1. Macintosh TV

Apple’s television was launched in 1993 and only made it to production till 1994. There were superior quality televisions present at the time and they were not even as expensive. This one cost more than $1200 and even now, that is a steep price.

This was Apple’s attempt to introduce a touch-screen based writing pad. While it did dazzle and turn heads, it did not make it to market quite well. According to the company, this was a low-cost laptop running system and was marketed as such. However, it was also the time that other tech companies were making the mark with their laptops. Their computing power was much higher, thus this product was overshadowed.

5. Round Mouse

This is a product that can be referred to as innovative but it did not seem practical. Even now, the concept of a round mouse is not widely popular as the current oval-ish shape is the one people go with. Launched in 1998 and discontinued in 2000.

6. PowerMac G4 Cube

This was a transparent computer built by Apple to bring people closer to the usage of technology. It was a computer in the shape of a cube but it was priced at almost $2000. This made it quite unpopular in front of Microsoft’s emerging technology.

Now, it seems that a new OnePlus phone is about to be released soon. It has been announced as OnePlus Open and it has impressive specifications. However, there were still a lot of details that were being kept under wraps. In recent news, it seems that the specs of the OnePlus Open camera have been leaked! The camera is one of the best things about a OnePlus phone and we would love to see the details.

OnePlus and the Leak

According to the report that was leaked, the OnePlus Open camera is highly impressive. The OnePlus Open is going to be a foldable phone, much like others you have seen. However, what is impressive is the pixel quality and the resolution of the camera. The report states that the foldable phone is going to be fitted with a 48MP main camera. However, alongside it is going to be a 64MP 3X optical zoom periscope camera. Now that sounds like quite a mouthful, but it is impressive.

Not only this but there could be a third rear camera for the ultra-wide angle. Additionally, the same tip says that the phone will have 2K resolution, a 120Hz screen, and a relatively high brightness. All of these add up to a robust smartphone that is going to shock the market when it’s released.

Hoping for a Tech Marvel

From what the reports have suggested, we can expect the OnePlus Open to be a smartphone worthy of competition. It can certainly go against other giants in the field and can hold its own well. The smartphone is also expected to have 100W wired charging and a new gold color that has not been seen on the phone before. A new color could mean even more customers.

The OnePlus Open is expected to be launched on October 19^th so we have yet to see these details being confirmed. However, it certainly looks promising.

Back to the Future II is a fan favorite. In fact, the entire trilogy is considered one of the best ones in the Sci-fi genre. It has defined the way that a lot of people look at time travel. To have a moving vehicle as the subject of time travel was a first to say. While the DeLorean itself was not a successful car and is widely considered a failure, it is iconic. This franchise made it highly iconic. However, the future that was shown in that film was quite extraordinary. Many of those technologies have not even been invented yet.

In the film, Doc and Marty went ahead to the future that was set in 2015. To us, 2015 passed more than seven years ago. However, so many items from that future are not here yet. So, do you think that those technologies can be invented, or will they forever remain in pop culture? Do you think we can see Marty’s hoverboard anytime soon?

Of course, we cannot talk about the technologies present at that time without mentioning this. It seemed like quite a cool product that functioned as a skateboard. However, there were no wheels underneath the board and that is what made it cool. It was levitating in mid-air!

Clothing Technologies

In the film, it was shown that there were shoes that tied themselves. All you had to do was tap on them and the shoes would tighten according to your foot. Similarly, there was a jacket in the future that dried itself. Not only that, but it adjusted its sleeves and size according to the wearer. That can be considered a smart jacket, controlled by AI.

A Smart Café

While we might be headed towards such a thing soon, it has not been completely implemented yet. In the movie, there was a café which was managed by androids and not people. It featured AI posing as famous personalities and serving customers to their liking. There was not a single human working on the side of the counter.

Flight Technologies

We could see that there were barely any roads in the future that we were shown. While it may not be entirely possible to create such an infrastructure right now, we can certainly start working towards flying cars. Highways in the air, all with signs and signals, would be a cool sight. That would certainly make airplanes obsolete.

“Re-hydrated” Food

Another aspect of the future we saw was a bite-size pizza being hydrated. It was put in a machine for a few seconds and came back out as a full-size pizza, all filled with toppings and cheese. It was perfectly cooked. Now that is the kind of technology that we would certainly love to see.

The movie is the epitome of sci-fi family fun, and we highly recommend going through the entire trilogy at least once.

Legal Action Launched Against Mohammad Rizwan For On-Field Prayer

An Indian lawyer has formally complained to the International Cricket Council (ICC) against Mohammad Rizwan, for offering prayer on the cricket field.

This marks the second complaint against Rizwan during the ongoing World Cup in India.

Prior to that, Mohammad Rizwan dedicated his match-winning century against Sri Lanka to the people of Gaza in light of the Israel-Hamas conflict. However, the ICC did not take any action in response to this act.

Advocate Vineet Jindal, from the Supreme Court of India, has now filed another complaint against Mohammad Rizwan. In his formal complaint to ICC Chairman Greg Barclay, Jindal stated, “This is a complaint about Pakistan Cricket Player, Mohammad Rizwan, who was seen offering namaz on the cricket field during his team’s opening match of the ongoing ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023 on Friday (October 6) against the Netherlands in Hyderabad.”

Jindal argues that Rizwan’s act of offering prayers on the field, particularly in front of a mixed audience, goes against the spirit of sportsmanship. He further contends that this act raises questions about the player’s adherence to the spirit of the game and suggests a display of religious and political ideology.

This is not the first time Rizwan has been the subject of such a complaint. In 2021, he similarly offered prayers on the ground after Pakistan’s victory against India in the ICC T20 World Cup.

Advocate Vineet Jindal has urged the ICC to take strict action against Mohammad Rizwan. It’s worth noting that Jindal is the same lawyer who previously filed a complaint against Pakistan presenter Zainab Abbas for alleged “anti-Hindu” statements. Abbas, who was in India as a presenter for the ongoing ICC Men’s World Cup 2023, left the country on October 9, citing “personal reasons” according to the international cricket body.

Rohit Sharma’s scintillating 86-run performance propelled India to a resounding seven-wicket triumph over arch-rivals Pakistan in the ICC World Cup 2023.

The match witnessed a sea of blue-clad supporters, with nearly 100,000 fans creating an electrifying atmosphere at the world’s largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad.

Pakistani batters started the innings strongly with Imam-ul-Haq smashing three boundaries to Mohammed Siraj in the second over.

However, despite early composure, negotiating the formidable Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, Pakistani openers eventually succumbed.

Abdullah Shafique scored 20, while Imam-ul-Haq departed after scoring 36.

Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan then steadied the ship, exhibiting mature gameplay much to the dismay of the Ahmedabad crowd. At 155 for two, Pakistan seemed poised for a substantial total.

However, India’s bowlers remained relentless, never allowing their rivals to gain a significant advantage.

The turning point arrived when a devilish low bounce ball dismissed Babar Azam’s off stump, unsettling Pakistan’s composure. Pakistan’s captain top-scored for the side with 50, his first half century against India in ODI cricket.

Kuldeep Yadav seized the opportunity, and induced panic in the Pakistani camp with two wickets in one over. The game-changing over saw Saud Shakeel falling victim to a cleverly executed delivery, while Iftikhar Ahmed suffered the misfortune of chopping one onto his stumps.

Bumrah, then returned and unleashed an unplayable off-cutter to dismiss Mohammad Rizwan, just one run shy of a half-century. Shadab Khan’s off stump was then toppled by a lightning-quick delivery from Bumrah.

It was not long before the tail was cleaned up by Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja, limiting Pakistan to a mere 191.

With a target of 192, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill took displayed aggressive intent against Pakistan’s formidable pace attack. The duo amassed five fours in the first two overs, setting a blazing pace before Gill perished.

Virat Kohli came to bat with a loud roar from the Ahmedabad crowd and joined Rohit. While Kohli played his shots with precision, it was Rohit’s majestic display that stole the show. He marked his 300th ODI six with a colossal strike off Haris Rauf.

Although Kohli fell to a miscued shot off Hasan Ali, India faced no real pressure. Shreyas Iyer came out to bat and provided valuable support to Rohit. The Indian captain completed a scintillating half-century in just 36 balls during the partnership.

The crowd at Ahmedabad eagerly anticipated a century from Rohit, but it eluded him as Shaheen Afridi induced a miscue, sending the Indian captain back to the pavilion.

KL Rahul and Iyer then confidently steered India to victory, with Iyer sealing the deal by notching an unbeaten half-century and delivering the final blow—a crisp straight drive for four.

We’re nearing the annual wedding season with the year ending, giving overseas Pakistanis the opportunity to be a part of family weddings amid Christmas and New Year holidays.

With that said, we wonder what to expect from the weddings that lie ahead now that we’re seeing both extravagant celebrations with more than three bridal outfits and also those that made headlines for a more subtle, intimate celebration.

The question of whether to opt for a grand, ‘nearly a dozen bridal outfits’ wedding or a more modest and intimate affair is entirely a personal one. But we were really thanking our lucky stars when there was a nationwide shift towards simpler weddings.

Even when COVID-19 was no longer a primary force behind the transition, celebrities like Pakistani model Eman Suleman and Neha Taseer normalised the concept of elegant simplicity— unlike those 11 nuptials and nine outfits Aiman Khan made headlines with, making the line between middle class and elites appear wider.

Now, Mahira Khan’s wedding has been one hot topic that had us hooked for a month now and we’re not even sure if the hype is ending anytime soon. But it’s safe to say that her wedding is one of those star-studded nuptials that will add to the trends we’ve had over the years— if not change them completely.
