Aamir Liaquat’s Official Facebook Page Deleted!

aamir liaquat

Rising to fame with his show ‘Aalim Online’, Aamir Liaquat became the“ratings king” in the country and hence, the king of controversies!

With an established fan base of hundreds of thousands of followers, everything the televangelist does becomes the talk of the town.

And once again he has landed himself in hot water!

It appears that the recent controversy that broke out, has not just violated the regulations of PEMRA but also has hurt the sentiments of his fans.

The incident took place on the sets of his Ramadan transmission on BOL TV, in which he got into a heated religious debate with the scholars on his show.

Fahad Mustafa & Aamir Liaquat Land Themselves in Hot Water!

This time, it seems that the scholar may have gone too far!

Viewers expressed their outrage over the harsh words spoken by the host and went on to social media to rant about it. Eventually, the whole episode caught the attention of not just PEMRA but the officials of a social media network as well.

In a press release, the media-watch served a 30-day ban on Aamir Liaquat, barring him to appear on any TV channel in Pakistan.

However, this was just the beginning of the troubles for the scholar!

Viewers, outraged over the statements by Aamir Liaquat, reported on his official page on Facebook in which he had over 2 million followers. This led to Facebook permanently deleting his page on the giant platform.

However, his Twitter page is still up and running, with Liaquat continuing to defend his stance.

Old Habits Die Hard

This is not the first time that Aamir Liaquat had to face troubled waters. Known for being one of the boldest hosts on televisions, let’s take a look at all the times he landed himself in the danger zone.

Profane language

In a video leaked in 2011, Aamir was spotted using strong language, making fun of his religious guests and singing indecent songs while talking about various movies.

Showing an entirely different side to the respected scholar, the video sparked a great controversy over his stance on being a religious personality. However, Aamir later claimed that the video was dubbed and was a ploy against him to malign his name.

Free Babies

In 2013, Aamir Liaquat, in his Geo show ‘Aalim Online’ gave away babies for ‘free’ on a live television show.

The babies, rescued by local NGOs, were “handed out” by the host as a Ramadan gift to childless couples.

Apart from the act itself, that there was no proper investigation that took place or any proper paperwork to support this.

Acting Out A Suicide

In yet another incident dated back to 2016, Aamir Liaquat once again found himself in hot water after he was seen encouraging the act of suicide on the show.

PEMRA immediately took note and stated that airing such content is a violation of rules set by the media watchdog.

And The Shenanigans Of Aamir Liaquat Hussain Continues!

Going by the history of the televangelist, one waits with bated breath to see which controversy the scholar will land himself in next.

Migrant ‘Spiderman’ who Saved Child Praised by France’s President, Offered Citizenship

A Malian migrant who scaled a Paris apartment block to save a four-year-old child was hailed Monday as an “example” by President Emmanuel Macron, who welcomed him to the presidential palace and offered him citizenship.

Two days after his daring rescue — viewed millions of times online — Mamoudou Gassama, nicknamed “Spiderman” by French media for his astonishing climbing ability, met Macron in the splendour of the Elysee Palace.

“You have become an example because millions of people have seen you. It is only right that the nation be grateful,” Macron told the 22-year-old, adding that his immigration status would be “put in order”.

The Guardian

However several aid groups accused the president of “political exploitation”, “hypocrisy” and covering up a harsh policy towards migrants.

Macron, who presented him with a medal for bravery, also offered him a job with the fire service.

“I did not think twice. I went straight up,” said the sporty youth, who wore jeans and a short-sleeved shirt to the encounter, explaining his climb.

Gassama was also congratulated by Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, who phoned him at the Paris embassy to congratulate him “for honouring all of Mali,” the embassy said.

His act of heroism comes as lawmakers debate a controversial bill that would speed up the deportation of economic migrants and failed asylum-seekers, thousands of whom live in squalid camps in the capital.

“There’s a general feeling of shameful political exploitation,” said Jean-Claude Mas, secretary general of La Cimade, which defends migrants.

“It raises a lot of questions when you know what this government is doing.”

“There’s a bit of hypocrisy or cynicism,” added Claire Rodier of GISTI which supports immigrants, noting “the contrast with the repressive policy of this government against migrants and those without documents.”

Gassama has been living illegally in France and working in construction since arriving in September last year following a perilous journey from his homeland to Libya then Italy.

Macron, a centrist, has taken a tough line on economic migrants fleeing poverty rather than refugees escaping war or persecution.

But Gassama’s “exceptional act of heroism” warranted an “exceptional decision”, he said Monday.

He leaped into action Saturday evening on seeing the child dangling from the fourth-story balcony of an apartment in the 18th district.

The video shows Gassama swiftly pulling himself up from balcony to balcony to reach the boy, to the cheers of onlookers.

Firefighters arrived at the scene to find the child, whose parents were not at home, had already been rescued.

A shy figure who was accompanied to the Elysee Palace by his older brother, Gassama said he had acted instinctively.

– ‘Incredibly brave act’ –

“I saved the child and then went inside the building and I was shaking,” he told Macron.

Reacting to his awards he said later: “I’m pleased because it’s the first time I’ve received a trophy like that.”

Gassama’s story instantly drew comparisons with that of another Malian migrant who was feted as a hero and given citizenship for helping save lives during a January 2015 terror attack.

Lassana Bathily helped hide hostages in the freezer during a jihadist attack on a Jewish supermarket in Paris, in which four people were killed.

Confirming to Gassama his French citizenship, Macron said: “Even if you did not think about what you were doing it was an act of courage and strength that won the admiration of all.”

But in a warning to other African migrants he said he “can not give (papers) to all those who come from Mali or Burkina Faso” — two of the countries from where thousands set out each year for Europe on a perilous journey across the desert and Mediterranean Sea.

Across the political class Gassama received plaudits.

But a senior member of the anti-immigration National Front, Nicolas Bay, said that while he supported Gassama becoming French all other illegal migrants should be deported.

– Dreams of a better life –

Passers-by raised the alarm Saturday on noticing the little boy hanging in mid-air.

“Luckily, there was someone who was physically fit and who had the courage to go and get the child,” a fire service spokesman said.

The boy’s father, who was reportedly out shopping, was arrested for leaving him unattended. His mother was abroad.

The Socialist mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, was among the politicians lining up to phone Gassama to thank him.

“He explained to me that he had arrived from Mali a few months ago dreaming of building his life here,” she said.

On Monday, he was made an honorary citizen of the eastern suburb of Montreuil, where he had been sleeping on the floor in a cramped room shared with relatives at a migrant hostel.

The fire department said it looked forward to him joining the ranks.

“We are ready to welcome him on board!” it said

Samsung Unveils Why Galaxy Note 7 Was ‘The Bomb’

The exterior phone glass which protects the camera is cracking for absolutely no reason! Although this often happens when an individual accidentally drops their phone, many iPhone X owners claimed they’ve never once dropped the device.

The individuals took it to Apple’s support forum ( 1234) and Reddit ( 123) to express their concern.

As noted in a users comment;

“I read some people have this issue in cold climate, I live in Malaysia and weather is hot and humid around 32-36 Celsius daily.. andwe don’t have apple store in Malaysia here, so can not count on authorized centers, but refuse for repair.”

While another read;

“It (sapphire crystal) transmits less light which…means either dimmer devices or shorter battery life. It continues to break. I think while it’s a scratch resistant product it still breaks and our testing says that Gorilla Glass [can take] about 2.5 times more pressure that [sapphire] can take…”

Pakistan Fined for Slow Over-Rate in Lord’s Test

Pakistan has been fined for maintaining a slow over-rate in the Lord’s Test against England, which the visitors won by nine wickets on Sunday to go one-up in the two-Test series. Jeff Crowe of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees imposed the fine after Sarfraz Ahmed’s side was ruled to be three overs short of their target when time allowances* were taken into consideration**.

In accordance with Article 2.5.1 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Players Support Personnel, which relates to minor over-rate offences, players are fined 10 percent of their match fees for every over their side fails to bowl in the allotted time, with the captain fined double that amount.

As such, Sarfraz has been fined 60 percent of his match fee, while his players have received 30 percent fines. If Pakistan commit another minor over-rate breach in a Test within 12 months of this offence with Sarfraz as captain, it will be deemed a second offence by Sarfraz and he will face a suspension.

Sarfraz pleaded guilty to the offence and accepted the proposed sanction, so there was no need for a formal hearing.

The charge was levelled by on-field umpires Paul Reiffel and Rod Tucker, third umpire Bruce Oxenford and fourth umpire Rob Bailey.

5 Things we Learned from the Indian Premier League

Five things we learned from the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League Twenty20 tournament, after Chennai Super Kings beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in Sunday’s final:

– Big buys don’t guarantee success –

There were cheers from the Rajasthan Royals when they snared England’s Ben Stokes in January’s IPL auction, but their joy was short-lived. The star all-rounder cost the Royals $1.96 million, but produced just 196 runs and eight wickets in 12 matches.

The big-spending Royals also picked up fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat for $1.8, but in return got 11 wickets at an economy rate of 9.37. Meanwhile, West Indies batsman Chris Gayle was claimed by Kings XI Punjab at the reserve price of $314,000, but the big-hitter smashed 455 runs including three fifties and a century in 11 games.

– Foreign captain stands out –

New Zealand’s Kane Williamson was the only foreigner to lead an IPL side this season after Australians Steve Smith and David Warner were barred following a ball-tampering scandal. Williamson, a late captaincy replacement for Warner, led Sunrisers Hyderabad from the front with his 735 runs in 17 matches.

His ability to use star players like Afghan teen sensation Rashid Khan at opportune moments won him praise. Former Kiwi all-rounder Scott Styris said Williamson leads by example rather than words. “He is lead-from-the-front sort of captain and the players gain respect from him because when he speaks usually what he says is on the money,” Styris, now a TV commentator, told AFP.

– Khan leads teen brigade –

Rashid Khan achieved superhero status this IPL season. The 19-year-old bamboozled some of the world’s top batsmen with his leg-spin, and even greats like Virat Kohli and Dhoni were undone by his well-disguised googlies. Picking up 21 wickets in 17 games, the Khan was key to Hyderabad’s run to the final.

Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar called him the “best spinner in the world” in the shortest format. Fellow Afghan spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Nepal’s cricket sensation Sandeep Lamichhane, both 17, were also impact players for their teams. While the Rahman took 14 wickets for Kings XI Punjab, Lamichhane ended with five scalps in the three outings he had with bottom-ranked Delhi Daredevils.

– New-look IPL –

Rupert Mudroch’s Star India repackaged the glitzy IPL after striking a $2.55 billion deal with the Indian cricket board ahead of season 11. From television commentary in six languages, to tailor-made feeds to different regions and 120 commentators on board, the cricket-crazy nation sampled a different style of sports broadcasting.

While Sony, official broadcasters of IPL in its first decade, accused Star of fudging the viewership figures which they claimed were higher during their feeds, many hailed Star Sports’ approach. “Star has actually got into regions, has got the languages right and also got some Star power.

And now we have got the analytics. No one has done it like us,” former Australia batsman Dean Jones, a commentator with Star Sports, told AFP.

– Move abroad next year? –

The world’s most popular franchise-based T20 league once again saw sell-out crowds across Indian venues but there is buzz the league might move to foreign shores in the next edition. With India’s general elections slated in 2019, reports suggest that IPL-12 will be played in Dubai.

This is not a new phenomenon: the league was organised in South Africa in 2009 while UAE played hosts to one-third of IPL matches in 2014 — both being election years. “If it clashes with those dates (of the elections) then we will not get security. Then for that period we will have to move it out overseas,” IPL chairman Rajeev Shukla told AFP.

Karachi to Witness Worse Heatwave than Last Week!

While Karachiites have still not got over last week’s deadly heatwave, Pakistan Metrological Department (PMD) has issued a warning for a bumper week of scorching weather.

The weekend witnessed the temperature going down to 39-degree Celsius under the influence of high-velocity winds from the westerly direction.

Pakistan & China Sign 20 Billion Yuan Currency Swap Deal

However, according to PMD, the mercury is all set to rise again to at least 43-degree Celsius for the next 3 days.

Director Karachi Met Office Abdur Rashid reported to The News:

“We were not expecting back-to-back heatwaves gripping Karachi in quick succession. Unfortunately, Karachi is going to be gripped by another heatwave possibly from next Tuesday next”

However, according to an update by Weather Updates PK, the upcoming heatwave will be of high intensity, with soaring temperatures up to 47 degree Celsius.

Seems like the climate is about to get even worse than expected!

With the weather showing no signs of imminent rain, this would be the fourth heatwave that Karachi will be witnessing this year.

Last week alone, as many as 65 people lost their lives due to heatstroke in the city, reported Dawn News.

Precautions During Heat Wave

The hot and dry spell over the next couple of days means that extra precautions are a must. Following are some precautions that one must observe to stay cool during the heat wave.

  • Stay hydrated and drink as much water as you can
  • Avoid going outdoors unnecessarily
  • Keep your house cool and ventilated
  • Avoid eating hot, oily and heavy food

Apart from that, it is suggested to water outside in shade for birds and animals as they too suffer from extreme heat.

Mohamed Salah ‘Confident’ for World Cup Despite Shoulder Injury

Egypt’s Mohamed Salah is “confident” of being fit for the World Cup despite suffering a shoulder injury in Liverpool’s Champions League final defeat against Real Madrid.

Salah was forced off in tears during the first half of the 3-1 loss in Kiev on Saturday, sparking fears he wouldn’t make it to next month’s World Cup.

The 25-year-old sustained the problem when he was dragged awkwardly to the turf following a challenge with Sergio Ramos, leading some to claim the Madrid defender had deliberately tried to injure Liverpool’s star forward.

Speaking after the final, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had described the injury as “serious” amid fears Salah had suffered a dislocated shoulder.

That would have ruled him out of Egypt’s first appearance in the World Cup since 1990.

Salah was pictured with his shoulder in a sling when he got off Liverpool’s plane at John Lennon Airport on Sunday.

But it now appears there is a good chance Salah will be able to join his country for the tournament in Russia.

“It was a very tough night, but I’m a fighter. Despite the odds, I’m confident that I’ll be in Russia to make you all proud,” Salah wrote on his official Twitter account on Sunday.

“Your love and support will give me the strength I need.”

Egypt’s team doctor Mohamed Abou El-Ela said in a statement that, according to information from Liverpool’s medical staff, Salah has sustained only ligament damage.

And, just as Salah tweeted his fitness update, fresh reports in Egypt claimed he had only suffered a strain in the shoulder ligaments and is expected to be back in action in three weeks.

– Unbelievable season –

Salah’s injury played a major role in Liverpool’s failure to win a sixth European Cup.

Ramos apologized after the match, but Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson hinted the Madrid captain knew what he was doing when he collided with the Egyptian.

“I think it is just how he (Salah) has landed but Ramos is quite clever, isn’t he?” Robertson said.

“It’s unfortunate. It just disrupted our rhythm a wee bit.”

Salah had been instrumental in Liverpool’s unexpected run to their Champions League final since 2007.

In an incredible first season with the Premier League club following his transfer from Roma last year, Salah broke a host of record as he scored 44 goals in all competitions.

He was voted Liverpool’s Players of the Year and also scooped the PFA and Football Writers’ Player of the Year awards.

Salah had also scored the goal that took Egypt to the World Cup when he netted a dramatic late penalty in a qualifier against Congo in October.

“He has done unbelievably this season and for it to end that way for him was devastating,” Robertson added.

“I hope he goes to the World Cup because a nation is relying on him.

“Hopefully he’ll come back bigger and stronger.”

Egypt’s opening World Cup group stage match is against Uruguay on June 15.

The Pharaohs will then play against Russia and Saudi Arabia on June 19 and June 25.

Before that, Egypt will play friendlies, almost certainly without Salah, against Belgium and Colombia on June 1 and June 6.

Sarfraz Surprised but Proud as Pakistan Hammers England

Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed said he felt both surprised and proud after his inexperienced side outplayed England during a dominant nine-wicket win in the first Test at Lord’s.

Victory, completed before lunch on the fourth day, put Pakistan 1-0 up in a two-match series ahead of the second Test at Headingley that starts on Friday.

Pakistan’s batsmen and bowlers applied themselves to the demands of playing an early season Test in English conditions far more effectively than the home side.

They caught better too, with England dropping several chances.

Man-of-the-match Mohammad Abbas led Pakistan’s attack with an overall return of eight for 64, while four Pakistan batsmen hit the fifties in a competitive first-innings 363.

“Yes, I am very surprised,” said Sarfraz.

“If you look at the England team they are very experienced but I am proud of my players.”

Wicket-keeper Sarfraz led from the front in the field, holding an excellent diving catch to dismiss Dawid Malan on Saturday.

It was one example of the team’s much sharper performance after their shoddy display during this month’s five-wicket win over Test debutants Ireland in Dublin, with Sarfraz saying it was a “credit” to the work of Pakistan fielding coach Steve Rixon, the former Australia wicket-keeper.

“Ireland gave us a tough time and that helped us prepare for this Test,” Sarfraz added.

“We thought that even if we lose we should learn.”

As for Pakistan’s batting, Sarfraz said: “The ball was moving, so no credit is enough for the batsmen.”

– ‘Shout and scream’ –

Meanwhile, the modest Sarfraz, who led Pakistan to a brilliant victory over arch-rivals India in last year’s Champions Trophy one-day final across London at The Oval, played down his captaincy skills.

“I don’t have anything for self-analysis,” he said. “I shout and scream at my players — everything is right in front of you.”

Sarfraz instead praised coach Mickey Arthur, who took charge two years ago and promptly guided Pakistan to a 2-2 draw in a four-Test series in England, for “taking the players along with him” — something he had also tried to do as skipper.

Mohammad Amir has had both some of his best and worst days at Lord’s, getting on the honors board in 2010 in a Test where he was involved in a spot-fixing scandal that saw the Pakistan paceman jailed and banned from cricket for five years.

He returned to help beat England at Lord’s two years ago and was involved again in this win, Pakistan’s fifth Test-match victory at the ‘home of cricket’.

The responsibility of being the senior bowler appeared to weigh heavily on the 26-year-old, however.

But after just one wicket in England’s first innings, the left-armer took four for 36 in the second.

“There was pressure on him,” said Sarfraz.

“But we had that belief that he will come good. Inzi (Pakistan selection chief and former Test batsman Inzamam-ul-Haq) talked to him one-on-one and then Mickey talked to him, I spoke to him.

“The way he responded was great.

“He changed his length, he pitched up, which is key to getting wickets in England.”

Pakistan Announces General Elections on July 25

pak-elections

Pakistan will hold general elections on July 25, a presidential spokesman said Saturday, offering the prospect of what would be only the second ever democratic transfer of power in the nuclear-armed country.

Pakistan will hold general elections on July 25, a presidential spokesman said Saturday, offering the prospect of what would be only the second ever democratic transfer of power in the nuclear-armed country.

“The president has approved July 25 as the date for holding general elections in the country,” a spokesman from Mamnoon Hussain’s office told AFP.

The announcement comes as the current government enters its final week in office. It is expected to hand over power to a caretaker administration in the coming days.

Turmoil continues to rock the country after former prime minister Nawaz Sharif was ousted by the Supreme Court last July on corruption charges and later barred from politics for life.

Sharif was the 15th prime minister in Pakistan’s seven-decade history — roughly half of it under military rule — to be removed before completing a full term.

After Sharif was ousted from power, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi of Sharif’s Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz party (PML-N) took over the premiership.

Pakistan completed its first ever democratic transfer of power following elections in 2013, when the government headed by the Pakistan People’s Party handed over to the PML-N, following a landslide victory.

“This is the second consecutive parliament to complete its tenure and we are now looking forward to go to the people to get their verdict on our performance,” Finance Minister Miftah Ismail told AFP.

– Increasing pressure –

The general elections are expected to pit the PML-N against its main rival, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party led by former cricket star Imran Khan.

PTI is vowing to clean up the country’s rampant corruption while investing in education and healthcare as Khan inches closer to his years-long dream of leading the country as prime minister.

With Sharif out, the PML-N continue to boast of their investment in the country’s rickety infrastructure and courting billions of dollars in Chinese investment.

Since he was ousted, Sharif and the PML-N have become increasingly vocal in their confrontation with the country’s military establishment and courts, claiming they are victims of a conspiracy to reduce the power of their party.

Despite the numerous court rulings against the PML-N, the party has won a string of recent by-elections proving it will likely remain a powerful force.

The PML-N continues to enjoy large swathes of support in the country’s most populous Punjab province but will enter the election under increasing pressure.

In April, a Pakistan court disqualified Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif for violating the country’s election laws, while interior minister Ahsan Iqbal was shot in the arm in a suspected assassination attempt in early May by an Islamist gunman.

Sharif also sparked a firestorm earlier this month after suggesting Pakistani militants were behind the 2008 Mumbai attacks, approaching what is seen as a red line in the country by touching on criticism of Pakistan’s armed forces.

There have been increasing fears that media outlets are under heavy pressure from the security establishment heading into the elections, spurring accusations of self-censorship by Pakistan’s leading television news broadcasters.

Qatar Bans Saudi, UAE Goods From Stores

Qatar has ordered shops to remove goods originating from a group of Saudi Arabian-led countries which a year ago imposed a wide-ranging boycott on the emirate, Doha officials said Saturday.

Qatar has ordered shops to remove goods originating from a group of Saudi Arabian-led countries which a year ago imposed a wide-ranging boycott on the emirate, Doha officials said Saturday.

A directive from the economy ministry ordered shops to immediately strip shelves of products from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt.

Inspectors will visit stores to ensure they comply with the order, the ministry said.

The government will also try and stop products such as Saudi dairy goods from entering Qatar via a third country.

Qatar’s Government Communications Office (GCO) said it was trying to “protect the safety of consumers”.

“Products originating from blockading states, which as a result of the blockade cannot pass the GCC customs territory, has to undergo proper import inspections and customs procedures,” the GCO said in a statement.

“Qatar conducts its trade policy in accordance with all of its multilateral and bilateral agreements.”

The order comes just days before the anniversary of a bitter Gulf crisis.

Since June 5 last year, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt have cut all relations with Qatar, accusing it of financing terrorist groups and having close ties with Iran.

The countries subsequently imposed a trade and diplomatic boycott on Qatar, which rejects the charges and says the countries are seeking regime change in Doha.

The row has forced isolated Qatar, which previously relied on its Gulf neighbours, to look elsewhere for food imports, including Turkey, Morocco and Iran.

Many such imports enter the country via ports such as Kuwait and Oman.

It is through these ports, and also via individuals, that goods from the boycotting countries manage to get in to Qatar, said a source with knowledge of the situation.

“Businessmen from the blockading countries are trying to go around the blockade… by using third parties,” said the source.

Bale Breaks Liverpool Hearts as Real Madrid Win Champions League

Gareth Bale came off the bench to score twice, including one of the all-time great goals in a Champions League final, as Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1 in Kiev on Saturday to take the trophy for the third year running.

Gareth Bale came off the bench to score twice, including one of the all-time great goals in a Champions League final, as Real Madrid beat Liverpool 3-1 in Kiev on Saturday to take the trophy for the third year running.

Bale’s jaw-dropping overhead kick in the 64th minute put Real 2-1 up moments after his introduction, following a dramatic start to the second half in which Karim Benzema gave Real the lead as a result of a Loris Karius howler.

Sadio Mane had briefly restored parity, but Bale put Real in front again and then sealed the triumph late on with a long-range strike that the unfortunate Karius could only punch into the net.

Jurgen Klopp’s and Liverpool’s own evening was marred by the loss of a distraught Mohamed Salah to injury in the first half, the Egyptian coming off half an hour in having damaged his shoulder.

This was not to be Salah’s night, with Real allowing Zinedine Zidane to become the first coach ever to win the Champions League three years in a row.

“With a team like this we can go far, but to win three of them, it’s something crazy,” Zidane said.

Madrid are the first team to achieve that feat since Bayern Munich in 1976. This is their fourth title in five years, and their 13th overall.

Cristiano Ronaldo has now won five in his great career, although he later cast a cloud over the night by hinting that he could soon leave the club, saying: “It was very nice to be at Real Madrid.”

However, it was Bale’s evening, and when asked if it was the best goal he had ever scored, he said: “I’d have to say it is, on the biggest stage in world football to score a goal like that is a dream come true.”

But Bale has not been a regular in the Real team this season and he admitted he will now consider his future in the weeks ahead.

“I feel I should be playing every week and if that’s not the case here it’s something I need to consider. We will sit down in the summer and try to resolve things.”

The Welshman had been tipped to feature in the starting line-up but was left out for Isco — just as he had been in the final against Juventus last year — before making an emphatic impact as a substitute.

– Salah’s tears –

For Liverpool, the game will be remembered for the disaster that befell goalkeeper Karius in the second half, and for Salah’s tears as he departed the pitch at the NSC Olympiyskyi.

The Egyptian hurt his left shoulder as he went down in a challenge with Sergio Ramos in the 25th minute.

Five minutes later he made way for Adam Lallana, and his presence at the World Cup is now in doubt.

“We wanted everything and got nothing. We lost an important player and probably Egypt lost for the World Cup an important player,” Klopp said.

Salah’s injury, and that which forced Real’s Dani Carvajal off before the break, temporarily took the sting out of the game after an enthralling start, with Liverpool on top.

After Salah departed, Real sensed their chance. They even had the ball in the net in the 43rd minute, only to be denied by a marginal offside call.

Ronaldo’s header from Isco’s cross was parried by Karius, and Benzema turned in the loose ball, but the flag cut short his celebrations.

If that was a let-off for Liverpool, they were their own worst enemies at the start of the second half.

– Careless Karius –

Isco struck the bar after Lallana diverted the ball into his path, before Benzema opened the scoring in the 51st minute.

It was a moment of unbelievable carelessness from Karius, who attempted to roll the ball out to the nearest red shirt only for Benzema to stick out a leg and send it trickling into the net.

Klopp’s side really could have let their heads drop, and yet they were soon back level, Mane turning the ball in after Dejan Lovren headed down James Milner’s corner.

But their renewed hope was crushed upon the introduction of Bale.

The Welshman had been on the field barely two minutes when he met Marcelo’s cross from the left with an improbable leap, back to goal, 15 yards out, to send an overhead kick on his left foot arcing over Karius and in.

Such a strike deserved to be the winner, although it was his long-range shot that beat the embarrassed Karius in the 83rd minute that made sure of the victory.

Mane hit the post for Liverpool in between Bale’s strikes, but they will have to wait a while yet before winning their sixth European Cup.

The most powerful feature of the campaign is none other than its message ‘Home is where the heart is’. The brand has communicated a strong connection with Pakistani roots, communicating that if Sufi is present in a household away from the country, you will still get the feeling of home.

Narrating the tale of a newly-wed Pakistani couple beginning their new life in Turkey, the commercial shares adorable moments between them as they celebrate love in a faraway land.

As they embark on creating a world of their own in a foreign country, the pair can’t help  being homesick and missing their loved ones at home.

However, the TVC takes an endearing turn as the husband walks the extra mile to unite his wife with her parents.

The soulful tune ‘Bismillah’ as the background score adds to the beauty of the TVC, its deep words tugging at our heartstrings.

The brand has beautifully evoked a flood of feelings and imparted positive messages by highlighting the importance of family bonding.

What’s more, the brand left no stone unturned to communicate how we should do more efforts for our loved ones in Ramadan. Nothing will earn us more blessing in this holy month than showing magnanimity towards those we really care for!

Without trying too hard to sell the product itself, Sufi used just- the- right ingredients of spirituality and love, making it a spectacular campaign and earning the brand loyalty of its consumers.
