A South Korean news publication has announced that the famous iPhone manufacturer Apple will be investing billions of dollars into KIA Motors to produce an Apple Car. It will formally be finalized on February 17th. And the formal contract is reportedly going to promise the production of 100,000 vehicles yearly. They will start rolling out from 2024. Once the process has been streamlined, it will further expand the capacity four times more.
Apple Car – a thing of now?
The journey to having its own car has been a long one for Apple. At first, they wanted to make a car from the basic level. But it did not fruit result, and they decided to abandon the idea for some time and focus on software more. It’s been six years since then.

But let’s backtrack a bit to the part where they wanted to design their own car. As part of their design, the battery they intended for was to reduce the cost meanwhile increasing its range significantly.
Kia Apple Details
This new car will have a range of 300 miles when fully charged, and a five-minute charge will take you 60 miles. Moreover, the speed can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in less than 3.5 seconds. And the highest speed it can achieve is 160 miles per hour. Ming-Chi Kuo, the Apple expert, has mentioned that these configurations are of a high-performance car.
It is also being said that the Apple car might have a feature that was included in iPhone 12 Pro last year. this was so because Apple was found talking to the suppliers of that feature. It is called the lidar sensors, and it will be used to scan distances.
Moreover, according to the Apple design, the battery will probably be made from Lithium Iron Phosphate because it is safer than other lithium-ion batteries that overheat a lot. The design by the iPhone makers is of a mono-cell design that will consume lesser space now that pouches and modules are not necessary.

The identical twins Aiman and Minal Khan made their entry into the showbiz industry together. Initially, it was hard for their fans to distinguish between them, but over time each has proved her talent for acting. The two have owned their status of celebrity and stay in the celeb news quite often. Case in point being ‘quite long wedding functions of Aiman.
Minal Khan and Ahsan
Another time was when Minal Khan posted a picture on her Instagram with her celeb boyfriend (as their pictures have made obvious), and Pakistanis lost their cool.
Amongst the lectures on cultural values and religious values, Minal and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram had to hear lots of criticisms all over social media. Safe to say, most of them have still not approved of their relationship. But what do they care? If they are happy, then nothing else matters.
Anyway, Minal Khan took to Instagram sharing a picture of hers at Côte Rôtie, located in Alliance Francaise, Karachi. Sitting in the sun with a glass of orange juice, she captioned it, “Taking Vitamin C and vitamin D together.”
And we all know (here I am assuming that we actually do), sun translates into vitamin D, and orange translates into vitamin C.
She looks absolutely dazzling in the sunlight. While her fans admired it, Ahsan Mohsin Ikram also commented. He said, “& most importantly vitamin A.”
Scientifically, you can get vitamin A from animals. They can be dairy products, fish, and meat. But obviously, Ahsan didn’t mean that. It was his way of being cheeky. In actuality, by A, he meant himself.
And Minal replied to him, saying, “carrying with me.”
Did that mean she was there with him?
Pakistanis commenting on their conversation
But that’s not the point. The point is that Pakistanis were cringing at what they read.
We have a right to our opinion definitely. That said, we should also be cautious about what we say because we can hurt someone. And that’s never nice, is it?

SINGAPORE — 4 FEBRUARY 2021 — foodpanda today announced the launch of its 150th pandamart in Asia. With its first store launched in Singapore in October 2019, pandamart, foodpanda’s grocery cloud store network, has since been rolled out to 40 cities, across eight markets in the region — Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Pakistan and the Philippines. With this milestone, foodpanda now operates Asia’s largest network of cloud grocery stores, providing consumers with easy access to more than 4,000 grocery and household products, delivered within 25 minutes.
Operating the cloud store concept with pandamart
pandamart cloud stores are purpose-built for deliveries only, with no walk-in retail storefront. Technology and data intelligence form the foundation of every pandamart — from determining its location, to the products carried in each store and how inventory is arranged within the space for maximum picking efficiency, so groceries and household essentials can be efficiently packed and delivered on-demand to consumers. Products available via pandamart include household essentials from global brands like P&G and Unilever, as well as fresh produce from local grocers. pandamart also carries plant-based and sustainably-grown produce and products on the platform.

The global pandemic has changed the way people obtain food, groceries and other daily essentials. Research firm Forrester 1 reported that grocery is the fastest-growing category in the APAC region, with the adoption of online grocery services expected to grow 30% from 2019 to 2024 and online penetration doubling from 5.1% in 2020, to 10.6% in 2024.
This trend corresponds with the surge in consumer demand that foodpanda saw on its platform. Across the region, the number of first-time customers ordering groceries via foodpanda more than doubled between the first and second half of 2020 — a trend that continues to grow in 2021. The goal for relatively newer markets like Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh, Pakistan and the Philippines is to make pandamart available to consumers nationwide. This has already been achieved in Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong where the service was launched earlier.
A regional look at how pandamart leverages technology for accessibility, variety and speed
With location intelligence and data trend insights, pandamart locations are strategically chosen to make grocery deliveries accessible to communities for both major cities and suburban areas.
In Malaysia, pandamart became an essential service when the Movement Control Order (MCO) went into effect earlier this year, with grocery orders increasing by almost 70% in the single month of January 2021. Recognising the importance of supporting local food producers, pandamart worked with local partners to source more than 60% of products in Malaysia, offering consumers locally-produced products such as vegetables and soft drinks.
Across the Causeway, pandamart in Singapore offers one of the largest variety of products across the region, with some cloud stores stocking over 5,000 unique products. In addition to groceries and household essentials, Singapore’s pandamart also carries unique offerings from well-loved homegrown SME brands such as Ooh Mala Chips, Ice Cream Cookie Co., Prima Taste and more. With an increasing number of consumers seeking plant-based meat alternatives, pandamart Singapore also offers products from Impossible Foods, Beyond Meat and Quorn.
In Pakistan where 24/7 on-demand grocery delivery is relatively new, pandamart offers a convenient option for consumers to receive their essentials delivered to their doorsteps quickly and safely. On average, pandamart deliveries in Pakistan are completed in under 20 minutes.
Shaping new grocery shopping preferences
To meet fast-changing consumer needs and preferences, foodpanda has invested to grow its q-commerce, or quick commerce, offerings. Beyond its core food delivery vertical, foodpanda is accelerating the rollout of pandamart and foodpanda shops in partnership with retailers, to offer consumers greater convenience, speed and variety.
“Launching 150 pandamart across 40 cities in the midst of a pandemic was no easy task, but foodpanda realised the critical importance in bringing our consumers what they really needed quickly and safely, especially during times of movement constraints,” said Abhishek Sahay, Director of New Verticals at foodpanda. “Now that we’re operating in eight markets, our goal in 2021 is to take pandamart into more cities within our existing markets, plus launch pandamart in all 12 operating markets by the end of 2021.”
Pakistan just got another reason to be proud of its budding youth as one of our very own has been recognized by the United Nations!
Youth Ambassador
The Youth Ambassador position in the UN elevates the youth voice in the global discourse of international relations. This position previously has also been occupied by none other than Malala Yousafzai. This year, Aliza Ayaz has been selected as a United Nations Youth Ambassador for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Aliza Ayaz has more achievements under her belt as she is also the first-ever international representative at the UK House of Lords.
More About The Star Student
Aliza Ayaz was born in Dubai and has lived most of her life in the Middle East. Before she moved to London for higher studies, she lived in Karachi. As it goes, she has also remained a student of the prestigious Karachi Grammar School.
Currently, Ayaz is enrolled in University College London for her bachelor’s degree. It seems this girl has always been on the go and has used this to her advantage!
Aliza’s Forte
The 22-year-old is a climate activist who is invested in building relationships to mitigate climate crises. She closely works on client-specific issues with the UK Government to provide optimal solutions for environmental and cultural diversity, a need of the hour.
Her professional experience also includes employment with the renowned McKinsey & Company. At this MNC, she developed analytical tools to provide insights and evidence that encourage decision-making for health and environment-related subjects.

Being as successful as she is, Ayaz was still shocked to have been selected by the UN. She expressed her gratitude on LinkedIn, “I. CAN’T. BELIEVE. IT. I have been appointed as the United Nations youth ambassador to help promote their SDG’s! Turning twenty-two has been characterized by perpetually asking myself if there is anything significant about this age other than a tired association with graduating. But that is, perhaps, a very shallow reflection of what will InshAllah be a transformative year.”
In February 2020, BPF also proudly sponsored Aliza’s trip to the United Nations World Urban Forum, where she delivered the keynote address on diverse climate action.
Educate Your Girls
Aliza Ayaz is just another stellar example of why promoting females’ education is especially important in a developing country like Pakistan. With dismally low statistics about female education, it is time we start paying heed to this matter. After all, who runs the world?

I never thought you would read an article with a title like this, huh? Me neither. But unfortunately, we live in times where anything is possible. With the world being under the threat of a World War 3 due to US Iran tensions last year to instantly going into lockdown in March 2020, while TikToks of people dancing to songs with #SavageChallenge and #ToosieSlide were going viral; It felt as if we were living in a Black Mirror Simulation.
The year even prompted Netflix to make a satirical movie titled “Death To 2020,” which dealt with events in that cursed timeline.
The Weirdness Did Not End With 2020
Despite the year 2020 coming to an end, the first month of 2021 was not short of any surprises. With the civil-ware-type pictures emerging from the protests taking place at the Capitol in the United States that were allegedly predicted by the Simpsons, to the President of the United States, who is considered as one of the most important people of the world, getting banned from all of the social media; it feels as if it has been months since the year 2021 started.
Last week, a group of Redditors collectively decided to screw with Wall Street and turned the market against them, which prompted a lot of out-cry from billionaires who would turn a blind eye to their own tyrannical actions. The incident led to many memes and dollars for those who took part in the ordeal and while many celebrated on social media.
A picture of an Amazon Headquarters resurfaced on the internet, which prompted many people to refer to the building as a giant poop made of glass with undigested peanuts clinging onto it.
The giant building is reported to cost $2.5 billion, as per CNN. Still, Rani Molla, a senior journalist at VOX, shared how identical it looked to a poop, making her one of the first prominent journalists to give this reaction.
The building is set to be constructed in Arlington County, Virginia, and as per Amazon, will be open for public visitors for at least 2 days a week. A huge majority of the public has referred to the building as a giant poop (if you missed the title). We are yet to see what the building would look like from the inside, even though we’re personally more excited about how it’ll smell from the inside.
Jeff Bezos Stepping Down As The CEO of Amazon
With Jeff Bezos stepping down as the CEO of Amazon and the company being referred to as a giant turd the next day, what is funnier is how the richest person of modern history would be laughing his way to the bank while we chuckle at the design of his company’s Headquarters which costs $2.5 billion while his employees are fighting for what they are rightfully owed.
Amazon was fined $62 million for allegedly stealing delivery driver tips from workers.
For comparison: Jeff Bezos made *1000 times* more than that during the pandemic.
Though time will tell what 2021 has in store for us, it does seem that the timeline we are currently breathing under is not running out of weirdness anytime soon.

Pakistan People’s Party’s senior member and Former Interior Minister Rehman Malik got the public’s attention once again after an incident that took place yesterday. The Former Minister was challenged and taunted by his political rivals for misreading Surah e Ikhlas over ten years ago.
Background Story Of The Incident Involving Rehman Malik
Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz’s Senator Javed Abbasi had introduced a bill to make Arabic a compulsory language for students to be taught in educational institutes. Jamaat e Islami and JUI- F supported the bill, but Pakistan People’s Party opposed it and objected to the bill.
What could have been a healthy discussion and debate on the importance of learning new languages turned into a quarrel when Deputy Chairman of Senate, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, taunted Rehman Malik and recalled an old incident of him being unable to recite Surah e Ikhlaas back in 2010. The Deputy Chairman took it even a step further and said that the Former senator might have many degrees but cannot recite the Quranic verses.
Upon hearing a decade-old incident brought to the limelight again for political point-scoring, Rehman Malik took it as a challenge and recited the Surah again, which, unfortunately, he misread again.
After this series of personal attacks, the bill was passed to make Arabic a compulsory language taught in schools. The details in the bill reveal that Arabic is supposed to be taught from first to fifth grade, whereas the grammar should be emphasized upon from sixth to eleventh grade.
A potential healthy debate about the importance of learning new languages turned into a series of personal attacks and faith-testing. While no one has the right to perform a litmus test on someone’s faith, the importance of learning a new language for the sake of your religion or to communicate with others should be encouraged. Learning a new language is like opening a new window for yourself whether one wants to read & explore literature, wants to educate himself on religion, or wants to communicate.

There are quite a few things that are given to the people by the government. After all, dictatorship aside, who is it that provides the government with power? They are allowed to lead a country by the people and it comes down to them as a responsibility to lead. The people put their trust in another, hoping that the person delivers on their word.
There are many types of governments present in the world. Each one runs on its principle and has its own set of rules they abide by. Reading history, there is much to learn from rising powers like communism.
What made them rise so fast in that side of the world? In light of government, the Punjab government has started a scheme for its employees. Yes, it is quite an interesting one and allows access to every one enrolled within the government.
The Pakistani Government:
As we all are aware, the Pakistan government is divided into various sections. Karachi comes under the Sindh government sector, whereas cities like Lahore and Sialkot enter Punjab government territory. As such, the party that has won from these areas operates as the leading one in them. Under the tenure of our last Prime Minister, it is said that quite a lot of development was done in Lahore.
Now, under another Prime Minister, the Punjab Government has launched a new scheme for its employees. This scheme involves being able to purchase a vehicle. Here, the person alone will not be taking the full load of the vehicle purchase. Instead, the cost will be adjusted by the Punjab Government.
A New Scheme:
Imagine you are an employee who is working for the Punjab government. Alongside working this job, you have a dream. This dream shows that you wish to own your car. However, many times, vehicles can be quite expensive to buy in Pakistan. A one-time payment may not be the way to go here. So what do you do? Well, under this scheme, the government will help you pay for it through installments!
What happens is you pick a car and decide to buy it. Then, the government will make an initial down payment on your behalf. They will proceed to complete that down payment and form an installment plan.
Now, those installments will be deducted from the employee’s monthly salary. After the installments are complete, the employee will have full ownership of the car. Maybe this can be a Changan Alsvin, KIA Picanto, or Toyota Corolla.

New Horizons:
This scheme can be quite beneficial for the government as well as the people. Not many details of the project are known yet, but we will update you as more information will be released. Pakistan State Bank lowered interest rates to 7% last year, so this scheme can be significant.
With this being launched, we may even soon see more cars in the cities of Punjab. Who knows, maybe you are one of the lucky ones to come under the requirements of this deal.

During the meeting of the Standing Committee on Science and Technology, Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry announced the biggest scholarship for Pakistani students. This scholarship will accommodate students all the way from matric to Ph.D. The meeting was headed by Senator Mushtaq Ahmed, where the announcement took place.
Details of the scholarship
The details for the biggest scholarship entailed that ten toppers from matriculation will be selected from every district. All of them will be getting PKR 10,000 each per month. A total of PKR 13 billion have been allocated, making it the best scholarship in Pakistan. The Minister for Science and Technology said it would be launched this very year.

This is yet another attempt at motivating students to continue higher education, considering in our country, the literacy rate is relatively low. Especially in the lower classes where instead of studying, people prefer doing jobs, going up to the matriculation level is considered the most that they could do.
So in such a situation where people have the talent and want to study but are not able to given the financial constraints, they will be able to do it. Through the stipend they receive every month, they will be able to take care of their expenses.
Moreover, since it is not a one-time thing, they will get this amount every month. And this will give them the motivation to be on the toppers list in the following standard as well.

Pakistan’s only professional bike racer Muhammad Usman Ghani started the 2021/22 season with a podium finish representing Pakistan at the Waleed Al Shemais National Sportsbike Championship at Dubai Autodrome.
In the first race of the season 2021/22 featuring international racers, he could finish P3. “I had been preparing for this race form past week after my motorbike arrived. I had to make a lot of changes to get it smooth during the race,” said Ghani. “Still, my bike had some electrical issues in the last three laps that made me end P3; otherwise, I would have finished P2.”
He further added that the race was one of the toughest in his career, and he had to defend hard to keep his position. “I put my best to defend my third position. I was able to do that because of the practice and track days that I had during the past week,” he said.
In the second race of the same championship, Usman had a crash while making a turn due to a motorbike’s technical failure. “I was doing well in the second race, but then all of a sudden motorbike had a failure, and I crashed. Just had a minor injury in the right arm,” he said.
The 27-year-old Ghani had been representing Pakistan in the international circuits for the past three years. He is the only professional sports bike racer who is the Pakistani to gain a Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) Race License and is also a certified coach.
In the three years since Ghani has also won 10 Podium finishes overall – P3 in the last championship and P3 in Rookie Championship in his first year. He also became the first-ever Pakistani who could strike back-to-back podium finishes in the SuperStock Championship based on piloting the MotoTech Yamaha R6.
Talking about Pakistan’s representation in the international races, he said, “Currently, I am the only one with Pakistan’s flag on the racing suit in the races. I want to see more racers in the future. I had been to Pakistan lately, and I have seen many talents there who don’t have the opportunity to display their skills.”
He added that as there is no racing track in Pakistan, the racers don’t have a place to race professionally and end up taking on the road. “I aim to help the government and the private investors to build Pakistan’s first-ever multi-purpose track that can be used for a different type of races,” he said.
Explaining the need for the track in Pakistan, he said, “The talented racers in Pakistan are either racing or dying while racing on the road. Racing on the road and without a helmet is not safe. The bikers in Pakistan are quick and talented, but they need a platform to showcase their skills.”

Tie-n-dye has been one of the most prominent trends in the fashion industry in the past season. It seems the trend is not on its way out any time soon because our favourite fashion icon is still supporting it. How incredible is this fusion look?
Organza sarees have also become a hot favourite amongst saree lovers. There’s something to the structure there is in organza which is complemented by its sheer look and fall. Here she adorns one of Rehmat Ajmal’s iconic pieces:
This look is close to her heart and we can totally see why! This saree is fit for a perfect event because of its one-of-a-kind look. We would have never thought black would look so phenomenal against a splash of colours.
Ayesha Omer opted for this classic-meets-contemporary look on a showcase of Elan’s bridal collection. It’s as if her taste in sarees only keeps getting better— we love the shimmery detail complementing the regal look of a jewel-toned satin look.
Block-printing is very popularly loved style in eastern wear but seeing it adapted in a saree is rare. Ayesha Omer shows us how to do it right in this simple yet festive look.
If you were ever wondering how a saree can be made perfect for a grand event, look no further. This Shehla Chatoor ensemble is a dream come true in terms of colours and textures. It’s neutral, has a pop of colour and has a frilled border: it’s to-die-for!
A black saree can never go out of style and there is nothing more attractive than a black saree done right. Alas, its Ayesha Omer we’re talking about, it was done right. Notice how the ombre look in such contrasting shades is executed so well. Plus, she always nails her hair and make-up too!
Are we sensing trouble in paradise with Agha Ali and Hina Altaf?
A Couple Like No Other
Aagha Ali and Hina Altaf are truly a couple like no other. Both are great actors who are successful in their own right and their union is just as incredible. The netizens, however, might disagree over this as after Aagha Ali’s fat-shaming incident, the couple’s reputation has been tarred.

Aagha Ali’s Not Too Happy
Now it seems that there might be more trouble stirring in paradise with these two. Hina Altaf posted a picture of herself in an over-sized T-shirt which she captioned with “comfy shirt”. People sensed though that this must be Aagha Ali as he was not only tagged but he also added the face-palm emoji in the comments!
But that is not all… the T-shirt fiasco continued further. A video of the two emerged in which Aagha Ali is taunting his wife by saying she looks good. To make matters clear, he asks her to show people the shirt she’s wearing!
It’s Never Ending!
It seems these antics of Hina Altaf are never-ending. That green shirt is not the only one she’s stolen. Here’s the other!
This video gained popularity because of Hina Altaf’s humorous answer which clearly even confused Aagha Ali. When her husband remarks “this is MY T-shirt”, she nonchalantly and carelessly replied, “this is a cotton T-shirt”.
This response has divided the internet as several laughs at how ridiculous the response is while others get annoyed. The general reaction aside, can we focus on the incredulous face Aagha Ali makes?! We’ve all made this face around our friends— we feel you, Aagha

Ali!
The Unpleasant Comments
The comment section, however, was not all too humoured by this response. Many are finding this duo’s antics intolerable because they just won’t stop. All we have to say about that is if we’re not going to live and let live especially after going through a pandemic, when will we?

Annoying Habits
Recently after their marriage, Aagha Ali also spilled some secrets pertaining to their relationship. When he was asked whether Hina Altaf does something that is annoying, he knew exactly what he would talk about!
Apparently, Hina Altaf tends to lose her glasses “10 times during the day” which her husband has to find each of those 10 times. It also seems this is a daily problem! She won’t learn to take care of them and he won’t stop helping her find them. Cute or simply annoying?

Some brands started their music products, and people loved them. Seeing their success, others must have thought to try their luck in this industry as well. So it was only a matter of time when they ventured into it. As expected, McDonald’s announced last night that they will be launching their own version of music product, McDonald’s Rap Battle.
McDonald’s Rap Battle
The date McDonald’s Pakistan has provided on their Twitter account is Kashmir Day, February 5th, 2021.
One thing brands need to realize is that audience is not stupid. They see the pattern and make the connection. So they were quick to pick up on it and comment how they found McDonald’s as a trend follower.
Well, we won’t comment on whether McDonald’s is just following others or not. But Twitterati found this initiative very unoriginal and lacking creativity. And they were ready to point it out.
Interestingly, even upon seeing so many questions, McDonald’s has not responded on why they felt the need to do so.
McDonald’s may not have been creative, but Twitterati definitely is when it comes to making memes.
Twitter Memes
The Twitter memes used everything, from the funny ad visuals to movie scenes to old memes that went viral in the past.
Pakistani fans will be allowed to witness the live matches of the sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) as National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has allowed 30% attendance at both National Stadium of Karachi and Gaddafi Stadium.
PSL season six is just around the corner, and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has good news for the fans who want to watch matches at the stadium.
Just a week back, PCB released a tender for the sale of tickets. To this, four private companies have acknowledged and expressed their engrossment. This has been done through applications sent to the country’s cricket board.
The play-offs and final of the last edition were held under closed stadium, while the ongoing home series against South Africa also saw no attendance in the sands.
However, PCB put up a request to NCOC to allow a certain number of people into the stadium. NCOC has responded to that request and has accepted it. It is speculated that this news will officially be made public on February 4.
In the early days of 2021, PCB had proceeded with a report for the printing and selling of international matches and PSL games.
PSL season is going to be held at Karachi and Lahore with 20 and 24 matches going to each city respectively starting from February 20.
[Update]: The drive-in cinema in Islamabad that was hyped to open up, did open up in F-9 Park. But now someone has filed a petition against it. It was filed in Islamabad High Court and Advocate Yasir Chaudhry was there on the petitioner’s behalf.
The Chief Justice has sent the case to the Capital Development Authority who have been asked to submit a written response after reviewing the petition.
The drive-in cinema was showing 6 shows a week; 2 shows every day from Friday to Sunday. But the petitioner has said that the commercial activities thanks to the cinema are polluting the area.
Pakistan already had a minimal number of cinemas in the country. With the reawakening of the film industry, people were just starting to open up to the idea of having more cinemas. But then, COVID arrived. And the resulting lockdown closed off the cinemas. Even though the lockdown eventually ended and services slowly opened up, but cinemas never did. This was because they were all in closed halls, so the chances of spreading the virus were higher.
COVID: What to do
But a life without entertainment, is that even life? What we mean to say is that COVID is here to stay, and it has dampened the joy in the world considerably. What we need, at this point, is something to lift our spirits. What we need is a bit of fun and entertainment. Now, the query was ‘how to find this entertainment in a COVID-filled atmosphere?’
Where there is a problem, there is a solution. As soon as the situation was presented, people started offering their own versions of solutions. So, where the cinema halls were concerned, people started opting for Drive-in cinemas. And so the drive-in cinema culture started returning to a somewhat degree. Some countries were quick to adopt them. Why? Because it ensures lesser human interaction. Only people you already have been interacting with are in the car with you, and others are in their own vehicles. So you do not have to be in the vicinity of a stranger; this protects you as well as them.
Drive-in Cinema
Hence, people started suggesting a similar idea in Pakistan as well.
Twitter user @Faizankhaan91 presented the idea that since one cannot have a big gathering inside the halls, how about shifting it outside. He, of course, was talking about Islamabad. According to his suggestion, vendors could be on the ground serving food while the audience sits in the car. And all they needed was a huge screen in F9 every weekend. He was addressing the DC office.
Sir given we have Covid-19 on the rise and there can’t be any big gathering in the city, how about DC office plan a car theatre every weekend in F9 until things are back to normal. Food vendors can put stalls and serve in car. Could be brilliant activity in Covid. @hamzashafqaatpic.twitter.com/bH1MgQ6xKy
And it is just absolutely lovely when people listen to you, isn’t it? The tweet trended and reached the person being addressed. Muhammed Hamza Shafqaat, DC Islamabad, a government official, responded to Faizan on the issue. He assured Faizan that they are already working on it and Islamabad will hopefully see a ‘car cinema’ next month, i.e., December.
Working on it. We plan to have a car cinema next month. Stay tuned 🎬 https://t.co/rx2ZcHDCZd
Some people were overjoyed at this tweet, while others were reminded of the time when Pakistan had numerous drive-in cinemas. Let’s hope all goes well and Islamabad gets to enjoy their own car/drive-in cinema.

Food is one constant in everyone’s life. Whoever you are, you have to make and eat food. Well, of course not if you are extremely rich and don’t even know where your kitchen is also if you are that kind of a man who strongly believes in society given gender roles. So we are going to assume that you actually do interact with food. So especially for you, here are 5 food hacks that made rounds on TikTok and might be worth trying.
1. Reverse straining the pasta
When you are making pasta, you have to boil it, and then strain the water by pouring the content from the pot into a strainer. After that, you pour cold water on it followed by putting the pasta back in the pot. An alternate way is reversely straining the pasta. In this, you put the sieve on top of the pot and tilt the pot so the water drains out from the pot but the pasta stays in. Saves two steps, doesn’t it?
2. Peeling a mango with a glass
Mangoes are the best amongst the fruits, are they not? And the best way to relish their taste completely is to properly peel them first so when you are eating, you don’t face any obstacles. But it’s just very hard to peel them the usual way. The unusual way, however, is quite easy. All you need to do is half the mango vertically. And then put the lower end of one side on to a glass edge. And just scoop it out!
3. Juice the lemon the right way
Squeezing the lemon adds rich flavor to any dish. But when you do it, all your hand gets sticky. The better way is to poke the lemon on one end with a fork. In that hole, insert a chopstick, or tooth stick, whatever you have available. It should go up to a 3-quarter length of the lemon. Make sure to widen the hole a little to maximize flow. Now, you just squeeze it. The juice won’t get on your hands and the extract will be seed-free. Thank me later. Well, thank the TikTok food hacks, but same difference.
4. Banana Bread Mug
This food hack allows you to make banana bread in a mug within 60 seconds. You mash half a banana, one-third cup of oat flour, 1 tbsp oat milk, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, half teaspoons of vanilla essence, baking powder, cinnamon. Add a pinch of salt, and 1 tablespoon of chopped walnuts, and shredded coconut. Put it in the microwave for 60 seconds, et voila!
5. Peeling boiled eggs
The hack that I knew for peeled boiled eggs was, hitting the boiled egg on its shell and then putting it in a glass. Shake the glass around and they say, the shell just comes off. Sometimes it’s perfect, other times it’s not. But the TikTok Food hacks showed another way.
You take a boiled egg and make a small hole on the top of the egg. At the bottom, you make a slightly larger hole. From the top hole, blow in the hole, the peeling will come right off.
