This was Rohit Sharma’s highest score in T20I cricket as well as his fifth century. He went ahead of team-mate Suryakumar Yadav and Australia’s Glenn Maxwell, who have four centuries each.

Rohit Sharma now also own the record for most runs by an Indian captain in T20Is. He went past former captain Virat Kohli (1570) on this list and now stands at 1647 runs. Meanwhile, legendary MS Dhoni is third on the liost with 1112 runs.

Rohit Sharma levelled former captain MS Dhoni for most wins as India’s skipper in T20I cricket after the Super over win over Afghanistan. Both captains has won 41 matches, however, Sharma has a chance to surpass it as he will be leading India in upcoming T20I World Cup.
Most T20I sixes by a captain
Rohit also went past former England captain Eoin Morgan to smash the most sixes by a skipper in T20I cricket. The right-handed opener now has 87 sixes in T20Is, while Morgan ended his career with 86.
Most T20I centuries by a captain
Rohit Sharma has scored his fifth century yesterday, which was also his third as captain in T20I cricket. He now hold the record for the joint-most T20I centuries as captain, with former Pakistan captain Babar Azam.
