These short ads are directed in a way where Fawad is in awe of the featured product turning the overall situation into a hilarious note.

In the hotpot ad, the actor is seen breaking into a house. The intense action sequence then quickly turns into a hilarious skit where the actor is sharing his views about missing an important family dinner if ends up working late on shoots. He then moves on to eating food served in Rahber’s hotpot and once again this ad showed that when it comes to commercials writers do not need long storylines or dance numbers to make the product eye-catching.

The first Ad in the Fawad Khan trilogy for Rahber’s commercial caught the eyes of netizens massively. The actor’s hilarious attempt to film an action sequence only to get distracted by chilled water thrown at him was the theme for the commercial. HEC Notifies Students On Universities’ NOC Requirements

For those of you who do not know the Higher Education Commission grants a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to foreign national students for educational purposes in order to complete the formal requirements of admission and visa processing under the intimation to the Ministry of Interior. And now there has been a few updates on this. On Tuesday, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) released a notification urging students to verify the university’s possession of a valid no-objection certificate (NOC) for specific programs prior to enrolling.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has recently published a notification regarding the no-objection certificates (NOCs) required for various programs. These programs include MPhil, MS, equivalent degrees, and Ph.D. The HEC has also issued a list of universities that have been granted NOCs.

But as of right now, Pakistan is going through probably the worst economic recession ever. With inflation the highest it’s ever been, and political turmoil the most chaotic it’s ever been, Pakistan is unfortunately at the brink of default.

The Auto Industry

The automotive industry of Pakistan has been led into crisis because of these same reasons. Government policies and economic factors have now forced thousands of layoffs as vehicle sales have declined. The ban on raw material imports, drastic currency depreciation, and surging inflation have led to widespread job cuts in the sector. Last year, Pakistan implemented restrictions on the importation of raw materials as a measure to prevent the outflow of US currency. This action resulted in a significant decline in industrial output and led to these layoffs.

As the scarcity of US dollars worsens in the country, commercial banks have also ceased issuing letters of credit (LCs), leaving importers unsure about how to secure the necessary funds for their existing orders leaving the automobile industry in a shaky position.

Inflation

In April, inflation skyrocketed to over 36%, reaching its highest level in the country since 1964. Munir Karim Bana, chairman of the Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers (PAAPAM), informed that they had recently laid off thousands of workers due to the virtual halt in their production. He stated, “Auto manufacturers have closed down their plants, leaving us with no buyers.”

According to Bana, auto parts manufacturers were burdened with demurrage charges, which are fees payable to the owner of a chartered ship for failing to load or unload within the agreed timeframe. This occurred because billions of rupees’ worth of raw materials were stuck at the Karachi port. PAAPAM is also responsible for supplying approximately 90% of the local vehicle parts used in the auto industry.

Bana expressed frustration, saying, “We are paying interest on our loans from the banks, our materials are losing value, but no one is willing to address our concern and the closure of production units resulted in diminishing income streams, further exacerbating the situation”.

Supply and Demand Chain

The automobile industry has also been facing this problem because of nationwide inflation and redundancy. People have been laid off in almost all sectors of Pakistan which has led to extreme levels of unemployment and poverty due to which people have not been able to buy cars in the first place and since they can’t afford to buy a new car they do not sell their old one if they have one. So it’s okay if you now send the wrong text to someone that it should’ve been sent to.

This message editing feature has been long requested by WhatsApp users because let’s be honest we’ve all sent the wrong texts to someone else. So addressing the importance of error correction and message editing, the company recently announced the launch of this feature in a blog post. Over the upcoming weeks, this update will be gradually launched to WhatsApp users across the globe.

The Update

Once this text editing feature becomes available, users will have the power to edit their messages within a convenient 15-minute timeframe after they have sent their text. By simply long-pressing the message and selecting the “edit” option from the drop-down menu, individuals can now make necessary modifications. However, for your information, the edited message will be marked as edited, ensuring transparency, while the edit history itself remains discreetly undisclosed. This means that the other person will know that you have edited the text.

Moreover, once the 15-minute window is over, you will not be able to edit the text any longer. And if you still haven’t been able to make the necessary modifications, you will eventually have to delete the message and resend another one, a revised version.

“We hope that with this approach we can make psychological assessment and care available to a larger population that may not currently have access,” says Micol Zweig, co-author of the article and associate director of clinical research at the Hasso Plattner Institute for Digital Health at Mount Sinai. “We also intend to evaluate this technique in other patient populations to further refine the algorithm and improve its applicability.”
