Saba Qamar has cleared all rumors surrounding the news of her signing a new film which is around Kulbushan Jadhav’s life.

A local entertainment portal had reported this news to which Qamar took it to social media to clarify that this news is not true.

She tweeted:

It’s always so funny to know that behind my back I have signed another film that even I am not aware of! Honestly, If I do a film I will tell all of you myself that’s what I am here for. I am only doing Kamli for now, so stop posting fake news for the sake of ratings only!

Whereas the local portal shared that they only went ahead with this news after getting confirmation from 3 other individuals who are involved in this project including a statement from the producer.

Saba Qamar

Saba replied to this stating that she should have been the one they should have asked because their headline is about her. She further on mentioned that their claim of asking for a confirmation from her is wrong.

She also mentions that she is denying this news publically because her name was used without consent.

saba qamar reply

Shamoon Abbasi has also replied to this news stating:

A humble request to the producers and filmmakers that are going to make films in the future, kindly lock things up with me before sending reports to bloggers and newspapers without any confirmation with me in the films.

This is the second film that I am mentioned in without any confirmation. Not that I mind but clarifying the matter with the news becomes a hassle indeed

Is Sugar Better Than Nicotine? KitKat Thinks So!

kit kat cigarette

One of the most common things about workplaces is smoke breaks, and the time wasted on them is surprising.

Not to forget the health issues they cause, of course.

Here is what an American research says about smoke breaks taken my American employees:

While the average smoker takes roughly six days of smoke breaks every year, time wasted on smoke breaks fluctuated greatly for Americans in various industries. Americans in technology, wholesale and retail, and finance and insurance spent more than an hour and 20 minutes each day on smoke breaks at work. Those breaks equated to over 40 hours a month and more than 20 days every year for each industry.

So it seemed like a breath of fresh air when the following KitKat ad popped up on our timeline:

Chocolate is more delicious, quicker to consume, and does not cause mouth/lung cancer or breathing problems.

The post is receiving a mixed response, and not unexpectedly so.

comments on kit kat

While many are loving the new idea and tagging their friends, asking them to bring chocolate instead of smokes next time, many are pointing out how replacing cigarette with chocolate can cause diabetes and that’s not any nicer either.

Would you have chocolate breaks instead of cigarette breaks?

Shafqat Amanat Ali Sends Love to Indian Singer After Farhan Saeed Insults Him for Plagiarism!

farhan saeed slams bollywood singer

It does not really come across as a surprise when we hear of Bollywood copying a Pakistani song.

It has been happening since forever, hasn’t it? Some of the most popular Pakistani songs have been copied by Bollywood and without any due credit given.

That’s what makes the act all the more unethical.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sz37RqS9lbk

However, we were surprised when we saw Pakistani popstar and actor, Farhan Saeed openly call out a Bollywood singer and composer on copying the chorus of his song, Roiyaan.

Not only did Farhan call out Salim for copying his tune, he even went so far as to insult the copied version.

Salim then responded to Farhan’s tweet calling it a ‘mere coincidence’, and with unexpected calm:

Listen to both songs and decide for yourself if it is a blatant copy or not.

Roiyaan by Farhan Saeed (came out 5 years ago):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3LF0HRRHQY

Haareya by Salim Merchant (came out a few days ago):

Farhan later pointed out that both artists had the same lyricist, too. What sort of coincidence was that?

Amidst all this chaos, we noticed the legendary Shafqat Amanat Ali sending love to the Indian artist everyone was busy shaming.

Here’s what Shafqat said:

Thank you Bhaijaan @salim_merchant this song will always be close to my heart.. what a beautiful composition… it’s really your masterpiece…

Even though this little exchange of love is about another song, Yeh Hausla, sung by Shafqat and composed by Salim, it seems that it was timed well.

Take a look at the song they’re talking about:

Plagiarism should be discouraged no matter what art form it shows up in.

We hope that, in future, artists will at least have the courtesy to give credit to the original work of art.

Singer Mustafa Zahid was recently asked on Twitter if he will ever return to Bollywood.

“Sir, when will you return to Bollywood,” a social media user asked the artist on his Twitter page, to which the singer responded, “When Bollywood returns to music.”

Denying all the media reports, Mustafa said that the statement is false:

“This is absurd because none of these papers or blogs interviewed me in the first place. It’s absolutely fake and I expect both to take it off now,” he wrote on Twitter.

Orientation Dinner Hosted for AdAsia Lahore 2019

AdAsia19

An Orientation-Dinner and a curtain-raiser for AdAsia 2019 was hosted in Karachi, by the Chairman, Organizing Committee AdAsia Mr. Sarmad Ali and the Chairman of Pakistan Advertising Association (PAA) Mr. Ali Mandviwalla.

The two industry-leaders informed the advertising community, media fraternity, advertisers and marketers about the international stalwarts who will be speaking at the Congress.

AdAsia is the largest and most prestigious advertising congress in Asia, organized bi-annually, since 1958, by the Asian Federation of Advertising Associations (AFAA). AdAsia 2019 is the 31st edition in this series and the second one to be held in Pakistan.

Prime Minister – Imran Khan has been invited to inaugurate the event, themed as ‘Celebration: Celebration of Advertising and Creativity in Asia’. The culturally-rich metropolis of Lahore has been chosen as the venue for this mega-event, to promote the soft image of Pakistan.

The President of Pakistan – Dr. Arif Alvi has also conveyed a special message to the Congress delegates and international investors, saying:

As Pakistan is now achieving rapid socio-economic progress. It is the right time to invest and capitalize on emerging opportunities, while our advertising revenues will increase manifold over the next few years. International delegates must visit the historic city of Lahore and also explore the beauty of Northern Pakistan.

Mr. Sarmad Ali stated:

It is an honor for Pakistan to host AdAsia 2019 after 30 years. The previous event held in 1989 was a memorable endeavor that set the course and direction of the advertising industry in Pakistan. This year, we are once again committed to using Congress to carve the way forward for the advertising and marketing communications industry.

Mr. Javed Jabbar – an iconic figure of Pakistan’s advertising industry, also graced the orientation dinner in Karachi. He appreciated the consistent efforts and success of the communications professionals in the country and said:

Bringing AdAsia back to Pakistan after 30 years is a significant step towards correcting the very unfairly negative image of our country in any part of the world. It will demonstrate actual Pakistan.

We are a nation of peaceful, pluralistic people who are warm-hearted and extraordinarily hospitable as every foreigner who visits Pakistan for the first time is pleasantly surprised to discover.

AdAsia 2019 will enable overseas visitors, in particular, to note that there is a robust and active dimension to our communication, media, and marketing despite the ongoing economic meltdown.

In Pakistan, there is energy, creativity and they will get to experience our rich and splendid culture too. I am looking forward to the great showcase that will be opening up in December in Lahore.

Hosting the AdAsia Congress once again is a tremendous achievement. This mega-event will place Pakistan on the global advertising map, as a highly progressive nation making great contributions in the global economy.

Globally renowned speakers like; Former Secretary of State of UK – Lord William Hague, CNN’s Chief Business Correspondent – Richard Quest, Founder & CEO of Zuckerberg Media – Randi Zuckerberg, Former Marketing Director of Manchester United – Peter Draper, Founder of WPP plc – Sir Martin Sorrell, Global Chief Marketing Officer of Burger King – Fernando Machado and Head of Innovation at Zenith Media – Tom Goodwin have already confirmed their participation as speakers at AdAsia 2019.

Mr. Ali Mandviwalla appreciated the overwhelming response that the Congress has so far received and said;

AdAsia Lahore will inspire the deployment of the evolving technologies that have revolutionized communications in the modern world.

This will be a resourceful platform for industry leaders to learn from each other and formulate collective strategies for combining our expertise to accelerate collective growth.

Stimulating topics and experiences, shared by the most learned speakers will be the highlights of this Congress.

Fawad Khan to essay the role of a blind man in his next film opposite Mahira Khan?

Fawad and Mahira

The Humsafar duo, Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan created waves with their superhit chemistry in the drama.

Since then, they got labeled as one of the most iconic Pakistani onscreen couples and fans kept hoping to see the two star in projects together.

Fans will surely see them together in The Legend of Maula Jatt, which is said to release soon. However, according to reports, the film is more focused on Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi’s fight than Fawad’s romantic involvement with Mahira.

Both the Khan’s made guest appearances in Parey Hut Love but they did not screen space leaving the fans wanting for more.

Now, if rumours are to be believed, the two will be seen in another project together very soon.

According to a report by Entertainment PK, Mahira and Fawad have signed a film together. The publication earlier informed that the script of the film is written by Fawad Khan himself! However, new information reveals that the script is penned by a fresh writer while Fawad is also involved in the scripting.

“He was not satisfied with it which is why the film got delayed so much,” the source revealed.

The report also states that the film was supposed to go on floors last year in December. But, it was delayed as the script needed some working.

Sources further revealed that the film is set to go on floors in October and Fawad Khan will be seen essaying the role of a blind man.

We can only wait to find out how authentic this news really is.

Sorry Apple Fans, iPhone 11 Does NOT Support 5G!

iPhone 11 5G

Apple‘s iPhone 11 announcement was one of the biggest events to happen this year. While the brand did not disappoint their fans on price and specification, there is one thing they missed.

Once again, another year will go by when an Apple iPhone is unable to support 5G. However, rivals like Samsung, OnePlus, and LG have already started distributing devices with support.

However, the question is if Apple is doing this on purpose and is waiting a whole year because of a plan? The original iPhone launched on 2G/Edge when many other phones were 3G-capable at the time.

Apple was not in a hurry to introduce 4G support and LTE for their sets either. On the other hand, experts believe that Apple will take the 5G jump in 2020 with new iPhones. Those phones will be able to deliver much faster data rates and will feature a more substantial design change than this year’s iPhone 11 and 11 Pro as per their insights.

Diamond Supreme Foam Takes a Jab at “Paapa Jaani”!

diamond supreme foam latest ad

When Pakistanis think of buying a mattress, one of the first things that pop in theirheads is the classic Meri Nanhi Pari Naye Ghar ko Chali ad by Master Molti Foam, one of the most popular mattress manufacturers in Pakistan.

While the old ad plays very smartly on the emotional insight of its target audience, and so does its new version, the viewers of today don’t seem too convinced by the whole idea of marketing a mattress as an essential part of dowry.

Take a look at the new version of the ad:

Now look at how people reacted to the ad:

Anyway, a recent ad by Diamond Supreme Foam (major competitor of Master) takes a dig at Master in a lighthearted, non-offensive way.

Take a look at the ad:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUMQdpYCAIU

Starring Mehwish Hayat and Ali Zafar, the ad shows a wife getting upset at her husband for ordering a mattress online instead of opting for the reliable old “Papa Jani recommended mattress”.

Papa Jani is the key word; it says it all without saying anything about Master.

In a cute, casual banter, Diamond manages to convey the message that their mattresses can be ordered online and full customer support is provided to customers through their website and UAN.

Of course, after looking at the mattress, sitting on it and finding out about the great customer support Diamond offers, the wife is totally convinced that Diamond was the right choice to make.

It isn’t too bad a way to convince the target audience of the reliability and convenience your product offers, no?
