Yet, a little less than 50% of women in Pakistan diagnosed with this cancer die, even though it is treatable. So breast cancer awareness is critical. Here are some more reasons why that is so.
1. Knowing risks
Knowing what may cause cancer can lead to women observing their lifestyles. If they find the possible causes in their routine, they will try to get tested for it as soon as possible. And with this illness, it is all about the timing. And this is very important since it is the little things that snowball later on. So if there is increased tobacco use in the household or cancer in the family, these women should be aware that there is a possibility of having the illness. Alcohol, genetics, and age are also significant risk factors here.

2. They can self-examine
The fact that women can self-examine themselves first is another reason why they should have the ae awareness. Because even if they are not comfortable going to the doctors, they can have a preliminary self-diagnosis. If they have the right information, they will diagnose themselves the right way. So, for instance, the technicalities in the self-examination suggest that women should check for tender or swollen breasts a few days after their periods. If they find some abnormality, they can then consult a professional.
3. It CAN BE treated
Everything beyond this point is entirely unnecessary to prove our point here. Back in 2009, around 40,000 women died out of 90,000 diagnosed with breast cancer. Mostly when the fatality rate was as low as 2.6% globally, had they just known about the right symptoms – the lumps in the breast, the swelling, a change to the size or shape of the breast – they would have caught it in time.

Now you cannot avoid breast cancer altogether; you cannot prevent it from happening. Yet, if people know about it, they can treat it. Even earlier on, they can avoid the risks that usually lead to cancer as well. All in all, breast cancer awareness is critical and it should be regularized for the whole year and not just one month.

This is exactly what rape culture is and why it’s being fought against in Pakistan. There are a gazillion arguments that can be made against what Sheraz has said, but we’ll hold onto them.
According to Sheraz’s logic, such indecent clothes lead to rape, but the hundreds of little girls and boys and animals who are sexually violated are not wearing any indecent clothes.

Rape happens because vile men can not control themselves. Sexual violence is a commentary on the power dynamic in our society and has been perpetuated by patriarchy. It happens because our company has conditioned men into thinking they are superior, and women are objects that they can use. There are no two ways about it.

The Initial drawback:

The University of Agriculture Peshawar (UAP) is among the top 3 agriculture universities in Pakistan. So if you plan on furthering your career in the field of agriculture, you may want to try your luck with UAP admissions. So here is everything you may want to know to get on to your desired path. The only trick is to stay vigilant.
The weightage for profile
The admission, in general, depends on your SSC and HSSC equivalent. So, for instance, your matriculation and Intermediate or O-levels and A-levels, or any other match. Your SSC and counterparts hold 40% of the weightage, while your HSSC and equivalents hold 60% of the weightage. In case, however, if the HEC has already conducted its aptitude test, the weightage will change to SSC (40% weight), HSSC or equivalent (50% weight), and HEC Aptitude Admission Test (10% weight).

Whosoever wants to get admission to UAP; they can get the prospectus from the Directorate of Teaching. The admission processing fee is PKR 1,000. You will submit that in the form of the Bank challan.

Candidates applying to multiple fields need to submit a separate form for every program and additional PKR500 for each application. One more thing a candidate should note is that if s(he) wants to change his field, they should do it before the classes commence. This way, the university can go through analyzing the eligibility criteria, the merit form, and the available seats according to the department.

Determining the profile
The university shall deduct ten marks from SSC results for all candidates who took gap years after SSC or HSSC. And they will add 20 characters for Hafiz e Quran applicants. However, the candidate will have to give a test to prove their hafiz e Quran status. More importantly, if two candidates fall on the same level on merit, the one senior in age will get the preference. If they also have the same period, the university will look at their SSC marks.
In the end, the university will put up the merit list on the University website and its main Notice Board. This provisional admission will be finalized upon the verification of documents submitted by the candidates.

If this notion is rampant that only women will raise their children, then, by default, we should ensure the according to the workplace environment.

A 7-year-old boy, Ameer Ali, used to sell miswak at a petrol pump in Sheikhupura housing colony. At this tender age, he was used to the hustle and bustle of cars passing by, the sweltering heat from which there was no shade and the apathy of people. His life changed when he met Khurram Shahzad.
Shahzad gave him a new life by enrolling him in a school, getting him a uniform and new books. His belief is that poverty is a curse and on his own, this boy might grow up on the streets without any education. He felt it was his duty to help Ameer Ali to the best of his ability and so, he did.

A man was caught in the University Of Peshawar on the charges of harassment. The orders were placed when a video of him inappropriately touching himself went viral. He was seen doing that in front of the girls. Harassed girls took it to social media, and people started openly bashing the university for allowing the man to roam on the campus freely.
Details about the incident
Coming under fire, the university had to take immediate action against the man in the video. According to ARY News, the campus police took him into custody. When the incident was investigated in a little detail, a witness came forward on social media. According to that person, the accused first tried to touch the girls. But no one took any action for some time, and the perpetrator continued to roam around the PUTA hall at the university.
Law enforcement also got active, possibly due to the recent motorway incident, considering the entire country woke up speaking about it. They had to be more vigilant if they wanted to avoid that kind of spotlight. And so Peshawer police arrested the accused Inam on Tuesday morning.

It was just last month when the Senate approved the bill regarding harassment at the educational institutes. It was called the ‘Protection against Harassment of Students in Educational Institutions Bill, 2020′ and was presented by Senator Javed Abbasi. The bill regularized the students’ right to feel safe and secure at their educational institutes.
Now, as women, these cases are not new but always traumatizing. We have, at some point in our lives, seen men jerking off in public, in traffic jams, on roadsides as they stared at us. We would get so scared that we couldn’t even utter a word. Because if someone has the guts to harass us this way in the open public, he could do anything, right? And hence, we would stay quiet.

The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) was initially known for being a veterinary college. So if you are interested in agriculture, which, as you know, does not only include yielding crops, UVAS is your go-to. So if you are thinking about it, we have gathered all the information you will need for UVAS admissions.
Minimum eligibility
So if you are an aspiring candidate, first make sure that your FSc marks should be 60% or above and that too excluding Hafiz-e-Quran characters. In case you did some other degree, then its equivalence should be around this percentage. And overall weightage for FSC part I, when they analyze your profile, will be 70%. The other 30% will be for the matriculation result. The aggregate of this should also be above 60% when you go for admissions.
That said, Hafiz e Quran applicants whose marks excluding that were added, s(he) will get 20 characters added to their profile. But they will only be added after the university has conducted a test to prove his hafiz-e-Quran status. One other thing, the bachelors’ applicants should not be above the age of 23.

After that, you will have to upload your identification document (CNIC/B-form) and your educational records. Be careful while filling out the entire form but especially when choosing the discipline because you cannot change the order of preference again. Admitted students list will be uploaded on the website (www.uvas.edu.pk). You will have to check the website yourself. The university won’t update you about your admission status.
Once you are among the successful candidates, submit the hard copy of the admission format and the paid bank challan to the admission committee. The address is as follows:

The admission will be canceled if there is any false information on the form or portal. The entry will also stand revoked if the candidate fails to pay his/her dues. Some of my favorite memories growing up is going on field trips. I remember how eager I was and used to wait for a class trip to the planetarium, local factories, and of course, the zoo.

A video of a bear in Karachi Zoo may have just proved their point of why a zoo may be a prison and punishment for animals.
The viral clip shows a dehydrated brown bear who can be seen panting. It is also visible that the condition of the bear is not right and that it requires medical attention.
Moreover, just by looking at it surrounding our hearts go out to the fellow, we see nothing but stone and scrap. There’s no water source, no greenery, no artificial environment to help the animal feel at home, and most importantly, negligence is apparent.
