How to Switch from IOS to Android

IOS vs. Android

There are plenty of reasons why users switch from IOS to Android, mainly because of the liberty Android provides to its users to customize their phone but regardless of whatever your reasons might be, we are here to remind you that it is not a simple process.

It is safe to say that transferring to a different platform is as difficult and complicated as moving to a different place since both the IOS and Android are poles apart.

Users usually want to transfer all of their data from the previous software but most importantly do not wish to miss out on any of their contacts, music, and apps that they use daily.

Use Google Drive

Google Drive

Google drive remarkably makes the process easier. It allows you to transfer your contacts, calendar and camera roll photos from iOS to Android conveniently.

Download Google Drive on your iPhone.

Launch the app > Go to Settings > Marked Backup

Direct the app as you wish to create a backup automatically. Things you must keep in mind is that the backup process can take a lot of time. You must be connected to the fastest Wi-Fi near you and also plug your device so you do not run out of battery.

The backup process will take place smoothly and you will have a backup file ready on your Google drive. The best thing about Google Drive is that once you start using your android phone, it will ask you to log in to your Google account where your back up file will already be waiting for you.

BMW Unveils Its New Logo After 23 Long Years!

Source: BMW

Legendary brands are those that can be recognized by people with just their logos, such as Ferrari’s prancing horse, Audi’s four rings, Lamborghini’s raging bull and many more.

Decades have been spent in establishing such splendid brand recall where the brand can be identified without any text attached to it. In contrast to this, BMW recently revealed its new logo after 23 years and this has caused quite the stir in its fanbase.

While some have accepted the change wholeheartedly, some have absolutely hated the sudden change!

Source: The Verge

The company’s first logo was seen in 1917 after which minor changes have been made over the years however what has shocked people is the complete change in the logo where BMW has left out the black elements of the design and has decided to go with a transparent background. The last changes to the logo were made in the year, 1997.

How Has BMW’s Logo Changed Over The Years?

Source: BMW Website

It is definitely going to take some time for BMW loyal customers to get used to the new change!

The company has rolled out the change only for online and offline communication purposes, pointing out that the logo is best suited for the digital age.

What Are The Main Changes Made To The BMW Logo?

  1. The thick outer ring in the circular logo became transparent from a previous solid black color. This means that the logo will take on the color of whatever it is set against.

2. The new design is simpler and flatter, which is a big change from the rounded three-dimensional look of the old logo

The logo made its official debut on the Concept i4 electric sedan.

However, BMW has stated that there are no plans for the new logo making its way on production vehicles in the near or even the distant future. This is good news for those who have not loved the new change!

What did you think of the new change in BMW’s logo? Love it or hate it? Let us know in the comments below.

Jazz TV Now Available on KaiOS

Jazz

Jazz TV, one of Pakistan’s most successful live streaming platforms, is now available to all Digit 4G users through a distinctive version of the application available on the KaiOS store.

Launched just in time for the HBL Pakistan Super League 5, the app enlivens the whole live-streaming experience.

Currently, more than 1.5 million people use the Jazz TV platform to stream the ongoing Twenty20 cricket league.

Jazz Digit 4G, launched at the beginning of 2020, is an inexpensive smart feature phone with the contemplatively designed operating system for the unique connectivity landscape in Pakistan.

The objective behind integrating Jazz TV with the phone’s OS is to offer users a digital space for all their entertainment needs. Bridging the connectivity gap is an enormous challenge in Pakistan, although the aggressive 4G deployment and resulting mobile applications are generating momentum to cover this gap.

KaiOS, the world’s third-largest mobile operating system, is a web-based model that enables a new category of smart feature phones like the Digit 4G. Through KaiOS, Digit 4G offers a range of popular apps including WhatsApp, YouTube and Google Maps.

“Jazz TV is one of the most popular applications on the Play Store in Pakistan because it offers an edge over linear TV. Given the app’s rising demand, we believe the time is right to introduce the masses to the concept of live-streaming, so they too can enjoy the cricket season on the go,” said Kashif Rehman, Product Manager at Jazz.

It is interesting to see video platforms customizing their apps for other operating systems, which itself proves how important the particular segment is.

Of course, it doesn’t compensate entirely for a smartphone experience but caters to users who aren’t too comfortable switching to an entry-level smartphone, mainly because of the budget constraints.

According to Samaa News, the manufacturing unit had been using expired ingredients. Apparently, the raw material in the factory was found below the standard.

All below the standard raw material and other items were discarded by the authorities. Hygiene rules within the factory were also being violated.

So, Team Brandsyanrio reached out to Dunkin Donuts Karachi to investigate the matter and ask their stance on the whole situation.

Here’s what they had to say:

The food authority visited our premises when we were in between shifts and our nature of business is such that raw materials like chocolate and flour do spill to the floor. It is only when the next shift arrives that they clean the premises and ensure that the international hygiene and sanitation standards set by Dunkin’ International are achieved before beginning the production process. You are welcome to visit the facility and see for yourself if we’re maintaining the hygiene standards, but let’s not fall prey to allegations that are yet to be proven

Moreover, upon asking for more details, here’s what they said,

Official statement will follow after proper consultation with our lawyers.

Not only that but Dunkin Donuts Pakistan has removed their post on Facebook where they claimed that Dunkin Donuts Karachi is a completely separate entity! WHAT? And how??

Here’s the removed post:

Mortein’s Latest Heart-Wrenching Campaign is Highly Inspired By Syrian Ad

Pakistan has already fallen prey to Dengue fever after a number of people have been diagnosed with Dengue since the year 2020 started. In order to combat it Mortein has released its latest campaign #DengueAbNahi.

The message they are portraying is how one’s life can change if they are not protected against dengue. The Ad reports that an estimated 250 lives were lost because of the disease last year and over 50,000 people were affected by it.

Watch the latest Mortein Ad here:

https://www.facebook.com/MorteinPakistan/videos/208054707057694/?t=4

However after watching the campaign it reminds us of a popular video that went viral over social media by Save the Children it pictured a Syrian child who suffered after her life changed over night due to the ongoing war in the country. The heart-breaking Syrian ad was one that was absolutely unforgettable.

If you have a closer look at both the campaigns, you can see the various similarities between the two. One of many such examples is this scene below, where the child is going to bed, the same way the rest of the Mortein ad will remind you of the Syrian Ad.

Snippet from the Mortein Campaign!

Extremely similar snippet from the Syrian Ad

If you’re still not convinced enough, we’ve taken the liberty to show you a different scene recreated in the Pakistani brand’s video.

Hospital scene from the Mortein Video

This expression broke hearts across the world!

Check out the Syrian Campaign – (Most Shocking Second a Day)! Pay heed to the different phases of the campaign and compare it to the Mortein Campaign.

The campaign seems to be highly inspired from the Save The Children Syrian Ad. However, the Mortein Ad is very well executed and really makes one think of the consequences of Dengue. Not only does the patient suffer during the disease but the care-givers are equally under immense emotional pressure at the time.

Lets all hope that the social awareness campaign against Dengue will help Mortein save precious lives this year.

Osman Khalid Butt

Pakistani actor, Osman Khalid Butt has always been vocal regarding social issues that prevail within our societies. He has been supporting Aurat March since the very beginning of the movement in Pakistan.

This time around, Aurat March caught attention as writer Khalil ur Rehman and Marvi Sirmed were caught in an argument on national television where Rehman had uttered shameful slurs to the former journalist.

The placards, however, this time around were breath of fresh air.

While someone on the internet edited one of the placards circulating on social media. OKB took it to his twitter handle to highlight the issue.

Please stop this nonsense.
I cannot believe we are stooping this low. I cannot believe people – even those on my timeline – are sharing Photoshopped images like this to discredit the march, and shame & humiliate women.

The research is based on armaments, arms control, conflict, and disarmament. Over the past five years, the report indicates India which is Pakistan’s neighboring country to be the second-largest arms importer in the world.

A senior researcher at Sipri said, “As in previous years, in 2019 India and Pakistan — which are nuclear-armed states — attacked each other using an array of imported major arms.”

He added, “Many of the world’s largest arms exporters have supplied these two states for decades, often exporting arms to both sides.”

“Between 2010–14 and 2015–19, arms imports by India and Pakistan decreased by 32 and 39 percent, respectively. While both countries have long-standing aims to produce their own major arms, they remain largely dependent on imports and have substantial outstanding orders and plans for imports of all types of major arms,” said the report.
