Yasir Hussain Comes to Iqra Aziz’s Rescue From an Internet Troll!

People around the globe believe that celebs are public property and they can’t have a private life.

Every other day we witness celebs being trolled and someone or the other trying to put them down.

So, the recent case of this was the newly married Yasir Hussain when a troll commented under his nikah video:

“Bhai kitni Baar upload karoge ye video…abhi tak nikah k sadme me ho kya [How many times will you upload this video? Are you still unable to get out of the shock of marriage]?”

Yasir Hussain clapped back with a shrewd response as always to zip the troller shut and stated:

“tum se thori hui hai jo sadmy mai rahonga. mai toh khushi se laga raha hun [I didn’t get married to you for me to still be in shock. I’m putting these up happily].”

Another user shared an ‘enlightening’ comment on the newest groom and wrote that he should not post anything regarding his beautiful bride Iqra Aziz.

To that, the actor took out the blazing guns of words and said that people need to mind their own business.

Soon after, the social media users were clinging on to the thread below his Instagram post and applauding the actor for his response.

At the 18th edition of the Lux Style Awards on, Hussain went down on one knee and popped the question to his long-time girlfriend, Iqra and now the two are honeymooning in Sri Lanka.

Let’s hope trollers don’t start with these two love birds again.

Rosie Gabrielle is a Canadian traveler who had recently visited Pakistan. During her trip, she got a chance to learn about the culture and the religion of Islam.

On Thursday, the influencer announced that she has embraced the religion. When questioned how did she make the big decision, she shared that her trip to Pakistan is why.

She added that she paid accolades to Pakistan and its people who helped her get rid of the pain she has been going through for years and fulfill her desire to be free.

She wrote an Instagram post with the following message:

“What lead me to this Big decision?

As I mentioned previously, this last year was one of the hardest in my life, and all life’s challenges have led me to this point here and now. From a young child, I’ve always had a unique connection with the creation and a special relationship with God. My path was far from easy and I carried a lot of anger in my heart from a lifetime of pain, always begging God, why me? Until ultimately coming to the conclusion that all is meant to be, and even my suffering is a gift.

Never resonating with what I was brought up with, I denounced my religion 4 years ago, going down a deep path of spiritual discovery. Exploration of self, and the great Divine. I never let go of the sight of the Creator, in fact, my curiosity and connection only grew stronger. Now no longer dictated by fear, I was able to fully explore this righteous path.

As time passed, the more I experienced, the more I witnessed the true nature and calling for my life. I wanted to be free. Free of the pain and shackles that was hell. Liberation from the anger, hurt and misalignment. I wanted peace in my heart, forgiveness and the most profound connection with all. And thus started my journey.

The universe brought me to Pakistan, not only to challenge myself to let go of the last remaining traces of pain and ego but also to show me the way.

The Government of Pakistan has taken initiatives to reduce the plastic footprint in the country. A recent case in point is the ban on plastic bags levied in different cities including Karachi.

The Sindh government had imposed Section 144, a ban on polythene shopping bags in the metropolis from 1st October 2019.

On the other hand, brands are also playing a huge role in the country’s strive to plant more trees and to rid the Earth of non-degradable plastic.

One such brand that is doing their fair share to give back is none other than Shan.

Unfortunately, 100,000 marine creatures become the victim of our poison and die from plastic entanglement and these are the ones found. Approximately 1 million seabirds consume plastic and die.

What’s scarier is the fact that at least two-thirds of the world’s fish stocks are suffering from plastic ingestion, which means the fish you are about to put inside your mouth has possibly died from plastic you threw into the ocean!

These are just some of the countless examples of how our un-disposed plastic waste is killing our environment.

Change starts with you! For those of you who wish to also make a difference, there are many steps you can take. The first is to stop using plastic bags and use recyclable or reusable bags. Two, replace plastic with glass. Three, use proper means of disposal instead of littering.

This TikTok Security Flaw is Allowing Hackers Access a User’s Private Information!

TikTok gained fast momentum in Pakistan since its official launch, it had just 19.5mn downloads in 2019. The application has celebrities and fans hooked! However, it has also been under scrutiny for various reasons.

CheckPoint, a cyber-security firm has recently come across a major flaw in the application through which hackers can gain access to a user’s personal information, including their videos.

Furthermore, this flaw also allows hackers to message another individual’s from the user’s account. Through this, they send a suspicious link to other users which redirects them a page similar to TikTok’s homepage.

Eventually, their account becomes easier for hackers to access and hack. Reportedly, CheckPoint has informed TikTok about this flaw.

As a first step, the UAE has announced its first multiple-entry visa regime for all nationalities with five-year validity.

This news was announced on social media via the Dubai Media Office’s official page.

It tweeted:

“UAE Cabinet chaired by @HHShkMohd approves new amendment for tourist visas in #UAE. The new tourist visa will be valid for five years and can be used for multiple entries and is open for all nationalities.”

Moreover, the UAE premier’s account shared that the country attracts 21 million tourists every year, the decision for a UAE 5-Year Multi-Entry Visa will help increase this number.

Before this announcement, the country’s on-arrival tourist visa for multiple free entries was available only for 90 days from the date of entry.

Dubai will also be hosting the grand Expo 2020 which has taken years of planning and hard work.

Social activist, Nadia Jamil has always been very vocal about social issues and continues to raise her voice against evil practices in our society.

The actress is always on the go when comes to tackling social issues. The child protection server recently took Twitter to thank Ali Zafar, Shaan Shahid, Aima Baig and Imran Abbas for spending time with the children.

Jamil wrote a short on her social media:

Jamil is one actor in the drama industry who is socially woke. She has been in the news for raising her voice against issues such as sexual abuse, child labour, and child trafficking.

She also essayed a key role Angeline Malik’s Mujhay Jeenay Do that aired in 2017 and tackled the issue of child marriages.

Jamil also stated that she doesn’t endorse any fairness product after appearing at Samina Peerzada Show.

“I cannot and do not endorse the need for ANY woman to lighten her skin to look more attractive. A woman’s dark skin is her beauty. She should wear it with extreme pride and love! Yes, women come in different colours, shapes, sizes, and personas.

The actress was recently appointed as a goodwill ambassador by Sarah Ahmed.

The actor is currently working on the drama serial Damsa which revolves around child trafficking.

Karachi Ranked 6th Most Affordable City in the World!

In an annual report by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) on Worldwide Cost of Living for 2019, Karachi ranked as the 6th most affordable city in the world.

Although this might be very hard for Karachiites to believe because of the hike in prices as a result of inflation, for foreigners who earn in Dollars, Pounds, and Euros, it is true.

The report compiles a list of both the cheapest and most expensive cities in the world to live in the next year. A total of 160 essential commodities are considered to compile the ranking including the cost of food, drinks, living expenses, utility bills, education, etc.

“The survey itself is a purpose-built internet tool designed to help human resources and finance managers calculate cost-of-living allowances and build compensation packages for expatriates and business travelers”, the report states.

Karachi to Open First ‘3D Park’ in Lines Area

Karachiites are gearing up for yet another exciting attraction that is coming their way. The metropolis will get its first ‘3D Park’ in Lines Area on 25th January.

The park will feature animals in 3D (three-dimensional) effects. East DMC Chairman, Moid Anwar explained that these 3D murals will be painted on the walls of the park.

He stated:

“The animal drawings on the walls will give 3D effects, as we are painting the park’s walls with specific paints,”

A total of 10 animals will be painted on the walls. They include an elephant, gorilla, dinosaur, zebra, giraffe, and others.

The Basharat Park in Lines Area is located opposite of the parking plaza in Saddar. Anvar said the idea of setting up a 3D park is unique and this park will be the first of its kind in Karachi.

 30% of the park has been completed and it will be finished by the end of the month -Anvar

The park will also have a food court, swings, fancy lights and colorful canopies for families.

A resident of Civil Lives, Mr. Rafiq who is 50 years of age shared that the Lines Area has been abandoned for 30 years, and the park itself has been neglected for a decade.

This is a positive sign for residents belonging to such areas.

The new Certificate in Public Financial Management (Cert PFM) qualification by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is now available for public sector employees and those looking to work in the sector in the future.

The global public sector is changing so it is critical that finance professionals working in the industry can manage it.

Whilst the ACCA Qualification is a perfect fit for a career in the public sector, ACCA has developed the Cert PFM to help support and build strong public financial management in response to this demand from the industry.

Cert PFM is designed to equip people with stronger and more relevant budgeting, financial reporting and financial management skills specifically for the public sector.

Delivering practical and broad-based knowledge of public financial management, the course covers the foundations of public sector finance and ensures public sector employees have a core understanding of what is involved in using essential information for those in public sector careers.

The course is built around the public financial management cycle including:

  • Planning and budgeting
  • Budget execution
  • Accounting and reporting
  • Audit, governance and oversight

Cert PFM includes both an online course and an assessment and it takes approximately 40 hours to complete.
