hugging Her Groom Bestfriend Sparks Controversy

Saboor Aly has come under the blazing, roving eyes of the critics and it’s over her best friend’s wedding!

Saboor Aly’s Bestfriend Gets Married

Umair Qazi is Aly’s best friend who tied the knot over the past weekend. The loads of pictures we see of Sajal Aly decked up in lehenga choli in the past few days have been courtesy of that wedding!

A post shared by showbiz Lovers (@showbiz2021_)

Naturally, one is all smiles, dressed and joyous at a best friend’s wedding and so was Saboor Aly! However, netizens neither approved of her clothing nor of her behaviour with her groom best friend.

What’s The Point of Critique?

The criticism being levied towards the actor is due to her hugging her best friend. The same one who happens to be the groom! People are raising questions and expressing their discontent with her “hugging” him too closely.

Surely you know hugging from 6 feet apart is the preferred style of hugging by netizens when it comes to opposite genders.

The Hug That’s Raising Eyebrows

The Comments Pouring In

If you’re wondering the sort of questions and comments pouring in, here’s an insight!

Are These Criticisms Well-Founded?

Truth be told, this is 2021 and we must normalise platonic friendships between a man and a woman! In the day and age of co-education, there is nothing wrong with opposite genders forming a platonic friendship with each other.

Don’t people hug their friends? Of course, they do and that’s exactly what Saboor Aly is doing! Plus, even the concerns on the inappropriateness of the act are not well-founded considering the person who is getting married is also okay with it.

The Other Side of the Argument

The whole domino-effect argument which is that “celebrities act as role models so what standard is she setting” has its own validity. Saboor Aly’s choice of dressing and her conduct with her male friends also comes to form a place of privilege.

Many young women and girls can face serious consequences ranging from corporal punishment to honour killings if they behave the same way. Our society is constructed in two extreme polar ends both of which can neither relate nor empathise with the other.

But, at the end of the day, there are better ways to say the same thing. These comments are highly personal and vile which is unfair to people celebrating in a way they always have.

Coming from a society where marrying your phuppo ka larka (cousin) is as normal as drinking chai, we are no strangers to people calling someone hubby they have been calling bhai. While bhai to hubby is common, so is baji to beau, as we can see from Azeem Khan and Saba Qamar event.

Azeem Khan, Saba Qamar’s beau

Azeem Khan has been a piece of trending news ever since it was revealed that Saba Qamar is dating him. The influencer/blogger, with a 42.5k following, got almost 20k more followers within a few days.

Content that would seem very meninist, Azeem Khan posts his own commentary on current issues and also posts his followers’ voice notes. Among these posts was one from mid-2020. It was a response to Saba Qamar’s video that she released during the covid induced lockdown. He captioned ‘Saba Qamar Baji Jawab toh banta hai’.

His past track record

If you want to put yourself through torture to listen to this series of video clips, be my guest. But I will tell you that they reek of anti-logic. You know how some people are; whenever someone wants to present a current issue, they have to negate it. This is exactly what happened. When Saba mentioned how women are maltreated in the name of marriage, instead of acknowledging it, he contradicts the entire issue by saying, “But we are also exploited.”

And when someone invalidates a whole community’s experience because they want to say that they are also important, one knows they are full of shit.

Is this person now DATING Saba?

It is still as shocking as we heard it the first time considering her views are totally opposite of what he conveys in his videos.

It is a baji to beau journey I would like Saba to convey because of the way Azeem conveys it, trying to be funny, he only comes off as irritating and annoying.

Touchscreen Tablets Beneficial To Visually Impaired: Study Finds

A touchscreen tablet, such as Apple’s iPad, can be beneficial to people suffering from vision loss or visual impairments, a Canadian study has found. The device can be as effective as a traditional visual aid, but is less costly and is free from any associated stigma.

Apple’s famous tablet has several advantages, including helping people suffering from vision loss see and read information more easily, researchers at Canada’s Concordia University have found. The study is the first experimental evidence of its kind.

Concordia’s researchers selected 100 participants aged 24 to 97, just over half of whom were suffering from age-related macular degeneration (AMD or ARMD). This degenerative disease affects the central area of the retina, leading to the progressive loss of central vision.

A touchscreen tablet can be just as effective as a traditional magnification device for the visually impaired

This makes certain tasks, such as reading, more difficult. While there’s currently no treatment that can restore sight in ARMD patients, several visual aids are on the market to help sufferers read more easily.

Researchers asked the volunteers a series of questions and tested their visual ability with an iPad and two traditional magnification devices. They compared the results to evaluate how reading rates varied from one device to the next.

Unsurprisingly, they found that most of the participants struggled to read the small and medium-sized text. For a quarter of participants, reading the larger text was considerably easier.

“What was interesting to note was that it didn’t matter what technology was used to do the magnification: an iPad worked just as well as a traditional device like a closed circuit television system (CCTV),” explains Elliott Morrice, a Master’s student in Concordia’s psychology department and the study’s first author.

Experience also had a role to play, it seems, as the researchers found that participants who had already used an iPad read 30 words per minute faster, on an average than those using the device for the first time.

What’s more, touchscreen tablets carry none of the stigma associated with traditional magnification devices, making the user’s disability or vision problems less easily identifiable, the researchers added. “Tablet computers offer many of the same benefits while being socially acceptable,” highlights Aaron Johnson, the study’s senior author.

Vision loss and poor vision currently affect one in three Canadians over the age of 50, and prevalence is increasing as the population ages. These conditions make daily life more difficult while also increasing the risk of falls, fractures and social isolation.

Dreams of Thunder For Pakistani Seeking Formula 1 Glory

Saad Ali is in pole position to become Pakistan’s first Formula 1 driver, a seemingly impossible target in a country with no race tracks and where all the sport sponsorship money is poured into the national obsession — cricket.

The 28-year-old faces significant hurdles before he can become one of 22 elite drivers at the pinnacle of motorsport, but a decade after his “clueless” beginning as a college dropout hooked on racing, he is edging towards his target.

“As a kid I was always interested in cars, but there was no racing in Pakistan, it was not even on television,” he says.

He competed in the Formula Gulf 1000 series in 2014, reaching the podium to take third place twice in one weekend in Abu Dhabi.

Describing that race as a “big stepping stone”, he adds it was “proof to me that this is something that I could pursue and achieve”.

Now he must conquer the Formula 3, GP3 and GP2 classes, seen as stepping stones on the road to Formula 1.

“Getting there is extremely tough, extremely hard, extremely competitive,” he says.

It is also expensive. “I have been racing by myself for the country without support, flying the Pakistani Flag on circuits making a name for racing (here) says Ali, who last year was only able to compete in go-karting’s 2F2F Endurance Grand Prix in Pakistan due to the sheer costs of taking part in motorsport.

Saad_Ali

Currently, he uses the money earned from his job at information technology company Swiftclick, and his documentary-film work to fund his obsession.

He has more races later in 2016. But estimates he will need around $2 million in sponsorship over the next three or four years to achieve his dream of racing alongside the likes of Sebastien Vettel or Lewis Hamilton.

“For motorsports you need that expertise, you need those mechanics, you need facilities, infrastructure, you need that architecture to actually perform,” he says.

Right now, he has to make do with a simulator at his home, where he practises his manoeuvres.

The odds of international successes are against him. “There are very few people in the world who make a living from driving racing cars –- and even fewer in F1,” Matthew Marsh, a leading F1 TV commentator and former racer, tells AFP.

Young and restless

The absence of any sort of official motor racing in Pakistan beyond go-karting means he is unlikely to find the deep wallets he needs there.

Saad_Ali First Formul 1 driver

But Ali says building tracks would not only boost the economy but help save the lives of restless young Pakistanis who take their need for speed underground.

One 22-year-old racer who asked to remain anonymous told AFP that races take place in Pakistan’s major cities in the dead of the night despite accidents and police chases.

“There have been accidents, some really bad in which people have died, but this thing goes on as you cannot restrict youth,” he says.

“If there is a proper track, the risk of accidents would be minimised and the passion of young people for racing could be groomed,” he argues.

Ali agrees, saying: “The first thing that we need in the country is a race track… People who are racing on the roads, they will go to that particular facility and their need for speed and everything can be brought out in a very, very safe manner”.

Baber Kaleem Khan, the editor of the Pakwheels.com motoring blog, says there would be an economic benefit.

“Motorsports isn’t just a sport, it is a massive capital generating program as well,” he says.

“Engineering development that goes on in the car, the training of the driver, the staff and students, the product and the commercial development, it has a trickle down effect on local businesses who could develop and export parts from here.”

 The road to Formula 1

Ali becomes interested in racing when he was in college in Islamabad in 2006, adding: “I was absolutely clueless as nobody in Pakistan had done professional race car driving”.

He dropped out and went to the Formula BMW Racing Center (FBRC) Bahrain, where aspiring drivers can learn the art of racing.

“After three days of training I joined the racing school’s championship,” he says, describing the decision as a “pivotal” point in his life.

Saad_Ali First Formul 1 driver

Sitting in a claustrophobic racing car for the first time nearly put the brakes on his F1 dream, he admits.

“When you sit in a race car and you put on the helmet, you can’t breathe properly,” he says, adding that with the seat belts so tight they left three-inch marks branded on his shoulders, he could only get his lungs about half full.

But he pushed through and has since been racing in the Formula BMW and Formula Renault circuits.

The scale of what he is trying to do has not escaped him. “If you go to Formula 1 that’s 22 of the best drivers competing against each other.”

But, Ali believes, if he was given the opportunity, he would “definitely achieve a lot more….The thrust is there, the desire is there, the fire and the hunger — everything is there”.

Giant Ship EverGreen Refloats Unblocking The Egypt Suez Canal

Suez Canal and Ship blocked

[Update]: The giant ship that was stuck in the Suez Canal causing a huge traffic jam in the canal has now been freed. But considering that the canal has almost 450 ships, one can only wonder how long it will take to clear the jam. And this can be even more damaging to the economy because the route of the Suez Canal accounts for almost 12 percent of the entire global trade.

The rescue of Evergreen (as the ship is called) came about after the diggers had removed sand of about 27,000 cubic meters from the canal banks.

[March 26th, 2021]: Every day, we see various incidents taking place all around us. Whether it is the news of a pandemic or something related to a train, we always hear about it. Do any of you remember the explosion in Beirut? If you do, you might just even reel back a little just thinking about it. Similarly, a shocking incident took place on a Tuesday. On the Suez Canal channel, a ship got stuck sideways!

Due to that accident, now the entire ship is lodged on the canal. There is no way around it, over it, or under it. It is, quite plainly, just stuck in the channel. This canal is the source of trading for millions of ships every year.

On average, about fifty ships pass through that channel every day. Efforts to dislodge it are currently underway, and the authorities are hard at work. Despite the numerous efforts, it may take a while before the ship is completely free of the issue.

The Suez Canal:

As many of you may already know, the Suez Canal is a location in Egypt. It is a passageway that provides room for quite a lot of trade between countries. For many years, it has stood as a symbol of peace and progress. It is quite huge and has a lot of traffic coming through it every single day. Now, however, it seems that the traffic has stopped for a while. This is due to the presence of a ship lodged across the canal.

The ship in question goes by the name of EverGreen, and it has been stuck there for quite a while. According to sources, it costs about 400 Million dollars a day of loss each day that it is stuck. That is a substantial amount of cost that is being lost due to this incident. However, on slightly more positive news, the memes have started to pop up.

Ever Given Memes:

As soon as the pictures of the canal and the ship started to circulate, the memes began to pop up. By now, Twitter has exploded with people making hilarious comparisons to the pictures. Some of them are so relatable; people keep retweeting and sharing them again and again.

While the situation is definitely a dire one, these memes really have lifted people’s moods online. You may find an image of a ship, lodged, being compared to how the last year has gone by.

An Enormous Incident:

While the memes are pretty funny, we must remember that the situation is quite far from it. We hope and pray that the problem is resolved soon, with zero casualties. It is one of the most significant events of 2021 and will be definitely remembered as such. The loss is far too substantial, and it must be lodged out as soon as possible!

In Just Ten Minutes A Day, Gamers Can Improve Their E-Sports Skills!

Video Gaming All-Time High

It was during 2020 that most of the world shifted towards online gaming. Counter strike is not the only game that gamers started to play. Games like ‘Among Us’ and ‘Apex Legends’ have also seen a lot of activity.

So what is this new method that everyone is talking about? Apparently, there has been some research and its results were quite interesting.

All You Need Is Ten Minutes

According to the research team at Leto’s Esports science research lab, novice gamers benefitted most. They benefitted from wearing custom headsets that deliver tDCS for 20 mins before the gaming session. tDCS is Transcranial Direct Current Simulation. After exposure to this, there has been a significant increase in performance.

Volunteers have been asked to shoot down targets that appear left and right. Since most of the kills in counter-strike can be picked off from side flicks and swipes, left and right is critical. It shows that tDCS exerts an influence on training performance. Thus, it may be able to accelerate the performance of players by a substantial margin. Imagine teams like ‘Astralis’ and ‘NaVi’ going through this procedure.

This opens up quite a lot of prospects for gaming. If the headset is used by a lot of players daily, it can significantly improve skills. After the 20 minutes exposure, the players will then play the game for ten minutes. In these minutes, they will shoot down targets left and right as quickly and accurately as possible.

If we compare the results of the session before and after tDCS, there is much to be noted. According to this, you can not only improve your skills but rise higher in this domain. Gaming is a trend going higher than ever and is worth investing your time in. If you do get the time, check out some of the most widely played games of today. Many aren’t even paid ones but a lot of them are free-to-play.

Video gaming is quite an interesting sport and it has a lot of potential within it. Whether it is the console gamers world or the PC gaming one, video games are famous. In light of this, there has come a method forward. This method shows how a gamer can improve skills by training for just ten minutes a day.

During the time of a pandemic, video gaming took a substantial rise. Since people were not allowed to go outside and interact, they had to come up with alternate means of entertainment. This was a time when counter strike got even more famous than it already is.
