On September 12, at 10 AM PT, the tech world’s eyes will be fixated on One Apple Park Way as Tim Cook and his team prepare to showcase the latest gadgets ahead of the holiday season. As the anticipation builds, let’s take a look at what’s in store for the big Apple event.
Among the sure bets for the event are the iPhone 15 and Apple Watch Series 9. These iconic products are expected to take center stage, offering consumers a glimpse of what’s to come in the world of smartphones and wearables.
iPhone 15: Embracing USB-C
The most prominent announcement is likely to be the iPhone 15, and what makes it even more intriguing is that Apple didn’t make this change by choice. The European Union (EU) played a significant role in this shift by standardizing ports across devices. While manufacturers were given until the end of 2024 to implement this technology, all signs point to Apple adopting USB-C for the iPhone 15. This change aligns with growing consumer advocacy and e-waste concerns worldwide.
Source: Tech Crunch
Apple’s decision to shift away from the Lightning connector, which has been a staple for a decade, is a significant move. Many users and tech enthusiasts have criticized the Lightning connector, making this change a welcome one for many.
Interestingly, reports suggest that the higher USB 3.2 data speed will be reserved for the pro models, while the standard iPhone 15 may stick with USB 2.0, which is still common in the Android realm. Additionally, wireless charging is expected to receive a boost, reaching 35W across all models. Apple may adopt the Qi2 standard, which combines wireless charging with magnets, a feature that aligns with Apple’s history in the Wireless Power Consortium.
The Dynamic Island feature, initially introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max, is also expected to make its way to the standard models, enhancing user experiences.
iPhone 15 Ultra
Another exciting addition to the lineup is the rumored iPhone 15 Ultra, set to replace the Pro Max. This model is anticipated to feature a 6.7-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, thinner bezels, and a new “Action” button, replacing the traditional Mute button. This button, borrowed from the Apple Watch Ultra, offers various customizable shortcuts, enhancing user accessibility and control.
Apple Watch Series 9
While the rumor mill has been relatively quiet regarding the Apple Watch, it’s still likely to see some updates. The Apple Watch Series 9 and the Ultra 2 are expected to receive new processors and color options. There’s also speculation about Apple considering 3D printing for case design, following the Vision Pro’s lead. However, given the mass-market appeal of the Apple Watch, the scalability of 3D printing remains a question.

AirPods and Beyond
AirPods enthusiasts might finally get a treat, although it’s more likely to happen in 2024 with the introduction of the H2 chip. However, a standalone USB-C charging case could be on the horizon. Additionally, it’s been almost three years since the AirPods Max release, so a new iteration could also be in the works. Lastly, an updated HomePod mini could make an appearance.
Other Expectations
The Apple event could provide a deeper look at the Vision Pro headset, offering a closer glimpse of its capabilities. The content for this spatial computing headset remains a mystery, but given its early 2024 market release, demos might be in store. As the SDK and Unity’s development platform have had time to mature, gaming-related announcements are also a possibility.
Lastly, the event might shed light on release dates for iOS, macOS, iPadOS, and watchOS updates. While Mac updates may not be the focus this time, the M3 chip could be a highlight in 2024.
As the Apple event approaches, tech enthusiasts around the world eagerly await these exciting revelations, setting the stage for a holiday season filled with innovative Apple products.

What started as a brand campaign has turned into a social media banter and the whole scenario is hilarious, to say the least. KFC’s campaign ‘Tum Se Na Ho Payega’ has food brands rolling out their response to the statement and here’s everything that went down.
KFC – The King Of Fried Chicken?
The king of fried chicken KFC rolled out a statement ‘Tum se na ho payega’ alongside many reasons why other brands can’t top their level of fried chicken. Whether it was a targeted dig at other brands or a mere statement, is not known. However, brands took notice and responded to the food giant’s statement with a twist of their own.
Karachi Broast was the first one to take notice of the dig and released a statement while hilariously defying KFC’s statement. While it seems like Karachi Broast has taken the statement to their hearts, it is very well known that the products offered by the two brands have a different fan base and can never be compared by any means.

Meanwhile, if that wasn’t enough, Food Fusion in an attempt to put an end to the social media fight rolled out a post claiming to be the mother of food channels. The whole scenario has got the fans talking and while the majority are enjoying the banter, some can’t help but take sides of the brands.

Huawei’s latest smartphone, the Mate 60 Pro, has been making waves in China’s tech scene, but it’s also raised concerns in the United States, prompting an investigation by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Cutting-Edge Technology Raises Eyebrows
What’s causing the alarm among American officials is the cutting-edge technology housed within the Huawei phone, particularly its advanced 7-nanometer processor produced by SMIC, China’s premier chipmaker. This processor grants the Mate 60 Pro impressive power and speed, positioning it as a formidable competitor to Apple’s iPhone, and it’s been selling exceptionally well in China.
Source: CBS News
This situation has ignited discussions about the effectiveness of U.S. export controls, which were originally implemented to hinder Huawei’s access to state-of-the-art components such as advanced processors. Until recently, these restrictions had effectively stymied Huawei’s smartphone business. In fact, prior to the U.S. sanctions, the company was well on its way to becoming a global smartphone powerhouse, even outselling Apple in Europe in 2018.
U.S. Department of Commerce Investigates
The U.S. Department of Commerce has confirmed that it is actively investigating the new Huawei phone and the technology it employs, particularly the 7nm chip. A Commerce official emphasized that export controls are just one of the tools in the government’s arsenal to address national security threats posed by the People’s Republic of China.
Global Tech and Geopolitical Tensions
The release of Huawei’s new phone coincides with ongoing tensions and competition between the U.S. and China across various fronts, including geopolitical issues such as the status of Taiwan and the conflict in Ukraine. U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo’s recent visit to Beijing aimed at improving trade relations underscores the complexity of this relationship.
Source: Wall Street Journal
To understand the implications of the Mate 60 Pro’s success and the U.S. investigation, it’s essential to grasp Huawei’s background and why the U.S. imposed export restrictions. Founded in 1987, Huawei has grown into one of the world’s largest telecommunications companies, operating in 170 countries and employing over 200,000 people. However, its products remain largely inaccessible to American consumers due to concerns about national security, with AT&T and Verizon ceasing distribution of Huawei devices in 2018.
The Mate 60 Pro: A Game-Changer for Huawei
The Mate 60 Pro, Huawei’s latest addition to its Mate smartphone line, is equipped with a 7nm chip manufactured by SMIC. This marks a significant achievement for China’s domestic design and manufacturing capabilities, according to analysts. The phone boasts remarkable features, including rapid download speeds faster than current top-of-the-line 5G phones, satellite support, a sizable OLED screen, a 5,000mAh battery, and a starting price of $900.
Rivalry and Market Dynamics
For Apple, this comes at a critical moment as it prepares to unveil its latest iPhone, the iPhone 15. China represents about 20% of Apple’s revenue, making it one of its most crucial markets. In addition to renewed competition from Huawei, Apple is grappling with new restrictions from the Chinese government, including reports of government employees being prohibited from using iPhones. This news caused Apple’s market value to drop by around $200 billion.
Assessing the Apple Factor
However, some experts argue that concerns about the impact of a government ban on Apple are exaggerated. Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives believes that even in a worst-case scenario, any potential ban would have a limited impact on iPhone sales in China, given the vast scale of the market.
Huawei’s Mate 60 Pro is creating a stir in China’s smartphone market and causing concern in the United States. This situation raises questions about the effectiveness of export controls and highlights the complex relationship between the U.S. and China, with potential repercussions for Apple and its presence in the Chinese market.

Karachi Grammar School, also known as KGS, is one of Pakistan’s most prestigious schools. It is also filled with a bunch of privileged, elite children, right? Wrong!
Over the years, Grammarians have been facing prejudice from other students, whether it be at competitions or social events
Many a time, the judgmental attitude of other children is evident through their words and actions.
Here we have decided to put an end to the prejudice and clear out some misconceptions about Grammarians.
1. We are the biggest snobs on the planet
Everyone thinks we believe we are better than others and that we think no end of ourselves. However, it might surprise you that not all of us are arrogant and most of us do not conform to this stuck up impression.
2. We are spoilt, rich brats
Most people think that everything is handed to us on a silver platter and that we’re nothing but a bunch of millionaires taking everything for granted. But let me assure you, all the students in KGS have diverse backgrounds and work equally hard to achieve success.
3. All of us are burgers
People believe that we glorify western cultures and are clueless of our own but the truth is, that here in KGS, we could not be prouder of our heritage. And yes, we do wear shalwar kameez and eat daal chaawal.
4. Urdu is a foreign language for us
Majority of the people are under the impression that we don’t understand a single word of our native tongue and fake an accent while attempting to speak it. Well, let’s just say we are as fluent in Urdu as we are in English and would surprise you anytime, any day.
5. Associating with people from lesser known schools is social suicide for us.
Students from other schools often believe that we are extremely exclusive. On the contrary, we do not look down on those who are not “blessed” with the “privilege” of being a Grammarian. KGS students are actually quite friendly and welcoming.
6. We constantly party.
People think Grammarians spends their weekends partying the night away. I hate to break it to you, but the reality is that we spend all our vacations studying for the endless test weeks.
Oh, but we do make time for some Netflix sessions.
7. We win everything
No doubt hard work is one of our strengths, KGS does not always bag the first prize when it comes to competitions. We are just as clueless as you are. We are not invincible. Karachi Grammar School does lose… sometimes.
8. And the achievements we do earn are because of our name.
Students from other schools tend to believe that judges are biased towards us, regardless of whether we have the talent or not. This misconception could not be further from the truth than it already is. Every achievement the school has ever earned is through hard work and hours of dedication.
9. Grammarians only travel abroad and have no desire to explore Pakistan.
Nope. Not True. This picture from last year’s school trip to Nathia Gali will serve as proof to that.
10. Those who have money and connections are guaranteed admission in the school
Every year, a number of aspiring students are admitted into the school after being tested and interviewed. These determined individuals are willing to make a difference and our varied student body reiterates that. Hope this information clears all your prejudice.
In conclusion, not every one of us conforms to these typical stereotypes that all Grammarians are labeled with. Instead, we encourage open-mindedness and acceptance.

Chinese citizens in China have been greatly concerned and worried by a draft law that has been created. There is growing concern that Chinese lawmakers may consider enacting a rule. That would punish and imprison anybody who upset the government by donning the “wrong clothing,” according to Western media sites.
China’s Fashion Law
The Standing Committee of the country’s legislature recently published a draft of changes to the law. That might outlaw a wide variety of conduct. According to reports, these unacceptable behaviors include speaking or dressing in a way that could “damage the spirit of the Chinese people and hurt the Chinese people’s feelings.”
Many Chinese citizens expressed worries about the proposed legal amendments on social media. Claiming that Chinese authorities may have gone “too far,” according to Bloomberg News.
Notably, China and Japan have had tense relations going back to World War II. Since Tokyo opted to discharge treated effluent from the destroyed Fukushima nuclear facility into the ocean, the situation has gotten worse.
Chinese authorities have also taken strong measures against those who distribute pro-LGBTQ flags on university campuses or wear rainbow-themed clothing at concerts as a result of their rivalry with Japan. Previously, a woman was detained by the authorities in Suzhou, a city close to Shanghai, for donning a kimono in public.
Public Outage Over The Law
Many users of Chinese social media voiced worry that the anticipated legal changes would be excessive. ‘How would authorities know when the nation’s feelings would be hurt?’
A query posted by a user of the social media platform Weibo.
Du Zhaoyong, who identifies himself as a lawyer on Weibo, said in a post that the law would “definitely bring huge uncertainty and open wide the door of convenience to arbitrary and unauthorized punishment.”
Cricket, a game of tradition and technique, has seen its fair share of unorthodox bowling actions over the years. These unique styles have left both fans and opponents bewildered, challenging the norms of the sport. While some of these bowlers became legends, others left a lasting mark with their eccentricities. Let’s dive into the world of unconventional bowling actions and the bowlers who defied convention.
Mike Proctor: The Wrong-Footed Speedster
Mike Proctor, a name that might ring a bell for a different reason among today’s cricket enthusiasts, was once a fearsome fast bowler for South Africa. Known for his blistering pace, Proctor was unconventional in every sense. He bowled “at 100mph from mid-off off the wrong foot,” displaying a rare wrong-footed action. This meant that he delivered the ball while landing on his right foot, a peculiar sight for any cricket purist.
Colin Croft: Caribbean’s Enigma
Colin Croft, hailing from the cricketing powerhouse of the Caribbean, brought his unique style to the game. He ran in so close to the stumps that he often obstructed the umpire’s view, making it challenging for batsmen to pick his deliveries. Croft’s unpredictable angle and the impression of being a left-arm pacer, despite being right-arm, added to his mystique.

Muttiah Muralitharan: The Spin Wizard
Muttiah Muralitharan, arguably the greatest off-spinner in cricket history, had a debatable bowling action. While his square turn on pitches worldwide was legendary, his bent-arm action sparked controversy. Despite ICC clearing his action multiple times, it was his enigmatic facial expressions while releasing the ball that drew amusement.

Sohail Tanvir: The Wrong-Footed Mystery
Like Mike Proctor, Sohail Tanvir also featured on the list of wrong-footed bowlers. His landing on the left foot during delivery made his action stand out as bizarre.

Jasprit Bumrah: The Modern-Day Oddity
Jasprit Bumrah, India’s pace sensation, brought his own brand of uniqueness to the game. His wide-arm action is often described as unorthodox, with his hands creating an unusual pose resembling a clock when he jumps to bowl.
Lasith Malinga: The Slinga Sensation
Lasith Malinga’s slinging round-arm action is nothing short of legendary. His unconventional style earned him the nickname ‘slinga’ and made him a standout figure in cricket history.
Shivil Kaushik: The Chinaman Mystery
Shivil Kaushik, reminiscent of South African spinner Paul Adams, entered the limelight during the Indian Premier League. His Chinaman bowling style, combined with a peculiar action, left batsmen scratching their heads.
Paul Adams: The “Frog in a Blender”
Paul Adams, the original maestro of Chinaman bowling, caught the world’s attention during the 1996 World Cup. His bizarre action, involving a small run-up, a high jump, and a neck jerk, left spectators wondering how he managed it. Mike Gatting famously described him as the “frog in a blender.”
Shiva Singh: The 360 degree bowler
The cricketing community might have missed out on witnessing a distinctive bowling action – one in which the bowler executed a full 360-degree rotation during his run-up, only for the umpire to declare a dead ball. This intriguing incident unfolded during the third day of a CK Nayudu Trophy match, a prestigious four-day domestic competition featuring India’s Under-23 state teams. The match in question pitted Bengal against Uttar Pradesh and took place in Kalyani, situated on the outskirts of Kolkata.
While these unconventional bowling actions may have initially raised eyebrows, they enriched the game of cricket by showcasing the diversity of talent and styles within the sport. These bowlers, with their quirks and eccentricities, have etched their names in the annals of cricket history, adding to the charm and unpredictability of the game.

A one-of-a-kind wedding happened in Indonesia after the Indonesian groom vanished on the day of his wedding, humiliating the bride and her family, and in a turn of events, the groom’s father married the bride.
The unexpected occurred when the guests assembled and the space shimmered with preparations. The girl was scheduled to be wed to the groom, Isra, in Jikotamo, South Halmahera, on August 29. However, on the wedding day, he vanished.
Concerned about the amount of money they had spent on wedding preparations the bride’s family. They did not want to lose that money by postponing the wedding, which cost about 25 million rupiahs ($1,700).
The incident’s abrupt turn of events was recounted by her brother to reporters while he was retelling the story. ‘The groom’s family said that their son was gone and could not be discovered after the guests for the wedding had already arrived,’ he added.
The bride was consequently married by the groom’s father, who stepped in. Despite the odd nature of the wedding ceremony, it was thought to be the only option to save the bride’s family’s reputation.
The incident has prompted a discussion on social media, where some users have shown sympathy for the bride and others have criticized her family for continuing with the ceremony even though the groom wasn’t present.
Why the groom vanished on the day of his wedding is unknown. Others have argued that he might have been involved in another relationship, while others have hypothesized that he might have had cold feet.

The tech giant is keeping Android enthusiasts excited with a sneak peek at some exciting new features that will soon grace relatively modern Android smartphones. These upcoming updates promise to enhance user experience, accessibility, and productivity across various aspects of the Android ecosystem.
Revamped At A Glance Widget for 2023
One of the most noticeable changes on the horizon is the redesign of the beloved At A Glance widget. This widget, nestled prominently on Android home screens, is set to become even more informative and functional. With the update, the Google Search widget will offer users a quick glimpse of pertinent information. Weather alerts, travel updates including travel times and suggestions, and event reminders will all be at your fingertips, making your daily routine more streamlined and efficient.

In addition to the At A Glance widget overhaul, Google is also revamping its Google Wallet app. A significant improvement is the ability to import boarding passes and QR codes from screenshots and PDFs. This handy feature will be a game-changer for travelers, ensuring quick and hassle-free access to essential documents while navigating the airport or entering your gym. Google is striving to make everyday tasks more convenient and accessible.
Seamless Office Meetings with Android Auto Integration
Furthermore, Google is making strides in improving productivity, particularly for those on the go. Android Auto is set to integrate with popular video conferencing platforms, Webex and Zoom. When your phone is connected to an Android Auto-compatible infotainment unit, you’ll have the ability to browse and join meetings seamlessly. Moreover, during meetings, you can conveniently mute your microphone or end the call with ease, making remote work and collaboration smoother than ever before.
Google Assistant Routines is also getting a noteworthy upgrade. Users will soon be able to integrate sleep data from Fitbit or Google Fit into their routines. This means you can easily access and analyze your sleep metrics, allowing for better health tracking and insights into your sleep patterns. Google is actively striving to provide users with more comprehensive tools to manage their well-being.
Inclusivity through Image Q&A on Lookout
Perhaps one of the most significant strides in accessibility comes with the introduction of the Image Q&A on Lookout feature. Aimed at enhancing the experience for individuals with low vision, this feature utilizes AI to provide detailed descriptions of images. Users can even pose follow-up questions via typing or voice to gain further insights into the visual content. Initially available in 11 languages, Google has plans to expand this feature to support 34 languages, making visual content more inclusive and accessible to a global audience.

LONDON – September 6th, 2023 – On September 7th, PUBG MOBILE, one of the world’s most popular mobile games, will be overrun with hordes of the undead in its new terrifying Version 2.8 Update. In the run-up to Halloweeks, Zombies have infected the battlegrounds, with creepy new enemies, challenges, abilities and items to explore. Significant enhancements are also coming to World of Wonder, including Creation Rating and a new Zombie PvE template, alongside a new Metro Royale Season and Cycle 5 Season 14.
In the Version 2.8 Update, legions of infected Mutants will be swamping Erangel, Miramar and Livik until November 6th! The pulsing dark energy of Aerolith has mutated the lab dedicated to its study into an abandoned wasteland loaded with abundant supplies and resources, which automatically grants those who enter a respawn card.
Deep in Aerolith Lab and Outpost on these maps, players must prevent as many Mutants from being absorbed by the Aerolith as possible. The more Mutants the Aerolith absorbs, the more powerful the daunting Rage Berserker boss that spawns will be, providing an even greater challenge. Players who defeat this fearsome foe will be rewarded with a crate.
Three equally frightening variations of Zombie await players in the Version 2.8 Update. In addition to the regular Mutant, the tall, intimidating Berserker wields weapons and shields in its fortified, muscular right arm, while the agile Ripper can leap and dash quickly to attack and evade blows.
The rewards from defeating these living dead however are worth the horror. While some Zombies wander ominously around the Aerolith Lab, more powerful Rage Berserkers can be found lurking closer to the Aerolith. Once defeated, these fearsome monsters drop genetic materials, which can grant players a host of enhanced supernatural abilities. These include Mutation Gauntlets, huge arm gauntlets that deal monstrous amounts of melee damage and a fierce Smash ability, and razor-sharp Mutation Blade to slash at enemies, which combined with a Sprint ability allow players to zip around the battlegrounds and cause damage along the way.
Players can also hop aboard the Maglev Hoverboard, which can be acquired from the Lab, to traverse both land and sea efficiently. There will also be a surprise coming in early October to celebrate Halloweeks for those who like to party!
The Version 2.8 Update also debuts a host of gameplay enhancements, including improvements to the World of Wonder creative mode with Creation Rating, new gameplay devices for the Editor, and a new Zombie PvE Template. Here, new waves of monsters spawn every round – only those who defeat them all will win.
Additionally, Cycle 5 Season 14 is updated with new content, rewards and cosmetics to unlock and enjoy, and the latest Metro Royale Chapter 16 will bring a new Dagger melee weapon and collectibles.
Players can also look forward to two exciting collaborations with one of the globe’s biggest restaurant chains and a world-renowned performance car brand. Stay tuned for more details!
