Innovative Biscuits Launches Digestive Showtime!

Innovative Biscuits launched their short film platform, “Digestive Showtime” this Sunday, at Ali Auditorium, Lahore with some of today’s most vital directors and a curated all-star lineup of seasoned actors.

where guests interacted and share their thoughts on Innovative Biscuit’s new venture. The
event was attended by industry veterans including; Noman Ijaz, Reesham, Bilal Lashari, Ammara Hikmat, Seemi Raheel, Vasay Chaudhry, Umair Rana and Javad Bashir and cast and directors from the films including; Sanam Saeed, Mohib Mirza, Sultan Ghani, Ahsan Rahim, Mukhtar Zaidi and other guests.

The main event was opened by hosts, Ali Aftab Saeed and Marhoom Ahmed Bilal, with a
humorous and engaging monologue. This was followed by a keynote by Senior Brand Manager and Platform Producer, Syed Talha Imran. Mr. Imran spoke about the essence of Innovative Digestive and creating content that was relatable for local audiences and closed the note with a showreel around the “Digestive Showtime” concept and the five short films.

The hosts later introduced the celebrity panel for a discussion. The panel included Sultan
Ghani, Mohib Mirza, Sanam Saeed, Ahsan Rahim, Noman Ijaz, and Umair Mustafa. The panel
spoke about the ideas behind the five short films, the future of Pakistani film industry and TV, and
OTT Platforms among other things. The event was closed with a viewing of the first trailer from the short film “Yorker”, which was highly appreciated by the audience in attendance.

When asked about the significance of the platform, Director Marketing and Executive Producer, Umair Mustafa commented, “We look forward to celebrating the launch of “Digestive Showtime”, which aids Innovative Biscuits in bringing storytellers and the film community together.

As we take our first steps towards launching this platform, we have centered our thoughts and plans on the filmmakers and filmgoers who have been starved of good content with great production values. Samsung Launches S7 & S7 Edge: Specifications & Features

Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S7 at the Mobile World Conference 2016. Samsung’s newest flagship phones S7 and S7 Edge are nearly identical to the S6 and S6 Edge respectively. Not much has changed look wise except a few tweaks here and there.

Screen:

S7 boasts the same 5.1-inch screen like the S6 with 2,560 x 1,440-pixel resolution. However the S7 Edge boasts a 5.5 inch screen in contrast to the S6 Edge’s 5.1 inch.The screen boasts a Quad HD Super AMOLED Display.

That being said and set aside, Samsung has worked hard under the bonnet of the phone. Some of the popular features dropped from the S6 are back with S7.

Karachi To Have Its First Technology Park In Two Years

It’s Karachi’s turn to get a technology park now. TPL Properties has announced that they will be building it in Sindh. In Karachi, which is the hub of commercial activities, having a technology park will facilitate the companies established in the city. The land for the park has been acquired at Korangi Industrial Area.

It is being speculated that it will take two years to create this park, and that includes the planning and designing aspects of it. Since its a technology park, the goal of the company is that it will enable a high-tech platform and infrastructure for the IT companies that will, in the long term, boost productivity.

It is high time that Karachi is getting its first technology park considering India ad the Philippines already have multiple technology parks that have positively boosted the IT industry in terms of productivity and efficiency. Moreover, since most of Pakistan’s IT companies and software houses are in the big cities of the country, these cities should have IT parks by now.

Alphabet Inc. owned YouTube which is the biggest streaming platform on the planet has been able to provide 4K HDR support on its video-streaming. The high-quality streaming was available on iOS earlier but now the US-based streaming service has extended the support for Android users too.

How To Access 4K HDR Streaming On YouTube’s Android App?

Before the most recent support, Android users were only being offered video streaming in 1440p resolution regardless of whether their phone screens were able to support streaming of higher resolution. However, with the latest update now even android users can enjoy the high-quality streaming provided that the video that they intend to watch is uploaded at that resolution.

The users of YouTube’s Android application will now be able to select 2160p (4K) HDR after clicking on the three dots on their video player. If you are unable to see that option, chances are that you may have not updated your app to the latest version.

As per details, the latest update of the YouTube app which has this update was released on February 18th.

HEC Announces Scholarships For Students Of Balochistan

Most programs start in the fall, and those programs’ admissions mostly end in December and January. But don’t fret if you have missed that because the opportunity of your life has the deadline is March 18th, 2021. So if you have a domicile that makes you the residents of Balochistan, get ready to apply for a higher education degree which could be anything from LLB, LLM, or Ph.D. level courtesy HEC.

How To Apply

You have to apply through the HEC portal. So first, you have to register yourself with the HEC. Since everything is online, in the first phase, you do not need a hardcopy of documents. You just need the scans. There is, however, an application fee of PKR 500. You have to deposit it into the HEC’s bank account and submit the scan of the paid copy with the HEC  application. It is non-refundable.

Details of eligibility

If you are looking to apply for LLB, your maximum age should be 25, for LLM 30 years, and Ph.D. 35 years. For LLB, the candidate must have at least 50% marks in BISE intermediate or any other equivalent exam. The LLM candidates must have an LLB degree from HEC recognized university. As for the Ph.D. students, they must have an LLM degree. Apart from that, all of the candidates will be asked to appear in the aptitude test. They all must secure more than 50% marks in it.

Moreover, out of all the seats for this scholarship, 15 to 20 percent will be reserved for the victim’s families who were martyrs or severely injured in the blast of August 8th, 2016, that happened in Quetta. Although if the candidates from victims’ families are lesser than the assigned quota, that case, the seat will be given to someone eligible on merit.

[Update]: iPhone users may relate to the statement that more than using their phones, they have to charge them. And they would also not be strangers to how fragile the wired chargers are. Well, it is time to say goodbye to the troubles those wires presented us with, apparently. No more tearing away Apple chargers. 

The tech giant is looking into creating a battery pack that will magnetically connect to the charger. This service is initially focused on Apple 12, the device that launched in October 2020. So, well, the company will have another add-on to sell away.

The magnet will be installed at the back of the iPhone with the aid of the MagSafe System. It is the same system that helps in pairing other Apple accessories such as its wallets. It is being said that the charger had not yet been released due to technological issues. It was being said that the device was initially facing issues if the users were switching between wired and wireless chargers. Moreover, the battery pack was also overheating. 

Could these challenges lead to the accessory not launching? It would look very cool was it to release, though.

Apple has mentioned that the iPhone 11 units between the time mentioned above were developed with a fault. This involved a touch screen, which had some issues. Users who bought the phone then experienced these issues, causing them a bad iPhone experience. If you had a phone between that time, iPhone 11, check your serial number.

The serial number will tell you if you’re eligible to apply for the program. If you are, an Apple-authorized service provider will replace your iPhone 11 screen for free of cost. However, Apple has mentioned that it may restrict or limit repair to the original country or region of purchase.

A Future Of Technology

One of the things this shows about Apple is that they care about their long-time customers. The fact that they’re starting a program to repair their older phones for free shows dedication. They are not abandoning their customers as the era moves forward. Just because iPhone 12 was a success does not mean that iPhone 11 has to be disregarded.

The presence of such a program shows that they may announce other programs too. Apple can rewind further back and check older models of other products too. The updated AliExpress app on the Google Playstore can let you view product prices in PKR or Pakistani Rupees. Although it is a quality of life update, it will save you the hassle of constantly having to switch tabs to convert prices on other devices.

One of the most surprising things about the opening ceremony was that it was held in Turkey, a country that does not even play cricket. The ceremony featured superstar Atif Aslam, Amplifier’s Imran Khan, alongside Aima Baig and Naseebo Lal, who could be seen performing in a pre-recorded ceremony in Turkey.

The pandemic affected sports ceremonies all around the world severely, and the fact that the ceremony was pre-recorded and was held at a foreign location may have to do with the situation inflicted upon by the pandemic.

The story revolves around a cub Simba who is cunningly manipulated into believing that he is the reason his father is dead (no matter how many times you’ll watch it, this scene will make you cry every time!).

Simba then blames himself and runs away from home. Simba’s uncle eventually takes over the kingdom as the new King. But, the rightful Lion King returns to claim his throne!

How could man-eating dinosaurs not make this list? Just like the Terminator franchise, Jurassic Park is a worldwide hit! It is one of the best, popular and groundbreaking projects by Steven Spielberg.
