GPT-4 Is Helping People Generate Profitable Business Models – Here’s How!

ChatGPT-3 is a large natural language processing model developed by OpenAI, the latest version of their “Generative Pre-trained Transformer” (GPT) series. It has over 175 billion parameters, making it one of the largest and most powerful language models currently available. As if ChatGPT 3 hadn’t caused enough global hype, GPT4 is now on the way. Because of the popularity and extensive use of earlier GPT models, it is likely that ChatGPT-4 will spark a great deal of curiosity and anticipation for the breakthroughs in natural language processing it may bring.

Recently, a Twitter user requested that GPT-4 assist him in earning “as much money as possible.” The AI-assisted him in creating a business plan and turning a profit. Jackson Fall, the founder of Circus Dot Fish, is one of those who put it to the test. Jackson Fall gave GPT-4 a $100 (about Rs. 8000) budget and a set of guidelines.

He instructed the robot to generate the most money out of the $100. Also, he told the bot to avoid suggesting any ideas that would require human labor or would be prohibited. The AI then instructed Fall to create an “affiliate marketing site generating material around eco-friendly or sustainable living products,” according to his instructions. A logo was even created by the AI. Here have a look.

Fall stated that the website had $163.84 in cash as of day one (approximately. 8200.) A breakdown of his earnings was also provided.

Fall then also provided those who were interested with day-to-day updates.

The adventure isn’t over yet! After the website was operational, GPT-4 even provided Fall with a performance evaluation.

These tweets were shared just two days ago. Since being posted, it has been viewed over 17 million times. Many were fazed at the whole incident.

21 March 2023: Haleon Pakistan Limited (formerly GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Pakistan Limited) has announced a partnership with leading global cleft charity, Smile Train,  raising funds through its leading Oral Care brands, Sensodyne and Parodontax.

Annually, 1 in every 600 children in Pakistan are born with cleft lips and palates. In most cases, these children face difficulty in eating, speaking and breathing and are subjected to social stigma. The partnership between Haleon Pakistan and Smile Train will help children born with cleft lips/palates  to lead full and productive lives, achieving their own potential and contributing to their community.

Smile Train provides training and education to local medical professionals and supports 100%-free cleft surgery and comprehensive cleft care to children all over the world including orthodontics, speech therapy and psychosocial support.

The partnership between Haleon Pakistan and Smile Train was announced at a press event  in Karachi. Panelists at the event included Farhan Haroon, CEO and General Manager of Haleon Pakistan, Professor Dr. Mirza Shehab Afzal Beg, MBBS, FRCS (Ire), FRCS Plastic Surgery UK and Ire), Ms. Amina Mujib Khan, Integrative Nutrition Health Coach & Weightloss Consultant, and Ms. Hima Raza, a makeup artist whose child was born with a cleft lip.

The partnership, powered through Oral Care brands, Sensodyne and Parodontax, will identify and support eligible patients. APNS General Council Holds Its Meeting At APNS House

On March 20, 2023, the APNS General Council convened its Annual Meeting at APNS House in Karachi, during which Nazafreen Saigol Lakhani was unanimously elected as President. Imtinan Shahid was chosen as Senior Vice President, Muhammad Aslam Kazi as Vice President, Sarmad Ali as Secretary General, S.M. Munir Jilani as Joint Secretary, and Shahab Zuberi as Finance Secretary of the Society.”

The AGM was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Sarmad Ali, President of the Society. The Council unanimously approved the report of the Executive Committee for the year 2022-2023 as well as the Annual Accounts of the Society for the year 2022.

The General Council attended by 128  members from across the country, formed an Election Commission headed by Dr. Waqar Yousuf Azeemi with  Nasir Daad Baloch  and Mumtaz Ahmed Phulpoto as members. The Election Commission conducted the election of the Executive Committee for the year 2023-24.

The AGM in a resolution, expressed its profound concern on the state of print media due to the present economic situation which has caused severe financial crisis for newspapers, many of them are at the verge of collapse. In this situation, the media expected support from the government to brave the financial crunch. The AGM urged upon the Federal Government to pay the long outstanding dues of newspaper industry amounting to over Rs.2 billion, increase the quantum of advertisements and allocate a separate share of print media in the advertising budget so that the newspaper industry would be able to survive in the present situation. The AGM reiterated that the Federal Government has not yet implemented the recommendation of 8th Wage Board to increase the government advertising rates in proportion increase in the wages despite various assurances.

EBM Emphasises The Value Of Females Education

In Karachi on 21st March 2023, in Pakistan’s basic and secondary schools, there are about 70% female teachers. To reach the aim of universal primary education by 2030, Pakistan must boost the growth rate of primary school teachers by 50%, according to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

This incredibly moving film honoring the wonderful female teachers who toil relentlessly to improve Pakistan’s future was released by EBM on International Women’s Day. The movie emphasized the enormous influence of these professors, who not only transfer knowledge to their pupils but also build values, ethics, and character in them. Teachers are the backbone of society and aid in determining the future of the country because of their nurturing and loving character. The movie provided a potent reminder that we must continue to promote and celebrate women since educating them affects entire generations.

To its credit, EBM is making every effort to give boys and girls equal chances, and as a matter of policy, it only supports institutions where boys and girls are equally represented. In partnership with the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and the Rashid Memorial Welfare Organization project (RMWO), EBM has established two school campuses for boys and girls in Swabi, which will start operating in August 2023. Moreover, EBM helps GCT’s network of schools, which serves 29,000 kids in 160+ distant sites throughout rural and urban Sindh. They have also contributed to the adoption of The Citizen Foundation (TCF) schools and the TCF Agahi Adult Literacy Program, which aims to teach the families of TCF students the fundamentals of literacy and numeracy. Other partnerships for upcoming teacher training programs are also being developed by EBM.

Previously as well, one of the former employees of Aiman and Minal Khan’s closet exposed their abusive behavior and shared her worst experience while working there.

She wrote: “I started working at AnM closet in June. They hired me as a social media manager and a content writer. Everything seemed okay until I went to a shoot with them and realized how trashy both sisters are with other people. They’re extremely disrespectful towards everyone, don’t know how to talk, and treat their employees like shit. I was never their fan nor did I like them so I treated them like I would treat any other person and that pissed them a lot.”

She added, “They delayed the salaries, and had no concept of boundaries. (Minal used to text me at legit 2 am or 9 am and she would get really pissed if I didn’t respond on time). They made our lives hell on weekends, off days, and late nights and legit treated everyone in the office like trash. They’re so used to living a sponsored life. They couldn’t even provide basic stuff to their employees (literally like chai etc).”

ACCA Analysis Says Accounting Profession Is Crucial To Address Green Finance Challenge

Access to green financing can be a lifeline for businesses at a time when having access to more affordable funding is more important than ever for an organization’s long-term survival. Yet, ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) recently conducted research that showed businesses claim they are unaware of the prospects for climate financing and risk management in Lahore on 21st March 2023, A missed opportunity exists because 59% of respondents to the Global Economic Conditions Survey Q2 2022 claimed they are not contemplating utilizing green finance solutions.

With lenders increasingly offering attractive ‘green rates’ to organizations able to meet sustainability requirements, green finance is cheap capital that can keep businesses in business. Professional accountants’ ability to understand the green finance options needed for the transition to net zero is key to equipping organizations with this expertise. Having the skills to consider non-financial as well as financial business drivers will also leave the profession well-placed to lead in training staff and developing the talent needed for enabling transformation and embedding sustainability.

Report author, ACCA senior subject manager – sustainability, Emmeline Skelton said: “Green finance is part of the fundamental narrative of ACCA’s research program on net zero transition and the role of the accountancy profession. In a world where key stakeholders are demanding more from companies and their net zero objectives, green finance is fast becoming a hot topic for the finance profession as it explores financing options. The profession needs upskilling, especially in volatile times, where access to capital including green finance is crucial for an organization’s long-term survival.”

John Lelliott OBE FCCA, Non-executive Director of the Environment Agency and ACCA Sustainability Global Forum Chair said: “The accountancy and finance profession’s knowledge and skills in evolving market trends, stakeholder requirements, and regulatory changes, will be key to transforming organizations to operate in a net zero economy.” 

The timing of this research, according to Assad Hameed Khan, head of ACCA Pakistan, is appropriate given Pakistan’s shaky economic situation. By integrating sustainability into all of their operations, organizations can gain a competitive edge through green financing. Social equality, economic viability, and environmental protection continue to intersect with sustainability on a long-term basis.

According to a number of complaints that had been made with the health monitoring service Down Detector, OpenAI’s well-known artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot ChatGPT has purportedly ceased to function for its customers everywhere in the world. Many complaints have been made on the website about ChatGPT and GPT 4 claiming that the chatbot is unresponsive and continually loads. The website addressing problems with OpenAI products had “outage on chat.openai.com” written on it, and there had been a number of incidences in recent days.

Arçelik Invests In Pakistani Technology And Creates Global R&D Centre At NUST

In Islamabad on March 20, 2023, the National University of Science and Technology in Pakistan serves as the second R&D center for Dawlance’s parent business, Arçelik (NUST). Arçelik is the second-largest producer in Europe, with operations in 53 nations, 83 subsidiary companies, and 30 R&D facilities worldwide.

Arçelik manufactures cutting-edge home appliance items using cutting-edge technologies in nine different countries. Arçelik opened an R&D center in Karachi for fostering innovations in Pakistan in 2017, shortly after buying Dawlance, and it is now investing again to open an Arcelik Global Research & Development (R&D) Center at the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) in Islamabad to speed up its market expansion efforts in Pakistan. The president of Koç Holding Consumer Durables Group, Dr. Fatih Kemal Ebiçliolu, the pro-rector of NUST RIC, Air vice-marshal (retired) Dr. Rizwan Riaz, the chief production and technology officer of Arçelik, Nihat Bayz, the CEO of Dawlance, Umer Ahsan Khan, and Pakistani officials were all present at the ceremony to inaugurate the new R&D center.

This historic agreement was inked at the NUST University in Islamabad by the Chief Executive Officer of Dawlance (Pakistan), Mr. Umer Ahsan Khan, and the Pro-Rector of RIC, Air Vice Marshal (Retired) Dr. Rizwan Riaz. With the help of this effort, highly skilled engineers will train young people in contemporary skill sets to produce a workforce that is competitive in Pakistan.

In the inauguration, Dr. Fatih Ebiçlioğlu, President of Consumer Durables at the parent company of Arcelik – Koç Holding, stated that “Consistently creating value for our stakeholders, expanding and diversifying our global reach, and putting our customers first are the pillars of Koc Holding’s vision. We see Pakistan as a key developing market for local manufacturing, R&D, and future export hubs. Pakistan is a very high-potential country in information technologies and is well on track to become a leader in STEM. We believe that the R&D center in NUST will serve the strategic national objective of the country. Focusing on software development, this R&D center, marking first among our 30 R&D centers of Arçelik, will support the needs of all Arcelik subsidiaries worldwide”. 

Because of its expertise in research and development (R&D) and dedication to creating sustainable, cutting-edge, smart, digital home solutions, Arçelik holds a prominent position in the worldwide home appliance sector. New products made available to Pakistani consumers guarantee up to 50% energy savings, environmental sustainability, and preservation of the planet’s ecology for future generations. While Nature Lock technology extends the life of veggies, decreasing food waste and costs to consumers, Vitamin Fresh technology in refrigerators increases vitamin retention in the fruits and vegetables in crispers. Special washing cycles in Aqua Smart technology help save water. The entire infrastructural & running cost of this venture will be managed by the Arçelik team. Horacio Llorens, a Spanish paragliding and paramotor athlete who competes for Red Bull, brought the PSL’s eighth season to a thrilling conclusion with a magnificent aerial maneuver. Horacio Llorens displayed the beauty of Pakistan in a manner that had never been done before as he flew above the city’s most recognizable landmarks.

A captivating video that was shown during the closing ceremony gave the audience a one-of-a-kind and unforgettable experience as he flew above the Ravi River, the Lahore Fort, the Badshahi Mosque, and the Minar-e-Pakistan.

Horacio Llorens, a Spanish paramotor athlete, presented the audience with a sight they had never seen before as the host highlighted his accomplishments as a ten-time world champion and Guinness World Record holder. A disturbance in the skies attracted the crowd’s attention. That was none other than Llorens paramotoring above the stadium, much to the pleasure of the fans.
