Wasim Akram Shares Karachi Beach Video & You Will Not Believe Your Eyes! [Watch Video]

Pakistan’s former cricket captain, Wasim Akram shared a video on his twitter congratulating Karachi over successful implementation over cleaning the Clifton beach.

Last year in September, Akram’s wife, Shaniera was catching up with her morning run when she found medical waste dumped at the beach.

People who visit the beach are seen littering.

The waste washes up on the shore and there’s even discharge of untreated sewage into the sea from a drain.

Shaniera took it to her social media and alerted the authorities!

She further tweeted: “I have stayed silent for too long. Every tv channel needs to be running this now. You have a duty of care to protect the lives of the people of Karachi and tell them Clifton beach, as it stands, is totally unsafe for anyone!”

She also alerted people didn’t just go to the beach and try to clean the biohazardous waste. Instead, she advised the area needs to be restricted for public and cleaned by professionals.

Fast forward, 30th January, Wasim Akram visited the beach and saw visible changes at the beach.

Report: Huawei Surpassed Apple to Become 2nd Largest Smartphone Vendor

Huawei becomes the second-largest smartphone vendor based on recent reports by analyst firms such as Strategy Analytics, Canalys, and Counterpoint Research.

In the year 2019, Huawei shipped 240 million phones beating tech giant Apple.

Samsung kept its lead like previous years shipping almost 300 million devices while Apple manages to bring in business shipping 200 million phones maintaining its spot as the third-largest smartphone vendor.

Chinese brands, Xiaomi and Oppo stood at the fourth and fifth places. Xiaomi shipped 125 million phones while Oppo shipped 120 million respectively.

It is worth mentioning here that Huawei as a brand comprises an affordable sub-brand called Honor that helps boosts the sales of the brand notably, hence the results.

Over 60% of customers of the brand come from China. The high rate of shipment of the phones in the region is expected as they provide direct access to Google Play Services on new devices.

Chinese masterminds must be applauded for choosing far more global appeal as the world watches them expand much further beyond their traditional borders.

However, the newest deadly coronavirus will affect the sales of the brand greatly in the region.

TikTok

TikTok was initially acquainted with the public as a quick video app that motivated lip-syncing with audio. The app incorporated with Musically back in 2017 to establish a larger and broader demographic. Today TikTok has over 500 million users, which is pretty cool if you ask us.

Byte

Byte, on the other hand, is the latest looping video app developed by Dom Hofmann, the creator of Vine. In 2018, Hofmann declared that he wasn’t finished creating the app and preferred to build a new and modern video looping app with better features.

TikTok not only delivers a chance for longer videos that are good, but it also provides an opportunity for bad videos to be longer. TikTok delivers the users with multiple in-app effects from a variety of options and editing features, to filters and sound audio.

Byte

Where TikTok delivers longer loop time, Byte, on the other hand, is only 6.5 seconds and doesn’t include the editing and extra features. If you wish to add sound in your byte, or an effect or filter, you have to do that yourself which is just extra work.

Let’s see whether Bytes will take off or not. The users of Byte are generally older than the ones on TikTok.

His inspiration this time around comes from Deepika Padukone’s latest venture, Chhapaak.

Foreign players will start flying in one week before the grand PSL 2020 opening ceremony, which will take place in Karachi’s National Stadium on 20th February 2020.

The Australian, English and South African players will join their teams three days before the tournament begins.

According to Business Insider, Bill Gates alerted the world to prepare for an outbreak such as the Corona Virus during Malaria Summit on April 18, 2018, in London, England. He predicted there could be a deadly virus risking many lives in the next decade.

Gates reiterated how historically diseases had affected the world population. In 1918 the influenza virus killed 30 million people within a period of just six months.

He added, “the next disease might not even be the flu, but something we’ve never seen.”

He’s always the optimist in the room but “there’s one area though where the world isn’t making much progress, and that’s pandemic preparedness.”

Given that we live in the interconnected world “people are always hopping on planes, crossing from cities on one continent to those on another in a matter of hours,” and diseases can spread like wildfire.

“In the case of biological threats, that sense of urgency is lacking,” he said.

The world needs to prepare for pandemics in the same serious way it prepares for war.

Reportedly, there have been 7,783 confirmed cases of the virus in mainland China and around the globe, including 170 deaths, according to Chinese officials.

Other cases have been emerging around the globe which indicates that the virus has been spreading quickly.

UK To Offer Fast-Track Unlimited Visa

A new visa scheme has been launched by the UK government for mathematicians, scientists, and researchers. The scheme facilitates fast-track unlimited visa offers to exceptional talent now.

Academics say, “Theresa May’s hostile immigration policy has deterred academics and researchers from pursuing careers in the UK.”

The official statement by UK Border Agency says, “A new, fast-track visa scheme to attract the world’s top scientists, researchers and mathematicians will open on 20 February.”

“This follows a commitment by the Prime Minister last summer to put science, research, and innovation on the top of the government’s agenda.”

K2 Airways is the Latest Entrant to Enter the Pakistani Aviation Market

A new airline, K2 Airways, is gearing up to take-off in Pakistan later this year. The Karachi-based airline will serve passengers all across the country.

The destinations include Chitral, Skardu, and Islamabad. K2 plans on flying across the borders to international destinations soon.

Chief Executive Officer at K2 Airways Tariq Raja shared, “We are looking to be as streamlined as possible when it comes to our operations, so we wanted to adopt one all-inclusive solution rather than several. This being said, there will always be the need to integrate with some form of the external system, and ENVISION’s modern architecture makes this simple and painless, allowing our team to focus on other things.”

The airline has signed up to use MRO and Flight Operations Software envision of Rusada for its fleets.

Furthermore, Rusada will implement the system in time for the maiden flight of K2 Airways.

CEO at Rusada Julian Stourton said, “We are seeing more and more the desire to move away from multiple disconnected systems and adopt a one-stop-solution. This is especially true with up-and-coming organizations such as K2 Airways. I am excited that we now get to play a significant part in their upcoming launch and future growth.”

The selected modules by Rusada accumulated in the fleets are as follows:

K2 Airways secured the aviation license by the Government of Pakistan back in 2019. Once the airline service comes into running the passengers can book the flight through their online portal.

On Wednesday, Sindh High Court has summoned Humayun Saeed to appear before the judge and explain to him as to why he delivered certain sexist dialogues in Mere Pass Tum Ho as the dialogues in the last episode left audiences confused and angry.

On the 25th of January, the last episode of the controversial drama series, Mere Pass Tum Ho released in cinemas across Pakistan.

Many people wonder as to why the writer, Khalil-ur-Rehman has not been called in for writing such offensive dialogues to appear on the big screen but the actor who performed it.

Regardless of the storyline and the sexist dialogues, the drama reached such heights that no drama has ever achieved. There is no denying that the actors involved in this drama series gave their best performances.

30th January 2020: Regal Automobiles is officially launching the Prince Pearl 800cc in Pakistan on 31st January 2020.

The event is reportedly being held at Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore at 5pm.

Update 12th November 2019: The launch of the highly awaited Regal Automobiles’ 800cc Prince Pearl REX7 hatchback has now been delayed until 2020.

According to sources, Prince Pearl will initially make its market appearance in January 2020 and will be available in manual as well as automatic transmission options.

The Price Pearl will be almost similar to the Yika E7, the original make, but one of the most prominent changes will be its interior which will be replaced from grey with fake-wood to a fuse of dual-toned grey.

There is still no official word on the reason behind the delay of the launch, however, one of the most common explanations can be the market slowdown which has also caused trouble for a lot of other automotive brands.

We have now to see whether it launces in the upcoming months or will face yet another round of delays, only time will tell.

Update 21st August 2019: Regal Automobiles’ 800cc Prince Pearl REX7 hatchback is ready to be launched in Pakistan this year in the month of September.

The hatchback will be a direct rival to Untied Auto Bravo another 800cc drive which was launched last year.

Reports have claimed that Prince Pearl will initially be available in manual transmission and an automatic variant will be out later this year.

Pictures hint that the vehicle will have a digital instrument cluster, power windows, power mirrors, touch screen infotainment system and an AMT gear lever.

Furthermore, the 800cc Prince Pearl has a  two-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel with Regal’s emblem and Price at the bottom of the steering wheel.

Update: Previously, we talked about that Regal Automobiles Industries Ltd. was gearing up to launch the highly-awaited Prince Pearl REX7 800cc hatchback.

Previously, we shared some specifications and a first look at what the Price Pearl looks like. PakWheels has shared images of the interior and exterior of the car which confirms some more of the specifications which we had earlier speculated.

As per the images, the following specifications have now been confirmed:

  • Digital Speedometer
  • Touchscreen LCD
  • Power Windows
  • Spare Tyre

It is also expected to officially be rolled out on to the streets of Pakistan mid-year with a price-tag of PKR 800,000 to compete with Suzuki’s WagonR and United Auto Bravo Hatchback.

Regal Automobiles Industries Ltd., the manufacturers behind Prince DFSK are gearing up to introduce the all-new Prince Pearl REX7 800cc hatchback in Pakistan.

The Pearl REX7 will be a direct competitor to the United Auto Bravo Hatchback and Suzuki Mehran.

Prince Pearl REX7 Specifications

As of now, sources have revealed that Prince Pearl is equipped with a 796cc water-cooler EFI engine giving 40hp @ 60 Nm torque. Sources have shared that it will be offered in 2 different variants, automatic and manual and will offer a top speed of 120-130km/h.

Furthermore, it is expected to offer the same features more or less which the Auto Bravo is currently offering.

Regal Automobile Industries and DFSK Group of China entered an agreement for assembling vehicles under the name ‘Prince’. Regal is Pakistan’s third largest motorbike manufacturer and is now also manufacturing light commercial vehicles and vans as well.

Pakistan’s largest real estate portal Zameen.com is all set to hold ‘Zameen Expo Karachi 2020’ at Expo Centre Karachi on February 1 and 2.

More than 140 builders and developers are expected to showcase major property projects currently dominating Pakistan’s real estate market.

The event will be inaugurated by Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi along with Zameen.com CEO Zeeshan Ali Khan on February 1.

Since 2014 Zameen.com has hosted 19 such expos in cities across Pakistan as well as in Dubai, featuring approximately 1,608 exhibitors and attracting more than one million visitors.

“We are beginning the year 2020 with the Karachi Expo, which should benefit the real estate industry as a whole,” said Zameen.com CEO Zeeshan Ali Khan.

He said all leading names from Pakistan’s real estate sector are participating in the Expo, which proves that such exhibitions are essential for the growth of the industry.
