Enjoyed with a cup of tea/coffee, there are several variations of samosa that you must try at home. However, did you know that you could also put a sweet twist on your favorite snack? If you haven’t already tried these dessert samosa recipes to take your Iftar to the next level.
Here are some of the most popular dessert samosas that can be easily made at home.
Melt dark chocolate in a bowl. In a separate bowl, add caster sugar, all-purpose flour, ghee, and mix. Mix all the ingredients until the mixture gets a crumbly texture. Pour sufficient water and knead a partially rigid dough. Place the dough in a bowl and refrigerate for 7-8 minutes.
For the filling, mix pistachios and melted dark chocolate along with the remaining caster sugar. Place a saucepan over medium flame and heat 2 cups of water in it. Add sugar and heat until the sugar dissolves. It should have a thick consistency. Once done, take it off the flame.
Take small portions from the dough and roll small size chapattis out of these. The size must be something that fits in the palm of your hand easily. Make sure that the small-sized chapattis are not too soft or hard.
Add 2 teaspoons of the chocolate-pistachio filling inside the chapattis. Seal the chapattis from the outside to make a samosa.
In a deep-bottomed pan, heat refined oil over medium flame and deep fry the samosas until they turn golden brown.
2. Nutella and Coconut Samosas

Ingredients
8 Samosa pastry sheets
120 g Nutella, refrigerated
1 banana, sliced
4 tablespoon desiccated coconut flakes
Spray oil, for baking
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour + 2 teaspoon water, for the paste
Instructions
Start with one samosa pastry sheet, and fold it to form a triangle. Then roll the sheet in the shape of a cone and spread some flour paste to keep it well sealed.
Fill it up with a generous teaspoon of nutella spread, a slice of banana and sprinkle with coconut flakes.
Spread some flour paste on the sheet edge and fold again to seal the samosa.
Arrange the samosas on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and bake for 15-17 mins, turning them on the other side half-way through cooking time.
3. Cinnamon Cheesecake Dessert Samosas

Ingredients
8 medium flour tortillas
8 oz. cream cheese softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg beaten1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped pecans
cinnamon/sugar to garnish
Instructions
Mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and 1/2 beaten egg until well-combined. (Save the other 1/2 of the beaten egg to use as an egg wash to seal samosas!)
Pour the cream cheese mixture into a foil-lined jelly roll pan.
Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
Toast the pecans at 300 degrees for 5-7 minutes.
Once cool, place the cream cheese mixture in a small bowl and stir in toasted pecans.
Take the tortillas and cut them in a rectangle. Fold the rectangle in such a way to make a cone.
Fill with 1-2 tablespoons of filling (cone should be about 3/4 full).
Brush more egg wash onto top of the cone and then press together to seal samosa.
Place 2-3 samosas at a time into oil and cook until deep golden brown in color.
4. Apple Pie Samosa

Ingredients
3/4 chopped apples
1/8 tsp. cinnamon powder
1 tsp. sugar (to taste)
a drop of lemon juice
Instructions
Combine all the ingredients (chopped apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon powder) in a small pan, and let it cook and soften over medium heat. Once the apples are cooked and all the juices evaporated, remove from heat and let cool completely. Set aside.
Taking one samosa sheet at a time, place a little filling on one end and fold into a triangle. Seal the end using a little cornstarch paste. Repeat until you run out of filling/pastry sheets or both.
Deep fry the samosa until golden brown in color.
5. Mini Cream CheeseSamosas

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
Cream Cheese cubes (as needed)
3/4 cup water
1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Samosa sheets as needed
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, combine together the sugar, water, and squeeze of lemon juice. Set on a stovetop over high heat. Try to avoid stirring it as it heats to prevent crystallization from happening. It should be slightly thicker than the average simple syrup used for kunafa.
Bring to a rolling boil, then reduce the heat to medium and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
Transfer to a medium bowl, liquid measuring cup, or gravy boat and allow to cool to room temperature before using.
Fold the samosa sheet to make a cone and grab a cube of cream cheese to tuck it inside the pocket in the triangle to close it up. Repeat with the remaining sheets.
Fill a large skillet with enough oil to cover the bottom of the skillet. Deep fry the samosas on low heat.

2 1/2 Tbsp Rooh Afza
10 Mint leaves
1 Tbsp Lemon / lime juice
1 Cup plain soda
Crushed ice
Instructions
Crush the ice and mint leaves together until you get the flavor of mint. Add Rooh Afza and lemon juice.
Top with chilled soda. Mix gently and add ice if needed. Garnish with lemon wedge/ slice, fresh mint sprig, and serve.

2. Rooh Afza Lassi
2 Cups yogurt
2 Cups chilled milk
2-3 Tbsp sugar
2 Tbsp Rooh Afza syrup
Ice Cubes
Instructions
Take yogurt, milk, and sugar water in a blender and blend well.
Now add ice cubes and blend for 2 minutes.
At this time check the consistency of the mixture, if it is too thick then add more milk and blend again.
Next, add Rooh Afza syrup and once again blend the mixture.
Pour the mixture into glasses and garnish with chopped almonds on top. Rooh Afza lassi is ready to serve.

Until now, the problem was gathering diverse driving data using a massive fleet of cars. It is critical to do so to develop a self-driving car system however, that is extremely costly. Moreover, it is not scalable to test autonomous vehicles with expensive sensors.
It is reported that Tesla has been betting on cameras to collect data from over 1 million vehicles on the road as research. On the other hand, Alphabet’s Waymo and other self-driving car firms have chosen to add expensive sensors like lidars to their self-driving cars.
The Advantage of The Partnership
Toyota added that this collaboration intends to show a lot. It is trying to show that the advantage of Toyota and a large automaker coming together is huge. There is a huge database coming together but with a much smaller cost. They are using cameras that are 90% cheaper than the sensors used before. They can also be easily installed on all cars.
Collecting data through these low-cost cameras is believed to be improving the system’s performance. The difference in the system when the system was trained exclusively on high-cost sensor data and now is believed to be extremely small.

Is Sadaf Kanwal expecting? The question is on everyone’s mind after her appearance on a TV show last night. As soon as Sadaf appeared on the screen, the small clues gave away the untold story. As the host introduced Sadaf, she came walking inside the arena quite carefully as Shahroz shouted ‘Aram sey’. Sadaf’s gestures, her body language, and the way she kept adjusting her outfit made it quite apparent that the model was trying to hide something.
Sadaf Kanwal’s entire outfit was a dead giveaway. The model was wearing a pair of flats. However, her outfit took the spotlight, which she picked from her own label, “Sadaf Kanwal Designs”. The monotoned brown dress paired with the same coloured organza dupatta did a pretty good job at hiding her alleged baby bump. At some points, it was pretty obvious that the model was uncomfortable, which made her adjust her outfit frequently.

Telenor Pakistan, this January, launched their campaign ‘More Se Zyada Faida’, with a fun, quirky, animation-based communication, featuring actor/influencer Saheefa Jabbar and her chirpy and witty parrot ‘Mithu’ – the star of the TVC.
Built upon the element of ‘a pleasant surprise and deliverance’, along with the minglish wordplay, the brand has conveyed its offerings to create value beyond expectations for its customers.
The story focuses on an ordinary-looking parrot Jabbar chooses to buy because she is low on cash and cannot afford to buy the bigger, better-looking one she really wants. However, as the story unravels, her purchase results in a pleasant surprise as the ‘ordinary’ parrot she has just bought turns out to be an extraordinary ‘talking parrot’ – equally extraordinary is the expression on Jabbar’s face once she hears it talking “Ab Chun Hi Liya Hai Tou Sharmana Kaisa… Houn Nahi Main Koi Aesa Wesa.”

The Airbus A380 just recently completed a flight that was run on cooking oil. Yes, it is hard to believe for everyone but this experiment has been successfully completed. The A380 is a massive wide-body airliner that is used by international commercial airlines like British Airways, Emirates, and Korean Air. This mega plane officially touched down on Friday after a successful test flight from Airbus’ French headquarters in Toulouse.

It is said that the plane was powered by Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). This fuel is a blend of used cooking oil, agricultural residue, and non-fossil CO2.
Has This Been Done Before?
Airbus is said to have conducted test flights with SAF before too. However, the difference is that the aircraft before were much smaller. The SAF fuel was tested on Airbus 350 in March of last year. Following that, it was A319neo, the single-aisle aircraft’s turn. All three of these tests have been successful as the plane engineers suggest no change was noted in the engine.
The fact that such a huge aircraft can run easily on SAF is a huge achievement. Airline emissions are all basically related to jet fuel combustion which is a major global environmental concern. This latest test run is important because SAF may be able to address these issues.

SAF actually emits just 20% of the CO2 that traditional fuel and aircraft do. Naturally, it has less impact on air quality. In addition to this, there are supposedly many benefits for the airlines too. For instance, SAF testing has proven to be 1.5 -3 percent more efficient than traditional fuel. This results in higher payload conditions and also an extended range. How would you like to be seated in an aircraft that is running partially on cooking oil?

Beechtree’s latest ad for their new Pret collection has everyone wheezing. No one has any idea about what the brand is trying to sell, and needless to say, the response is hilarious.
Beechtree released a new ad to celebrate its latest collection in stores. However, it isn’t as simple as that. The ad features poor story creation, bad direction, and an overall blah vibe. At first look, it isn’t easy to decide what the brand is trying to sell or show in the video.
The video shows somewhat haphazardly edited scenes. Nobody is quite sure if the girls are trying to channel some kind of emotional attachment or are instructed to look dead straight into the camera. All in all, the ad is confusing and poorly executed.
Netizens sure were confused rather than amused with the video. They bombarded the comments sections with a variety of comments. Some were extremely hilarious, while others took a massive dig calling out the brand.
The majority couldn’t decipher the message. In contrast, some wondered whether they were trying to sell glasses by zooming in so close to the face, repeatedly. Others questioned if the director still has the job after doing such a lousy job.
“It seems like two girls have shot the video in their home and uploaded it.” One user wrote.
“What are we supposed to buy after watching this ad?” Another wrote.
