Ever since the collaboration of SAZGAR Engineering Works Limited (SEWL) with Great Wall Motor (GWM), we have seen resounding instances of success and value addition to the automotive market of Pakistan since 2022.
It started with the launch of the Haval H6, a futuristic and feature-rich SUV that added a different dimension to the category in Pakistan. Then came the ever so popular and the most sought after SUV in the market till date, the Haval H6 HEV. Last year, SAZGAR and GWM launched the Haval Jolion, a crossover SUV that has a comparatively smaller chassis than the H6 but more or less the same functionality and features. Very recently, they have now launched the highly anticipated Haval Jolion HEV, a vehicle that has seen success all over the world, notably in markets like Australia and South Africa.
Not only this, SAZGAR has also introduced two CBU vehicles to Pakistan as well, namely Ora 03 (a 100% electric hatchback), and GWM Tank 500 (a 2 liter hybrid SUV). As a result, SAZGAR has become the biggest NEV player in the country, and one can safely call the company a pioneer in new energy vehicle segment.
The Jolion HEV is priced at PKR 9,295,000/-, with a booking amount of PKR 1,800,000/- and the stated delivery time is 2-3 months. The vehicle comes with a 1.5L 4G15H hybrid engine that produces unbelievable power, namely 190HP and 375Nm of torque. With 7-speed DHT transmission, an array of futuristic driving features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, L2 Autonomous Driving, Head-Up Display, Ventilated Seats, and more, the vehicle promises to pack a punch and deliver serious value for money.
The vehicle was formally unveiled at a launch ceremony held at the SAZGAR car plant, in Lahore. The attendees consisted of the senior management, representatives of the GWM team from China, officers, managers, and factory workers. The reveal sequence was magnificent and remarkable, coupled with recognition and praise to those who deserve it most. From senior management personnel, to officers, to workers, everyone was presented with awards as a token of gratitude and motivation for the entire team.
