Most programs start in the fall, and those programs’ admissions mostly end in December and January. But don’t fret if you have missed that because the opportunity of your life has the deadline is March 18th, 2021. So if you have a domicile that makes you the residents of Balochistan, get ready to apply for a higher education degree which could be anything from LLB, LLM, or Ph.D. level courtesy HEC.

How To Apply

You have to apply through the HEC portal. So first, you have to register yourself with the HEC. Since everything is online, in the first phase, you do not need a hardcopy of documents. You just need the scans. There is, however, an application fee of PKR 500. You have to deposit it into the HEC’s bank account and submit the scan of the paid copy with the HEC  application. It is non-refundable.


Details of eligibility

If you are looking to apply for LLB, your maximum age should be 25, for LLM 30 years, and Ph.D. 35 years. For LLB, the candidate must have at least 50% marks in BISE intermediate or any other equivalent exam. The LLM candidates must have an LLB degree from HEC recognized university. As for the Ph.D. students, they must have an LLM degree. Apart from that, all of the candidates will be asked to appear in the aptitude test. They all must secure more than 50% marks in it.

Moreover, out of all the seats for this scholarship, 15 to 20 percent will be reserved for the victim’s families who were martyrs or severely injured in the blast of August 8th, 2016, that happened in Quetta. Although if the candidates from victims’ families are lesser than the assigned quota, that case, the seat will be given to someone eligible on merit.

HEC has the right to cancel the application process at any time, but for the ones aspiring for higher education, they should make sure that their application is concrete. Because you never know if the opportunity was made possible just for you.
