Sadia Khan Rejected Emraan Hashmi’s Movie ‘Azhar’ After Urwa Hocane

After the uber-gorgeous Urwa Hocane, the talented Pakistani divas, Sadia Khan too rejected the offer to work in Emraan Hashmi’s most anticipated Bollywood flick ‘Azhar’; the movie also stars Nargis Fakhri, Parachi Desai, Lara Dutta, Rajesh Sharma and Gautam Gulati.

According to e-mag, Sadia Khan disclosed that she was offered a lead role in Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming film Azhar, but she rejected the offer before reading the script. The actress revealed that the film includes intimate scenes and she does not want to make the same mistake as her Bollywood debut ‘Dunno Y2… Life is a Moment.’

Produced by the queens of Bollywood Shoba and Ekta Kapoor and directed under the banner of an American novelist, Tony D’Souza, the movie is based on the famous and much controversial Indian Cricketer Muhammad Azharuddin. The movie revolves around some of the bold and life-changing incidents of the cricketers’ life.

Sadia Khan has also starred in the popular drama serial ‘Abdullah’ opposite Imran Abbas.


Urwa Hocane was also offered the same role; however, she too rejected the offer. The actress is busy shooting sequels for her upcoming film Two+Two, alongside Bilal Ashraf and Ali Azmat.

Urwa disclosed, “I denied Azhar because I don’t want to do bold scenes, but that was not the only reason. My commitment was elsewhere and also I didn’t place my efforts at the same level to play a leading female role in the film.”
