WhatsApp has been experimenting with many different features in order to tackle fake news and other privacy-related matters.

Recently, the application was spotted testing a no-screenshot feature which prevented a user from taking shots of the chat.

Now, it is speculated that Instagram and Snapchat are also deciding to prevent users from doing the same.

In a recent report, Dazeinfo has shared that Snapchat is going to make it even trickier for individuals to capture the images, even the old turn-off-the-wifi-and-screenshot trick will not work for users.

On the other hand, Instagram might take-up Snapchat’s idea of notifying users of the name of the user who has done the deed.

Not only will these restrictions contribute to helping with privacy and curbing of fake news, but will also help in building trust between the user and the platform, given how Facebook has been in hot waters over user privacy and other reasons the last few months.
