In a post-match press conference, Pakistan’s director, Mickey Arthur, shared his perspective on the atmosphere during the ICC World Cup 2023 match against India in Ahmedabad. He pointed out that the event seemed more like a bilateral series or a BCCI event than an ICC tournament.

Back to the Future II is a fan favorite. In fact, the entire trilogy is considered one of the best ones in the Sci-fi genre. It has defined the way that a lot of people look at time travel. To have a moving vehicle as the subject of time travel was a first to say. While the DeLorean itself was not a successful car and is widely considered a failure, it is iconic. This franchise made it highly iconic. However, the future that was shown in that film was quite extraordinary. Many of those technologies have not even been invented yet.

In the film, Doc and Marty went ahead to the future that was set in 2015. To us, 2015 passed more than seven years ago. However, so many items from that future are not here yet. While we might be headed towards such a thing soon, it has not been completely implemented yet. In the movie, there was a café which was managed by androids and not people. It featured AI posing as famous personalities and serving customers to their liking. There was not a single human working on the side of the counter.

We could see that there were barely any roads in the future that we were shown. While it may not be entirely possible to create such an infrastructure right now, we can certainly start working towards flying cars. Another aspect of the future we saw was a bite-size pizza being hydrated. It was put in a machine for a few seconds and came back out as a full-size pizza, all filled with toppings and cheese. It was perfectly cooked. Now that is the kind of technology that we would certainly love to see.

The movie is the epitome of sci-fi family fun, and we highly recommend going through the entire trilogy at least once.

Legal Action Launched Against Mohammad Rizwan For On-Field Prayer

An Indian lawyer has formally complained to the International Cricket Council (ICC) against Mohammad Rizwan, for offering prayer on the cricket field.

This marks the second complaint against Rizwan during the ongoing World Cup in India.

Prior to that, Mohammad Rizwan dedicated his match-winning century against Sri Lanka to the people of Gaza in light of the Israel-Hamas conflict. However, the ICC did not take any action in response to this act.

Advocate Vineet Jindal, from the Supreme Court of India, has now filed another complaint against Mohammad Rizwan. In his formal complaint to ICC Chairman Greg Barclay, Jindal stated, “This is a complaint about Pakistan Cricket Player, Mohammad Rizwan, who was seen offering namaz on the cricket field during his team’s opening match of the ongoing ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 on Friday (October 6) against the Netherlands in Hyderabad.”

Jindal argues that Rizwan’s act of offering prayers on the field, particularly in front of a mixed audience, goes against the spirit of sportsmanship. He further contends that this act raises questions about the player’s adherence to the spirit of the game and suggests a display of religious and political ideology.

This is not the first time Rizwan has been the subject of such a complaint. In 2021, he similarly offered prayers on the ground after Pakistan’s victory against India in the ICC T20 World Cup.

Advocate Vineet Jindal has urged the ICC to take strict action against Mohammad Rizwan. It’s worth noting that Jindal is the same lawyer who previously filed a complaint against Pakistan presenter Zainab Abbas for alleged “anti-Hindu” statements. Abbas, who was in India as a presenter for the ongoing ICC Men’s World Cup 2023, left the country on October 9, citing “personal reasons” according to the international cricket body.

The question of whether to opt for a grand, ‘nearly a dozen bridal outfits’ wedding or a more modest and intimate affair is entirely a personal one. But we were really thanking our lucky stars when there was a nationwide shift towards simpler weddings.

Even when COVID-19 was no longer a primary force behind the transition, celebrities like Pakistani model Eman Suleman and Neha Taseer normalised the concept of elegant simplicity— unlike those 11 nuptials and nine outfits Aiman Khan made headlines with, making the line between middle class and elites appear wider.

Now, Mahira Khan’s wedding has been one hot topic that had us hooked for a month now and we’re not even sure if the hype is ending anytime soon. The pre-match event which is specifically being held ahead of the Pakistan vs India match has failed to see any Pakistani artist in sight. Meanwhile, ‘X’ users have also highlighted this as a problem since there was no official ceremony for the World Cup event itself.

Concerns regarding the treatment of Pakistani artists became apparent when reports emerged that the BCCI had allegedly delayed the issuance of visas to Pakistani journalists, who were aiming to cover the significant cricket event.

Babar Khan Discusses Sana Khan’s Death For The First Time on Television

The tragic death of actress and model Sana Khan four years back shook the entire showbiz industry of Pakistan. Her untimely demise was heartbreaking as she had just started off her married life with beau Babar Khan.

The couple met a tragic car accident on National Highway where Babar Khan faced life-threatening injuries and Sana sadly lost her life. The actor Babar Khan later married Bisma Khan in 2015 soon after recovering from the accident.

The actor left showbiz and was seen for the first time on television on Geo Entertainment’s morning show with Shahista Lodhi. However, what went on during the broadcast caused viewers to raise their concerns on the insensitive questions Shahista was asking Babar.

The video clips of Sana and Babar’s wedding kept playing on the show, and what is more, there were photo frames of Sana Khan hanging on the morning show set.

Babar spoke about the depression he faced and the trauma he experienced after her death. He also spoke about the suicide attempt he made due to the severe depression he suffered from.

The constant reminders Shahista gave to Babar throughout the show were uncalled for and seemed quite insensitive keeping the situation in mind.

Babar Khan’s family that included his mother, second wife, and two kids joined the show and shared their side of the traumatic experience and how the family recovered later on.

What irked viewers the most is the discussion of the late Sana Khan in front of Bisma Khan who is now Babar’s second wife.

Shahista then asked Bisma how she accepted the marriage to Babar Khan and pinpointed the various issues she must have experienced during the early days of her wedding. 

The morning show host also dared to ask Babar whether he had expressed love for his second wife, in her presence. It must have made her uncomfortable and put her in an awkward spot.

We expected Shahista to show a little compassion, knowing this was the first time the family had appeared on a live television show since the traumatic experience.

Dalda Foods Committed To Advancing The Agriculture Science On Local Oil Seed Cultivation To Reduce The Import Bill Of Edible Oils

A meeting was held in Lahore with Mr. Gohar Ijaz, Federal Minister for Commerce and Industries and Mr. S. M. Tanveer, Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce with Mr. M. Bashir Janmohammed, Chairman, Dalda Foods Limited, Board Members and Chief Executive Officer of Dalda Foods Limited.

Minister of Commerce Mr. Gohar Ijaz and Mr. S. M. Tanveer welcomed the Chairman and Board and appreciated the company’s performance specially it being 100% documented company in Pakistan.

The Chairman, Dalda Foods Mr. Bashir Janmohammed thanked Mr. Gohar Ijaz and Mr. S. M. Tanveer for conducting the meeting with the Directors.  The Chairman and Member of Board pointed out the difficulties faced in procuring local Edible Oil i.e. Rapeseed Oil and Cotton Seed Oil as most of the business conducted is undocumented, therefore, Dalda share in purchase of local oil is minimum.

The Minister assured the Board that he will look into it.  The Federal Minister of Commerce emphasized that Pakistan cannot afford around $ 5.00 billion for the import of Edible Oils in future.  Hence, he requested Dalda Foods as the leader in Edible Oil Industry should take initiative in Oilseed cultivation.

Mr. Perwaiz Khan, Senior Director, Dalda Foods Limited stated that Dalda Foods already have a research center in Gharo where we have done research for maximizing yield per acre of oilseed cultivation and have also helped farmers in this connection. It was agreed that the agriculture department of Punjab government and Dalda Foods research team will exchange their experience for increasing the yield.

The Minister said they will facilitate getting land from Punjab Board of Revenue for Dalda Foods Limited for oilseed cultivation, Minister emphasized that a serious effort should be made by Dalda Foods for obtaining land from government for oil seed cultivation.

The Minister asked the Chairman, Dalda Foods to form a committee to put the matter further for acquiring land sharing expertise to meet and negotiate with Agriculture Department and Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab who will identify the land and will assist in this matter.

A Committee was formed with Mr. Inam Bari, Director, Dalda Foods to discuss the matter with the Agriculture Ministry of Punjab and Senior Member Board of Revenue Punjab.

Board assured that they realize the importance of local cultivation and will do their utmost to work on this immediately.

The meeting concluded with a consensus on the need to further advance the agriculture science on boosting oilseed yield per acre, identify suitable areas of land for potential corporate farming effort and providing incentives and facilities to attract local farmers towards oilseed cultivation.

How it Works

Responsible Use and Limitations

In a blog post, Hema Budaraju from Google emphasized the company’s commitment to responsible image generation. The tool will not create images that violate Google’s prohibited use policy for generative AI. This policy aims to prevent misuse, such as generating inappropriate or offensive content.

Furthermore, every image generated through SGE will include metadata labels and embedded watermarking to indicate that they were created by AI. During the initial stage, Google is restricting the tool from generating photorealistic faces or any content involving notable individuals. While Google hasn’t definitively confirmed whether these restrictions will evolve in the future, they are clearly taking a cautious approach to avoid potential misuse.

Additionally, image generation will be limited to users aged 18 or older, ensuring responsible and age-appropriate usage.

In addition to image generation, Google is expanding the capabilities of SGE to include the creation of written drafts directly from the search bar. Junaid Safdar Confirms Divorce After Three Years Of Marriage

Junaid Safdar, grandson of former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Shareef, has confirmed the news of divorce from Ayesha Saif.

“News about my divorce is true,” Safdar said in an Instagram story.

“I hope with this decision we find our peace In Shaa Allah. I will speak no further on this matter. I wish her well,” Junaid added.

Junaid removed all his pictures with his former spouse shortly after the announcement.

The news comes more than two years after Junaid Safdar exchanged vows with Ayesha Saif, the daughter of Saif ur Rehman Khan, the former head of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and a multi-millionaire businessman based in Qatar with business interests in Pakistan, Qatar, and Middle Eastern countries.

The couple tied the knot in August 2021, with their wedding ceremonies held in London and Pakistan, since PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif was in the British capital in self-exile.

The couple stayed away from the media spotlight during their time together.

The announcement of Junaid Safdar’s divorce coincides with Nawaz Sharif’s departure from London for Saudi Arabia, where he will be performing Umrah. The pilgrimage will be followed by a return to Pakistan next week on October 21. Nawaz will be returning to Pakistan after spending four years in self-exile.

A little more about Junaid Safdar’s former spouse:

Ayesha Saif, born and raised in Qatar, received her primary and secondary education at British schools, passing O and A levels with distinction. She moved to London where she enrolled at the renowned University College London (UCL) and graduated with a BEng in Civil Engineering.

She was a Director at Redco International, a prominent industrial and contracting group that has been operating in Qatar since 1981, with 20,000 employees and engineers onboard.

How it all happened:

The couple’s nikkah took place at Lanesborough Hotel, situated on Hyde Park Corner in Knightsbridge. The ceremony was attended by Junaid Safdar’s grandfather, with other notable attendees, including his uncle Hussain Nawaz, PML-N party member and former finance minister Ishaq Dar, among others.

The groom’s parents, Maryam Nawaz and Muhammad Safdar, were unable to attend the wedding ceremony due to their names being on the Exit Control List (ECL). Maryam Nawaz had previously informed about her absence through a tweet earlier that month. However, they were present during the ceremony through a video call, and Maryam Nawaz shared pictures of the event on her Twitter account, extending her blessings to the couple.

Furthermore, in December of the same year, an extravagant wedding reception lasting nearly a week was held in Islamabad, marking another celebration of Junaid and Ayesha’s union.
