PTCL becomes Pakistan’s first telecommunications service and operator to sign a collaboration agreement with the online entertainment company, Netflix. The purpose of this agreement is to bring resources to Pakistan in order to enhance online streaming.

The agreement talks about how both companies will share resources for mutual benefits, and in exchange, they will ensure users will get the best kind of experience with the online service providers.

The agreement also mentions that Netflix will soon bring forth content to share with fans online who prefer to stream. PTCL is now officially supporting Netflix Pakistan content. PTCL’s Chief Commercial Officer, Adnan Shahid said,“Digital entertainment is PTCL’s key priority and our partnership with Netflix is another step in this direction. We look forward to working with Netflix to offer new and exciting services including world class Netflix original series and movies in Pakistan.”

Later, Tony Zameczkowski, Vice President, Business Development for Asia at Netflix added, “We are excited to partner with PTCL in Pakistan and are looking forward to providing high-quality entertainment content for the Pakistani consumers.”

Netflix already has over 86 million subscribers, in over 190 countries, and an increasing library, growing every day. PTCL is also one of Pakistan;s fastest growing telecommunications and internet service provider.
