Ahsan Khan, the famous actor/host, is now facing a fine of Rs.500,000 for an interesting issue.

Ahsan Khan is the host of an ongoing reality TV show by the name of Time Out. There are often many guest appearances on the show. We have seen quite a lot of celebrities on it and each one with their own point of view. However, there have been other ongoings on the show as well. It seems that there are animals on the show too.

Fining Ahsan Khan and Time Out

While there are animals on the show, they are not being used as wholesome figures or cute pets. On time out, it seems that animals were being used as props! That is one of the highest forms of abuse that one can put an animal through. These are innocent and helpless creatures, they don’t deserve this kind of mistreatment.

Apparently, the host brought forward rabbits on the show. The rabbits were often placed on the laps of contestants and guests, for answering questions wrong. In such a case, the contestants would either yell at the rabbits or push them away or move away. This was, in simple words, harm to the creature itself. It’s causing them pain and suffering.

The Hefty Amount

The petition for the fine was filed by a lawyer Faizullah Khan Niazi. It was filed against the TV channel over animal abuse and violations. PEMRA then took this into consideration and saw it fit to impose a PKR 500,000 fine on Express Entertainment.

While it may seem hefty, it is justified due to the abuse that was taking place on the show. It had been happening for quite a while now and it was good news to see justice being done. Maybe this will finally urge them to stop using live animals. It is reported that pigeons were also used on the show, as props.

Caring For Animals

We hope that this incident helps knock some more sense into the TV channel authorities. While animals can be a subject of wholesome love and appreciation, they should not be abused and disturbed. They are God’s precious creations and we have no right to do them any harm.

We are glad that the national authorities are taking note of such acts and are provided with the swift hammer of justice. It shows that many people are willing to care for the well-being of animals. This incident has gone quite viral on the internet and people are pouring opinions by the dozens.

Talk about kidney issues. But whatever helps them sleep at night, I guess.

HEC Announces A New University Admission Policy For A Level Students

We already know how important education is to the system. A country itself cannot thrive well if there is no education present in it. Budgets for education, have to be set aside to make sure the country flourishes. If people were to not have an education, how will they move forward? Now we have another piece of news for you. The HEC has made a few amendments to the admission policy.

Due to the pandemic occurring, many educational places have been shut down. Classes have been moved to an online schedule. People are now adapting to this new way of life as routines continue to bloom. Among such chaos, examinations have also been cancelled in Pakistan. Students who had spent countless hours, studying, are now sitting idle. They want to give the exams but the virus simply won’t let them.

HEC New Policy:

The examinations for A levels second year have also been moved forward. Students who were expected to appear in May will now be sitting in October. This shows that a whole year can go to waste because they will be stuck in between. To counter this problem, the HEC has decided to make the university admission policy more lenient.

Instead of waiting for the A2 result to apply to universities, the places are ready to give provisional admissions. This is so there is no wastage of time between now and when the A2 students finally give their papers. Provisional admission allows students to start with their undergraduate programs. The admission is then confirmed when the A2 results will finally be here.

Making Things Easier:

This is quite a good move on the end of HEC. It makes it easier for students to pursue higher education without any hindrance. Additionally, it even allows students to explore what they want to pursue. Provisional admission is something that can also be easily cancelled. If a student wants to switch fields, this can be a good way to check a field.

We hope that the A-levels students can get provisional admissions, as said by the HEC. The decision has also been made by the heads of some private universities. It comes at a time when education is critical. A person is still trying to see where they fit in the world and they want to experience university life.

Recently, Yasir posted an IGTV where he is seen driving his car. However, on the passenger seat, a guy looks like a beggar or a drug addict. Yasir is seen talking to the guy who seems like a conversion about drugs. After filming the video for almost two minutes, Yasir drops him off and then signs off.

The Public’s Criticism

What seems like a general conversation is wrong on so many levels, and the public is calling him out for it. Yasir got criticized on why is he filming the video in the first place? What is the point of posting such a video? Did he take the consent from the guy because it seems like he is hiding the camera to film the video and so on?

1. Receding Hairlines

The Renaissance period actually preferred receding hairlines. Unlike today, large foreheads were considered beautiful. How did women achieve this? By plucking all the hair out from their foreheads and keeping hair tightly tucked in bonnets.

2. Skull Shaping

By 1000 BC, many tribes were shaping skulls. Perhaps this was the only part of the body that had not fallen victim yet, but then it did. They would strap a child’s skull to a metal mould to cause it to shape this way. Apparently, this was beautiful!

3. Long Fingernails

For the Qing Dynasty of China, long fingernails did not mean the same as ours. Long actually meant 8-10 inches long! This was considered a symbol of beauty and also wealth because it showed that they had to do nothing at all.

4. Ditch The Eyelashes

Middle age and the Renaissance period were experimenting a lot with hair. Turns out, there was also a phase of no eyelashes where women plucked them away. Thank God this one didn’t stick with us!

5. Black Teeth

Women in Japan would not approve of teeth whitening strips today. Their tradition was based on painting teeth black after marriage for a long time. It was known as Ohaguro and was practised in much of the 19th century.

6. Separated Breasts

As women were wearing corsets and coming into discovering cleavage separated breasts also came through. They were achieved through what is called a ‘divorce corset’. Gone were the days of tight cleavages, women now were found beautiful if they flaunted huge gaps between their breasts.

7. Unibrows

Greeks were huge fans of the unibrows. Lucky for them, they did not have threading issues!

Previously, the solution for acne was beauty patches. They were made from pricey fabrics like silk or velvet and coated in a gum adhesive to keep them in place. They also came in a variety of decorative shapes including crescents, hearts, and stars which women wore on their faces.

The speculations grew but the two people, Saba Qamar and Azeem Khan maintained the position that it was a legit relationship. In fact, Saba Qamar even called this her most adventurous move, ‘getting engaged to someone she had never even met’. But as all controversies and scandals go, the hype faded away and people forgot all about Azeem Khan.

Earlier, when Saba was engaged to him, we had asked and answered the question, “Who is Azeem Khan?” But today, it seems we need to ask, “Where is Azeem Khan?” Yes, you read that right.
