Indian Media AGAIN Creates a Scandal About Mahira-Ranbir Meetup!

In yet another social media brouhaha, Mahira Khan’s latest smoking video ended up irking many people. AGAIN!

As usual, the hate brigade kickstarted their trolling, while her ardent fans continued to stand up for the superstar.

It all started last year when she was caught sharing a smoke with Bollywood heartthrob. Ranbir Kapoor. And the internet lost it and is still not over the whole drama.

Internet Stands Up for Mahira Khan After Another Smoking Video Leaked!

Meanwhile adding fuel to the fire, Bollywood has kickstarted its own hate-campaign against Mahira and yet again are circulating malicious gossip about her alleged affair with Ranbir Kapoor.

Various Indian publications have wickedly reported that the Humsafar haseena had a secret rendezvous with Ranbir in London.

Over the past week, Khan was touring England’s capital to promote her movie ‘Verna’.

Reportedly, Ranbir Kapoor was in London as well with Aliaa Bhatt for the shooting of their movie, Brahmastra. However, Indian media claims that Kapoor stayed for Mahira in London instead of joining the cast in Bombay!

Talk about being obsessed with our haseena!

Mahira has clarified countless times in various interviews. that there is nothing brewing between her and Ranbir

While speaking on an episode with BBC World News’ HARDTalk, Mahira revealed:

“That was the first time in my entire career that I was caught up in a so-called controversy and it was strange because there were so many things in that. One, obviously you feel violated, you are in a personal downtime moment and someone has just photographed you”

Similarly, Kapoor too labels the Raees starlet as nothing more than a good friend.

He said in a statement,

“I’ve gotten to know Mahira in a personal capacity over the last few months. She is somebody who I admire and respect, for her achievements and even more for the person she is.It is very unfair the way she is being judged and spoken about. What is also sad is the inequality in judgment just because she is a woman.”

Even if their meetup did occur, it really wrong to sensationalize by stating that they are dating each other.

It is about time Indian media learns to leave our superstar alone and stop defaming her for once and for all.

Feroze Khan’s Wife is Being Bullied on Social Media for Her Looks!

Feroze Khan Wife

The heartthrob Khaani star Feroze Khan aka Mir Hadi shattered many dreams and broke the hearts of his female fans and followers when he announced the news of his wedding earlier this month with one of his cousins.

The moment he revealed the news, people started following the family on social media to get the latest news about his wedding events.

People were more curious to see the bride of the actor.

Feroze Khan Wife

The fans and followers of Feroze Khan could finally see the bride on couple’s grand Mehndi event.

Soon after the pictures of Feroze Khan’s wife, Syeda Aliza Fatima, were posted on Instagram, her photos went viral on the internet within no time and hate started spewing in the comments on her various pictures.

The internet started trolling his wife for her looks.

Look at the negativity people have in their minds!

However, some people were quick to slam the haters!

Although little is known about Feroze Khan’s newly wed bride, people started bashing her for no good reason. Either they are jealous of the couple or they have no productive thing to do in their lives.

Same thing happened to the wife of the famous comedian Zaid Ali. Soon after he shared the pictures with his wife, the internet started bashing her wife on her wheatish complexion.

We think that this is totally unacceptable that something is belittled because of his/her appearance. The couple and their families look happy together and this is the only thing that matters. We hope that people on the internet utilize there copious amount of time on productive things.

Let us know in the comment below what do you think about the story.

Nissan to Finally Begin Datsun Production in Pakistan!

Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. is entering the Pakistan market through a manufacturing and licensing agreement with automotive partner Ghandhara Nissan Ltd. for local production of Datsun models.

The agreement also covers distribution, providing access to a market where demand for new vehicles has grown to more than 200,000 units a year.

The move is part of Nissan’s strategy to engage with emerging automotive markets around the world, bringing brands and products tailored to meet rising consumer demand. Sales of the first locally built vehicles are expected to begin in Pakistan within the 2019 fiscal year.

“This entrance to the Pakistan automotive market represents a significant step in the ongoing development of local manufacturing infrastructure and economic activity,” said Peyman Kargar, Nissan senior vice president.

“We are confident that, with the close collaboration and support of the Pakistani government, this will deliver sustainable benefits for the national economy, customers, partners and Nissan.”

“Together with Ghandhara, we’ll be working actively with suppliers to localize and exchange technology and skills, which will provide a lasting benefit to the emerging local component industry,” Kargar added.

Nissan’s entry will provide Pakistani customers with a fresh and desirable lineup designed and built with the most modern Japanese engineering.

It will also provide a significant boost to the automotive industry, which already accounts for about 4% of Pakistan’s gross domestic product. Ghandhara will invest 4.5 billion Pakistani rupees (about $41 million) over the first four years. The project and the development of a retail network will create more than 1,800 jobs.

Nissan and Ghandhara will work together to develop Ghandhara’s facilities in Karachi’s Port Qasim into a world-class manufacturing plant. The partners have a long-standing relationship, bringing a wealth of local knowledge and experience. The project has qualified for brown-field category status under the Government of Pakistan’s Automotive Development Policy.

“This agreement will introduce world-class facilities and the best of Japanese engineering technologies,” said Ahmed Kuli Khan Khattak, CEO of Ghandhara.

“By localizing the manufacture of parts and components and boosting development in the auto supplier industry, it will provide Pakistan with technical assistance and promote partnerships with Japan.”

“Customers in Pakistan will benefit from more choice and enjoy engaging driving experiences with vehicles and modern features that are ideally suited to the country.”

iPhone X & iPhone X Plus 2018: Price in Pakistan Revealed!

Apple is rumoured to be working on 3 new iPhones for 2018. Rumours suggest that they will be an iPhone X (6.1in LCD display) and X Plus (6.5-in OLED display).

RBC Capital Markets analyst Amit Daryanani has shared that Apple will reduce at least $100 from the iPhone’s price. He also said;

“The refreshed 5.8″ OLED (XI) could be priced at $899 ( $100 cheaper vs. current iPhone X) and the larger 6.5″ OLED could be priced at $999. This would effectively lower the average ASP’s but we think will drive a stronger unit growth.”

iPhone sales have slowed down globally, mainly because of the price factor, however, it looks like that the Cupertino’s tech giant has finally realized that the idea of offering a flagship like iPhone X at a skyrocketing price was not good.

MacRumors have developed a price chart for iPhone models in 2018 based on Daryanani’s research note, which is as follows;

  • 6.5-inch OLED iPhone X Plus: $999
  • 5.8-inch next-generation iPhone X: $899
  • 6.1-inch mid-range LCD iPhone: $799
  • iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus: $549 and $669
  • iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus: $449 and $569
  • iPhone SE: $349

We have yet to see how authentic this really is!

Facebook Friendship Requests to Expire!

Tasting Different Layers With the Cast of Cake [Exclusive]

Pakistani movie ‘Cake’ has not even hit the theaters yet but has successfully managed to create the perfect noise prior to its release.

While all films leave no stone turned to create massive hype before their premieres, there is something relatively different about Cake and its illustrious promotions.

Not only is the family drama amongst the first of our movies to premiere at London’s Leicester Square, the director Asim Abbasi is already bagging accolades for his cinematic endeavor.

UK Asian Film Festival in London has awarded Cake with the best director award, assuring us that the fate of the Sanam Saeed, Adnan Malik, and Amina Sheikh starrer seems promising.

It is obvious that the tale has clicked just right with the global audience. But will it tug at the heartstrings of the locals, especially with a ‘not- so- desi’ name like ‘Cake’?

In a tete a tete with Brandsynario, Sanam Saeed was quick to clear the matter and revealed that there is a lot more to the title of the movie than just being a firangi word.

“Cake is a universally used word in all languages. It is even used in Urdu, Sindhi, and Punjabi. It doesn’t make us an angrezi burger just because of the name.

The delicacy has many layers to it just like people, emotions, relationships do. It is brought at all happy occasions and brings people together. Its symbol acts as a meeting point for people. The ingredients used to make it all taste different. But when they come together they form a perfect balance.

Hence, the metaphor is used to describe personality, emotions, and relationships.”

With so many movies hitting the cinemas and unfortunately bombing at the box-office, only a few soared high and minted massive moolah.

Will Cake be able to drive people to the cinema, we asked Asim Abbasi.

“The special ingredient in Cake is its relatability and honesty of storytelling. We have tried to be very truthful with what we were trying to do i.e. telling a family story with very intricate detail and look at how these relationships evolve.”

According to the director, Pakistanis have not yet seen a plot akin to Cake in cinemas ever before.

“I hope it pushes the industry in the direction where people are given a chance to tell their stories and we can have different kinds of narratives, rather than just one tale being told multiple times in various ways”, stated Abbasi.

Another imperative thing we noticed in the trailer was the portrayal of headstrong women in the tale. Meanwhile, other entertainment veterans focus on becoming the voice of the comparatively suppressed gender in Pakistan.

Here’s what Asim revealed for opting a different approach in Cake.

“It was not a conscious decision, it was just how I see women. The intention was not to show empowering women, but to exhibit women I see on a day-to-day basis. These are the women who are empowered and are not being subdued.”

“I felt the same way”, piped in actor Adnan Malik. I had very strong female influences all my life and in a way, I felt very connected to the script. While we see less of such women around us, it will be nevertheless a good take on the portrayal of women in Pakistan.”

With the movie’s release just two days away, Cake is entering cinemas with full force along its star-studded trio confident about being victorious.

But will the mass Pakistani audience who discreetly loves cheesy dialogues and items numbers welcome the intellectual saga? Let’s wait and watch.

Pakistani Movie ‘Azaadi’: Trailer, Release Date & Cast

azaadi

The race to announce Eid releases this year is on and Azaadi has become the first film to release its trailer.

The Pervez Malik Films – ARY Films Production brings back the macho man of the 90s Moammar Rana back to the screen and he has been paired with TV star Sonya Hussyn, getting the lead role for the first time in a film.

Written and directed by Imran Malik, the film revolves around the struggle of Kashmiris in the Indian Occupied region and how those involved in a mujahid’s life are affected by it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vhxpwaHbW_Q

Moammar Rana looks every inch an action hero in the trailer and has maintained himself well especially in an era when younger heroes are appearing in films as well. It must be noted that he was the first film star to migrate to TV a decade back and that move was one of the many reasons why the film industry couldn’t do well even after films like Yeh Dil Aapka Huwa.

As for his co-star Sonya Hussyn, this film might prove to be her ticket to filmdom considering she had a supporting role in critically acclaimed Moor.

Sonya has become a force to reckon with on TV and if she plays her cards right, films might prove to be her final destination.

azaadi

Then there is Nadeem Baig who had been an integral part of Pervez Malik’s career especially in the 70s and the 80s when the two collaborated for many hits such as Pehchaan, Talaash, Pakeeza, Hum Dono, Qurbani and Kamyabi.

There could have been no better way to celebrate his association with Pervez Malik than by acting in the first film produced under Pervez Malik films after his death.

This is not Imran Malik’s first film as a director – his first film Tere Bin Jiya Na Jaye came out a decade back – but it is certainly his first after polishing his skills on TV as a writer/director. Australian cinematographer Ben Jasper has done an amazing job as a DOP and makes it stand out amongst most of the film’s released recently.

In fact, Azaadi might be the kind of action film we have been missing since it has:

a) Moammar Rana who isn’t new to action and

b) a plot that depends on guns and helicopters.

It might not be as big budgeted as Bollywood’s Tiger Zinda Hai but our ‘Tiger’ has all the capability to do well on Eid.

Internet Stands Up for Mahira Khan After Another Smoking Video Leaked!

mahira-khan-tedx-lahore

The starlet Mahira Khan is facing the wrath of the internet all over again as another video of Mahira is leaked in which she can be seen smoking a cigarette.

She became the center of attention on social media last year as well when she was caught sharing a smoke with Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor.

What people need to understand is that she owns nothing to Pakistanis beyond her hard work as an artist.

Despite having zillions of social problems in Pakistan, the internet is all after the actress Mahira Khan. She was smoking a cigarette to take a break, an act that many Pakistani men do in every corner of this country without any fuss or becoming a national meme.

Despite her immense efforts in creating a positive image of Pakistan on various international forums, she is facing hatred from the people of her own country and for no good reason!

Roll in peace’ #missveet2017

A post shared by Mahira Khan (@mahirahkhan) on

But luckily there are some people who are on the other side of the fence and show support to Mahira as they rightly understand that smoking is her personal choice and she is not affecting any other person through her act.

Look at some Tweets of the people who are showing support to Mahira Khan:

It’s hard to comprehend the fact that why it is socially acceptable for a man to smoke but it becomes a national crises when a woman smokes! If it is wrong then it is wrong for everyone, right?

The amount of hatred against the actress is not justified at all. It is so depressing that people are ignoring her hard work, efforts and dedication towards her work and all they can comment on is her personal life and choices!

Being a public figure does not mean that the person is a public property. The internet needs to understand that it is her personal choice to smoke or not. It is necessary that we focus on ourselves first and make ourselves better instead of judging other people.

If you have anything else to add to this story, let us know with your comments.

Facebook Friendship Requests to Expire!

Remember the cute guy/girl you sent a friendship request about 2 years ago, who has neither accepted or deleted it?

Well, you might be out of luck as unaccepted friendship requests will soon expire.

Facebook is experimenting with a feature, which will declare all unaccepted requests ‘expired’ after 14-days.

After the 14-day period, it will ‘self-destruct’, for now, the feature is currently in its testing phase, it will soon be rolling out for the entire user base of the social media network.

According to TechJuice, it will also provide perks to social media influencers and public figures by limiting the number of pending friend requests. Facebook only allows 5000 friends and only a limited number of pending requests.

The sum of current friends and pending requests cannot exceed 5000. Therefore, the feature will make it less likely to hit the pending friend request maximum by cleaning up every request fortnightly.

UNCTAD & Alibaba Business School Kick off eFounders Initiative for Asian Entrepreneurs

The United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and Alibaba Business School today enrolled the first class of 37 Asian entrepreneurs for the eFounders Initiative at an opening ceremony held on the Alibaba campus in Hangzhou, China.

The 11-day course is part of a commitment by Jack Ma, Alibaba Group’s founder and Executive Chairman and UNCTAD Special Adviser, to empower 1,000 entrepreneurs from developing countries in five years.

The launch of the first program for Asian entrepreneurs comes after the success of the inaugural class for 24 African participants last November.

Following a rigorous selection process, the final candidates from Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam will embark on an11-day intensive course providing first-hand exposure to e-commerce innovations from China and around the world and become eFounders Fellows.

Eventually, these young entrepreneurs will become catalysts in their home country that will spur the digital transformation of their economies.

Smart partnerships

“We want to reach out to youth and include them in the work we do for inclusive and sustainable economic growth,” Arlette Verploegh, Coordinator for the eFounders Initiative at UNCTAD, said. “The initiative is about bridging the digital divide for young entrepreneurs and unlock their potential. It is part of a set of smart partnerships UNCTAD is creating to reach the sustainable development goals.”

All participants are founders of their respective start-up companies, ranging from e-commerce, big data, logistics, fintech, payment, and tourism.

“We are excited to extend this fellowship to entrepreneurs from Asia for the very first time as part of our commitment to empowering digital champions and communities around the world,” said Brian A. Wong, Vice President of Alibaba Group, who heads the Global Initiatives program.

“Our goal is to inspire entrepreneurs to serve as pioneers for building a more inclusive development model that is not just good for their business, but also good for society by creating platforms that all can participate in and benefit from.”

Under the auspices of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the initiative is aligned with the wider call to action to ensure that no one is left behind in the digital economy, and to help bridge the digital divide faced by businesses in emerging markets.

Jointly organized by UNCTAD and Alibaba Business School, the eFounders Initiative also supports Alibaba’s mission to help small businesses succeed in their home markets and beyond. It was first announced in 2017 by Jack Ma in his capacity as the UNCTAD Special Adviser for Young Entrepreneurs and Small Business when he, together with Dr.Mukhisa Kituyi, Secretary-General of UNCTAD, visited Africa.

E-commerce ecosystems

The participants of the eFounders Initiative will learn first-hand the transformative impact e-commerce and technology have on society in China and participate in lectures and discussions with local practitioners and executives to identify the lessons that can be applied to their own markets. Topics covered will include e-commerce, payment, logistics, big data and tourism from Alibaba Group and other successful companies in the e-commerce value chain, with sessions touching on digital finance, smart logistics, and rural e-commerce development, among others.

Upon graduation, participants will officially become Fellows of the eFounders Initiative and make formal commitments on how they will apply the learning from this program. As part of the wider eFounders Initiative community of promising young entrepreneurs around the world, UNCTAD and Alibaba Group will also continue to advise on and provide support for the creation of e-commerce ecosystems jointly with other stakeholders.

The first class of eFounders Fellows – 24 entrepreneurs from Africa – completed the program in November 2017 after a similar two-week intensive workshop in Hangzhou.

To continue the impact of the initiative, UNCTAD and Alibaba have already completed a full round of follow up meetings with the fellows, each of whom are actively applying what they have learned to their own enterprises, as well as sharing insights with their home communities. Fellows are working toward achieving their commitments and will continue to check in with UNCTAD and Alibaba every three months.
