NCA Admissions

If you are interested in Arts, you must have dreamt about the National College of Arts (NCA). And since its that time of the year where everyone actively thinks about their future study plans, we have compiled everything you might need to know for NCA Admissions.

NCA Admission Aptitude Test

Even though located in Lahore, NCA conducts its aptitude tests in all provinces. This component in the admission process is essential for the candidates applying for the Department of Fine Arts and Faculty of Design. They also need to score high in the drawing. For those opting for architecture, they have to pass a mathematics examination alongside drawing and aptitude tests.

Department of Film and Television, Musicology, and Cultural Studies require their customized aptitude tests. That said, you can only sit for the examination if you have either passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate Examination and that too with at least 45% marks. So anyone below that is, in a word, ineligible.

Previous Education Requirements

Remember this, the admissions happen only once a year, so don’t forget to complete the requirements on time, or your entry will be canceled.

Candidates who have been nominated by foreign countries or other government organizations can, however, confirm the admission on the condition of taking seminar courses and research projects. The most important thing to note is that a candidate should have twelve years of education. Be it F.A. or A-levels; the candidates need to have a bare minimum of 45%. And after that, pass the aptitude as well as the interview.

NCA Admissions Application Form

How to go about it? Apply on the application form available, as mentioned in the advertisement. Usually, you have to go to college and buy the record. If you are from some other city, in that case, you have to send a money order to the principal of NCA. The money order should include the amount for the registered book post. Similarly, international candidates need to send international reply coupons for the prospectus.

You have the application form, and you have filled it; now its time to submit it. For those residing in Lahore or, in fact, anywhere in Punjab, the College office will receive the application. For other provinces, the application will be sent to the respective Director of Technical Education. Secretary Nomination Board/Director Education (colleges) Gilgit, Baltistan will receive the application form of candidates from Northern areas. Aspiring students from AJK will send it to the Secretary Nomination Board/ Director of Technical Education, Muzaffarabad. From there on, NCA will get the applications.

International candidates need to send the form directly to the college. But it is also the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that the college gets the way before the due date.

Documents required for the admission process.

Candidates need to submit attested photocopies of the following documents in their application packet.

  1. Secondary School Certificate (SSC) or its Equivalent Certificate
  2. Higher Secondary/Intermediate or its Equivalent Certificate
  3. A certificate with Marks obtained.
  4. Documents in support of additional qualifications (If any)
  5. Domicile Certificate
  6. Pages 1 to 5 passport (International Students only)
  7. National identity card
  8. Five attested passport size recent photographs.
  9. Bank draft as applicable
  10. Affidavit of father/guardian income

Once you have secured a place in the NCA Admissions process, you will be required to submit some more documents before the foundation semester. Until then, get through the process with the guidelines as mentioned above.

Hareem Shah & Mufti Qavi’s Leaked Phone Call Is Going Viral!

Hareem Shah meets Mufti Qavi
PC: ibex

Being an influencer comes with its pros as well as its cons. It’s like a coin with two sides. While some influencers are known for their charm and work, others are known for their controversies.

Pakistani TikTok starlet Hareem Shah is one of the most well-known controversial ones. She rose to fame on the dubbing platform and soon found herself in the center of lots of scandals.

The latest is a leaked phone call clip in between Shah and Mufti Qavi. Shah is not the only one with their fair share of controversies; Mufti Qavi, a cleric, also has many.

In the viral video clip, we can hear the cleric telling Shah to he wants to meet her, but he can’t, unfortunately, due to personal reasons. Shah, on the other hand, replies as if she is least interested in meeting him.

However, it is still unaware if Shah and Mufti Qavi met and the motive behind Mufti Qavi’s request to meet her is also unknown.

Here’s the viral clip:

In the clip, we can hear him say:

Shehzadi gh’ussa mat ho, mujhe apni shakal dikhao

Princess Don’t Get Angry, Show me your face.

On the other hand, Shah can be seen and heard arguing with him. We would also like to point out that Hareem Shah is not the only influencer the cleric is linked with. His name came up several times in regards to Qandeel Baloch.

Before Shah acclaimed famed, Baloch was the most controversial influencer in Pakistan. It is rumored that her murder (committed by her brother) was planned by someone as influential and powerful as the Mufti.

Moreover, what we do know for certain is that Shah and the cleric have met at least once (it is not clear if they had met before or after the phone call).

Hareem Shah meets Mufti Qavi
PC; Twitter

I did not call you to listen to your speeches and nonsense. I have to ask you that you claim to be a scholar of Islam. In this age, it is not suitable for you to flirt with girls that are the same age as your daughters. – Hareem Shah to mufti qavi

We can also hear Hareem in the clip telling him that she doesn’t want to listen to his ‘nonsense’ and that he claims to be a very religious scholar but is flirting with girls the same age as his daughters.

After his request to see her face, Shah responds:

I will not show you my face. You have slandered the name of Islam, you are the devil and you are a father of the devil. And I do not see the face of the hypocrites.

But, Shah can also be heard laughing in the viral clip, which questions whether or not what she said to him was all part of an act or if she meant every word.

Previously, Mufti Qavi was seen dancing with a woman of foreign descent. But, he denied it and claimed that the man in the video is not him.

We have now to see what explanation the religious scholar has to give here.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy To Co-Direct Marvel’s First Muslim Superhero

Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy, the famous Pakistani-Canadian journalist, and filmmaker is all set to take yet another significant step towards women empowerment and recognition on the big screen.

About Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy

Sharmeen Obaid is not only a filmmaker or journalist but also an activist who has worked diligently towards highlighting the problems that women have to face in our society. Through her work, be it documentaries, short films, or any other medium, Obaid has shed light on the sufferings of women due to the persistence of structural inequalities in the society that we live in. She has been a proud recipient of seven Emmy Awards and two Academy awards – the only female director who has achieved so much in such less time. Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy also received the Hilal-i-Imtiaz in 2012 by the Government of Pakistan for her outstanding and extraordinary contributions as a filmmaker and director.

Sharmeen has already done a lot to better society, and she’s still on the go! Obaid is absolutely unstoppable.

Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy To Co-Direct Marvel’s First Muslim Superhero

According to recent news, the Oscar winner and Hilal-e-Imtiaz recipient will be co-directing the upcoming Ms. Marvel with other renowned directors such as Adil El Arbi, Meera Menon, and Bilall Fallah. They are very well known for their spectacular work.

Reportedly, the forthcoming Ms. Marvel series will be focused on Kamala Khan, a Muslim-Pakistani residing in New Jersey. Not to forget, Kamala Khan was the first Muslim Marvel character (the creation of Sana Amanat) who appeared in comics in 2013 and became exceptionally significant by 2014. She was given her series that year. Kamala’s character is much celebrated in the world of Marvel comics ever since.

Muslims have hardly ever been represented in a positive light in Hollywood television series or films. In the case of Muslim women, the scenario is much worse. The appearance of Kamala – a teenage Muslim woman of color, in Ms. Marvel as the main character, is a considerable achievement, without any doubt.

Sharmeen Continues Making Us Proud

Sharmeen stands firm in crushing the patriarchal and racist structure that continues to govern the society. We would like to wish Sharmeen all the best for her future endeavors. May Sharmeen’s efforts bear fruit. We sincerely hope that Ms. Marvel becomes a huge success!

Are you excited about Sharmeen Obaid’s new project? Will Ms. Marvel be another hit, adding some more awards to Sharmeen Obaid’s massive awards’ collection? What do you think? Let us know in the comment section below!

Every couple’s favorite, and to be very honest, the most overused cliché, “I can even get you the moon,” is not just a cliché anymore. Sohaib Ahmed, a 23-year-old man from Rawalpindi, has set a new benchmark for all the hopeless romantics.

Sohaib bought one-acre land on the Moon for 45 US dollars via the Lunar Settlement Initiative (LSI), a wedding present for his wife, Madiha. Yes, you read that right. A PIECE OF LAND ON THE MOON! The news filled us with awe too.

Is It Even True?

Well, surprisingly enough, the news is accurate, and owning a property on the Moon is very much practical now.

According to the Lunar Settlement Initiative’s website, “under the terms of the LSI, property claims on Luna may be offered to private entities to finance the exploration, settlement, and development of the Moon and its resources.” It further states that “upon the recognition and certification of land claims, property owners shall be entitled to inhabit and develop their property in any manner, subject to any laws or statutes that may be established by the sovereign and independent government of Luna, which shall be freely elected by its citizens.”

The news is cent percent correct, and the couple has all the documents by the Sea of Vapours Society as proof, including the ‘Registered Claim & Deed for Lunar Property.’ Have a look at it yourself:

10 Things All Pakistanis Do When Making Travel Plans

travel plans

We Pakistanis display unique habits when it comes to traveling. A majority of the population doesn’t even believe in the idea of traveling. Many people have never traveled abroad, and most gape at the thought of taking time off their busy schedules for a vacation every year. Speaking from personal experience, the last vacation I took was four years ago, and that also to attend a conference in another city. Sad as it may seem, I am not alone.

For those of you who do travel frequently, there are certain things that you’re all guilty of. Read along to see how many of these things you have done.

  • The most common trait almost all Pakistanis share is patience. Yes, you read that right. We patiently wait for the last minute to carry out even the most important of tasks. Case in point, according to the hospitality report by Jovago, the majority of travelers (34%) wait until the last day to search for hotels and book them. We might have planned the vacation well in advance, packed, and kept everything ready from before. A hotel we will book at the last possible minute—only 2% book it a week before the actual travel date.

  • It could be the affordability issue, but the majority of domestic travelers (36%) prefer a 3-star hotel. We like to think that the 3-star hotels in Pakistan are that well managed that people want to stay there instead of 5-star ones.

  • When it comes to choosing a hotel, people (27%) make sure the one they are staying has a good wifi connection or a pool—only 8% care to check if they will be provided with food.

  • When the idea of a vacation pops in your mind, you quickly grab your smartphone or tablet to do a fast search. A whopping 61% of people use phones to search, but only 31% book through it. 63% still use computers to finalize the purchase. It’s almost like people still feel all-important work must be conducted through computers instead of phones.

  • With Pakistanis so suspicious of technology, very few (3.5%) prefer paying for hotels online. All the rest just pay physically.

  • According to stats, 80% of the women just plan the holiday. They ask the men in the family to make the booking. Only 20% of women take charge and do it themselves.

  • If you find yourself traveling domestically quite often, chances are it’s your job that demands it. In Pakistan, people travel more for business than leisure.

  • Lahore is the most frequently visited city for business, followed by Karachi. From the stats, it appears that these two cities are where all the action takes place!

  • For tourists, the most frequently visited cities include Naran, Kaghan, Murree, and Nathiagali. No surprises there. The northern areas of Pakistan are breathtakingly beautiful.

  • For most people, traveling means domestic. When they plan a holiday, they usually have something within the country in mind. For obvious reasons, of course. No visa troubles or passport issues and affordability, among other things.

All the stats were taken from Jovago’s Hospitality 2017 report.

5 Things You Need To Do Immediately After A Car Accident!

Some things in life are unexpected; you never know when you can run into your favorite celebrity, win the lottery, or find yourself in a car accident!

According to the World Health Organization, approximately 1.35 million individuals die from fatal car accidents. Whereas 20-50 million suffer non-fatal injuries, but many are left disabled.

This makes it all the more important to be focused on the road. If you find yourself in an accident, there are some procedures which you should follow. These will ensure your safety as well as the safety of others.

Here are five things you need to do right after a car accident!

1. Check for Injuries & Damage

car accident in pakistan
Credits: Justice Pays!

The most critical step is you conduct a self-evaluation and make sure you are not hurt. After you have done that, if there was another victim, check to see if they are also alright. Try to do a visual survey of the scenario to get an understanding of the damage.

2. Call the Authorities

car accidents in pakistan

If you are hurt or if the other person is hurt, immediately call for help. Do not hesitate as every second may be very critical for the other person. If the injuries are not too big, try to help by using the available resources.

3 Reasons Why Car Prices in Pakistan are Extremely High!

3. Click Images & Exchange Information

car accidents in karachi

If all victims are doing well, try to capture the scene of the accident, and the damages are done to your vehicle to the best of ability. This will come in handy to claim insurance. Moreover, share your details and take the other party’s features as well.

This will help in the investigation as you will have to be as accurate as possible. Try to avoid words like “I think so, I guess, maybe…” etc.

4. Maintain Record

car accident documents

It is highly essential for insurance purposes that you maintain a record of all documents. This includes a copy of the report, the claim number, information exchanged with the other victim, eye-witness contact numbers, receipts, etc.

5. Hire an Attorney

You may want to speak with an experienced attorney if there’s the possibility of a lawsuit following a car accident. Moreover, by having a lawyer on your side protects your rights and ensures valuable evidence is not destroyed.

Be sure to follow these steps to the best of your ability as someone’s life is at stake!

Meet Gulzar Hussain – A Disabled Teacher Who Loves To Educate Children

Gulzar Hussain

It has not been long since the days when media outlets would report a terrorist attack every couple of days in Pakistan. The country suffered a great deal, mainly post 9/11 attacks. The state not only had substantial economic losses but also lost lives. Pakistan lost around 35,000 people in the attacks by different terrorist organizations.

This figure also includes around 5,000 security personnel. We often forget that there are many martyrs and victims before the 9/11 attacks. Those people are often neglected. Gulzar Hussain is one of those neglected survivors.

Gulzar Hussain – A Hero

Gulzar Hussain is a 28-year-old from Luqmankhel from Kurram Agency. In 1999, he lost his legs and an arm in a terrorist attack. At 8 or 9 years of age, Gulzar was too young to realize the consequences of what happened to him. However, growing up, he did not lose hope. Gulzar proved to be resilient and completed his education. He did his M.A.in Islamic studies.

Gulzar is now a teacher at a government school in his village. He teaches underprivileged children for Rs—6,000 monthly. Unfortunately, Gulzar has not been receiving his salary since the merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) into the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

A neglected inspiration

Gulzar Hussain

Gulzar Hussain is not only a hero for his children, but he is an inspiration for everyone. His resilience is proof if a person is tough, he can fight even the worst of circumstances. Gulzar Hussain is an unsung hero and an exemplary person.

It is a shame that the government does not pay attention to such individuals. When they could portray them as the resilient face of Pakistani youth, Gulzar Hussain can be an inspiration to millions of children all across the country. People like him can be guides to children and teens facing loss.

The fight continues

The story of Gulzar Hussain is evidence that a person can fight the worst of the times and circumstances. However, only if they genuinely believe in themselves. Life is not a fairytale. Gulzar Hussain is still struggling and fighting. He started teaching at Luqmankhel Government School in 2014. Despite teaching for around six years, he does not have a permanent post.

The people of Gulzar Hussain’s village support him. His students look up to him. His commitment and hard work are commendable. The parents of his students respect his hard work.

What do you think about Gulzar Hussain’s encouraging and uplifting story? Let us know in the comments below.

Pakistani Girl Nimra Is Going Viral & People Are Absolutely Loving Her!

A clip of Nimra’s informal interview has taken social media by storm and people are absolutely loving her.

Amidst the melancholy of the coronavirus outbreak, Pakistanis have desperately been craving for a beam of light that would distract (if not rescue) them from the sorrows and miseries of daily life. Surprisingly enough, a random Pakistani girl Nimra Ali has emerged out of nowhere to serve the purpose.

Nimra – A Ray Of Sunshine!

Nimra recently visited a park where she was randomly interviewed by City 42 – a Lahore based news channel. “I am so happy! Too happy … too happy!” the Lahori girl enthusiastically expressed how it was a ‘dream come true’ moment for her. Well, the sparkle in her eyes was enough to explain how eager she was to come on screen at least once in her life.

Nimra Goes Viral on Social Media Platforms

A clip of Nimra’s informal interview has taken social media by storm. Our happy go lucky Nimra is trending on Twitter, and Pakistanis cannot stop adoring her excitement and confidence.

Have a look at the video yourself:

Some people are appreciating how thrilled and joyful Nimra is, while others are sending lots of love-coated prayers for her.

Envying how happy she looks, some social media users even wish to be as contented as Nimra appears to be in her interview.

Netizens have also taken this opportunity to call out Iffat Omar and Nida Yasir! And Chants of ‘Be Like Nimra’ are surfacing various social media platforms, especially Twitter.

Nimra’s cheerfulness and exuberance have brought smiles to several faces all across Pakistan. Her charming smile and chatty yet affectionate personality have won the hearts of many netizens, and they have unapologetically expressed their admiration on Twitter. Have a look at it yourself:

Will Nimra Be Yet Another Victim Of Social Media Bullying?

Nimra is getting a lot of ‘positive’ attention from all across Pakistan. She is not only being adored but also envied by the masses. However, being bullied on social media is not uncommon in incidences like these. Many people, including the famous Aunty Gormint, have been a victim of social media bullying previously, and people have crossed their limits, humiliating them unstoppably and made their lives miserable. We hope that she only attracts positive attention and breaks the chain.

We are sending lots of love and prayers for our bubbly Nimra! We sincerely hope that nothing dims her light!

Do you love Nimra’s enthusiasm and jubilant nature as much as we do? Will Nimra be yet another victim of social media bullying? What do you think? Let us know in the comment section below!

The coronavirus outbreak has impacted our lives in unprecedented ways, and we are all still trying to adjust to the new normal. Yes, the struggle is indeed real! Anyhow, adding to our misery, the recent turn of events suggests that our sufferings are not going to end anytime soon.

Brucellosis: New Bacteria Outbreak In China That Has Infected Thousands

After Wuhan, Lanzhou (the capital of Gansu) in China, is now under the threat of a horrifyingly dangerous bacterial disease – Brucellosis. Reportedly, more than three thousand people in Lanzhou have already been infected, and more are jumping on the bandwagon.

According to news, a harmful waste gas that carried the bacteria leaked at a biopharmaceutical company the previous year, and it has traveled across the city, resulting in the outbreak.

Inhaling the aerosols formed by incomplete sterilization of this gas or coming in contact with an infected animal and consuming the infected animal’s dairy products can result in contracting the disease. It spreads by either inhaling the bacteria or by consuming raw or unpasteurized dairy products that come from infected animals. These animals include almost all livestock animals such as sheep, cattle, goats, and others, including pigs and dogs.

How Deadly Is The New Bacterial Outbreak?

Although Brucellosis shares almost the same symptoms as COVID-19, such as fever, fatigue, headache, and sweats, death by Brucellosis is scarce, unlike COVID-19. According to the US Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), among all positive cases, only 2% have lost their lives.  Also, person to person contact hardly transmits the disease.

Prevention is better than cure!

Owing to the COVID-19 situation, Pakistanis have suffered a lot, be it financially, physically, or emotionally. Not only did people lose their jobs but also their loved ones. Being a third world country, Pakistan is certainly not ready to face another pandemic. We have not fully recovered from the miseries caused by the coronavirus outbreak, and we are not up for yet another sad situation. Pakistan right now has a lot on its plate, and we do not need more! For God’s Sake!

We hence urge the authorities to take the Brucellosis outbreak seriously and employ pragmatic strategies to prevent it from traveling to Pakistan. We do not have the resources nor the correct mental state to deal with all the chaos once again.

Anyhow, in all good hopes, team Brandsynario wishes you a safe and healthy life!

Do you think that the Brucellosis outbreak in Lanzhou is signaling towards yet another pandemic? Will the developing countries, like Pakistan, be able to deal with it? What do you think? Let us know in the comment section below!

A Muslim Family In KPK Has Been Protecting A Sikh Crematorium For 3 Years!

In the wake of sectarian political violence that has been intensifying in the country recently, almost all of us have been on the verge of losing faith in humanity.

Muslims Protecting A Sikh Crematorium For 3 Years!

In trying times like these, an inspiring tale of a family in KPK that has been protecting a Sikh crematorium for 3 years has rejuvenated our trust in humanity.

Muzammil Shah, a Muslim youngster from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has lived in a Sikh crematorium in Bara Tehsil and has taken the responsibility to look after and manage the crematorium.

Reportedly, Sikhs had been residing in this part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for years; however, owing to the growing unrest in the region about ten years ago in 2009, a lot of Sikh families traveled to various cities of KPK (mainly Peshawar) leaving their houses behind.

The Sikh Community Is Satisfied

According to Mehtab Singh, a Sikh ex-resident of Bara Tehsil, the crematorium is in good hands, and the Sikh community is satisfied with the Muslim family guarding their crematorium.

Muzammil Shah’s family believes that the crematorium belongs to the Sikh community, and they can never peculate anyone’s belongings.

Talking to Independent Urdu, Muzammil Shah said:

“There is an open courtyard where the bodies are cremated, BUT We have nothing to do with that area. We ONLY live in rooms that are present here and look after the trees and plants. We will leave the place whenever the Sikh community will direct us to. BECAUSE it belongs to them and we do not have any ownership over it”

To know more details, have a look at this tweet by Independent Urdu:

What a fine example of interreligious harmony! Woke tales like these are a true reflection of Quaid-e-Azam’s vision, who viewed Pakistan as a safe place for all, irrespective of their religions and faiths. Such exemplary stories play a vital role in restoring our faith in humanity and giving us hope.

We Are Proud

We are proud of Muzammil Shah and his family and would like to extend our sincerest regards and deepest gratitude to them for playing their role in cultivating an all-inclusive environment in Pakistan.

Pakistan needs more people like them, without any doubt. Our appreciation goes out to the youngster who has been enthusiastic about making Bara Tehsil a safe-haven for the minorities.

Are you as proud of Muzammil Shah as we are? Let us know in the comment section below!

Ultimate Guide To Finding The Cheapest Flights To Anywhere In The World!

Here’s the ultimate guide to finding the cheapest flights to anywhere in the world!

1. Be open to choices

Source: Pinterest

Rather than considering a single destination to travel to, being open to choices and keeping a variety of alternatives in mind might help you get your hands on a fantastic deal.

2. Choose an appropriate travel season

Generally, flight rates keep on fluctuating throughout the year. It is always advisable to pick up a cheap travel season depending upon where you wish to travel to. Talking about the west, airfares typically fall or rise following the western holiday periods. Similarly, the summer season from late May to June is the most expensive to travel to Europe because many potential travelers wish to travel towards Europe. It is one of the most favorite leisure-travel destinations among tourists.

Additionally, traveling to Asia is usually extraordinarily expensive during the Chinese New Year season from mid-December to early January. The key to cheap traveling is to choose an off-peak season.

3. Book your flights wisely

To get your hands on a cheap flight, you might have to step out of your comfort zone. Reportedly, early morning flights, from 5 am to 7 am, are way less expensive than the evening ones that go on from 7 pm to 11 pm.

Similarly, traveling mid-week (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays) is usually cheaper than traveling on the weekends (Friday and Saturday). Knowing the most affordable and the most expensive days to travel is extremely important. Remember, flexibility is the key!

Additionally, you can also avail of cheaper airfares if you book your flight 6-7 months before traveling.

4. Book through online travel agents

Usually, for long haul flights with airlines like British Airways, Emirates, Singapore Airlines, etc., online travel agents get exclusive deals offering lower prices to travelers. Even if the ticket fare is the same as on the airline’s official website, online travel agents may sell some add-ons such as checked bags or meals at prices that are way cheaper. However, this might not always work. Airlines like Easyjet and Wizzair offer the most affordable rates on their own websites only.

5. Use the best flight search tools

And last but not least, use the best flight search tools to browse through various options and choose the one that fits you best. Google Flights is a fantastic tool that can help you in this regard. You can use several filters, refer to the map and the calendar to get not only the best destination but also the best route along with the cheapest days for you to travel. The best flight searching tools can help you find the most suitable flight as per your convenience.

Tesla Driver To Be Criminally Charged For Falling Asleep On Autopilot

Tesla
PC: Alberta Police

While technology has made advancement and has made life a whole lot easier, there are still many reasons why we should not be entirely dependant on it.

Imagine you own a beautiful and expensive car with an autopilot feature. You’re going on a drive, and then all of a sudden, you fall asleep. That’s exactly what happened to a Tesla Model S owner in Alberta, Canada.

The driver was caught sleeping on autopilot mode with their seat ‘fully reclined.’ Alberta RCMP received a complaint of a car speeding on Highway 2 near Ponoka.

“The car appeared to be self-driving, traveling over 140 km/h with both front seats completely reclined, and occupants appeared asleep.” Read the report.

Here’s what drivers failed to understand. In Tesla cars, autopilot doesn’t mean that the vehicle can drive itself to your chosen destination. It is a suite of driver-assist features. Though the feature allows drivers to drive autonomously on highways without driver interventions, Tesla asks drivers to keep their hands on the wheel and to pay attention at all times.

For the autopilot to remain active, the driver has to apply light torque continuously. In this incident, the police reported some strange behaviors from the vehicle, which was presumably on Autopilot:

“After the responding officer activated emergency lights on their vehicle, Tesla automatically began to accelerate. The Officer was able to obtain radar readings on the vehicle, confirming that it had automatically accelerated up to exactly 150 km/h.” said the police. The driver was then issued a speeding ticket and was charged for dangerous driving under the criminal code.

Moreover, this is not the first time a driver has fallen asleep. There are many reports over the years about such drivers crashing and even ending up killing many pedestrians. A lot of times, they end up injuring themselves and their passengers as well.

Here’s what digital publication electrek has to say:

Let me start by saying that using Autopilot at such high speed is dangerous, to begin with. If you are not paying attention, reclining your seat, and going to sleep, I think you should certainly be criminally charged.

The police seem to suggest that the car accelerated on its own after they activated their emergency lights. Tesla has a limit of 90 mph — 150 km/h on Autopilot.

The driver might have set that speed, which again is crazy, and there might have been a lead car that moved out of the way — enabling Tesla to accelerate.

But that’s all speculation.

Here’s Everything You Need To Know About Apple Watch 6

Apple Watch 6

On September 15, when iPhone 12 was supposed to release and did not, Apple launched some other products. In it was Apple Watch 6. So let’s have a look at the watch and see how it stands apart from its previous versions.

Blood Oxygen Sensor App

The highlight of this phone is its Blood Oxygen sensor. It informs the person of their general fitness, daily stats. But they also mention that it is not to be employed for medical consultation. Apple’s website reads:

“Blood Oxygen app measurements are not intended for medical use, including self-diagnosis or consultation with a doctor, and are only designed for general fitness and wellness purposes. If you have questions about your health, contact a medical professional.”

According to Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer:

“Apple Watch Series 6 completely redefines what a watch can do. With powerful new features, including a Blood Oxygen sensor and app, Apple Watch becomes even more indispensable by providing further insight into overall well-being.”
Apple Watch 6

Design and Performance

As usual, Apple aims to sum up all the old and new features in a compact shape. For Apple Watch 6, the brand has used the dual-core processor inspired by the processor used in iPhone 11. The new processor, however, runs 20% faster and allows launching apps 20% quicker. And all that within the same 18-hour battery life.
Alongside that, Watch Series 6 has a U1 chip and ultra Wideband antennas. What the wideband antenna does is it enables short-range wireless facilities.
The charging experience is also notable. You can have a full battery after charging for 1.5 hours and use it for 18 hours straight.

Compared to Apple Watch 5, the Retina display is 2.5 times brighter. So even if the Sun is shining, you will see the watch screen entirely right.

The Altimeter

In the Apple Watch 6, the altimeter is always on. And in real-time, it provides the elevation through the barometric altimeter. It also employs GPS systems and Wifi networks to be as accurate as possible.
With GPS, wifi, and altimeter, the measurements are correct to +/- 1 foot.

Battery Life

As we already mentioned, Apple Watch Series 6 has 18-hour battery life.

When we talk about performance, the display of watch 6 is always on, and yet it is a smarter and faster watch. Apple Watch 6

Watch O7

Also, if you are into personalization, the watch O7 allows personalization of the next level. Let’s look at the watch face options:
1. Stripes,
2. chronograph pro
3. GMT
4. artists etc.
Moreover, Apple Watch also includes health and fitness features. You can track your sleeping pattern through it.
To quickly give a rundown of all the elements, Apple Watch 6 includes low-range VO2 Max, sleep tracking, and has an efficient processor. It can access maps specified for cycling. And if you are doing it somewhere where you don’t know the local language, Siri can offer language translations.

All these features together on your wrist, the watch costs $399. Now it may seem a little expensive, but seeing all those facilities in it, the price is understandable.

Khalil Ur Rehman Questions Women If They Took Permission For Protests

Khalil ur Rehman
Images Source: Images - Dawn

The writer for the famous Mere Paas Tum Ho, the renowned Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar, strikes again!

Qamar had gained quite some fan following after producing hit shows such as Sadqey Tumharey and Pyarey Afzal. The dialogues were different, unique, and were heavy. But most of the existing fans couldn’t understand what hit them when Humayun Saeed and Aiza Khan starrer show aired.

Mere Paas Tum Ho

The show actively dispensed the idea that women were inferior to men. It showed that if women made mistakes in life, they should not get forgiveness than many Pakistani dramas where men always got forgiveness no matter how severe their crime was.

Khalil ur Rehman

Such a drama sparked huge debates, and Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar got under the spotlight. TV Channels started inviting the writer to their programs. Whether this fame got to his head or his mindset has always been like this, we will never know. But in these programs, he openly used lousy language for a woman and shared very toxic views. He got a lot of backlash from a group that he labeled as ‘funded feminists.’

Khalil ur Rehman Toxic Limelight

The need to answer his toxicity was looming on the heads, and so women started his discussing his toxicity not just on the internet but also on the streets i.e., the Aurat March. Later on, he faded in the background when one of the major TV channels announced terminating their contract with him.

However, he is still active on his Twitter account. So when the Lahore Motorway incident happened, he tweeted in his signature style. He said that while the experience is sad but the women crying for their safety after that event are ‘funded feminists’ and should not be paid any heed.

High TRP Game

Knowing that he will be sparking debates (the TRP game was high), another TV channel decided to give him the platform to voice his toxic opinions for millions to hear AGAIN!

Commenting on the protest that happened right after the gang rape on Lahore Motorway, he asked if the women in the street even had the permission to be there or not. Maybe it was the word ‘jism’ that does not sit right with him. Perhaps he has seen too many Bollywood movies where the word jism has always been sexualized. But he has interestingly commented with that idea when talking about the ‘Mera Jism Meri Marzi’ slogan. And he does the same again.

He asks the anchor and, by extension, the protestors that ‘if they are already in the streets, they are already ‘too free.’ What else do they want? Do they want to go with their boyfriends to the bedroom and want their fathers and brother to stand guard at the door.’

Every time he makes such statements, it creeps women out, and with every passing day, one more woman abandons being his fan. If that’s the case, well, Khalil Ur Rehman, speak more, please!
