Contrary to expectations, the 11th edition of Telenor Bridal Couture Week did not exude charisma and glory that it usually does. This bridal extravaganza took place from 11th to 13th of December at Falettis Hotel, Lahore. Having a roster of new and old designers, TBCW’15 was a jumble of hits and misses. Ignoring all the low points, we have rounded up the most outstanding moments and highlights during the bridal week.
The Best of TBCW’15 Red Carpet
The glitz and glamour that one witnesses on the red carpet of a couture week was slightly amiss from the event. Despite the lack of sheen and shine of the red carpet, one diva who stunned us with her red carpet look is none other than LSA winner, Amna Ilyas.
Adorning a jumpsuit by Khaadi Khaas which she further elevated with a fur stole, Ilyas looked ravishing in her simple ensemble paired with bold makeup. Besides Amna, alluring beauty of Humaima Malik also dazzled the red carpet. When it comes to male celebrities, model Jahan-e-Khalid impressed us with his layered style.
The Best Collections
Even though TBCW’15 lacked synchronization and failed to reflect one coherent theme, veteran designers like HSY and Nilofer Shahid saved face and managed to showcase some gorgeous collections. Among the new lot, we were impressed by a few bold designs of Zaheer Abbas, where he experimented with the color black.
Moreover, Fahad Hussayn’s Gulzaar Manzil also showcased some regal pieces that captivated attention owed to its finesse and detailed work.

The Best Bridal Looks
Hearts begin to beat a little faster when the sizzling beauty Sabeeka Imam walks the ramp and when it comes to carrying a bridal look, eyes stop blinking! Whether it’s a saree or a lehnga choli, she carries everything with equal panache. In addition to Sabeeka Imam, we also loved Rubya Chaudhry. She stunned the audience with her confidence, transcending from her tomboy and bubbly avatar into something a majestic a bride.
The Best Show Stoppers
From Mira Sethi and Adnan Siddiqui to Humayun Saeed and Sabina Pasha, TBCW’15 brought forward the same old faces as show stoppers but in entirely unique looks. However, the vibrant duo of Osman Khalid Butt and Maya Ali managed to steal all the limelight as they walked for the ace designer, Maria B. They showcased a brief but an adorable dance move on the ramp that evidently reflected their strong chemistry.
In addition to Osman and Maya, it was refreshing to see cricketer Wahab Riaz on the ramp. Although, he has walked the ramp before, watching him grace the ramp after such a long time was definitely refreshing.
